Have come here regularly more than most in this area ... Reason is the friendly service and fresh dishes .
A great Vietnamese place with quick, attentive service. We wanted a lighter lunch and chose to share mixed seafood and steamed rice with prawn rice paper rolls for a lighter lunch. They also do shakes and my partner enjoyed his pandan shake. I have tried the banh xeo and pho ga before which are also delicious.
This is one of my other favourite places to go to when I am in the mood for some delicious Vietnamese food. The place has been here for years and is always really busy but the service is quick and efficient. It’s not a flash looking place, but the food is amazing. Serving sizes here are generous and dishes are full of flavour. The banh xeo is lovely and crispy filled with tasty pork and prawns and veggies. Not many places that offer dish this can do it well but this place does! The rice vermicelli with spring roll and grilled pork is flavoursome and well balanced. My partner was pretty satisfied with his pho. I tried a bit and the broth was really light, well seasoned and fragrant. This place is great value for money if you’re after some quick tasty food to satisfy your Vietnamese cravings. Definitely coming back for more and highly recommended.
Nice reasonably priced food and good atmosphere. Was quite busy and the service was friendly and efficient. I heard their bubble tea is amazing, but I didn't get to try this time.
It's not a flash place, but the Bun bo hue was spicy & amazingly good 😊 price is cheap & a really relaxed & friendly place to dine for lunch. Big menu, so I will definantly be going back again.
Good food! Had the stewed beef with rice, pork & prawn rolls and fried spring rolls. Just like a typical Vietnamese restaurant, there's endless choices to choose from the menu. Another positive is this place has bubble tea.
Visited at lunch time and had raw beef pho. Very tasty and fresh. The broth had rich flavour and didn't need much added to it. Great price $10.50!
Cheap fast and tasty food! Ordered the chicken pho but the noodles seemed slightly over cooked. Bun bo hue was very good. Enjoyed the banh xeo as well!
The noodle here is yummy but it is a little bit oily. I have been here for a few times and definitely will come back. My hubby loves the braised duck noodle here
Stopped in for weekday lunch, after a recommendation. The dishes were really cheap- duck and bamboo broth for $13.50. Unfortunately the dish didn't match up to some other Vietnamese I've had. I may have just chosen the wrong dish though. I may go back, but would go for something else next time.
Been coming here for years. This place never ever disappoints. From the price to the freshness of the food, to the service; it's a winner handsdown.
If only all Vietnamese restaurants were this good value for money. I love their no-nonsense approach to service and food, it results in a meal that you KNOW is going to be good every time :)

One of my favourite Vietnamese places in Perth and this is coming from a person with a Vietnamese background! Love the Hu tieu dry combination noodles here. It's the best one I have had. Fast and efficient service with free tea. Thumbs up!
This is my favourite Vietnamese place. It has very very nice food inside. Ice cendol is amazing. Nice staff. If you don't like peanuts you have to say no peanuts otherwise it wilk come with lots of peanuts.
Baby munchkin,

This right here is my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the suburbs and top 3 for Perth. We eat here a lot as the food is great, the price is too and it's close by. The raw beef pho here is the best I have had in Perth. The pancake is amazing as well.
This is a clean, plainly decorated, non flashy restaurant. When we went it wasn't particularly busy and the service was efficient without being unfriendly. This restaurant is very much about function.
When we arrived, we were immediately greeted with a thermos flask of jasmine tea and shown to a table. At the table sit all of the cutlery that you'll need together with a couple of bottles of chill and hoi sin sauce.
The food comes out fairly quickly. The rare beef pho is nice, subtle star anise and ginger flavours in a beef broth and it doesn't leave you feeling thirsty after eating it like some phos do. The stuffed chicken wings weren't the tastiest, weren't the worst. But the grilled pork with broken rice was seasoned really well and exceptionally tasty.
A and I love Vietnamese, but it had been a while since we’d branched out from our usual haunts and tried somewhere different. We decided to look at Zomato to see what had been voted the best Vietnamese in Perth and ended up finding a few popular eateries within the Mirrabooka area for banh mi and pho. Hu Tieu Thanh Liem had an endless stream of positive reviews so we decided to immediately visit to try it for ourselves.
Had lunch with a colleague here on Friday. Hu Tieu Thanh Liem is a great family place, simple, clean and easy. The food was amazing, and I will be back soon.
Absolutely delicious noodles and bbq pork, was surprised by the food because the decor isn't great, but don't judge a book by its cover! Can recommend the dry egg noodles with crispy chicken, so delicious.
I drove all the way to Hu Yieu Thanh Liem the other night with some girlfriends to try their pho after reading the review in the Scoop Perth Guide magazine. They rated it Perths Best Pho..... And well, we all agreed!!! The soup was rich and delicious while the beef was tender. Servings were huge! Was just want we needed on a cold winters evening! Would love to try some more of their dishes but I don't know how I will pass on the pho now
First Vietnamese restaurant that I've tried north of the river. Good food two thumbs up. Tried fried chicken with dry noodles. It was awesome.
I have been to Hu Tie so many times over the years, I was surprised that I hadn't already written a review.
This place is in my top three Vietnamese restaurant and offer good authentic Vietnamese food with generous serves. The chicken wings are one of the best
Yeah!, They now take EFTPOS with a minimum spend of $20.00 and nominal bank fees apply.
In place of personal guides (no longer supported by zomato :( -
My favourites Vietnamese restaurants are -
#1 Pho Que Huong,
#2 Hu Tieu Thanh Liem and
#3 Pho Huynh
Should I give a rate 5 review? I nearly does but I live south of the river and this is my 4th time drive 45mins to there.
I had broken rice, the pork is grilled with such a nice caramelized sugar cane and lemongrass flavour. Mum had a duck with dry noodle but the sweet plum sauce is quite sweet so have to wash it away with her complimentary soup side. Still overall I think is quite nice. Oh well I had a few different dish before (raw beef noodle soup, chicken glass noodle soup, rice paper roll, viet pan cake) and their serve is huge and cheap. Quite a lot of Viet having lunch there especiallly weekend considering Mirrabooka and Girrawheen have quite good viet rest choice
Came here once years ago. Decided to try it again. This place is large and spacious. They don't serve my usual benchmark dish of the Phnom Penh rice noodle, but that's ok. I had the spring roll vermicelli and it was pretty good too.
One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants for many reasons. 1 it's cheap 2. The great taste of the food and 3. Avocado milkshake (sounds weird, but you must try it)
Be sure to try Pho dac biet , the Broken rice with special meat and the Vietnamese pancakes
Would recommend to anyone

