Been eating here for over a year now! There was a slump a while back (soggy burgers) but most recently and during lockdown, takeaway burger, love their fried wings (chilli one) and chips are still fresh and hot when I bring it home. Not a huge fan of their lunch special chicken wings, but the mad patty and coke for $10 is an awesome deal!
Great food and service.
Ordered the double madness and mad cluck. Everything was cooked perfectly.
Beef patties were juicy with a little pink inside. Paired with creamy mad mayo, bacon and melted cheese. Delicious.
The grilled chicken was so juicy and marinated with amazing flavors! Paired the great combo of bacon, cheese, avocado with a mustard aioli. Love the consistancy of the food, as it was exactly how I remembered it!
Will definitely be back.

Love Mad Patties!
Great service, lots of vegan options, and the fries... omg they are cooked to perfection. The tater tots are so yummy too.
I am keen to go back to try their Vegan Pork burger plus 1 of the milkshakes!
The very best burgers going around. We are MP fanatics, and tonight's visit took the cake for the most phenomenal Mad experience we've had to date!
I tried the Mad Benji (add Mad mayo), and she had her staple Panko Tango. Honestly, one of the best burgers I've had in my life (including USA!) - the bacon was incredible, the beef patty was delectable. Capped off with our trusted crunchy potato gems and refreshing matcha shake. If they ever try to take MP from us, we'll kick off like there's no tomorrow (because in our minds, there literally won't be).
Superb burgers! Although a little more pricey than McDonalds, the quality definitely makes it worth it! Absolutely loved their Double Madness and Alley Dancer burger, perfect match with some loaded gems and THICK milkshakes ! ! !
Thank you for being on UBEREATS and curing every burger craving i have!
I generally keep it simple with burgers and they nail the basics on bun to pattie ratio and also sweetness of bread to juiciness of pattie.
I’m impressed, my stomachs impressed and that’s all there is.
Excellent burgers and favourite place to hang out with friends!
Has an amazing wide range of choices for both meat lovers and vegans and omg their shakes are so gooood!
Highly recommend :)
No faults at all!
Awesome service, dank buns and even greater potato gemmmmmms. Ps. Grab the milkshakes! To die for not too overtly sweet. Great local joint
This place dishes up consistently delicious food and I am a regular. I have eaten in, but I usually order from this restaurant through UberEats. The ‘Hot and Mad’ burger is my go-to. The burgers are not heavy, the buns are the perfect vehicle of the ingredients, the meat is juicy and the sauce packs a flavour punch. I’ve also tried the ‘Wing Chun’ Wings, Super Crunchy Fries and Chocolate Shake. All were sensational.
We ordered Hot and Mad with an additional patty, jalapeños and pickles. It was so good, juicy and flavoursome. We also ordered the wing Chun which was amazing as well.
So glad to find a great burger place in the area. Really enjoyed the pretty mad (even without the cheese and mayo) and my husband is a big fan of the mad scheme and the double madness. Very reasonably priced as other burger places like this charge a good 20-30% more. Loaded fries are super tasty. Some minor things can be improved like getting better aircon (it gets pretty warm in there on a hot day) and the wait time can be a little long.
Highly recommend!
One of the best burgers in the SE Suburbs. prices are reasonable and service is super friendly, only downside is wait times are sometimes a little long but with the quality of the burgers it's worth the wait.
The wing chun is amazing, spicy wings are a GOTO for me and I'd have them at least once a week I reckon, great selection of burgers and the vegetarian options are also on point
Good burgers and loaded fries and great pricing! Nicely tucked into the row of shops of Mitcham and the service was good too. Got quite busy so seating was a little bit of an issue but for take aways it was great.
If you’re looking for a local, amazing burger bar, look no further than Mad Patties in Mitcham!
My personal favourite burger is the mad lot, but they have running special burgers, as seen on the left in the photo, with chicken patties instead of buns!
The burgers are juicy and thick, like Kim Kardashian, the perfect amount of sauce with beef patties that are medium rare 👌
If you’re going to chose a side piece, make the right choice and go for either the onion rings or chips with the aioli dip, your tongue with thank me later!
The only downsides are the lack of dining space, so on Friday or Saturday nights it becomes more cramped than Doncaster culture kings when a sale is on!
