Review Ripples At Milsons Point - Milsons Point

Paulo B
What an incredible experience here. The view is so amazing with eyes on the harbour, the bridge, the city skyline and Luna Park. Such a beautiful location well worth the visit just for that reason alone. The service is above and beyond. Positively friendly and welcoming and attentive, always refilling water and checking up on customers and very friendly to have a chat. The coffee and drinks are great and tasty! The seating is spacious and comfortable with mostly outdoor seating but lots of shelter and shade so it's just perfect! The food was not bad but not great. Everything was kinda greasy and overly salty. The mushrooms and tomatoes came out cold and bland and really not a nice experience to eat. Overall a really pleasurable experience with okay food and good drinks and an amazing view with incredible service. I probably won't come back for food but I will come back for some coffee and drinks and a nice brunch with friends or family.

We've celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary at Ripples yesterday. When I booked I've mentioned this in the reservation, but completely forgot that. It was a delicious surprise to be welcomed with glasses of sparking wine, special main dishes and candle on the dessert. Sam and Gary were absolutely fantastic waiters! Excellent service! Just to places in Sydney offered us such a high quality service so far. All the food were perfect and delicious, but to my taste the star of the evening, after my wife, of course šŸ˜, was the zucchini flowers! We loved the experience. And one of the things we liked the most as well was the fact Ripples allow BYO. For such a well known and well located restaurant this is certainly another differential. For sure we will be back there and we strongly recommend that you do the same. Ah! Just for your reference regarding prices, we have ordered two EntrĆ©e, two main dishes, one side dish, one dessert and we paid the corkage fee: AUD 166. Not bad at all for the marvelous experience we had. Good job Ripples. Cheers! šŸ„‚šŸ¾

The view and the food were very good but the service was surprisingly bad. We came here for breakfast and got the bill not even 40 minutes after weā€™ve sat down. They didnā€™t inform us about any Covid restrictions so we thought we could stay for at least an hour without having to rush. They only offer almond and soy milk as non dairy milk options for their coffees and you can only order one size. The food was great but they made us feel like they wanted us to leave as quickly as possible to welcome the lunch guests.

Beautiful setting, great food & wonderful service! Ripples is a very special place & will now be on our list of favourite spots to eat. We went there for dinner, to celebrate a special family birthday, but it would also be a lovely place for Sunday breakfast or a leisurely lunch. A great, Italian inspired menu, with plenty of options for everyone. The difficulty is deciding what to have! We shared a number of entrees between us, which was a great way of tasting a good selection of their options. We will be back soon!

The view of the restaurant is just wow. The staffs were all very nice and friendly. we came there for my friendā€™s bday and he was really happy with the ambiance. Plus this place is byo for 12 aur per bottle of wine. So it was totally worth it

The best location ever. Mesmerising views. Food was amazing. Delicious, superbly presented, staff very attentive and friendly. Loved stuffed zucchini flowers. So yummy and crispy. My pasta was the best so far. My friends had snapper, barramandi and pork dishes...all of them said that that was the best meals that they had in long times. Loved everything.

Got in with the Fork 50% meals and it was great value. Although initially hard to spot, once we were in we were shielded by the cold and windy winter night . Food selection is great and you coudn't go wrong. Probably quickest turn around from order to picking up forks, but just gives you more time to enjoy Sydney's night view and Luna Park.

Amazing food. Lovely scenic views. Great service. Entrees and nibbles were super yumm. Calamari rings, pork shoulder, roast pumpkin and walnuts, tiramisu were the best. Would go back soon.

The position and the view are outstanding while the breakfast was good. I don't like toast that looks and feels like a paving stone. I like thinner slices. Other elements on the plate were OK. The service from the young trainee waiter was excellent. Coffee good Yes will continue to take "out of towners" there for breakfast occasionally.

This place was absolutely the perfect spot for breakfast .. Fantastic location and views of the Harbour Bridge and City. Wow the food was Amazing and well priced might I say .. it was a pleasure to experience such a lovely place.
Sylvia Barlow
Had breakfast there it was very tasty , the bacon cooked to perfection, staff accomodating and friendly. Great view of the harbour.

