This place is a family favourite! The service is so friendly!! The food is beautiful, fresh and authentic. Nice atmosphere and quick service too. Yes, you need to come here if you’re in the area and love a good Thai feed!

Awesome Thai restaurant with some great vegan options. I had the salt & pepper eggplant and vegan Simply Thai Noodles. The staff are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is great! Highly recommend.

Friendly service, good ambience. Small serving of food. We ordered basil prawn and talay chicken. Basically have the same ingredients, the only difference is that talay has coconut milk.

Stumbled across this place while needing to grab an early dinner in the area. Actually enjoyed the service it was professional and efficient. The food was simple and tasty and presented nice! Not too overpowering. Loved the soft shell crab dish, it was more crisp than many places. A family friendly relaxed environment.

Acoustic rating 3/5. The food in here was excellent! Just a little difficult to easily converse due to echoes and poor general acoustics. Everyone trying to speak louder than the next table made it very noisy and no sound dampening furnishings. Friendly staff and easy car parking out the back. Highly recommended for food.

Extraordinary flavours on any dish you order. We love it. Besides, they have vegan options if you are interested. Highly recommended. Suggest to book specially on weekends. Parking at the back of the restaurant.

Came here on a weekday for dinner, phone line was busy all the time but we managed to get a table on the spot. Ordered soft shell crab as an entree and 3 mains to share between the three of us. Crispy beef is a must-try as well as the red curry fish. Nothing is spicy in our order, pretty safe for one of us to handle. Mains price ranges from $21 above, ambience was nice amd clean. Great for family dinners!

Amazing food and service! The staff are always super friendly and hospitable. I can never go passed the salt and pepper eggplant for entrée and the red curry fish for main!

To be honest, I’m surprised how many people were actually dining in here. Maybe we got them on a bad night, but wow - definitely did not meet expectations. Both our meals were very average and not up to the standard of other similar establishments in the area.

Excellent service. 👌🏼 The food are amazing and absolutely delicious. They don’t serve cocktails but the waiter made it work and made me a yummy Espresso Martini. 🍸 The food are served hot and perfectly cooked. I recommend the BBQ Coconut Chicken and Crispy Beef. They are to die for! 👌🏼

The food is simply divine, the flavours in all the meals we had were beautiful! The spices all come through but don’t overpower. The staff here are all fantastic, so happy, helpful and laid back and they go above and beyond. They all look happy to be at work, which is a rare thing to see.

Visited last night and was very impressed with the friendly service upon arrival and throughout the evening. The food was excellent and I would definetly go again :)

Haven't been here in a long time and were pleasantly reminded of tasty food, great service, very attentive but not over the top. Good value for money and reasonable size serves. Young wait staff were engaging will be back soon.

Very disappointed unfortunately. My wife and I have driven past this place for a long time and decided one night to try it out.

We ordered an entree octopus and two noodle dishes (Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles) - Whilst the entree was decent, both of the noodles were drowning in sauce and were way too sweet, it's like they just mixed a bottle of sweet chilli sauce with some fried noodles and decided that'll be their signature taste.

Luckily for us the dishes were incredibly small, any larger and I feel like I would need to be checked for diabetes.

One positive is that the one waiter that was there was pretty friendly.

Have had takeaway from here. Four dishes for $53 was good value although the serves aren't big. Fed 3 adults is reasonable value for money. The service was fast and friendly and it looked like a pleasant place to dine in. Front counter area very clean and well organised. Not the best Thai I've ever eaten but certainly edible.

Summary: takeaway service good, food upper end of average, price - good value for money. Worth a try? Yes.

Standard Thai fare. Nothing exciting about the food here but hits the Thai food craving spot. Quite a lot of menu options so can't vouch for everything here, but the dishes I have tried are anything but spectacular. Will probably continue to go to Aroy Thai nearby instead.

Love Thai food, have tried almost all in Adelaide this place is clearly the best!!! Service, nothing is ever to hard, changing dishes, adding extras to suit your taste is never a problem. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! Signature dishes:Crispy Beef & Chicken Satays!!