Yummy Vietnamese food in casual dining setting. Would recommend for anyone looking for good food at a reasonable price.
Great place for Vietnamese fare. This restaurant is value for money. It's clean and you can get a seat every time you visit.
Best pho in Perth. Best pho so far in Perth. Quick service, good sized portions and they have chilli oil! Worth the drive!
Best Vietnamese in Perth. I have lived in Perth for two years now and had been searching for a Vietnamese Restaurant that was as good as the ones I used to frequent in Footscray, Victoria. I had just about given up until I accidently stumbled across this place by chance when the Bahn Mi store around the corner was closed. The food here is just as good or perhaps even better than what I used to find in Victoria and the prices are just as low. Best sugarcane prawn in Perth and the only place to serve it how I like it with the netted rice square, lettuce cups and pickled veg.
I cannot wait to order from here again.
Top notch. You dont come here for ambience (very casual setting), but if all you're after is good vietnamese food at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. it's a very spacious restaurant so you're not cramped up like most other viet places in perth. their fish sauce is delicious, strongly flavoured and they give you heaps, and even so if you ask for more they will happily oblige with another generous serving. banh xeo is really popular here, they do it well, just wish they'd put a bit more mung bean in but otherwise delicious! Pho here is also a hit
Great Viet Food. The Restaurant itself is nice and big (unlike a lot of other Vietnamese restaurants), the food is well presented, the dipping sauces are probably the best I’ve had, the tea is excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food is good value for money.
Recommend and will definitely return.
My new local favourite. Though born and raised just around the corner from this restaurant, somehow I'd never ventured inside its doors. And it is certainly something I deeply regret.
I visited Hu Tieu Thanh Liem for the first time with two friends who insisted that I try it out, and the experience was a pleasant surprise. The diners were a mix of locals from different backgrounds, including Vietnamese expats, and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their dishes in a casual setting.
We ordered the rice flour rolls with prawn and sugar cane, which were delicious and refreshing. I also had the beef stew with egg noodles, which was absolutely delightful. The hearty stew was very rich and very fragrant- perfect for a cold winter's evening. Our dishes were served with bean sprouts, fresh chilli and mint on the side, and the portions were so generous we could not finish. And for just $10.00 how could one complain?
The service was also good and all of the staff members were very friendly. The restaurant does close at 8:00pm though, so make sure you get in there nice and early!
Fantastic little establishment and I can't wait to return!
Love it! All five of our orders are PERFECT! Combination Beef Pho (the best tasting broth), Broken Rice with Pork Chop (grilled with perfection), Broken Rice with Crispy Chicken (it is yummy and really crispy), Rice Noodle with Sugar-Cane prawn is delightful; and surprisingly even the Taro Bubble Tea is great to keep the kids entertained . Next on the menu we are going to order is that massive Banh Xeo (omellette). This restaurant is a real gem at North ... We are hooked and will come back for some more ...
This is my favourite Vietnamese, I've eaten there many times and it's never disappointed me. Great reasonably priced foods with big servings, good variety, and their drinks are terrific too.
Lovely banh xeo!!. I've been here so many times and have been pleased with the food. Yesterday I tried their Vietnamese pancake (banh xeo) and boy was I in love!! The batter was crispy and flavoursome, there was a good amount of prawns and pork in there and what impressed me the most was the amount of herbs and vegetables they gave me!! I was so so full by the end of it and my craving for banh xeo was definitely answered. For $12, I would not hesitate to come here every weekend for banh xeo :D
'Lunch' have been here for a quick lunch, service was fast and efficient, food tasty and reasonably priced! Place could do with a bit of TLC!
Tasty. Always delicious broken rice and other dishes yummy, always as good as my mother's cooking. Reasonably priced too, its a shame they close so early in the evenings. The availability of roast pork and other meats is inconsistent but always good when you can get your hands on it. They appear to cook from scratch and not microwave pre-prepared dishes as do the Northbridge Restaurants do. You have to wait a bit, but its totally worth it.
Best pho I've ever had- even better than any of the renditions I had in Vietnam! Yum.
Great food, value for money and big serving of broken rice with pork chop. Will definitely come back again!
Great food with the cheapest price u can get in Perth. The serving is impressive and the waitress are very friendly although it was very busy on a Sunday night. Lots of Vietnamese people dine there so it must be good!
A little gem hidden deep in the multicultural hub of Stirling...you could be forgiven for thinking your dining in downtown Saigon, very authentic! Ordered banh xeo (pancake) and pho dac biet (combination beef noodle soup) highly recommended and will definately be going back to sample the rest of the menu!

