Pizza was great, light and fluffy base and quality toppings. I did get the soggy middle too, but it didn't bother me. It just needs a bit more thickness in the middle too combat that. The price is the only issue. Makes this place a once in a while for special occasions rather than my weekly go to pizza place.
Tasty pizza, traditionally made with no fuss. Flavour combinations are spot on, the crust is thin and the dough is light. It’s the closet thing to eating pizza in Naples that you’ll get here in Adelaide. Take away option always a bonus if you’re not up for dining in.
Service was ok but is was busy, food was awesome. The dough is perfect and the gnocchi is super light and fluffy. Just need to work on some toppings all abit to tomato based and get similar taste coming through.
Came here on a whim after seeing the "pasta night!" sign from the road. And I'm so glad we did. Our (homemade) pasta dishes were fresh and flavoursome, as if Nonna herself was in the kitchen keeping an eye on things. Authentic Italian food without all the fuss. The humble restaurant is cute with its gingham tablecloths, you really feel at home here. Can't wait to go back for some wood fired pizzas!
Pizzas were light and delicious, the food was fantastic, from the tender rabbit (truly amazing) to the crab pasta (plenty of crab meat) to the zeppole & Limoncello tart, great wines great prices. Will be back again & again !!!
Went here on a friends recommendation and I couldn't be happier. This little restaurant brings a little slice of Italy to Adelaide. Their pizza was the best I have had in a very long time... or ever. This is a real gem in the west and I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
Poppie popped into Napoli pizza bar which reminded him of home. Between the music and the smell of fresh San Daniele Prosciutto Poppies nostrils were filled with Italian goodness. One negative point is that the prices are too high for 12" wood oven pizzas in a small suburban pizza restaurant. Having said that Poppies a tutto (the lot) pizza was delicious as was his partners Altavilla. Crust was light and fluffy. Ambience and table service was very prompt and friendly. Definitely recommend this place if you've never been, check it out. Poppie had the calzone campangolo in ragu sauce over the weekend. Delicious! The waitresses are also quite lovely. Thumb up worth an eat 👍
Napoli Wood Fired Pizzeria e Ristorante is an Adelaide institution having served up delicious and authentic Italian cuisine for nearly 50 years. Nestled among other popular restaurants and cafes in the area, Napoli serves all the Italian favourites with antipasti, calzone, pasta, mains and pizza. The pizzas come in two sizes, 12 inch and 15 inch, and are cooked in a wood fired oven.
The food and service was excellent. The wood fired pizza was delicious as were all the sides we ordered. The way pizza should be made, will be back.
I've heard many, many good things about Napoli, and tonight pizza takeaway certainly didn't disappoint. Beautiful dough, toppings and pizza (as per photos). Highly recommended and cannot wait to try more from their versatile menu!
Pizza molto buona, probably the best pizzeria in the western suburbs, to appreciate more go and dine there, nice and cosy place, very friendly staff
Really nice authentic Italian Pizza, the owner is from Naples, I think that's the dialect I heard them speaking, the pizzas are some of the best I have ever eaten, you will never find a bbq meatlovers at this place as pizzas are traditional Italian, cooked in the woodfire oven at high temp which gives the pizza a rich smokey flavor, some of the pizzas have imported Buffalo Mozzarella on them as well
.
My favorite is the Altavilla pizza, Squid ink pasta is top notch too,
The menu other then pizzas is very nice as well, but be prepared to be pleasantly surprised as some of the dishes coming out of the kitchen are better then a handful of Italian restaurants around town that we've eaten at, A negative it is usually very busy on the weekends & we live 40 minutes away so we cant come all the time, especially if were in a large group with out booking, but it is worth!
I had been recommended to eat at this restaurant by a few people and luckily for me I finally tried it, is fairly close to where I live so that's a bonus. I've seen a few reviews about soggy pizzas so in to minds to try it, but for me this place was an excellent experience all round, the pizza was excellent, crunchy full of flavor and not paper thin, the staff were fantastic - both friendly and efficient & it had great atmosphere as well. I can't wait to get back and try some of the other items on the menu as I had the Nutella cheese cake for desert and that was to die for, the pork belly on the table next to us looked amazing so I will be differently trying that next time I'm in. Glad i gave them ago!
This is a nice little suburban pizzeria and restaurant. As those that know me will testify I am a traditional Napoletana pizza aficionado, and I definitely rate Napoli as being in the top 5 in Adelaide. Being named after the birthplace of pizza though, it must be held up to some solid standards!
