Review New Panda Chinese Restaurant - Mindarie

What an incredible journey that our tastebuds went on 😯 we ordered a special fried rice (often we are left asking and saying that there wasn't anything special about that, however that was sooo far from the case here) plenty special about this one, jam packed with chicken, pork, prawn and flavour. Also ordered Sizzling Garlic Beef, this was very tasty as well, however the highlight and standout was the Deep fried Honey King Prawns, with an abundance of prawns and flavour this is an absolute must, such a delicate crispy batter covered in honey, this is what you will be craving for in the middle of the night with the leftovers you will be bringing home as the servings are massive 😋 we are looking forward to the next visit with plenty on offer in an extensive menu

Only had takeaway so can't really talk about atmosphere. The Curries are great and the service too. Highly recommend 👌

My co workers and I always order curry chicken or beef and black bean for lunch! Every time it is always so fresh and delicious!! thanks ily xx

Friendly staff, delicious food, I highly recommend the crispy skin chicken with vinegar chilli sauce and vegetable fried rice! We will definitely be back...and bring guests next time! Oh...byo alcohol

Service was good - staff we friendly. There are obviously people that enjoy their “take” on Chinese food as they as still open but I have had better meals from the food halls. As for the individuals claiming better than Billy Lees?? I want whatever it is you’re smoking/drinking/being paid because that is utter crap. I had the worst schezuan beef I’ve ever tasted.. whatever it was did not taste nice in the slightest. Then the sweet and sour pork... there was so much batter - it was a joke. The sauce was so over bearing - smelling the sweet and sour sauce took my breath away and made me gag and start coughing. I even tried the old “Chinese is better o the 2nd day” line of thinking and whoa.... not even a little. Like I said, I’m glad for this restaurant that there are people that enjoy it but will certainly not be going back. Oh yeah, back to the schezuan - how many onions do you need in a dish? And before you reply like you did to invalidate the other reviewer about how onion gives flavour, yes you are correct however there was way too much onion and it still tasted terrible.<br/>So... if you like a lot of onion and a lot of vinegar this is the place for you <br/>.

The service is not very good,for a restaurant you need more friendly people serving ,the lady who served me last time look like the owner,she got the wrong thing and when i told her it was the wrong thing she was so rude, i waited forever for my dish and once again she was not friends , she didn't apologies or anything...the food was average...

Some of the best suburban Chinese food in Perth as fas I am concerned. The crispy skin chicken with vinegar sauce is actually better than Billy Lee's in Northbridge. The Singapore Noodles are also pretty awesome. I know how to cook a lot of these sorts of dishes myself (thanks to Khoan Vong/Wok of Fury) so I don't get Chinese take away all that often anymore but I would definitely get New Panda if I was going to pick some up. I have dined in a few times too and the service is very good. Recommended.

This is the first time I had food that tasted worse the more you eat. The chow meins taste like everything is just boiled in one big pot with veggie stock and the fried rice is so dry I actually chocked on it. Everything is flavourless. I will NOT be returning. My husband loves any and all chinese food but his actual words were "tell your friends "if you feel like going there, just don't"" .... VERY disappointed!

Have ordered for takeaway on many occasions, have always thoroughly enjoyed our meals, can certainly tell they are mostly prepared fresh, wontons could do with a little bit more meat to them, and maybe a loyalty card for excessive ordering ... would certainly encourage more orders from us.. menulog being another strong competitor as they offer every 11th meal for free... food for thought... thanks New Panda, we will still be calling for our takeaway tonight. :)

Absolutely beautiful food. Adam Faulkner and I love the special fired rice and the meals are absolutely gorgeous!!! Would definitely recommend to everyone!!

They really have good Chinese foods fresh tasty fantastic well done! plus the owner is sincere and the waitress is helpful. I had Chili Pork tonight and I am confident of my taste.

Visited the new panda this evening. Greeted by a most efficient waitress. Food was excellent as was the service. Restaurant was extremely clean. Ignore the other negative reviews. Those people could<br/>Not be more wrong. If in the area - solid local Chinese .

I really like this place. We often stop off and get takeaway and have dined in there once or twice also. Good food, good service, food pricing and consistent taste and quality. We like it a lot.

Decided to try New Panda as a friend kept telling us how good it was. So we decided on take away of Satay Beef,Special Fried Rice & Honey Chicken $40 for 2 of us. The food was tasty and I really liked the Special Fried Rice,it was fresh and not stale at all. Honey Chicken was hot and fresh nice and crispy. Satay Beef was ok I have had better,needed more Peanut I think. Anyway was a good meal we will be back to try more Panda Dishes 😊<br/>Thank you

Average Chinese restaurant. Nothing super positive or negative to say about this place. Have never dined inside restaurant, but have ordered take away 3 times and most probably will return again.

