Great hotel. Amazing atmosphere, with a lovely beer garden, which is perfect on a Summers day. The staff all lovely. Delish food, try the chorizo & halumi sliders. Will deffinately be back 😉

We met a friend there who had booked in restaurant out the back (Atrium). Food & service excellent, included a photo of my main & G&T. Lots of drink choices from the bar. Dessert/cake delicious too! 😉👍

Great venue. Food was good. Especially the lamb dish. Could be a little better for the price but really quite acceptable.

Good meal and well looked after by the staff. Very quiet due to covid restrictions but i enjoyed a pleasant lunch with friends

Fantastic food. Our steaks were like cutting through butter. The kangaroo steak was the same and was told it was delish by our dinner guest. Squid was tender and tasty. Service was spot on. Rally nice venue with great garden dining. Very social

Have come here for a long time now, the venue itself is beautiful, definitely recommend sitting outside. The food is always good and all the staff are so lovely and look like they genuinely enjoy their job which makes the whole experience even better. If you haven’t been here before, I’d recommend it, but book because everyone who does come here keeps coming back and it gets quite busy.

Very poor customer service… I went with my family for my brother in laws bday. We waited over an hour and a half for our meals.. when the food finally come out they had gotten 3 of the meals completely wrong. I’ve never been so appalled.. for the prices we paid for our meals and the service we received it was not worth it at all. I also ordered a cocktail i had been waiting over 20 minutes for it.. so I decided to go up and find out what was going on and they had just completely forgotten about my order… no real apology. this is one of the worst places I’ve ever experienced I’m happy to say I will never be coming here again.

Great food and an excellent range of beers, wines and cocktails. The restaurant is supported by a very friendly and welcoming team who all provide great customer service. Thank you The Edinburgh Hotel!

Being vegetarian I ordered the one vegetarian main on the menu. Spaghetti with lentils and olives. Sounded like a confused dish on paper but trusted that the chef would know how to make a tasty vegetarian meal. I was too trusting. Tasted as bad and bland as it sounded. Pretty shocked really that a pub with a decent reputation would have a chef who can’t make a good veggie dish in our current diet conscious climate. At least the chips were good.

I have been coming to the Ed for years and always been a huge fan, but bitterly disappointed with my last meal. Im a vegetarian and ive previously enjoyed good, reasonably priced options at the Ed. Last night I chose the vegetable curry with coconut rice as it seemed like a healthy choice. For $26 I got a curry that was 90% potato (on the menu it mentions cauliflower and chick peas) with the tiniest serve of rice imaginable (on the menu it said coconut rice but it tasted like average steamed rice to me). I cannot fathom how you can charge that price for a vegetarian meal that is all potato? What a complete and utter rip off! Just to put it in perspective I could go to a high end indian restaurant and easily get two vegetarian curries for that price containing an array of non potato ingredients Im not usually one to complain but the Ed seems to be reducing in quality and increasing in price.

Extremely disappointed. Asked for veg instead of salad and got served with a bowl of unpeeled potato and turnips, chunks of half cooked carrots and pumpkin with some fried red onion, all swimming in oil....not just a drizzled but an inch of oil in the salad bowl and then half of my plate was covered in chips. So not only did I get oily potatos but chip overload and not a green veg in sight. When I raised my complaint with the waiter, he apologised and walked off, never to be seen again. Table service was so poor that after the complaint they never came back to clear the table, we waited 45 mins for some feedback and table clearance. All in all, the food was below average and service was not much better.

All over the shop. Nice beer garden but place seemed highly dissorganised, food / drinks forgotten. Average meals and no one seems to care. May return for a beer in the garden but that will be it.

Thank you so much to Kerry and her team for helping to create a special day for our wedding. We used the private garden for our ceremony followed by dinner with 19 guests in a private dining room. We were so happy with everything from the first meeting. Great and friendly service, beautiful food and good value for money. Couldn't recommend it enough

We had my husbands 40th here on the 7th Jan, I honestly cannot thankyou enough for an amazing afternoon. Your staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The platters were delicious and well spaced through afternoon. The whole experience was 10/10 and would recommend it too anyone. �

Thank you so much to Kerry and her team on the day. We had my mother's 80th Birthday for 35 guests in the private dining room. The two long tables were set up beautifully with white linen tablecloths and matching napkins and all cutlery set up etc. The staff were very helpful when we were bringing in our balloons and flowers etc. The food was delicious. The only complaint was regarding the rib eye steak that it was over cooked. The Atlantic salmon, Harissa chicken and salt and pepper squid just superb! The staff were also very attentive to our group on the day. My mother had a very enjoyable luncheon for her birthday. Thank you.

We came in this afternoon with a group of 14 for lunch. At an average spend per head of $35, we were all absolutely disgusted with the food we received. One member of our group's meal came out raw. Not one waiter asked why he ate none of his food, nor were any others asked "how were your meals?". Food was flavourless, poorly cooked and overpriced. Another member of our group felt sick immediately after eating his $35 steak, and spent 30m in the toilet. A celebrearion of our grandmother's 90th was tainted with poor food and innattentive service.

No complaints re the food, drinks or service. All was great for a pub. Probably just so noisy be only complaint. But it was a very hot night so more people chose to eat inside instead of out I think. Lovely setting and old renovated hotel hidden in the back streets of Mitcham.

Great place for a wedding. Surroundings good, staff friendly and helpful, and food great too. All in all a marvellous venue.

7 of us found the food and service fautless. Couldn't finish my mega chicken Sniz, too full. Suggest some vocals happening at lunchtimes, that Dusty Lee you have on some Sundays for instance.

Great wine. Great food. Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was fantastic. Head waitress knew her stuff and nothing was to much trouble. All the food was fresh and came out at the same time.

Very hot day - 37 degrees but the fans and misting fans were fantastic in the garden area. Lots of tables with BIG shady umbrellas. Lovely menu - smoked salmon salad with pomegranates - delicious.

Very nice food and wine at reasonable prices with a wide variety to choose from. The staff are just lovely and can't do enough for you - very professional. We'll definitely be going back.
