We love the food at din tai fung. Only issue I have is that even though I’m not finished the dish they try to take it away.
Some people leave food but even vegetables I eat it until there’s nothing left.
Staff keep coming back to take away. I’m not sure if they are over staffed and don’t have anything else to do.
My favourite restaurant at Miranda. Service can be slow and they forget almost everything you ask for the table but the food comes within 15 minutes and is so so delicious and fresh. Great meals.
Love their dumpling and chilli noodles. Besides that, we stay clear off. Exorbitant prices for asian food. This is marketed to the western crowd.
Din tai fung in Miranda is better, it’s less crowded and food is the same quality as the city store.
The drunken chicken is really yummy. The dumplings are still soupy and satisfying. The beef noodle soup tasted a little like msg but the noodles were well-cooked.
Had a good experience overall.

Been a while since I've been to Din Tai Fung, and this was my first time in Miranda. Had the pork xiao long bao, which was really good as usual. Also tried the crab meat and roe xiao long bao, which I couldn't say I really enjoyed, it smelt like crab that's not at their most fresh. The potstickers were excellent, and I loved the shrimp fried rice, was tasty and had 'wok hei'. The pork and shrimp shao mai were nice, but nothing spectacular. Also tried the Chinese New Year sweet dog buns. Loved the flavour (chocolate!), however, the consistency of the filling was a bit strange, nothing like the smooth consistency usually found in sweet buns. Overall, it was a good meal, left our stomachs full but our wallet lighter.
Before I came here for lunch I wasn't sure about the quality of the place. Usually the original flagship store is always good and the subsequent franchise lack a bit is something. But this place is just as good as the original in the city and the lines are not as long.
For lunch we had pork and vegetable wontons in spicy sauce, beef and truffle fried rice, water spinach in garlic and chili fried chicken. Everything was just like Din Tai Fung is known for. The food has flavour in a delicate way. So delicious.
The staff at DIn Tai Fung Miranda are very friendly
and always willing to help with the menu.
The restaurant it's self is bright and very welcoming.
Best Dumpling!
Din Tai Fung are always consistent across all of their restaurants and Din Tai Fung Miranda is no exception.
Din Tai Fung have amazing dumplings and even better pork buns; and my favourite part is the consistency. ALWAYS GOOD. Service can be strange though...
Just like any of the other outlets. Good service and great dumplings. Always enjoy coming back to a y of their locations. Pleasant surprise we found this so far out from the CBD.
LOVED the food here. Service was A1, food was delicious and interesting. Wasn't a fan of the Dumpling Gems at all, so would honestly steer away from these if you actually like asian food & great dumplings. Everything else has always been lovely.
As my hubby likes to say, this place is always "solid". They are consistent, efficient and never disappoints. You (usually) know exactly what you are getting each time, whether you are dining in Sydney, Singapore or Hong Kong. However it seems like they changed my favourite taro ice cream! It's not the same colour, consistency or taste. Please bring back the original taro!!
Had lunch here- Food and service were good but I'd love to see more substantial options available without meat.
Vegetable dumplings were tasty with quality filling. Water spinach with garlic was delicious as there was a generous amount of garlic. The spicy noodles with vegetable wontons were interesting- noodle consistency was great (not too soft or rubbery) and the amount of heat was appropriate, not over the top.
Dessert- the golden lava mochis were okay but a little too yolky for my liking. I love a good egg custard but this was basically just sweet warm yolk.. Red bean remains the champion mochi filling!
The golden sesame bread with taro- my favourite thing ever. I could eat them all day, every day.
The service was really good. Professional, polite, attentive. Impressed with the service.
On a side note, my legs got massacred by mosquitoes at our outside table and it was only about 3pm. Maybe they need citronella or something.
Located inside Westfield Miranda, the main reason for visiting Din Tai Fung was their special offering for the month of November of the Giant Xiao Long Bao. It looked fascinating getting a soup dumpling the size of a steamer basket.
The service was fairly attentive and polite. We were seated quickly at a table and as per usual, you select the items you want off the paper and hand it back to them. I liked the interior of this restaurant.
We chose a selection of dishes that included Giant Xiao Long Bao, Chicken Dumpling, Egg Fried Rice With Pork Chop, and Crumbed Chicken Fillet With Noodles (Soup). The dishes were tasty. The xiao long bao was massive but it was mostly soup with a filling of mushrooms, a small prawn ball, and a small pork meatball. You get a straw to suck out the soup from the dumpling!
With Din Tai Fung opening so many stores across the Sydney area I was afraid that with the rate of its expansion that the quality of the food would drop. This is not the case however with Din Tai Fung Miranda as it has established itself as one of the restaurants to dine in at Miranda and that they are here to stay. From their signature Xiao Long Bao to their fried rice I would have to say that they execute their menu with quality and precision. For those who are debating over the price of Din Tai Fung, I can say with confidence that it is well worth it to try at least one. The vast variety dumplings that they offer all provide different experiences for the pallet that any foodie must try. I recommend the prawn fried rice which is quite the delight where many other restaurants present quite an oily and heavy fried rice but Din Tai Fung have managed to achieve a quite light and fluffy fried rice which I commend. Service is spot on from the moment you ask for a table and when you leave. The staff are professional in the manner in how they wait the tables as well as to able to fulfill small customer requests in a timely fashion even during busy dinner services. There is not much to complain about Din Tai Fung Miranda but I might mention that the Taiwanese fried chicken and pork fillets are a tad dry but other than that Din Tai Fung Miranda is one place definitely worth your time and money.