Also, the staff do not deliver your meals, you get a buzzer and have to collect your own food. Tends to be a little awkward during slow periods when you go to grab your food and the staff are just leaning on the bench.
But overall, it’s a great spot to fill a burger craving with friends or that special someone!
Mad Patties in Mitcham offers one of the cheapest burgers I've ever seen! If you check the menu, you'll see so many deals and they're dead cheap!
Honestly, the panko fried chicken would be the highlight as the outer coating is crispy and the inside is juicy! The bacon here reminds me of Chinese beef jerky (square ones) and they really are something different! The beef however is very thick and dense, which isn't the most pleasant when you have other great ingredients. The burgers itself is very dense and heavy, so you'll definitely feel full from just a regular burger.
If you're into Quantity over Quality, then Mad Patties would ve perfect for you! They're cheap as well so you'll walk out feeling good!

Quick and very excellent service . A bit pricy but great comfort food during the winter months. Super tasty burgers thick beef patties and well fried . Choose gems over fries I a meal and all good to go.
Nice little joint out in the SE Suburbs. Always seems busy at lunch and dinner time there is always a wait.
We had a few drinks at a bar a few doors down and they were happy to run over our orders.
I had the MAD MOO (extra patty and cheese), friend had the triple which was massive, other person had the slow pork. Smiles all round.
I had the DOUBLE MADNESS a few weeks ago, while it definitely hit the spot but was a bit over greasy, but with thick double patties and bacon it's to be excepted.
Only downside was chips and potato gems were almost cold when they arrived with the steaming hot burgers, guess they had been sitting around a while.
Will be going back again (most likely to the bar) and having a burger with friends.
a nice burger place with good burger options and good service. possibly a little over priced, but you do get value for money.
The burgers are of good size without being unweilding. the vegetarian option is very tasty.
Tried this place for the first time tonight and it was great for everything customer service, time, value and deliciousness. The Wing Chun chicken wings were spicy, tasty, juicy and divine. The Mad Lot on a gluten free bun was the best burger my husbands ever had and the Double Madness was awesome according to my son. Chips and gems crunchy and tasty too. So pleased this place is just around the corner.
Best burger joint around Eastern suburbs so far. Quiet reasonable prices with good customer service. Both the beef and the chicken patty tastes good.
Very nice burgers, love it. Best burger shop in Mitcham area. Also the snacks are really good. Good location and easy to park. Definitely will come back again.
Some of the best burgers in the Eastern Suburbs! Mad Patties are absolutely mad, melt in your mouth burgers! Their thickshakes are equally as brilliant and pair so well with their burgers. MP is tiny little store in Mitcham, super modern and staff are awesome. The Menu is great and the prices are really decent!
TIP: Do order the Peanut Butter thickshake they certainly don’t skimp on PB. Do order any one of their burgers you will not be disappointed!
Came on a Saturday night at 6:45pm and most of the limited indoor seating was occupied. The service was average but polite; the lady didn’t want to engage in conversation or go beyond the greeting, total and ‘thanks’. I waited outside at a table for around 25mins, when my buzzer went and a worker half way in the door as my meal came out. I wasn’t supplied any napkins, nor were any outside or visible from the outside. I ordered the Mad Lot which was very nice, the added pineapple surprised me as it suited the burger. I also got a large serving of potato gems and a can of drink. The meal was great, just lacked napkins as it was messy. Would dine here again
The food speaks for itself at Mad Patties. A good range of burgers, sides and shakes. If you're looking for a burger in Mitchem, Mad Patties is the place to go. 5/5.
Bloody amazing burgers. Chicken is always succulent and juciey. Beef is tastey and cooked perfectly. Couldn't pick a favorite, all of the burgers are delicious, and the staff are super friendly and fun.
As the name suggest, if you’re mad about patties, then this is the place for you. Heck, even if you don’t like patties, you’re sure to find something to enjoy, whether it’s the crispy potato rings or decadent shakes. We came here one Sunday lunch, prepared for a big decadent meal and weren’t disappointed! We’ll share that experience with you today.
After a long day in the office I couldn't think of much better than digging into the double madness from Mad patties, double beef, cheese and bacon for the price of $15..... could you ask for a better cheap eat ?
Am Definately coming back to get me some more Mad Patties !!
Mad Patties started off with one small store in Doncaster early 2017 pumping out the goods for mainly takeaway but late 2017 they opened a new store in Mitcham with more seating and more of an eat in and chill type of vibe.