Been driving past this place for almost two decades and today I finally decided to try it. Simply Thai located on North East Road and in an odd location as it is in the middle of residential properties. This place has been around for so long, and it always looked quite popular because there are always cars parked in front of it. However, I couldn't tell if those cars were customer's or the people that live next to it... but judging the amount of people inside, they were probably the resident's cars.

Anyway moving onto the food, since we had no idea what we wanted, and with the previous experiences at Thai restaurants we were running out of choices. So we then chose the banquet they offered, and it was one pricey banquet for what you get. The banquet costed $36 per head, and for what you're getting, I think that's a little more on the expensive side. The food once again was quite disappointing, the food all the tasted the same with the same old sweet chilly taste. With all these experiences, I'm probably going to take a break from Thai food.

After eating all the main dishes, we wanted to conclude the night with some desserts, so we ordered deep fried ice cream, one of my favourite dishes back in the days. This alone made the night. One of the better deep fried ice cream I had in Adelaide, although I always though deep friend ice cream was more of a Chinese dish rather than a Thai dish, but it was still great.

All together, Simply Thai is just an average Thai restaurant you can find around Adelaide, with nothing really standing out. I would probably continue driving past it for the next few decades.

Very disappointing. Arrived on time as per our reservation. Was sighted by several staff but not greeted or acknowledged for over 20 mins, should have really left then! Eventually seated and waited over an hour for our soup. No napkins or cutlery had been provided so had to ask and waited again what seemed long time with mains getting cold. Looked around the restaurant and many table vacant that hadn't been cleaned up and still had all dirty dishes on them, these were vacant when we arrived. Not once did the staff asked if we enjoyed our meal. Good but not great food but the chef and kitchen staff were well and truly let down by the service in the front of house. These people need to learn a little bit about customer service. Overall a very disappointing experience. We won't ever go back

Quick, sloppy and tasteless. Purchased a noodle dish described as having 'fresh herbs and chilli' as its flavour. Absolutley no herbs or chilli. I got quick and nasty noodles that came out about 6 minutes after ordering that were saturated in soy sauce, just like what you would expect in a foodcourt.

Simply Thai. We made a book.... Simply Thai.
We made a booking and were greeted plesently and sat down straight away. We had drinks offered in good time and food ordered straight after that.
The only reason I have said I didn't like it was we found the food to be well too simple. It was lacking the Thai flavours we love so much and the curry was like soup. So runny it didn't stick to the rice.
I did notice while we were eating that majority of the people eating there were 50 and over. It makes sense because people in that age group try to stay away from food with too much zang.
The place wasn't horrible, I think we just have high expectations because we really love authentic Thai food.

Embarrassing Night!. Customer Service Shocking! Left standing in doorway! While waiting to be seated! We booked a five seater table, Then told couldn't sit there! Moved us! As it was a five seater table, and four of us turned up! Only for them to sit the next four people at the same table!

Food average! Rice terrible! Took ages for waitresses to clear the table inbetween meals, only to have them spill juice from dinner plate all over my friends bag! The waitress didn't say anything! When we told someone! No offer of a towel or them to clean it up!

No Organisation what's so ever!

We suggested this place to our friends, been left feeling bad we asked them to come with us!

Will not be going back there!

Fresh and delicious.. This is a family owned and operated business that deserves praise for the lovely food and friendly service. Seems they don't operate with many staff but they certainly work hard to please and the food is delicious ! Try the shared entree plate which I devour alone, it's always nice to enjoy different flavours. Highly recommended.

Not enough amount of food. They need to be a little more generous

Pleasant Surprise. Decided to try the food since we had the entertainment voucher. I read the reviews beforehand but we wanted to judge ourselves. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted and was given the choice to choose our table. Then we were served water pretty much immediately after being seated. We asked for 5 minutes to decide what we wanted to eat. 5 minutes later they came to our table. The food was served about 15 minutes later which I though it was pretty quick. Food was yummy. My husband enjoyed it so much and said every dish was not salty. That's a big plus for us. We enjoyed our dining experience very much last night and would consider going back. If we don't, it is just because we are trying somwhere else with our unused vouchers!

