Review Loveon Cafe - Mile End

Noorzidah M N
Lovely cafe just at the corner of residential area. Superb food, great service, nice ambience. Cafe was well decorated. Tasty scrambled eggs with salad and rye and chicken sandwich too. So many choices to choose. Ample parking at any side of road you wish to choose. There were many people there, some taking away but most of them dine in. Highly recommend this cafe.

Had breakkie with my family, everyone loved the food, plus was one of few open on public holiday . Highly recommended

I was blown away by the explosion of flavours. The croquettes were well seasoned with spices and couldn't fault the quesadilla! Everything just yum!

Its a beautiful cafe, food is awesome. Its kind of a hippie style cafe you can find from around the globe, whatever you order is presented in a unique way. Staff is kind and welcoming. Portions are also of good size. Great place near Airport to hangout with friends along with some tasty food and happy vibes. For me the best thing was I found watermelon juice on their menu and that made me excited about the place before even going there.

Great range of different cuisines. Lots of veggie and vegan options. Food took a little while but that's because it was busy. The food was worth the wait. Massive portions. Staff were fantastic. The Muffins and desserts were delicious. Only downside was it was very loud inside. Quirky layout. Loved it.

Cute homely Cafe with a good mix of vegan and spiced foods lots of cold and warm drink options and toys readily available for younger kids. Food was flavoursome, large portions and different to alot of other cafes around. Quick service and a nice outdoor area. Toilet was not so nice, but adequate.

An eclectic vibe with great staff. The food was Devine! Also very prompt. Huge portions for the empty belly or something a little extra to take home. A cute little area for kids and a refreshing courtyard with a huge tree made it all that more enjoyable.

Lots of atmosphere. All day breakfast, lots of the menu items have a South Asian quality, and the food is made with love. Plenty of veg options. Highlight is the lentil pie and chick pea pie.

Fabulous place, great food, amazing service and a fantastic vibe. Have been there so many times and this place never seems to disappointed. #MUST VISIT

Wife and I met a friend and her lad. Just love the real feel if this place and the yummy cafe food. The berry shake was large and cool, wifes muffin yummy and iced latte great. Birds in the cage fun, albeit a bit noisy. Love to come back.

Very cool spot! Been meaning to check this place out for awhile now and glad I finally got the chance. Super friendly service, fantastic atmosphere. The hardest part is deciding where you want to sit! Only stopped in for coffee, juice and a sweet treat this time around, but will be back for brunch. The vegan, gf brownie was delish! Nailed it, not too sweet and great texture. Coffee was wonderful. Will be back.

Big breakfast meals and a glass of fresh juice. This cafe never disappoints in terms of food. Is Always full and crowded. Found it a lil congested with so many people and less space. But we keep going back for the courteous staff and good food.

If breakfast/brunch curry is your thing, this is the place for it!! We ordered two dishes for brekkie. The Bangla Surprise was a delicious lentil stew, reminiscent of South Indian curries, accompanied by perfectly poached eggs and pita bread. My girlfriend had the Loveon Croquettes stuffed with jalapeños and mushroom. It was packed full of flavour and crispy kale.

For coffee lovers, a bite from banglar promise and a sip of coffee is like heaven for your palette.

Highly recommended for those who love spices in their food and life.

When you see the sign on Henley Beach Road pointing to Loveon Café - make sure you make the turn and give it a try - you will find a great suburban café with a really interesting menu. We shared a juice which was freshly made and delicious and shared mushrooms on toast and a breakfast taco. Both were generous serves with great taste. The staff were all friendly and efficient - our water glasses were constantly filled, and the fruit in the water jugs was a nice touch.

Fabulous! Hidden in the back streets of Mile End, this hipster cafe serves super tasty and reasonably cheap brunch/lunch dishes. We enjoyed the Afgan Lamb Kebab and Royal Tandoori Chicken Salad with a side of Coconut Curry Chips!! So flavoursome, yum!

It's a must try cafe. Had quick lunch at this place and surprise with what they offer. I had afghan lamb kebab, the taste was awesome, I can taste spice and herbs in the meat, something different. Usually I taste the original lamb, but putting herb and spices make it more delicious. Friendly staff, the food came out promptly and unique middle east interior design.

