Best coffee & food & ambiance option in the northern suburbs. Love the seared salmon bowl. The salmon is always beautifully cooked. Great cake & treats options too. Opens early! Love my 6 am coffee trips to Against The Grind.

Found this Cafe on our way to work one day. The food was delicious and was served on beautiful cutlery. The kitchen took a while to serve the food but it was well worth the wait Their coffee has a sweetness to it but still nice and strong. The cafe was beautiful and had a good base of visitors.

It’s the best cafe in the area hands down. Great vibe, friendly staff, food is on point, the coffee even pointier. Great for a catch up with friends, a casual connection or just for some delicious food in a lovely ambiance. Highly recommend!

The staff are nice and the food is okay. But it's always packed and the coffee isn't very good. I've tried here a few times and taken friends there too for other opinions, but each time we've all agreed the coffee has a weird taste.

AMAZING! Staff are super friendly and helpful, big selection on the menu for clean eaters and not so clean eaters... best of both worlds. Large selection of beverages also which is fantastic. Venue and layout is simply stunning with attention to detail I can’t fault ATG at all... I’m obsessed and have found my weekly brunch place which feels and looks like paradise

'Good' is such a little word to describe the food and coffee at 'Against the Grind' being a fussy eater the best word to describe this place is EXCELLENCE...

I’ve got more than two incidents but I will only mention two. I would go there most days before work but one morning they were busy so I decided to mention that I like an extra shot at the beginning and at the end of my order just so it does not get forgotten and it is made to my liking. When I got my order I could not taste the extra shot so I kindly asked it to be remade although they remade it I was met with a lot of defensiveness from the owner as she was the one that took my order where she began to argue they had put it in which was very unpleasant for me to deal with especially since my coffee cost $8 and I’d order them pretty much most days. My sister found ham in her sandwich which she didn’t order when she told them over the phone since she couldn’t return because of lack of time due to the fact of work hours they apologised. And the next time she ordered a sandwich they said they wouldn’t put ham. Like why would you when she didn’t order it 1 and 2 like the customer service especially from the owner is quite appalling.

My partner and I come here regularly. Coffee is amazing and great quality almond milk (I’m very picky) 🥛👌🏼.
Come here if you want fresh breakfasts, and love açai bowls / bowls in general. Fritters are one of my favourite too.
Staff are gorgeous. Beautiful pos vibes 🌱🍃🌿.

Love the light and fresh decor in this cafe. The menu had a great range of options with lots of raw treats in the fridge too. It wasn't too busy when we went and the staff were friendly. Will definitely come back to this gem.

ATG is my local - my favourite local by a mile! It is a breath of fresh air to Mill Park and it’s the hidden gem of the North. It has a Bali Inspired feel and it’s a light and calming space. The vegan and raw treats are simply delicious and the coffee is smooth. Cathy and her staff are warm and friendly and make you feel like you’re part of their family!

Absolutely stunning café tucked away in the Rang but obviously word has got around as the last time we visited it was very busy! Food, coffee and service all spectacular and the décor is fresh and lovely. My only critique (and I guess it's just a personal dislike) is the wooden plates/dishes are a little offputting. I can't stand to eat anything with those wooden disposable forks and the plates are almost as bad for me. However that being said I adore this place and the plates alone won't stop me returning.

A lovely cafe, tucked away in the Northern suburbs. Coffee is amazzzzzing!!! The menu has a variety of items for all tastes, chia pudding probably one of the best I have ever had & the ricotta pancakes, delish! The owner is a lovely lady, always smiling, so helpful & welcomes you into her beautiful cafe. Finally a decent cafe out in the suburbs, keep up the good work

Come here quite often for breakfast and a good coffee. Coffee has a nice flavour to it and is always well made, as is the food! Good new local spot for northsiders to grab some good food 🙌🏻