Great food but. Food really good. 9 /10. , but service 4/ 10. Arrived told seats over there ok then sat for 25 min befor anyone came to ask if we even wanted a drink! When finally asked we order our food too. Which was a good move, as wine glass was quite dry befor getting asked if we wanted another . There are losing money by not keeping a check on tables. Also the phone needs someone just to answer that as it is left to ring out constantly ,to which all dinner have to listen too .

Have tried takeaway from this place a couple of times now but sadly it has been disappointing. The meals are very overpriced considering how small the serves are and the quality of the food is poor and isn't really authentic Thai. Won't be back again!

Absolutely love the food here..simply divine. Fast becoming my new favourite Thai restaurant

Slow service, average food, dirty toilets.. Got to the restaurant at about 6.20, directed to a table then had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes to get offered water - by that time we were ready to order. Picked out our meals immediately, ordered drinks. Got a flat Coke, sent it back - when you can see the empty 1.25 litre bottle sitting on the bench of the bar it's pretty depressing to know that you paid $4 for the bottom of a bottle that's been open for a week. Waited quite some time between courses. Main meals didn't have a lot of flavour apart from garlic. After waiting quite some time for the plates from our main meals to be collected, we ordered dessert - my companions ordered plain ice-cream (part of their buffet package) and I ordered a fried ice-cream. My companions' dessert was brought ought almost immediately, they ate, a good ten minutes later the waitress came out to inform me that it would still take "an extra minute or two" for mine - completely unacceptable - if it was going to take longer for mine to be prepared then they should have let me know before I ordered it and I would have ordered what everyone else did.

To top it all off, I used the mens' room and there may have been something growing in the urinal drain. No toilet paper, dirty toilet, no paper towel for drying your hands and no automatic hand dryer.

All in all, probably the worst experience at a restaurant I can recall - your options for Thai food in the area are great and this place is awful.

Love the food, it is one of our regular favorites. Service is good and they have one of my favorite wines, what's not to love

Poor food. Ming,
we have eaten at Simply Thai on a regular basis for going on 10 years. On Saturday night 7/12/13 we had the worst coconut chicken ever experienced. It was large pieces of rubbery chicken skin amongst the ordinarily tasy chicken pieces. It seemed that the skin was mixed amongst the flesh in order to make the meal appear bigger.. The crispy beef was also in large pieces which defeated the use of a spoon to cut - needed a rather sharp knife. Have you changed your chef or just not interested in provifing the fantastic meals which you did in the past?

Eric

Wasn't the most authentic dishes I have tasted, also dining room was very cold and not much of a atmosphere.

Absolute garbage. Satay skewers hadsauce that rresembles a dull gravy with a couple of peanuts chucked in, chicken soup hadhhorrible pink chicken at the bottom of a foul broth, and the BBQ chicken (apparently very popular) was rubbish. The quality of chicken is poor. The service was crap also. Never again.

Simply YUM!. So one evening my partner forced me to try something different, he loves thai/chinese/korean, all that stuff that Im quite scared of and have never really tried as an adult. As a child I thought it was all cats and dogs lol.

We chose Simply Thai based on the reviews and we had a voucher.
I was quite upset and not happy being forced to try something new so I walked into the restaurant with the mindset that it was going to be gross and to my suprise I LOVED it, all the meals were fantastic and full of flavour!
Nothing scary at all :) They can even tailor the meal to suit your needs, Mild or Hot, Seafood or Chicken etc.
My partner got the ever popular BBQ Coconut Chicken with a side of Rice which he thought was fantastic!
Peanut Sauce also amazing!
I had the drunken noodles it was soo good I had to take my left overs home! Service was fantastic and the wait wasnt too long, maybe about 15 mins on a saturday night, there were no empty tables either

Recommend this place! cannot wait to go back :)

Simply Thai was quite simply one of the best Thai experiences I have had in quite a while. Service was good, meals came out fast, menu wasn't too pricey. the homemade peanut sauce is a must Thai, and my main a chilli and kaffir lime prawn curry special was simply amazing! you've tried the rest now Thai the best ;)

The BBQ coconut chicken is AMAZING. Also love the chicken satay skewers and satay chicken stir fry.