Location canā€™t be faulted - views really are beautiful. The food was superb - can highly recommend the zucchini flower and the pork belly. The tiramisu dessert was not too heavy and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

We had a fabulous lunch here, the food was delicious and our waiter was excellent. It was my Sisterā€™s and our Sons Birthdays our waiter went out of his way to make their day very special. We will definitely be eating here again in the near future.
Belinda Ramirez
Really lovely personalised experience for my husband's Birthday dinner for two, the waiter even helped by singing Happy Birthday at dessert ļæ½ Pork belly was delicious, with matching Italian red, would recommend and go again!

My wife and I had lunch together with two friends at Ripples Miltonā€™s Point yesterday. The food and service was excellent! I would particularly like to thank our waiter Roy who made the experience even more enjoyable! Richard Watson

Views to die for... food and service fantastic. A great spot to chill and watch the world and harbour float by!

What an outstanding location! Celebrated my birthday in fine style. It is a must Sydney experience for anyone wanting to get a great perspective of the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Service was brilliant. Can't recommend highly enough šŸ˜€šŸ‘

We enjoyed our first meal at Ripples. I had been past the restaurant many times visiting Luna Park. Service was polite and prompt. Menu options were good. The food was excellent and on-time. My Melbournian visitors were impressed and Iā€™ll be returning again.
Fay Adam
Million dollar view, food was fantastic and staff were friendly and attentive - doubt you could get better than that anywhere !!!
Lucy Bartipan
Disappointing Sunday morning breakfast after our amazing lunch and dinner experiences at Ripples. Food took 40min to come out, they didn't listen to our request of no mushrooms, undressed spinach leaves, poached egg was hard boiled, only a teaspoon of feta on my avocado dish, avocado skin left on dish. I wouldn't choose to come again for breakfast.
Victoria Freer
Great place with lovely views of the harbour bridge and city. Food was outstanding with their signature dish of Fish and chips being so good.
Pearl Sunshine
Awesome view, friendly staff and beautiful food. Highly recommended

The restaurant whilst is located on the harbour with excellent views of Luna park and the harbour bridge, frankly is all it has going for it. It's basically an outdoor restaurant so I was cold and was forced to sit with my jacket on which was extremely comfortable. The heaters weren't on despite requesting to have them turned on. My partner and I were meant to be celebrating a milestone but it fell short in every way. I don't know what was worse The screaming kid or The train crossing every so often. Ambience+Romance= Not this place. The menu didn't have many choices at all. Needs more variety. I left hungry as I didn't enjoy my meal at all. I love dessert but even that was limited. The whole experience was rather unpleasant and i doubt I'll be coming back.

We had a perfect day....weatherman was good to us, the service from very friendly staff and food top quality. A wonderful way to belatedly celebrate my hubby's birthday
Josh Walmsley
Great food amazing views however the staff let the place down
Tahlee Baker
Terrible service! Donā€™t waste your time or money! After I came here with my son to enjoy a milkshake and ice cream before starting our day. I had been given an ice chocolate that had split down the side and spilled all over my white skirt with no assistance to help me, I asked if they could get me a cloth or anything to help clean up, after only giving me a napkin and refused to let me use the bathroom they sent me with my 2 year old a mile away to clean my self up. No consideration and extremely rude staff even after I spoke with the manager. Donā€™t waste your time or money here they only care about the sale

Food selection is great and you couldn't go wrong. Probably quickest turn around from order to picking up forks, but just gives you more time to enjoy Sydney's night view and Luna Park. Would definitely come here once back.