Definitely the best Chinese food in the whole area. Dining in or take away the food is great. Table service a little slow and not so attentive. Great food.

Generic. won't be back.. Generic "Western Asian" food. Lacking flavour. Sauces full of sugar. Best thing was the pawn crackers. 50% of the dishes were onion. <br/>Waste of money. Much better food for same price at other local restaurants like Saigon Palace.

Top Chinese Food North of the River!!. Hi,<br/><br/>I would like to just say that the Chinese food here is the top in Perth. Delicious !!!!. Must try their Satay....Yummy....Best meal in town!!!<br/><br/>Honey chicken Very big Portion, and all meals comes with plenty of fresh vegetables.......Not just onions like what other people say !!!!!

First and last. no more!!!. First time there. Ordered two dishes with kid for dinner. Service was so poor. First before we sat down, not asking any questions, they took away the wine glasses. Fine. Then dumped the napkin on the table. Then, first dish was hot plate szechuan beef. They put it at the edge of the table near to my kid which is only 4???? What did they wanna do? So we have to carefully move it in. Then they repeat again with second dish. Very very poor service. First and last. not worth the money and the service after a long week

Such a fantastic meal, service is pretty good, if you don't want a lot of onion just ask and they will happily change it for you, of course if you want to change anything else they will also do so.

Pretty crap really, paid $80 for 5 dishes that weren't really much more than onion and some poorly put together spicy sauce, will surely have a sore stomach tonight!!! Don't waste your time or money on this mob.

Went for takeaway last night . Ordered Mongolian Beef and fried rice, the beef came in an orange style sauce and was loaded with onions , it should be any oyster style sauce , I only went because of the reviews here , don't bother it was very poor , rice ok but how hard is that.

New panda is a rock solid suburban chinese restaurant. Have been going here for 10 years+ and i dont remember a time that we left dissapointed. The restaurant itself is VERY basic, though neat and tidy. They seem to go through quite a few young waitresses (dont go expecting silver service) but the front of house is getting better.

Best in the West. There are over 13 chinese retaurants in the Bunbury/Busselton area and not one I repeat not one measures up to the quality/quantity of the New panda

Better as a take away- One of the young waitresses has poor customer service; which I find can ruin a dining experience, but the good is great. Absolutely love the hot and sour soup and have also tried the Szechuan beef, satay beef and honey chicken. All were surprisingly very good and have large portion sizes. Will be back!

New Panda has been a family favourate for many years. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. Staff are friendly, service quick and food enjoyable.

I have been a customer at new panda for many years however due to their decline in food quality I will no longer eat there. I recently ordered a satay chicken that was almost entirely onions with very little chicken and no vegetables (aside from the onion). I have found this to be the case across dishes. Everything is bulked out with onion and the flavor of the dishes have declined markedly (as at 2013).

: (. As a local to mindarie I had hoped that this Chinese restaurant would be a local gem. Much to my disappointment the food quality is below average and the service of the young waitresses is less than ideal. While they were some what helpful they were more interested in their mobiles than the customers. Ok restaurant, ok service.

This had been out restaurant of choice for every family members birthday for the last 10 years. Recently the son of the owner had taken over. His people skills are terrible. Also please check your bill!! The son will add a few dollars onto every bill. Confirmed by staff. Give this restaurant a miss!!!

Have been here a number of times for take away. Boneless lemon chicken is brilliant. Huge serves (3 breasts) and is always cooked perfectly.

Average Chinese food. Waited an hour to get cold, average food. Lived in China for 5 years so know what real Chinese food is and this is average. Agree with the previous reviewer - get some front staff who are interested, they are the face of your business.

Sickening !!!!!!! The deep fried duck was in edible the batter was so thick and tasted like old oil all food went straight into the bin thumbs down panda

The food is great but the service absolutely terrible the guy who is out the front is rude and ignorant and they only employ young girls and he is very rude to them

Best Chinese in the Area. My family and I eat here on a regular basis. The portions are large and the food is good quality. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Try the boneless lemon chicken or the chicken satay. The BBQ chicken comes on a very hot iron dish with a flaming foil cover - very impressive! The prices are reasonable although they have increased over the past year...same as everything else in Perth I guess!

Quite Nice!. I generally can't stand chinese take away. This is the first Chinese take-away ive ever had that didn't make me feel sick as a dog. So although I still didn't particularly love it, it was fantastic compared to all others! My friend who<br/>Likes Chinese takeaway says it's great so there ya go. Fried rice is good as is the lemon chicken

New panda best chinese ever. New panda mindarie is the best chinese i have ever eaten..:) its priced well and always fresh and tasty and i will never go anywhere else <br/>the staff are friendly and always prompt in serving you