A little gem in the suburbs of Thebarton - easy to find and easy parking on the shady streets. This is an unusual place offering a range of foods including some with a Bangledeshi influence. The decor is eclectic - and better then the retro shabby stuff that is too common in Adelaide cafes now. Loved the kids' drawings along one wall and the unusual lights. Heaps of indoor and outdoor seating - a very 'chilled' place.
Right from the start the service was fantastic - how I wish that more cafes provided this level of service - not overdone, just friendly, efficient and welcoming! I was immediately offered water and although I am not a fan of water with celery or fruit in it, it was a welcoming start. For the second glass there was no fuss about me asking for just plain water. On such a hot day, it would have been a nice touch if the water was cold rather than room temperature - but this is a minor point.
On this occasion, I had scrambled eggs on Turkish bread. The meal was served quickly and the eggs were fluffy and tasty - no leathery eggs here! The coffee was also delivered quickly and was strong and good quality.
This place is family friendly, pet friendly and judging from the customers who were being addressed by name there is a strong regular following here of all ages. It is obvious that this place is popular and a fantastic choice for this part of Adelaide.
Summary: interesting menu choices with all day breakfast; service top notch and fast; food good quality, coffee perfect. Relaxed vibe with stacks of room inside and out. Easy parking on the street with no time limits - remember this is a 50km per hour zone! Worth a try? Definitely - I will be going again to try a lunch option and would recommend this place to anyone looking for good food in a fun place.

Good coffee, nice food. In particular the Loveon scrambled eggs on Turkish bread and the Bangladeshi meatballs.

Service is fine but can be frustratingly slow, in particular if you are taking away.

Interesting decor (eclectic = nothing goes)!
Great service but then I'm biased as China my friends daughter works there!

Gorgeous breakfast dishes including the Bangladeshi meatballs on toast.

A lot of dishes have a spicy curry take which I personally love.

Very good value too.

Some of the best cafes in Adelaide are the ones hidden down side streets. They’re away from the busy traffic and there’s the convenience of easily finding a park. Located just outside the city is the popular Loveon Cafe. Set on a nice corner position, the cafe is a large open space full of colourful furnishings and walls adorned by childrens drawings. The all day breakfast menu is full of traditional favourites, while the lunch offerings are more international with some of the dishes inspired by the owner’s Bangladeshi background.

Quaint, organised chaos with a dash of loving food. The staff are uber friendly and helpful. Coffee is excellent. I had the vegan Moroccan style patties with salad. The avocado was a little under ripe, which was the only flaw. The café has a great ambience and parking was easy too.

This gorgeous little hole in the wall is hidden in the backstreets of mile end. Away from loud traffic with amazing coffee and skilled, very friendly staff it has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Adelaide.

This place is my favourite! I've been eating here since it opened and we come here almost once a week. Awesome food with awesome service. They are always consistent no matter how busy they are and its such good value for money. I'm always recommending this place to my friends.

Sneaky little tucked away cafe. Had the avocado and feta and staff were more than happy to change scrambled egg to poached egg. Very generous delicious serves and great value. Lovely quirky place and kid friendly :) will definitely be back!

Poppy finally tried Love On cafe and was not disappointed. I've been wanting to get down here as I've driven past the sign on Henley Beach road many times. When I walked in I had an overwhelming feeling of happiness and a fun vibe because of the colourful and cool fitout. I was greeted with smiles and laughter from the waitress and I'm guessing one of the owners. It was such a great refreshing experience to see people behind and in front of the counter without chips on their shoulders or a smug we're good and we know it demeanor. We started with a couple cappuccinos which were both great. We ordered the pastrami on rye sandwich which was fresh and satisfying. I will definitely order it again. The poached eggs & avocado with spinach leaves on Turkish bread was also great and was seasoned with an Arabic inspired seasoning. Prices were also incredibly reasonable. Poppy can't wait to return and try other dishes. Definitely recommend, thumb up, worth an eat

Love On - Love It
What a little gem! Just kicking myself that I haven't tried it earlier. Mushrooms on Toast, Freshly
squeezed OJ & Coffee all to die for. We'll be back.
Enjoyed the Banglar fish sandwich and berry heaven smoothie, both fine eats. Absolutely loved the funky decor, especially the hand drawn pictures papering the walls! Service was fantastic and very friendly. A beautiful hidden gem within the western burbs!

Hard to find a place like that. Friendly environment, healthy food and very affordable.

Really worth a visit if u near by, Especially "Banglar promise" for breakfast or something refreshing: Mango smoothie.

Called in for Breakfast for the first time after finding the cafe tucked away in a residential area. It's a very vibrant set up which has a large hippy feel. Yet don't let that scare you away as the food and coffee were outstanding. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the baked beans had a relish spin too them and were delicious. The coffee was as good as I've found in Adelaide. My mate got the chips which came out with a delicious basil pesto and mayonnaise tasting dip. Hidden Gem.