Nice location by the wharf with a fantastic view of the harbour bridge. The food was alright, nothing amazing. The goatā€™s cheese soufflĆ© was soft and fluffy - great entree. The barramundi was nice and tender but the lamb shank was pretty bland unfortunately. They definitely need more wait staff - poor waiter was basically manning the floor on his own most of the time.
Mr. D
Spectacular views in a prime location. On the night we had the calamari fritti which didnā€™t really have a sichuan taste, more like salt and pepper. Also the steak and lamb was quite average. But if you want some where with a nice view come to this place right under the harbour bridge.
Occam
Amazing value for money. Great seafood, reasonably priced in an incomparable location.

Went here for a working dinner but this will be a definite fixture whenever Iā€™m in Sydney.
Hungry Diner
My now wife and I had one of our first dates here. Itā€™s a very special place to us.

Located right before the entrance to Luna Park, it looks out to the harbour and busy ferryā€™s and city across the water.

We loved the scallops with the purƩe and it pairs really nicely to the Michael Hope Chardonnay.

The steak paired with a glass of Shiraz tops it all off every time.

We love this place.

They have great breakfast also.
Peter From Sydney
Sadly we were quite disappointed. We had the snapper, the barramundi, oysters, octopus and cauliflower as a side. the fish was overcooked and lacked juice and flavour. the octopus was bland. the oysters were great as they were natural. the cauliflower was something i had not experienced at a restaurant. boiled and seasoned with some form of chilli powder. this dish was appalling in every respect. quite a different experience to the chowder bay restaurant. we will not be returning.
FrenchieFoodie
I had a dozen of Sydney rock oysters which were delicious. The Sirloin 250g steak was just as I asked, ā€œmedium rareā€ and the quality of the meat was just insane.
This is one of my favourite diner spot in Sydney, you can have a really nice diner with a beautiful view on the harbour bridge.
Lily The Frugal Foodie
We came for breakfast on a weekday. Booking was very easy through Dimmi but probably not necessary as they would be able to accommodate us easily. Seating is outdoors but with shielding and heaters which is lovely by the water despite the cold weather.

The ripples breakfast was very generous in portion size and definitely would feed two. The hashbrowns were the highlight, crunchy and also moist. Other items in the dish were average.

If you're after something a little more unique, I'd recommend the honey ricotta toast. The fluffy ricotta was great contrast to the crunchy toast and although I was unsure about the idea of having caramelised pineapple with the dish, it was really delicious. Highly recommended.

Having my hubby birthday lunch with a view. So good and The Services also Really good. Love the Food and ambience. The location and view is perfect!
Hungrycatherine
Excellent service with a view of the harbor!

I came here for an early Motherā€™s Day lunch and was amazed at the wonderful food and service!
The standout dishes were the 250g Sirlon steak, the Seared tuna entree and the Lychee Martini!

I would recommend booking prior coming because it was busy on for Sunday Lunch.
This restaurant is a great option to invite family and friends with great photo opportunity of the bridge. It is also located right in front of Milsons Point Ferry Wharf and near Luna Park!

A restaurant in between casual and fine dinning. Beautiful location under harbour bridge where there are always huge cruise during summer time. A good place to take overseas visitors and for a special occasion. Lamb shoulder is nice and crisp outside and tender inside. Homemade meatball is not bad. Tiramusa is very nice. Kids get a coloring paper keeping them busy.
Foodaholic
An early dinner at ripples was worth the try and not at all disappointed at the end of the day. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous and that's one thing I look for an in an restaurant. No matter how good your food is if the staff didn't know how to deal with customers then your no good. Ripples staff really knows how to treat their customers.

Coming to the food, we ordered two cappuccino to start with. Strong as the way we like our coffee, so happy with it. Followed by which we took cocktail potatoes, pork belly . The potatoes was crispy on the outside and fluffy, soft in the inside. YUM !! Pork belly was pretty impressive as well. The roasted pear on the dish was a real treat for the mouth and pork was perfectly cook, the meat was good as in it had just enough fat.

Overall a good experience and would recommend it. Even if you aren't blown away with the food you can count on the amazing view.
Lucianna Guo
Great location. Very friendly staff but not so surprising food. Had oysters for entree and the whole snapper for main. I think I made the right choice of food, since my colleagues were not impressed about their barramundi~ Had gelato for desert, a bit funny taste. Will be back for lunches though.

