Great place to go for a beer and a meal. Visited 7th Ave on friday with a packed crowd still managed to find myself and my Visitors from Melbourne a table. Staff were so friendly and willing to offer suggestions on the meals which were delightful. My Melbourne friends couldnt believe the level of service and the quality of the food. The night had a chase the ace offering $2,800 going and we had many tickets but unfortunately we werent the lucky ones to draw the opportunity. :-( . Good thing is neither were they with the prize now Jack potting to $2,900 . Will be keen to try again next friday :-)
Great menu, very accommodating service. Particular mention of Christine who served me - nothing was too much trouble. The food was very nice, sweet potato chips were excellent.
Love 7th Ave Bar, it is the go to place for me and my partner whenever we are in Midland and looking for a reasonably priced lunch and cold drink. The food is constant quality 'pub grub' that is served quickly. Staff are efficient and friendly. Only negative is the tables on the raised level at the back of the pub are often sticky which makes playing cards difficult, but somebody comes quickly to clean when asked.
The pasta of the day is always tasty and good value. 7th Ave Beef Burger (with added bacon) is a winner when you just cannot be bothered deciding!
I have not had a bad meal here, so I am quite surprised to see all the negative reviews. The servings have always been a good size and very tasty. The service is always very fast and it is quite often packed.
I'm some distance from the Midland area but went here for dinner last night (12/01). The chicken schnitzel was the size of my plate, glorious none the less; I wish I could have finished it! Garlic sauce on point and a very reasonable price. Will definitely be returning in the near future.
7th Ave has such a nice family, relaxed feel to it. The food is generous, fresh, well-priced and arrives all together, promptly and piping hot. I really like the Chilli Mussels (with extra garlic) and the lamb shanks are massive (the dog loves it when we come back from here as he gets the 2nd shank no-one can ever finish). The service can be on and off here but generally are very friendly and accommodating.
(Two40Three in Morley can take a lot of pointers from this place.)
My family and I absolutely love this place. Friendly service. Always sufficient in there ethic and enthusiasm. The food is ALWAYS on time, fresh and piping hot. Great service. Great environment. And I Absolutely suggest you try their breakfast menu and beer of the month!
This place is great.
It's an affordable, reliable, easy please, something for everyone no brainer.
It's not flashy and the decor is "classic", it is a Bistro with a capital B but don't let that scare you off.
Food is good. I had fish of the day that came with my own brick of potato bake. It was great, I wish it wasn't only a special so I could go back and have it again.
Great place to eat. Food is good, reasonably priced and large servings. Staff are attentive ( asked if we would like a drink when we were shown to our tables). We have never found anything too much trouble. This type of service has kept us coming back
The Caesar salad is lovely. It's a great place for a business lunch if you're out this way. Drop in... You'll see what mean. Do the outside thing on a sunny day. it's worth it
Chilli prawns. Great feed
Great food however since the older man has been there the friendliness has disappeared. All the other staff are friendly but this guy is blunt and unaccomodating. Really disappointing and it's disappointing to write this as it's always been a favorite of ours. Meals also come out way to fast.

Great price and great service have been a few times
A little known Gem. This is a rare old pub, on a quiet side street, on what was probably once a bustling main street in Midland in the pre-mall era. It is a good sized pub and restaurant, very clean and well decorated with inside and outside dining. It has a decent, leafy beer garden, next to a (very) quiet road. Food is good, and fairly priced. They do a beer of the month for $4.90 (at time of writing). We had a meal tonight, and paid $9.80 for a pint of Tooheys Extra Dry and a glass of wine - won't find that too often around Perth. Staff were friendly, and bouncers were helpful - called a taxi for us, and invited us to bring our drinks and wait in the front veranda area until it turned up. The pub has a karaoke on a sat night, which can be "entertaining" - can always sit outside if not your thing. Worth a look. If you think you're too posh to be seen in Midland, then stay away and leave the good value food and nice venue to us mere mortals. Go and pay $12 for your drinks somewhere else..