They have burgers for everyone including beef, chicken, fish and vegan options and with the new Mitchem store came the addition of fried chicken wings. If you love wings, these are a must!!
The burgers definitely look the part and taste the part. The buns are toasted nicely and the beef is juicy, and the sauce is saucy.
Came here after taking the other half for a beer at The Foragers Drop just a few doors down the mall.
Wasn't overly hungry so had a childhood flashback and enjoyed the potato gems.
They have a few loaded opens so I got option A with cheese sauce, jalapenos and their amazing hotmad mayo.
I wouldn't mind asking them on a future visit if they'll do "naked" versions of their burgers because the vegetarian options sound great, but I can never get through a whole burger with the bun.
Now I'm fairly certain the pint of beer consumed prior to our visit might have helped things along, but my other half really enjoyed the burger he had here.
I think he had the Mad Moo but I'm just guessing off the top of my head. I know it had beef and he really did seem to enjoy it. The fries he had were really good. They have a SENSATIONAL American style mustard that we loaded his fries with as well as what I can only assume was Americal ketchup.
Overall pretty good value and being walking distance from the local bar was a bonus.
They actually have the menu sitting on the bar at Foragers and delivery there so we might try that for a future night out.

When you’re good friend says “Nige, I need your thoughts” you move the restaurant to the top of the list. Mad Patties had decided to extend itself into Mitcham and I think Mitcham should be grateful. This place is awesome. Whilst this is on the main street – I highly recommend you take advantage of the free parking in Coles behind the place.
Needed a tasty late lunch quickly and the burgers and chips didn’t disappoint!
Mad moo was delicious and the chips are close to the best I’ve had. Nice work 👌🏻
So good to have a decent burger place in Mitcham! Ordered takeaway - the Red Alert Veggie burger with Loaded Potato Gems lathered in Cheese sauce. Both were really good, particularly the potato gems! Would highly recommend!
The burgers are deceptively filling and if there is a must try. Definitely get the potato gems, they will take you back to your childhood. The sauce selection is also impressive (sriracha mayo is very tasty). Vegetarian burgers we had were also packed full of flavour, would recommend for any vegos after a fulfilling feed.
Took my family first time to try out the burger. Got the jumbo set for ,😜$30, consist of 2x the lot and 2x sides . Hv onion rings and fries . The burger is great. Quality was super and the onion ring is cooked the way I tasted onion for the first time. Well done . The value is so much better than getting burger from MacDonald or hungry jack. Keep up the good work. I will be visiting soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to mad patties today. We ordered the the Mad Moo and Hot and Mad burgers. The Hot and Mad burger is faultless due to its medium rare patty and the hot flavour which doesn't go overboard so you can still taste the flavours of the burger. The mad moo felt as if it needed a "home made sauce" or something to set it apart from other burgers but was still great. The gold potato gems and sweet potato chips went well with the burgers and were crispy to perfection- not over done. If you feel like a shake to compliment your meal the Salty Peanut Butter is the way to go for a flavoursome shake (yes- if you haven't figured out by now, we're PB obsessed at twogood!)
Snuggled in amongst a strip of shops in the heart of Mitchum is this burger restaurant, that churns out some delicious burgers and super crispy chips. We tried the Mad Moo (beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, sweet mayo) and The Mad Lot (beef, cheese, bacon, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, egg, onion, ketchup, sweet mayo). Both were delicious! Loved the sweetness of the pineapple in the Mad Moo, really added great flavour and lifted it to next level. The buns are thicker than normal but I actually really liked that (I hate when thin buns get too soggy and everything falls apart). If you’re in the area definitely check this place out!
Amazing juicy burgers that were cooked fresh and to perfection! Defiantly a huge feed and a very satisfying one if you just want to make sure your cheat day is well spent ! There are some healthier options on the menu however for those that just want a not so heavy burger and also the option of sweet potato fries 👌🏽
I had two of those combo meals, one with a double beef patty and one with slow cooked pork and both tasted really good! The onion rings and potato gems were also v crunchy and delicious

Yet another burger venue, this time all the way out in Mitcham. Firstly it’s great that people out this way have a place which produces pretty good quality burgs, and they seemed to be doing a roaring trade both in store and in takeaways, which on a Tuesday is always a good sign. The service was great, super friendly and attentive, while the store itself, while small, still manages to fit quite a few (~20 people) inside. The menu is quite varied and on the more affordable side which are both good things. All the burgers we tried had nicely cooked beef and mine also had perfectly juicy chicken with a nice coating and a great house sauce. The only thing I would change is the buns, nothing really wrong with them except they are quite big and filling, something else might work better. The sides were all great too, especially the seasoning on the gems. Will definitely be back.
