This is one of the great restaurants of Sydney! The food and the make you feel welcome is just the best. Loved it! Great family business and the most friendliest staff. Thanks Babs and Bryce for taking me there. I'll be back soon, very soon!

Glad I found this old Italian restaurant. The specials are always great. Last night I had the Scallops that were delicious and firm and then the Tagliolini with Crab and cherry tomatoes and it was sooo nice 😊👍

The food is excellent. Five stars for that, without doubt. And the folks that run it are really charming. The location is pleasant. The only problem is the serving sizes are ridiculously stingy. I don't have a big appetite yet I comfortably eat 1 x entree and 2 x main courses before I feel even remotely full. When dishes are c. $30-$40 each that is very frustrating. UPDATE: I went back after not going for a long while, and the portions are now generous! Totally worth 5 stars now

Good food that tastes like a warm home cooked meal, with excellent family-run hospitality & attention to details. Service & food were very fast. Happy to return.

Wonderfull atmosphere and amazing food. Nice view of the bridge. The workers were wonderfull, excellent service. Couldn't recommend more for someone looking for a nice fancy dinner close to the harbour that doesn't feel stuck up or posh.

We have been loyal and loving customers and now friend with owner and front of house Lino Mascolo for over 30 years when he started introducing Sydney to the wonderful Italian food from his home island of Capri in Italy. Lino together with his wife Rosaria and daughters Francesca and Sara opened La Capanina his latest restaurant in 2011. Lino visits the fish market every day to select the best and freshest fish for his customers. The authentic Italian seafood dishes prepared by his diligent chefs always transport us back to the southern Italian seas and the island of Capri. Lino’s wine recommendations from his vast selection of Italian wines compliment the meal. The Italian deserts washed down with Lino’s famous home made Limoncello makes a memorable meal. Lino and his family offer an experience that is rare in Australia, but something that you experience often in Italy.

This is a lovely, family owned Italian restaurant that makes you feel at home. The dishes are simple but tasty and the owners are genuinely friendly. Service is quick and I'll come back again!
