We had lemon grass chicken, pad see ew with chicken with a side of Jasmin rice and roti take away.
The mains were absolutely delicious, the rice was nice and moist but the roti was fairly average (we didn't end up eating it) which was the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
We also ordered a bag of prawn crackers which are like none I have ever had before.. ie they are not pink, but they are very addictive!
Great food and very friendly staff, what more can you ask for, open hours are very reasonable as is their pricing, I'd have a meal from this place at least once a week
Have eaten in and had takeaway and both options were deliciously delightful. Not quite sure on what basis all these unfavourable reviews were formed. In my experience it's authentic and inexpensive with friendly staff in an enjoyable atmosphere. For a tiny little place they are definitely batting above average. Love the pad satay and the massamun
Good authentic Thai food doesn't have to have a fancy name nor cost a bundle.
No need to spend $45 for a valet parking to eat at that fancy "Thai" inspired Celebrity Chef owned restaurant at the Crown Tower.
This place probably don't even spend 5% of their renovation budget, however for authenticity, taste, value for money and the joy of having it in such a "very" quaint space, elation in the word.
Their Pla Sam Rod (battered fish) was cooked perfectly and comes with a killer Tamarind sauce.
Massaman Beef Curry sauce with hot steamy Coconut rice is just divine, especially in Melbourne's cold weather.
Thin Rice Noodles Pad Thai won't disappoint you, close to one of the best I've had in Melbourne, even Newton, Sydney or Wollongong.
For what they served and charged this place is way way above average, do mind the tiny space .... great reminder of Bangkok, where these goodies comes from.
Well done .... Kop khun krub.
Excellent place for lunch and takeaway. Would recommend the lunch boxes. Very delicious and value for money. Service was quick and always with a smile
Heads up if you order by WWW - prices like 10% more versus ordering in person over the counter, or probably by phone
Quality has declined lately with stir fries excessively oily
Although still good value
Always a pleasure. This is our definite go-to Thai restaurant. Cheap eats (dishes are around $15 or under), great if you're not looking for anything fancy. We regularly go for dinner and order Green curry with chicken with a large bowl of coconut rice, BBQ pork, and sometimes Pad Thai with prawn/seafood. The owner is a very friendly man and chats to us all the time. Highly recommended for a decent meal :)
A hidden gem. Fantastic food & flavors which took me back to Thailand. Nothing fancy about the place but the food is 10/10 hands down.
Literally the best Thai we have ever eaten anywhere in Australia. As for the negative reviews, yes it does have a LITTLE camphor smell but your really over exaggerating. Nothing wrong with the noddles at all and don't know what they are on about. As for the $15 min card amount toughen up princess most places have a min and hell the mains are less than $15 so stop complaining you can't beat that. We keep going back for this awesome home made authentic food. Ps Great customer service and happy to recommend to anyone.

Amazing food, baby friendly and superb customer service, been three times in one week!
Have eaten here a few times now... And each time the food has been so delicious! The female Thai waitress working there was also just so lovely! Definitely recommend!
Ignore the decor and come for what is excellent food and lovely service.
Checked this out on urbanspoon as I was going through Mitcham. I thought I had made a mistake as the restaurant looked quite old and the Takeaway menu was straight out of the early 80s. Got the food home and was very impressed, prawn green curry was full of good sized prawns and very creamy. The beef was melt in the mouth and the veggie curry puffs were sweet and spicy. Very yum meal and we will go back for more!
Don't judge a book by its cover. Have never felt compelled to write a review before, but decided after eating dinner here, this little gem deserved a big thumbs up. Agree with previous review, this is not a formal type of restaurant, but the attention received was far more welcoming than what I have experienced in most restaurants. After recognising I was feeling cold, a heater was brought out and positioned behind me to keep me warm. The laminated take-away menu belies a gourmet delight. The meal portions were large with a fresh, crisp flavour. My partner ordered stir-fried ginger beef with black mushrooms and could not stop raving how about how good the vegetables were and the quality of the beef. I ordered Pad Krapow as I always do and would rate my meal in my top 5. Two generous entrees and main meals for $39, it was a delicious start to a weekend away at a restaurant we had stopped in simply for a quick bite to eat on our way past.
Recent redecorating have vastly improved the interior, but this is still a diner or a café, not somewhere you'd go "out" for dinner. That being said, prices are excellent and service is prompt and attentive. Basic, clean and reliable - gets my vote.