āœ¦ Along with Aqua diningĀ , Ripples is situated right under the Sydney harbour bridge on the North side of Sydney. As you can see below, it has amazing views of the harbour on a sunny day. As with Aqua dining, it is a pain (or exorbitantly expensive) to find parking nearby however so be prepared. āœ¦ Great place for a casual lunch time catch up or a place to bring overseas friends to enjoy the views. Avoid if it is a rainy/windy day as it is quite an open setting with only some cafe blinds as cover.

Had lunch here today. Great views of the Harbour Bridge. Excellent staff and delicious food and wine in a lovely setting even with poor weather. Calamari starter, stuffed zucchini flowers, buffalo mozzarella and who can go past delicious fish and chips by the water.
Khadija Mawa Ahmad
The biggest USP of this restaurant is the stupendous view of the Sydney harbour bridge from here. It's so gorgeous and if you're lucky like I was you could catch a good glimpse the fireworks from here as well. I tried the barramundi and the fish and chips. The Food was alright but the view is what takes the cake.
Chefosaurus
Magnificent! Started with the frito misto. Then mains of whole snapper and also the slow cooked beef cheek. We enjoyed the roasted potatoes and green beans as sides. Desert has to be included. A delightful creme brƻlƩe and a the tiramisu are ideal to top off an awesome meal.

We used to frequent here whenever we took our little monsters to luna park n when we have o/s visitors. As fate would have it, said monsters went to school not 5 min fm here. Course in the prevailing 10-12 yrs, the cafe/rest scene has moved on a lot in sydney. Ripples is banking on its unique location as of our recent patronage. Food, service were inoffensive, prices have kept up with the times.. a decent stopover whether you are an acting tourist, wannabe local or you want a full-on view of what makes sydney iconic.

Delicious food and great service. I dined here alone and treated myself to the rock oysters which were plump and tasty. This was followed by a delicious tender octopus starter then the sirloin with crispy polenta and vinagery red cabbage, and finished off with a super light Mille Feuille. Yum! Awesome.
Jessica Clark
Food was good. Only downfall was the waitor continually asking us to finish up at about 7.45 when they wanted the table back at 8.30 according to their booking email. I felt that was annoying and spoiled our dinner.
Andy Daniel
Oh Man! what a nice place to enjoy a quiet lunch by the water. The service was excellent, the location stunning, the food just good, a lack of imagination and diversity on the menu, but hey, when you here for the view!
Baartzie
We celebrated our engagement here last night and were really well looked after by Roy, one of the friendly waiters, which made the night really smooth and enjoyable. The food was all fantastic, we had the pork belly, beef cheeks and stracciatella. The only dish we didn't enjoy was the octopus, where the sauce was a bit gelatinous and the gnocchi was too soft. But aside from that, we had a spectacular night and would definitely return for the service, the view, and to try the lamb shoulder! Being BYO, it's fantastic to have such great food and service and be able to bring your own special wine.

It has been a while since I visited Ripples, but when I did, it was a fantastic experience. An early dinner here was the perfect way to relax, with a different view towards Sydney harbour bridge & opera house as well as Luna Park nearby. Couldn't beat sitting al fresco with a glass of wine & watching the sunset in the good company of friends. The menu has an Italian accent & we started with crisp Sardinian bread with ricotta, prosciutto with fresh figs, grilled king prawns & arancini. All were delicious! Creamy ricotta was perfect with the crispy, lightly seasoned crisp bread. The king prawns were sweet & juicy, arancini creamy with a crispy exterior & you cannot go wrong with fresh figs & good quality prosciutto. For mains, there were steak with salsa verde & grilled spatchcock. All servings were generous, cooked well & delicious. And a must order is the side of roasted crispy potato chunks. So addictive, buttery & delicious. Dessert was a beautiful looking tiramisu layeres in a cup served with biscotti. Service was efficient & friendly. A wonderful evening of good food, good wine, company & views.