Tucked away in the back streets (head down Victoria off Henley Beach) Loveon is an absolute hidden gem. Enjoy a coffee, a fresh juice, some tasty midle eastern inspired food or just hang out with the staff. These guys are a delight! Loveon is colorfully decorated and has a really easy atmosphere. Catch up with friends or take a seat at the communal table and casth up on some reading. Whatever you're here for you'll be sure to feel welcome.

Nice little spot to relax, food is nice enough and very reasonably priced. Our dog was welcome and staff even brought water out for him. I recommend this for a weekend breakfast or even just call in to grab a takeaway juice.

Two visits in two days! Our family had the pastrami on rye which was the reason for the second visit! Warm, thick sandwich with plenty of filling; pickles, red onion, Swiss cheese, layered pastrami, tomato and mustard. Also tried the chicken Cobb; roast chicken, Swiss cheese, sautéed spinach, avocado and onion jam. So yummy! Also had fresh watermelon juice and orange juice. The bread and butter pudding was a favorite along with the brownie. A beautiful cafe with friendly staff.

I've only been to Loveon coffee once, and I had a lovely experience. The decor is lovely and 'cute' as this place used to be an uninspired old sandwich/milk bar/delicatessen (which I DID go to when I worked around the corner).

The waitress was lovely and introduced us to the specials. I ordered the Chicken Cobb Sandwich with a juice (plz note my intense ordering of chicken sandwich type meals).

We were served quickly & the food was fresh and tasty. The Chicken Cobb includes chicken, an onion jam (delish), cheese & greens.

I'd definitely pop in here for another lunch meeting if I was in the area!

Loveoncoffee is a review in progress for me. I have been here three times now over a long period of time and have had three totally different experiences.
The first time was for a quick lunch by myself, which I really enjoyed and made me think I had discovered a gem. The second time I brought my girlfriend along to show off my latest cafe discovery, but it was a disaster. Our orders were completely forgotten about and after we reminded them and eventually got our food, it was most unimpressive. Typical that when you build something up to someone it always lets you down. On the most recent visit, with Julia from Zomato, we both thoroughly enjoyed our lunches. I had the chilli cheese steak sandwich with a side of chips and a really well made coffee. The steak sandwich was great, despite the lack of chilli, and the waitress was really friendly and helpful.

I look forward to my next visit to determine whether Loveoncoffee is a highly inconsistent restaurant in terms of food and service, or whether my second visit was just a really off day.

The best place to hang out- lovely staff and great hospitality! The best coffee in Adelaide and not to mention awesome food!Tried their avocado and feta scrambled eggs, addicted!

Update: the menu has evolved a lot and includes plenty of veg options and a couple of vegan options. I had the Moroccan fritters which were amazing. The coffee and service is still great! Food and coffee prices are very reasonable.

Great coffee and beautiful decor. Unfortunately the food menu is very meat-heavy and the prices for juice are ridiculous - $8 for a juice if you want ginger.

Coffee was good but not great. They have a selection of non dairy milks. Have yet to returned to try the food as they didn't have many vegetarian options when I visited.

Love is everywhere. Cute little place
Smell of Arabica coffee hits pedestrian as they amble down to victoria Street.
Walls lined with wonderful kids art work. Food is healthy and fresh.

Definitely worth trying.

What a great little breakfast cafe!. Don't worry about location, get out of the CBD and get over here. Food was great. Specifically had some sort of poached egg ratatouille. Fantastic. Coffees are good. Only confusion seems to be if it's Loveon Coffee or Loveon Cafe, but it's all good!