Having been to the CBD Din Tai Fung, I expected a lot from Miranda, and they did deliver. We were seated quickly and were served promptly. There are a variety of options and they are really tasty and well made (some could do with more filling though). Quite good value for money, and filling too! A great lunch!
The food was quite good. The ambiance was nice but the service was a little too perfunctory. We will come back. I had noodles with mince. The serve could have been a little bigger. The soupy dumplings were very nice though.

Here they serve one of my favourite Xiao Long Bao in Sydney and is a must. The dumplings are all delicious but another favourite is their slicy wontons. Silky skin, generous filling & a good kick from the sauce. The spicy or ja jiang noodles are both so slurpable and delicious and I always go for the dry rather then soup versions. Mango pudding and fried taro buns are a light, sweet ending. There is such an array of delicious food to share so bring your friends, family and big appetites!
always very busy! great food and lovely service, the staff look great. Maybe add more variety to the menu?Otherwise it is always a pleasure!
Amazing food! Also good service and a very positive and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are all attentive, professional and well dressed. The food was creative, tasty and aesthetically pleasing. Prices are slightly higher than usual however the taste and experience was all worth it. Only negative feedback is the artificially flavored fruit drinks.
Love the Miranda Din Tai Fung as there's always seats available it's not packed out like the world square one which you have to wait more than half an hour most of the time.
Service is friendly and efficient, food comes out real quick! Favourite things on the menu would have to be: Xiao Long Bao, Thousand Year Egg and Pork Floss, Kung Pao Chicken, Cha Jiang Mian and their Won tons 😋
Quite spacious and the interior is nice and clean!
The food that comes out of this place is amazing. The pork dumplings (ones with the soup inside) are seriously the best of the best. The service here is great and quick. Gets very busy around the peak times of lunch and dinner so expect to wait up to half an hour or more for a table, definently worth the wait.
I realise that Din Tai Fung is turning in a chain all over Sydney, so this will hardly set the world on fire, but at the end of the day they still make some mean dumplings. Their latest incarnation is in Miranda Westfield, but as the shopping center is newly renovated, it is part of a new fancy restaurant area that is centered around a pretty outdoor area and also has a Gelato Messina for all your dessert needs. I went here with my Sister’s family as she had never eaten at any Din Tai Fung before and that was something we needed to change!
Had a really great time here. The service is impeccable, they definitely pay attention to detail and make it a very pleasant experience. The food is also really good, they can do no dumplings wrong.
Dumplings made in dumpling heaven...😍 staff were ok although the food was just warm and not hot by the time it got to our table...
I love the little instructions how to eat dumplings the right way thats on the table.
They didn't have alcohol when we got there but could do BYO at that time.
Overall experience:4.5/5
Staff: 3.5/5- i wish they told us what to do at first i.e. How to order as it is different from other places
Food: 5/5-prawn/pork xiao long bao 👌🏼chicken 👍🏼

We are massive Din Tai Fung fans. We ate at all 3 branches in Hong Kong and normally eat at the works square branch. We found ourselves in Miranda and tried this branch.
All branches (here and overseas) have the same amazing food. We seriously can not get enough of those delicate dumplings and those amazing pork buns.
The fried rice dishes are amazing and the chicken cutlet is to die for.
The only complaint is that the dumplings weren't piping hot like they are in city or overseas. These were just warm.
For those who can't be bothered going to the city branch. Im a fan of din tai fung, notably for their soup dumplings which are some of the best I've tried. Location wise is quit good, service was also quite good especially by chinese standards. So the food is a bit pricey for this type of asian fare, especially when i know how much i can get dumplings for in ashfield. But this place is a bit more refined, has a nicer atmosphere by far, we tried their fried pork which however was disappointing, too oily, and their wonton with chilli oil was good but nothing to write home about. theres a lot on the menu to sample, you'll find that dishes here will probably be a hit and miss, and its just a matter of finding the goodies.

Everyone’s favourite Taiwanese dumpling place Din Tai Fung (鼎泰豐) opened yet another branch in Sydney. We previously visited one in Hong Kong, and later at Central Park after discovering for the first time that the franchise existed in Australia (yeah, we know). We’d been talking about trying this new Westfield Miranda branch, and tonight was finally the night. It’s dumpling time!