I was a bit wary of our visit after a negative review here. I like my cheese melted on my burger and my burger buns warm. After some other more positive reviews, we decided to take a chance. I was worried when the first point in the negative review seemed to come to fruition, but I can confidently say, it was only the wait time that was an issue for us.
We arrived around 10 minutes after opening, and placed our order within a couple more. While things are clearly made fresh here, I think then, that a wait time of (easily) half an hour, without a warning or explanation for four burgers and two sides was a bit steep. I noticed a lot of people coming in after us, picking up take-away orders. They're doing a roaring trade here in take away - menu-log was mentioned more than once. That's great, but perhaps warn your over the counter customers they're going to have a little bit of a wait.
K, got that done and dusted. The positives are many. I love the colour scheme of the banquette seating, and the small space is clean. The one person behind the counter was friendly, and I could hear the people out in the kitchen at times having a great old time. The stools provided are generous and relatively comfortable. There are some delicious looking shakes, smoothies and juices, but we went for regular drinks (water and soft-drink) this time around.
Once our food eventually arrived, it was almost worth the wait - they do good work here. No complaints what-so-ever from my fellow diners who devoured their 'Mad Moo' (traditional burger), 'A Mad Scheme' (beef and crumbed chicken burger), and 'Slow Pork' (Bulgogi pulled pork burger). My 'Hot and Mad' consisted of a perfectly cooked beef pattie (still pink) that genuinely tasted of beef, cheese, lettuce, caramelised onion, jalapeno, pickled and hot 'mad' mayo. Our buns were indeed toasted and still warm, and the cheese melty enough. Great size (not stupidly oversized), enough to satisfy. Our two sides were the large Potato Gems and the Loaded fries - slightly unloaded, that is to say, to ensure all our diners could enjoy, I requested the two spicy options of jalapenos and hot mayo were served on the side. The staff were happy to do this, though they did initially forget to give us the mayo. Glad we realised the omission, as that mayo is brilliant. The fries then just had the cheese sauce and spring onions on top. They were well cooked and seasoned fries and gems and the four of us just managed to finish the lot.
Rating would have been a point higher but for the wait without notice. The style, flavour and variety of burgers is great, We'll have to try shakes and wings next. Hopefully the delay was a one-off.
With a pretty diverse menu as far as burger joints go, there's a bit to choose from - but it's hard to go wrong. Being a fan of all things spicy, I opted into the Hot & Mad; beef, cheese, lettuce, caramelised onion, pickles, jalapeños and hot MAD mayo. Let's face it, if your lips aren't burning half way through, you're doing it wrong. Mine were red. HEAVEN. I'd have this for dinner every night if it wasn't a little bit socially unacceptable (is it?). The Panko Tango was another winner; panko crumbed chicken, cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles, sweet mayo and caramelised onion - perfect combo of flavours. It would cruel and unusual not to order sides at a burger joint. With all the classics available, you can't look past some tots, onion rings and an Oreo shake to wash it all down. Perfectly crispy and delicious, they've nailed everything at this place. Sometimes after a big burg indulgence your mouth feels like a thin film of oil is coating it and you're not sure if your tongue is touching teeth or gum - not at Mad Patties - what kind of magic is this?!
When burger joints in the city are killing it, I'm so happy to know there are places like this giving them an awesome run for their money, and in really good style. If you don't live in the Mitcham area, a train ride or drive should be on the cards for you - these burgs are worth it any day of the week.
Full (an probably funnier) review live on the blog now, link in bio :)
Tasty, home-style burgers and fantastic fries. Takes a little longer to make (15 mins) but it is worth it. My only criticism is that every burger has mayonnaise (the devil's condiment) and they do not have many other options. They don't even have BBQ sauce!