Note: Taxis seem to be a lot easier to get nowadays - the driver told us they had changed to a new system that is a lot fairer. We had a taxi ride back to Caversham on a sat night after 10pm for $23, only had to wait 10 mins. A welcome change from a few years ago..
Thumbs up. My partner and I frequent 7th Ave regularly, and we have never been disappointed. Staff are friendly, meals come out quickly and it is ALWAYS busy...not to mention the free port after your meal!!! Well done 7th Ave!
Like it! Will be back again
Turned up with no booking and was seated straight away, had mussels entree and ribs main.both were fast, hot and tasty.service was excellent.will be back for sure
Best service ever! Go here on a weekly basis. Foods amazing, big portions and karaoke on a saturday goes off!
We went here last night and had a lovely meal. The servings were huge and food was great. The only negative is that we ordered the burger and chips kids meal for our son and it was just a plain meat patty and piece of cheese thrown in a bun. No sauce or salad in there. Pretty boring, especially compared to the great meals the adults had. The $4.90 pints of the beer of the month were great value too!
Me and my girlfriend go here almost every week without fail. Best customer service to date, very attentive and professional. The food is definitely a 10/10 - never had the need to complain as it's just that good. We usually order the steaks with garlic or pepper sauce and these are always done perfectly and exactly how we asked- and on Mondays these are only $14- can't ask for more than that! Would recommend this over and over as its just a really great pub!!
Very Nice. Eat here on and off. Food is always yummy and is huge for the price. Staff always friendly and happy to give you an opinion on the food. Definitely keep going back.
Delicious Lunch. My fella & I shared a grilled chicken sandwich and a steak sandwich for lunch - they were the two best sangers e have had in a long time! Hot, fresh and very tasty - full of fillings and served with crispy hot chips. And the lass who served us was smiley & pleasant. Thanks for a great lunch!
Great ribs!!! Enjoyed them - messy but good.
Good pub grub. I have been dining at 7th Ave fairly regularly over the past ten years and was surprised to read so many negative reviews. I guess its true that people are more inclined to review when they have a negative experience. If it was so bad the restaurant would not be consistently full as it seems to be whenever I go there. This is what it is. Reasonably priced pub food. We ate there last week and ordered the pork ribs and lamb shanks. Both were very generous serves. The lamb shanks were falling off the bone as they should be and the mash and gravy was delicious. The ribs were a bit over-cooked but tasted delicious albeit sweet and the chips were awesome. I've had ribs here before and they have been more succulent.
7th Ave always has affordable specials - I was tempted to try the spinach and ricotta canelloni for less than $10. If you want gourmet food go to a fine dining restaurant. I have never had a problem with service either and the food has always been delivered in a short space of time. It's also nice to not have to spend as much on drinks as the meal with $4.90 pints and reasonably priced wine.
Our chicken Parma was Yum...... Our chicken Parma was
Yum... Was a quiet day when we went so fast service :)
Good food and good wine eve.... Good food and good wine
even better service all at our table enjoyed the night very much
Gr8 Steak Night. Where else can you get a steak, chips and salad for $13.50? Cooked the way you like it, served quickly and washed down with a Guinness. Monday Steak Nights at 7th Ave are a winner for me!
Today the steak sandwich and chips were to be devoured. The steak wasn't cooked rare like I asked, although not completely killed. The Turkish bread and the salad was pretty good although I think the sauce could have done with some more seasoning. The deep fried taters were a little oily although had a nice crunch. I thunk the value of the meals is the big advantage here, coinciding with a large selection to choose from. Food 5.5/10 service 6.5/10 decor 6/10
Excellent food, have been to this pub many times and standards
Service was a bit slow but the food was great! I had a seafood pasta and there was alot of seafood in it, not like other places. Another great meal was the lamb shanks and the chilli mussels.
Beautiful!! Great food great service can be bit Slow on weekends due to bar