After 15 years if living walking distances to this gem. I finally decide to give I a go. Bought take away tonight although not keen on Takeaway when trying something for the first time. I was worried it would not taste the same considering all the times I get disappointed when buying Takeaway. We bought the e fresh spring oils, stir fried ice with Pekingeses chicken, stir fried chicken with veg and dry noodles with roast duck. Boy was the food phenomenal. Authentic fresh flavors and in deed has you wanting more. I can't believe it looks me this long to try this place. Highly recommended, well done!!
Cheap, cheerful and tasty. This is the place I go to when I want to avoid the crowds in Northbridge but really need a good pho! Keep meaning to try something other than the spicy beef noodle soup but never seem to be able to get past it. Cheap and really tasty. Mr FatCat loves their seafood noodle soup and I must admit it's a very flavoursome stock base. And if you love TVs constantly playing kitsch musical variety shows then this is the place for you!!
Tasty, authentic Vietnamese .... You can't get much more authentic than their Bun Bo Hue, which is a very spicy beef and pork noodle soup, far too hot for my taste buds, but suits my wife's. It comes with these dark crimson-coloured cubes of coagulated pig's blood - perfectly safe to eat - I believe its called 'blood tofu' in chinese cooking and is a little bit similar to European black pudding. For the less adventurous, their five-spice stewed beef egg noodle dish (Mi Bo Kho) is great tasting - the beef chunks have quite a bit of fat left on, but that's just how the dish is usually served.
Cheap authentic Viet done well. I love coming here with the family whenever we feel for home styled food without the fuss of cooking. They do a fabulous com tam dac biet (broken rice with pork chop and egg) and my family loves their chao tom (grilled prawn on sugar cane). The servings are huge and very reasonably priced, you would only be paying approx $10 for a dish for one.
Their name suggests they specialise in Hu Tieu (rice noodle soup), so I look forward to seeing how it fares to mum's home cooking!
One of our go to Vietnamese food. We have tried variety of their noodle soups, salads and broken rice. They are all delicious. Service is friendly and quick.
Located inside Marangaroo village.
This place definitely have one of the best pho around perth.
The portions are generous.
Quick service.
Sauces are good.
The salad was ok.
Their rest room need lots of improvement.
Interior just ok, its specious but no special touched... Feel like a Foodcourt with only 1 vendor.
Plenty of parking around this restaurant.
This place is great family run business. Great location. Very nice and friendly staff. The only thing that is not good is the overall look of the restaurant from the inside. I hope they do some renovation. Otherwise great food. Portions are nice. Cleanliness can also be improved.

Delicious and cheap! The Pho is by far the best dish here but we did try a number of other delicious things. We've been a few times. Once I got takeaway pho and it was so big we had to eat it out of giant salad bowls 🤣
There were quite a lot of very traditional elements to many dishes though so be careful when ordering if you're not adventurous....pork with big bones in it, strong tasting meat, etc. The ladies are pretty good at pointing out anything like this though that might not be stated on the menu.
This place is a hidden gem. Its a shame that they are not very busy. Food is always delicious and the bubble tea was good as well.
The combination beef ho fun soup is the star. It is not only the tasty soup. It's also the great beef meat too. Once I try it, u will definitely return for lunch all the time.
It's very honest soup. We need some more great food in Perth.
Ps I always ask for the enlarged ho fun soup with the extra meat. It is really worth to pay $15 for it.
This restaurant offers hot Vietnamese food, if you want something substantial and not just nibbles. There are a lot of exotic cold drinks like durian milkshake, which are nice for the adventurous palate. Tasty meat dishes are on the menu and the service is good.