Where is the love............ This cafe has a lot of potential, but its in the wrong hands. The manager of this cafe disrespects his workers, speaks down to them and shows them no respect. I was sitting in this cafe the other day and watched first hand how he was treating his new trainee. Thats not how you train someone. Please hire an interior designer to fix up your interior, its horrible. ALSO, the use of cage eggs!!! Thats so not on!
Mark
Great little cafe - Average coffee. Another example of a cafe who generally does all the right things: Nice enough fit out, friendly and attentive staff, hearty and healthy food....BUT....the coffee is a let down. A well made coffee all in all, but over roasted and burnt! Not even the best baristas can fix that ! With so many local roasters doing exceptional specialty coffee, it's such a shame to see that this cafe has opted to use a big interstate coffee conglomerate for the sake of getting free loan equipment. Disappointing
Emmynicole92
RUDE. Never have I seen someone be so rude to their staff. I was in a few weeks ago and witnessed the manager "training" a new staff member. The way he spoke down at her was absolutely disgraceful and the fact he was speaking to her like this in front of customers was jut disrespectful.
And to point out, I don't know how they can let the little boy who is there all the time, just run free through the cafe. Walking through the chefs feet, dropping glasses, it's a major safety hazard!
Let me just say I'll never be going there again.
Jess
Amazing food, drinks and service! We had the mushrooms on toast and chicken tandoori, the quality and taste is impeccable. The bread they used was fantastic, they bake a lot of things and you can pick on the counter, I can't wait to try all the muffin flavours.
The decor is lovely, and the premise is also bike friendly. I highly recommend it!
Rny997
Bloody love it..... Inviting, friendly, down to earth in a salt like way............great breakfasts, lunch or cake.
yes...one cake in particular....the raspberry and coconut slice.
We havent been able to get past it to try anything else.

Authentic food. A place to visit in Adelaide

Not quite what I expected. I ordered the 'freshly house baked' fruit toast with the 'banana and honey mash' and asked specifically for my toast to not be buttered and for the butter to be on the side. I got a 1 and a half slices of tiptop white bread fruit toast - buttered - and a quarter of a banana sliced up with honey drizzled on top.
I don't care if that's what the cafe chooses to serve but please be honest in your menu descriptions - nothing frustrates me more than getting something I HAVEN'T ordered. Such a buzzkill.

Love on I just love it!. It's a family friendly place, coffee is to die for! The food fills that hole!
Must say the best muffins I have ever had! It's a great place to check out!!

The food here was nice enough, coffee was great, however the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We were brought 4 glasses for water, each one of them had lipstick or lips marks still on them. We alerted the waitress who brought us four more very promptly... All just as dirty! The sugar on the table is served in little pots, but the sugar was stuck together in the pot... Most likely from people double dipping their spoons in it. We actually moved to another table and had the same issue. As I said the food did present well and tasted nice, however if the front of house is presented in this way, I can only imagine what the back of house cleanliness must be like... My experience hasn't made me a regular.

Seriously this place is a real surprise, the food is really good, extra fresh. Delicious mushroom breakfast, juices great and of course great coffee.

The hidden gem of the inner west!. Hands down the best coffee in Adelaide! Try it for yourself - it is International Coffee Day after all!

Come and meet the owners, the super friendly staff and their modern take on traditional & international breakfasts, light meals & lunches - and why not treat yourself to a freshly made juice or freshly baked muffin or slice.

I rarely miss a day here - you'll soon understand why yourself!

Sunny side of the street. Tried Loveon when the sun was shining on a June afternoon. Coffee good, service was too. Menu, a work in progress. Go for the coffee - it's worth it.

Fantastic coffee and food! Wonderful team of staff and the owner is a great host!! This is a fantastic spot for brunch/coffee, very trendy yet unique from all the other cafés!

Annoying man. Great little place but the man that works there (maybe owner.. indian?) is annoying!! He recommends things without asking what you are after and when i ordered he tried to convince me to get something else?? I kept saying 'Nah i'll just stick to that' but he kept recommending alternatives. it was awkward! If you read this... please take it down a notch as you make me not want to go there! Food was good, very fresh and tasty and atmosphere is great :)

Mile End's new local! Nestled between houses just off Henley Beach Road, this place hasn't been open for long but already ticks a lot of boxes. Awesome coffee, awesome fresh juice, amazing house made cakes (of which there are a cruel amount, all delicious looking) and awesome service every time. The owners clearly did their research and are always very enthusiastic and helpful. Only suggestions would be to re think the furniture layout (the inside looks very sparse due to all tables being against the walls) and have a printed menu for tables. Keep up the good work!

Hidden away in the backstreets in Mile End near the corner of Henley Beach and South Roads is a delightful boutique café which offers a mix of flavours of gourmet cuisines from around the world. Loveon Cafe, situated on Gladstone Road, has been a buzzing venue which are sure to enjoy. They offer breakfast and lunch options, however their main feature is their coffee which is grown in Brisbane. Loveon Café also offer delicious fresh juices and smoothies which are great in the morning as a takeaway on the way to work. Try the Mangosteen Madness it is incredible! It’s a great spot for a catch up with friends (especially Mums & Bubs as there is plenty of room to move around inside), or a place to have that casual business meeting. Loveon Café is open everyday from 7am to 5pm except for Tuesdays. Loveon Cafe Gladstone Road, Mile End
