Review The Roses Cafe - Mittagong

Greg Horne
This is the place to take a break after a long drive on the freeway and indulge in the most wonderful cakes, pies and salads. And the potato bake...mmmmm... Plenty to choose from and always satisfying. Comfortable and spacious inside. Might drop in on the way home too!

I was travelling towards Bowral, and went pass Mittagong. This Cafe is located right off Old Hume Hwy, plenty of street parking around the cafe. It was my second time here, and will always come to this shop if going to Bowral or other places along Hume Freeway from Campbelltown. The first time I ordered Curry Lamb pie and it was great too. Their pies are a little bit dearer than other people’s pies, but it’s definitely worth more than the price. The fillings inside the pie was so generous that it really fulfils an empty stomach. The staff was very friendly too, answering questions and always wears a smile which makes people feel welcome. Only downside is that I hope they can open a shop more towards Sydney, but regardless I will still go.

Great quick friendly service. Many varied and tasty meals and snacks at reasonable prices. Great off street parking and great hours of service.

Overall very nice cafe. The service here is really good. The employees put a lot of effort into each customer which is greatly appreciated. The cafe was very clean and tidy and the emlpoyees would clean after every person. I ordered a hot chocolate and a pear and almond muffin, both of which were quite good. The only thing lacking was a lively atmosphere as we were the only ones there; it was later in the afternoon so I guess thats the reason. I think this is a lovely, well presented cafe with a great selection of food.

Excellent. Great food, friendly staff, clean, bright and roomy. Large selection of freshly made goods to choose from, displayed in glass cabinet.

I drove 50 minutes to try this cafe, food could be a tad better but absolutely lovely service! I will go again

I love this café, the food is delicious and plentiful. I always order more than i can eat! It's very clean, the staff are friendly and the coffee is good, which is a must for me. The ambience needs some work bit otherwise great place to stop for a quick, fresh, delicious and convenient meal or snack.

Went here after being ignored (along with other people too) at another cafe down the road, and couldn't have been happier. Super friendly, and immediately sorted out a high-chair for my friend's baby and a bowl of water for our dog without really being asked. Coffee and food was good, but the friendly service was the standout.
