Review Sawasdee Thai Orchid - Mildura

I loved my meal, and the service was lovely. I'm vegan and I've travelled Thailand extensively, so I'm used to having lots of Thai options but I'm aware of the use of oyster/fish sauce in Thai cuisine. I asked which options were suitable for me and the lady who served me knew exactly what was in each dish and was very friendly and helpful. My cashew stir-fry with coconut rice was exactly as I remember from Thailand. Can't wait to go again!

The food is nice, and well presented, a large menu with a lot of choices. The drinks were really nice, they have smoothies and iced coffees and a few other choices, (definitely recommend the iced coffees). They have EFTPOS too which is really useful. The location is pretty convenient, central and a lot of car parks nearby.

Dont let the decor put you off, the food here is fresh and delicious. Only in town for one night and very glad to have found this gem which is very reasonably priced.

Come on by guys while you get a meal of a lifetime with no prawns and an story fry soup instead of noodles

Obviously, I came here on the basis of other reviews, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. I was the only diner at the time, which is disappointing for the owners - they deserve to be full. However, it was a Thursday night - if that makes a difference in Mildura. I had the Prawn Spring Rolls and the Pad Pak (Pork) with a side of Jasmine Rice - and thoroughly enjoyed both. Serving size - see pictures, were generous. As mentioned by other reviewers, the staff were friendly and gave me my space. I'll definitely return!

we have been to Okami now 3 times the food is always good but check your order before walking out the door. Twice now I have arrived home with an incomplete order, might be a minor complaint but it's a pain in the ass.This was our first visit here after many people recommending it to us. We were impressed with the food but very very disappointed with the service.

I never been to Thailand but have few Thai friends that often we share lunch together so I know what I expected in Thai food. And now Mildura have authentic Thai food without any twist which sometimes can taste totally different from original. So, if you looking for authentic Thai food..dont missed this place.

First time at the Thai Orchid in Mildura - was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food and the courtesy of the staff. We did not mind that there was no alcohol, but the Lemongrass drink was delicious and very cooling on a hot day. Would definitely go back again and try something else. A must try for those that like Thai food.

Hands down the best! This is real Thai food, just like you would be served in Thai Land! All the curry pastes are made with love. My taste buds thank you! Lunch special $13. Service as happy as you would expect in Thai land!

This is my favourite Mildura restaurant for eat in and takeaway. I've been both in a big or small group and without fail the service is excellent. Staff are lovely and friendly (particularly the lady...sorry I don't know your name), food is fresh, tasty and nicely presented. Byo is convenient and the prices are good value. The decor isn't fancy but I'm there for the food!

Great food and Very nice people that own and run the restaurant... I took my wife there tonight and not only did we have a lovely night there, but we also learnt that the owner and her mum come from BuriRam the same place my wife and me and all of my wife's family come from... Good coincidence.. I would highly recommend Sawasdee Thai Orchid, 90% of what I eat is Thai cuisine, my wife had a restaurant of her own in Thailand, that's how we first met and this restaurant, there food and there friendly staff made me feel like I was home in Thailand again... I look forward to eating there again soon..

I had to do this... Last night me an my partner an mum an dad went to this little restaurant in langtree ave. the lady's working in there where smiling an very polite an awesome to talk to. Me an my mum ordered the pork belly salad. I've never tasted such amazing food in my life. My partner order a chicken meal with the salad, an my dad had the sweet an sour... The food was the best food, everything was cooked perfectly. We ordered a coconut rice some roti bread with the dip, we had some Thai drinks. Everything was beautiful. Perfect. I am highly recommending this place, it's a relaxed quiet area. An it shits all over Thairiffic!!!! And let's be honest it was only half the price of Thairiffic... We will be back an possibly make it a weekly thing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! 10 out of 10 well done guys.

We are from Melbourne and this is the best Thai I have ever had. We had the satay chicken and red duck curry it was so fresh and tasty. We will defiantly be going back for more!!!!!