Overpriced small meals. Service was terrible, waitress threw a fork, spilt the wine & water. Calamari was tough & cold. It was recommended to us and we were disappointed. Hopefully just a one off.

"A safe bet". Not a stand out, not terrible. Pricey. Views are nice. Seating (as in the chairs and tables) wasn't fancy.

The fish soup was good but you can taste that the mussels were old. The prawns were good. We also had croquettes and grilled calamari for starters. Both a bit underwhelming, croquettes were salty. Ā The whole snapper had a lot of bones (so everyone who ordered it on my table told me).

Tea is served in a stainless steel pot with a tea bag. :( This makes me really sad as I was expecting a restaurant of this calibre to be serving loose leaf tea. The chips looked like something you'd pick up from a beach side fish and chip shop. The rosemary potatoes were nice and crispy and the rocket salad was fine.Ā

Service is pretty good which helped.
Kira Keitomaro
We had a fantastic night here at Ripples. Service was attentive and spot-on, and food was fabulous. The price is abit steep normally but if you use the Dimmi rewards, it is great value for money.
Matt Gerritsma
Great brekkie and a better view. I had the sourdough toast with bacon and hash browns. My wife had smashed avocado with salmon and poached eggs. Both looked and tasted excellent but make sure you book to get a table as they turned people away.

Beautiful view! Order the seafood, definitely. The pasta is not their specialty so it's not great.

You know, I first ate here 7 and a half years ago, and have been coming here every few months ever since with my family - it was the day before what was to be the biggest test of my very short life hahaha. My parents took me out to relax, and the food was spectacular! The seafood was so fresh, and the dishes had such amazing flavour. The fish and chips quickly became my favourite fish and chips ever, and they had a battered prawn entree that I absolutely loved! A few years on, I don't know quite what happened, as the quality and flavour of their food, if I'm brutally honest, has dropped. That really disappoints me, as Ripples is a beautiful restaurant that contains many memories, and I'm almost sad to admit I just don't like it as much anymore. Hopefully one day it'll be as good as it was again! Or maybe I'm just dreaming.
Renato
Great location but the food and service did not match the price. The oysters were small and the salad was a little bland. Nothing was bad, but nothing was really great.
Alisha Jason
One of my favourite places in Sydney !! Spectacular views of the harbour and opera house ! The beef steak with herb butter is one of the best I've had in Sydney ! My mouth is watering just thinking about it ! The grilled Baramundi was just as good ! ā¤ļø
Wonderful afternoon spent here !
Leonard
Food was actually decent for the location. Went there for a work lunch. Watch out for the dirty French male waiter who gives the bill. He sneakily puts in 10% tip. Left a bad taste to a good meal. Even saw him smirking his colleague and mumbled 10 of course. Will not be coming back.
Melissa
Great setting with great service! I would suggest coming here for dinner and telling your friends to order something other than fish n chips. Meals are a good size and overall a very nice experience.
Trencherman
Great unbeatable view.

Overcooked split prawn entree and overcooked flat head in the fish and chips made for a disappointing lunch. Service was cocky and brash.

