Review Georges Fish Shop - Moe

Just had some "Cardboard Cake's " and compared with the home made ones that they used to sell - NAH! 0 Flavor 0 Texture.

I went there twice today - the first time and the last time. I had two pieces of flake. The actual fish fillet was very very thinly sliced, previously frozen and when I took a bite, a dirty brown coloured fillet was revealed. I'm sure it wasn't the oil as the fish itself was encased in batter 4 times as thick as the fish - there's no way the oil would have penetrated that much batter - I think. No cardboard box, just wrapped in paper - end result, limp fish and soggy batter. YUK. I'd never been to this place before and never will again. Give it a wide berth and, heaven forbid, go to Hungry's just around the corner and some.

Tidy joint, great souvlakis, great fried fish and great crab sticks. Staff are friendly and prices are good.

It was the best fish shop I've have been into for a while where what you ordered is cooked perfectly