Back when I worked in Nunawading, I realised very quickly that there's pretty much NOTHING you can get in a 30 minute lunch break in that suburb. Right next door though, Mitcham is full of cafes and perfect spots for quick afternoon bites, though delivery is still the best option for people whose lunch break starts the second they leave their work building/office/sales floor/site.
This place delivers and the staff are super friendly and accommodating just judging by their phone manner. The food is amazing and is the perfect fix when you're craving burgers. The loaded gems are always a good idea, and the shakes are just fantastic. You feel like an absolute fatso afterwards if, like me, you order a burger, loaded gems/fries and a shake, but man, it's worth it. I almost wish I still worked in the lunch-barren wasteland of Nunawading just to be close to Mad Patties. We'll meet again, my love. I promise.
Burgers are the ultimate comfort food. I have made it my mission to find the best burger in my local area and Mad. Patties was on the list to try.
Last week I ordered 'The Mad Lot' Burger and the 'Panko Tango', complimented with sides of Super Crunch Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, their Oreo Shake and Salted Caramel Shake. The fries were absolutely glorious, some of the best I have tasted in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed my Panko Tango burger too which consisted of panko crumbed chicken, cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles and sweet mayo. It was just as good, if not better than On It Burgers in Ferntree Gully.
Mad. Patties has that all-American burger joint feel. Perhaps the only downside is the oiliness of patties that does tend to sit rather heavily in your stomach at the end of the meal.
Are takeaway burgers allowed to taste so good?? This was the first time visiting the Mitcham branch and it was a success. Loved the intense cheese work on my burger, the beef patty and panko chicken worked surprisingly well together. Great little place to try if you're having a burger craving!
Dropped by their store for a late lunch. Quite happy with what was served. Really enjoyed the beef and all the sauces. The loaded gems are really good and went down a treat! The new Mitcham store fitout is nice and the staff are friendly.
Finally a local burger place doing right! I LOVED my Hot and Mad burger. The patty was really thick and cooked through but still juicy and delicious. The peanut butter shake was amazing too. But the "super crunch" fries were actually more like "sort-of crunchy" fries. All in all, this place is great. I can't wait to sample more of the menu.
Taste of the burgers were good although the temperature was warm/cold as though they'd been sitting there for a little while. The potato gems were crispy but also warm/cold which ruined them. Onion rings were great and hot and the thickshake and smoothie were delicious. If the food temperature was hotter the experience would have been better.
We've had MPs delivered a couple of times and the burgers have been delicious every time. I've had the Mad Moo burger and it's the perfect burger, patties cooked to perfection with melted cheese. Definitely making this one of our regular eats!
First up this place is not cash only as the information section on Zomato suggests. Who even carries cash these days anyway? Yes there is limited seating but a lot of people were opting for takeaway when we dined their last night. Either way it's pretty good value at $35 for two burgers, a drink and sweet potato fries and the servings were quite substantial. While it wasn't the best burger I've ever had I definitely enjoyed my meal and it's a great little local. Burger joints seem to be taking over the world, not that I'm complaining!
Editing my review from a 4/5 to a 5/5. After 3 months they have definitely improved. Absolutely delicious burgers, fast service and well priced. ❤️LOVE ❤️
---
I had the hot mad burger which was to my surprise really spicy (I'm Indian so that's saying something)! The beef patty was really juicy and perfectly cooked. The other ingredients were all fresh. My partner had the mad lot which he also said was great. Pretty reasonably priced with two burgers, chips and a drink at $30. The seating is very limited, don't expect a seat however they do take away and delivery. Service is also slow but they only opened a week ago so still new. This is exactly what Mitcham was missing!
This review is based on the store in Tunstall Square, Doncaster East.
Good, simple burgers and their super crunch fries are really, really crunchy. Despite being a fairly busy evening, they were cooking up orders very efficiently and takeaway orders are packed with lots of care. The kitchen has an open plan so you see everything that's happening right in front of you. It's almost like paying homage to the good old corner Fish & Chips shop especially with one of their popular items, the Mad Lot.
I can't wait for the Mitcham one to open soon as it's just down the road'ish from me.
Very decent burger! I had the Mad Pretender, and as far as vegetarian/vegan meat goes, this was very good! The lettuce was beautifully fresh, the pineapple sweet and there was an appropriate amount of sauce to cover the 'pork'.
Although I had a little trouble hearing the server, I put that down to masks and the perspex - something I can hardly complain about. The service was otherwise nice and quick.