Affogato was good, hard to spoil that really.Ā

The restaurant is small and they pack em in close together.Ā

Would not go back.
Thefoodantiblog
Nice. Or more correctly nooice. Soft, well cooked lamb, nice large serving (well $68 for the lamb for 2 people so better be big). Silverbeats meh but the potatoes were good.
The Other Jess Tuck
Brilliant afternoon in the sunshine with the family. Standouts were definitely the scallops, pork neck and that lamb shoulder looked freakin' delicious. Lovely, attentive service to boot. Kudos to the team. And to the cheese. Delicious, lovely cheese.
Kristin Hatherley
Ripples at Milsonā€™s Point is situated meters away from the Sydney Harbour Bridge and a short walk to Luna Park, Ripples provides a unique dining experience overlooking the Harbour and Sydney CBD. I was disappointed that with such a unique location, they didnā€™t have a unique menu, but their offering is still appertizing with an eggs benedict and a big breakfast.
Feastwisely
One of my favourite ways to feast in Sydney is by the water. There are so many stunning spots around Sydney Harbour that offer a great excuse for a long lazy lunch or a romantic dinner. The problem? Many are expensive (with mains around $45 and $10 for a glass of wine) and/or need to be booked weeks in advance. This is where Ripples come in. Over the last few years Iā€™ve lost count of the number of times Iā€™ve dined at one of the Ripples restaurants. Water views? Tick. Good value? Tick (mains $30-$35). Cheap wine? No need to worry ā€“ you can BYO wine. Bring on the Veuve Clicquot. One caveat ā€“ donā€™t just rock up without a booking because, for the reasons Iā€™ve mentioned, Ripples is popular ā€“ especially on weekends. You donā€™t need to book a month out (unless youā€™re a large group) but do give them a call around a week in advance. Enjoy this view at Ripples Milsons Point There are four Ripples restaurants on Sydney Harbour ā€“ Ripples Milsons Point, Ripples Chowder Bay, Ripples Sydney Wharf and
Charn Tangson
Accompanied with pumpkin puree, it was sweet and left slightly raw so that it remained soft in the inside. The colours makes the dish a lot more appetising and give it a little bit of flair which is rare in scallop dishes. The only downside is that it was served cold ā€“ I personally enjoy my scallops much more hot.
MissTea
...chose the salt and pepper squid with a cucumber and bean-shoot salad with lychee dressing, while dad grabbed the oysters. Rob ordered the fish of the day (tuna) for his main, and dad and I chose the panseared barramundi with crushed kipflers, olives and arrabbiata. Everything was delicious!
Robert_hs
Ripples, is more traditionally known as a destination for a fancier lunch then a casual breakfast...
Mademoiselle Delicieuse
It can be difficult getting together with the people that matter to you these days. Coffee dates with a friend can be easy to arrange but when more people are thrown into the mix then there are just too many scheduling factors to contend with. Add to that
Sandy NIghtingale
It's a shame that a restaurant with such an amazing view serves such mediocre food.
Ashleighvz
Terrible service.. We arrived at 11:25 for a coffee and were sent rudely away by a staff member who advised us to return at 12. We then waited in the area for the 12pm return. Upon lining up for 10 minutes again we were told that they were fully booked and there was nothing they could offer us. Do not go here. Over priced and terrible staff!
Nessie
Went for breakfast. Delicious food with an amazing view. Good friendly service :)
Diannethornton56
Very disappointing. Had dinner recently and the meal was very ordinary. The pork was tough and tasteless as was the small dollop of califlower puree. The fish dish was also tasteless and very small. The vegetables were nice but hopefully you couldn't go wrong with steamed broccoli and beans. Have been for breakfast and lunch before and was reasonably disappointed, so after one more try, I will not be going back. It isn't enough to rely on the location - they really need to improve the quality of the meals.

Consistently disappointing. Went for dinner with my wife and daughter on the weekend after much deliberation, because we live locally we decided on Ripples because of convenience. Even though we have been disappointed the last four times we have visited (three times at dinner and also an appalling breakfast experience). On our most recent visit they did not have a complete menu, the barramundi was the main reason we decided on Ripples and would have appreciated being informed by the waiter on arrival.

The waiter was as bland as the menu which has not changed in years. My steak was tough and my daughter's fish was very overcooked, she may be a child but if we're ordering off a restaurant menu paying restaurant prices I expect restaurant quality.

In summary, we have given ripples too many last chances and will never return.
Overpriced, over rated and sadly outdated.
Anna001
Very tasty. We were a big group but the service was fast and effective. The view of the bridge and harbour is just perfect!