Food:
I've only ever ordered pizza so I can only comment on that obviously. The highlight here for me is the tomato sauce. I'm not sure if it's San Marzano, but it's definitely tasty. The dough is nice and thin in the middle as it should be, however the crust can be a little too thick in my opinion, and also lacking a little bit of flavour. The base is also a little too crisp for my liking - I love when my pizza droops at the half way mark and I need two hands to hold it. The way it should be. The toppings are decent quality without standing out. Of course I am being picky here, don't get me wrong - the pizza is really good.
I've always wanted to try some of the other dishes but how can I ever order anything else when pizza is an option?!
Service:
The staff here have always been really friendly and helpful whenever I have visited which is great to see. The one time the pizza took slightly longer than it should I was given a coffee on the house - that's the correct way to treat customers. Big ups for service.
Ambience:
The place is really cozy thanks to the wood oven and the checkered table cloths and the old school Italian brick bar are nice touches. I have only been for lunch when it is nice and quiet, but it is a small space so I'm not sure if it maintains that sort of calm for dinner service.
Dish to look out for:
Pizza Obviously. And the best way to judge a pizza is via a Margherita. Just a side note - it's not on the menu but you can ask for Buffalo Mozzarella!
Went here last night. Had the garlic bread, gnocchi ragu, atomica pizza, and cannoli. Everything was amazing!! So delicious, will def be back!
I've found my new favourite pizza ristorante and its not to far from home.. We been here 4 times so far and every time the pizza & food has been excellent. I have a distant memory of a pizza I had in Shepherds Bush, London in 1981 in a small cafe run by an Italian brother and sister, that had been my best pizza up till now, Napoli's dough is light, thin and crisp and the ingredients are in perfect ratio. On one visit my daughter had the seafood marinara & I had the fish special which was sensational as well, Service is very friendly, and we really enjoy ourselves when we come hear, cant wait until we get through the whole menu!!!
Vongole Napolitano. Linguini mixed with SA clams,
Delicious !!!. I'm usually not a big pizza person, but I absolutely LOVED the pizza here!! It's super busy so I would recommend booking in advance if you want to go on a Friday or Saturday night.
I've been on a few occasions and my favourite pizza is the napoli (with crispy, pancetta) really hits the spot. My partner's favourite was the pork sausage pizza, which comes with red peppers too. I also really loved there food menu as well. I would definitely recommend trying this place for great pizza & night out.
New favourite. Pizza is incredible and pasta is delicious. Very reasonably priced too. Not sure of the name but the chicken rose sauced bolognese is delicious as is the garlic bread.
Glad to be back ..... Napoli's used to be a regular haunt of mine, many years ago. Perfect stop on the way home from a late shift - something for supper and the rest for the next days lunch. Always delicious.
I moved out of the area 9 years ago, so thought we'd get a Groupon Voucher and revisit them, to see if everything was still up to the same high standard. Pleased to say it is.
The Voucher entitled us to a 12" pizza (anything from the menu) and a glass of wine.
My partner chose the Americana, which he thought had a great flavour and he really liked the thinner style base.
I had the "The Lot" and asked for some prawns as an extra - he said there'd be a charge of $4.
I expected to see a few small prawns scattered across the top. Instead, I was very pleasantly surprised to see it came with 8 good sized Prawns and tasted fantastic. Well worth the extra money!!
A Nice night, with friendly service and fantastic food - 9/10. We wiil be back :)
Fantastic Pizza. Traditional wood oven pizza that is fresh and delicious. Hidden gem in the western suburbs. Great pizza, great coffee and great service.
Generous servings of pasta, recommend the marinara. Very friendly service, will be returning.
Naplolis has a great vibe, great place to go with family and friends and the food is awsome
Actual amazing! Wood oven what more could you ask for!
AMAZING. The quality of italian cuisene at Napoli pizzeria is absolutely unbelievably devine. A true experience of fine dine in regards to service and exquisite taste of food. Really stands out in importance of creating a diversity in organic selection of pizza, pasta and dessert masterpieces. HIGHLY recommend trying and both myself and family will definately be making Napolis an ongoing regular visit as our taste bud's just cant escape that addiction of texture and flavour.
Thank goodness there is finally a great Italian pizzeria/eatery in Mile End.
We had a lovely dinner of four cheese gnocchi, veal scallopini and eggplant parmigiana.
All the dishes were great. Service was very friendly and attentive and many friends have already been back.
This will become a favourite.