Entrees and drinks were ordered, while water was provided immediately upon arrival. The two slices of bruschetta with lemon ricotta and cherry tomatoes ($18) was the best I have ever eaten! So flavourful without being overpowering. The 3 split prawns ($22) were well-received, as were the scallops ($22).
Our mains arrived soon after. I had the main-sized gnocchi in a gorgonzola sauce ($24), which was not very large but sat very heavily in the belly! The sauce was incredibly rich. The fregola ($29) was super delicious and flavorful. The fish and chips were nice and came in a very large serves, the ox-tail was apparently tasty (especially the risotto it was served with) and the snapper and barramundi were also popular.

All up, while quite an expensive restaurant, the food is of an excellent quality and the view is to die for!
Facebook User
Very disappointing. I took my brother and mother there last night for dinner, we where seated received no drink menu and once we placed our order we where then told they didn't have what we had chosen the barra and snappa it would have been nice to be told this on arrival... it was very hard to get the waiters attention. I would normally understand if they where busy but they weren't. being in the industry I was very disappointed and will make sure not to go back
Tats
Aweful service, too pushy, if you would like to have a coffee and be there just for15mins dont bother cause you are too 'small' customer for this place...very disappointed
Paul Mandalidis
A excellent venue ... Great service ,very good food with excellent views of the harbour ...great value for money ....highly recommend this restaurant ...

Tried to get an after work drink and snack and was turned away from an empty (except for one table) restaurant because I wasn't eating dinner. If you don't to take my money, fine...
Tarazena
Nice View- Food sucks big time!. Aw, it is so unfortunate. I love Ripples Whale Beach and go often. Then I tried Ripples Chowder bay, another hit. Then I thought, let's try Ripples Milson Point, got there, wow, what a view! The food was horrible though. Just not the same quality as the other two ripples. My husband had the gnocchi, I think I have had better frozen gnocchi it was so bad, really bad texture, not good at all. The entrees were only ok. My husband had scallops, it looked nice, but the taste was really not there and it was missing some finesse. Very disappointed. I won't go back at all, but did enjoy the view...did not enjoy the huge $132 bill after. My husband and I stopped to get a pizza and some Ben and Jerry's on the way home lol
Alex
Delicious breakfast with the best coffee we've had in Sydney so far. The service was also fantastic. Will definitely come again!
MadameB
Went for dinner. Expensive and underwhelming. Really, really average.
Chevannaise
Visited Ripples for a late lunch but was extremely disappointed with their food. $8 for a ridiculously small bowl of ordinary fries, $26 for a dozen raviolis, and $48 for a dry aged steak which was just a tough sinewy lump of meat. Great water view and kind staff, but the food was just plain bad....
Gigi
Disappointing Great locati.... Disappointing
Great location but paid $45 for a rib eye and I could have gotten better from a pub, it was chewy and when the waiter knew that I was not happy did and said nothing. The maitre dee was lovely however the waiter was completely uninterested in us. Won't be going back.
Coffee Bean Boy
Great view and... well it has a great view.

Came here for breakfast on a quiet week day morning, was seated by a bored waitress and then ignored for the next ten minutes before I left. Unsure what the food is like, maybe with some decent service and some sort of system to clear the line of people waiting to pay their bills I may have found out.
Redders
Terrible breakfast. Slow service. Menu incorrect. My bircher muesli had only one item as listed on the menu...oats. And it tasted terrible. The other meals looked very average too.
David Hanlin
Great food, great view, great coffee. Had lunch here mid week the fish was cooked great, service was quick and very friendly. I will return to this place
HG
Nice food, great how and mostly excellent service, except for the either with the New York tattoo, who was curt and rude because we moved seats to suit together and enjoy the view. Asking politely who ordered which drink shouldn't have been a problem - it was hardly a major inconvenice.
Bronwyn
Good service and a simple but varied breakfast menu makes this an obvious choice if early dining with a view is desired. Great coffee!
Clare Hickey
New Years Eve 2012. What a fantastic night Ripples at Milsons Point put on for us on New Years Eve. The Service and Food were outstanding, we did not have to ask for anything all night...a credit to the wonderful and hard working staff there. Highly Recommended 10 out of 10
Goodfood
Too disappointing to return. Iā€™ve going to Ripples for years the food was O.K. with nice view, last time my food was very disappointing salad old & limp, tasteless cold fish. Staff unprofessional, and incompetent; will not be going back. When people go out to eat, they want to have a nice experience.
Janetnjohn
Ripples for lunch. Food ordinary to poor, overpriced and staff on the whole not interested in customers. I won't go back. Each visit over the past few years has been more and more disappointing but at least the food was ok - now that's gone as well - give it a miss
Robert Bentley
Meals were competently prepared, and the service for Saturday lunch on a perfect day was attentive. Two sittings meant that one had to keep an eye on the watch, and queuing for the one toilet, #fail, were the only criticisms.
Karen
Nice view but the crab main was too deep fried :(
Louisa
Careful when paying with notes!! The staff here keep the change without being offered - have twice lost a third of the meal price from a staff member never coming back with the change. Quite rude not to let you chose if you tip/ how much you tip.

More Resto than Cafe. My wife and I were up in Sydney for a few days from Melbourne. Friends of ours who has also just visited suggested we pop-in to Ripples since we were staying in nearby McMahon's Point. We initially arrived about 11.15 Saturday morning dying for a coffee and thinking about brunch. We were very politely advised that the cafe was closed between 11-12 but they could book us in when they re-opened for lunch (a strange arrangement for a "cafe" but maybe its a Sydney thing?). Anyway, 12noon was fine so we had a walk around & returned. We were very glad we did: the service was very friendly & professional, the soft-shell crab & marlin we chose were both superb, the wine & coffees good too. Very fair prices considering the fabulous position, food and service. Looks like you need to book in advance to be sure of a table. Will definitely return when we are next in Sydney (but not between 11-12!).

Went there for valentines day. The quality & presentation of food was good. My partner got salmon, which was very good and I got the kingfish. The kingfish had good flavour but was served stone cold, which left me quite disappointed considering how much I paid!

A Million Dollar View. Normally a harbour view like this you would normally have a menu priced to high heaven, but Ripples is reasonably priced, all things considered, and the food is generously portioned and cooked as good as anything else on the harbour.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend for when you want a lovely evening without the horrendous price tag.

Great Spot. We have been to Ripples a few times now. The service is attentive, the staff are friendly and the food is tasty and well presented. Although a heavy focus on seafood, there are some choices if you are not that way inclined. I had a the tuna steak special on this most recent visit, which was a nice treat. The location and view needs little embellishment and a wander to Luna Park aferwards is a nice way to finish. It can get noisy in the dining area especially with the trains going by on the bridge and the 2 hour sitting times can get in the way of settling in, but they are minor to good food, location and it being byo.

Nice view. Enjoyed a coffee here. Lovely view and breeze.

Ripples north sydney. One of our all time favourite restaurants. Parking's not cheap but the view, service, and menu make up for it. Simple beautifully done fish and chips and modern Aus/Asian fare with great flavour combinations.
Casual and quality.

Our family's go-to restaurant for reliably good food and great service. This 'cafe' serves great seafood, desserts and their hot chips are a must. Samson the waiter is our favourite, making everyone feel welcome with his jokes and food guidance. The view is great, directly under the bridge, and next door to Luna Park, Bradfield Park and Nth Sydney Pool. Overall a favorite restaurant in Sydney, relaxed yet impeccable service and food

To Die For Views. Every table has a magnificent harbour view with the Harbour Bridge almost directly overhead you can look over a 180+ degree view stretching from the Eastern Suburbs to the Opera House, the City, the wharves, thru to Balmain foreshore, Goat Island & back to Lavender bay & Luna Park. The food is uniformly good with (we think) their seafood dishes far better than their more meaty dishes - their beer battered fish & chips are a perennial favourite. They are BYO & service is usually always friendly & attentive. Word of warning - you can book for weekday lunch & dinner, but weekend breakfasts & lunches are a 1st come, 1st served basis & they fill up quickly.
