Review Konnichiwa Sushi Bar - Mona Vale

Service was extremely slow. We were the only ones in the restaurant yet took an hour for our food to arrive. This had been our experience over 3 years previously but we thought we would give them another chance. While we were there plenty of delivery service orders went out the door. Perhaps the slow service was the reason we were the only ones in the restaurant? I would recommend prioritising your in restaurant diners if you wish for them to be continuing customers. We won’t be back.

Terrible customer service Asked for a menu and was given a QR code. I had a few questions and they looked at me very confused. After some investigating I found out their ramen base comes from a jar and isn’t brewed the traditional way over a long day. Your Japanese ancestors would be very disappointed Heard good things about here but I’m disappointed by this terrible ordering system / customer service. Why go to a restaurant to order from an app. Pathetic Restaurant was also full of messy tables to be cleaned.

The owners are a young family and are amazing chefs, it’s a sushi train but they offer a la carte which is really good. All the favourites in the e sushi train and then hot food of Gyoza, Katsu and the usual suspects over rice (Donburi). I love Japanese and have eaten all over the world, this is right up there, local to Northern beaches and Pittwater! Woohoo - will 100% make this a go to!

The WORST delivery and food experience yet once again! Constantly being met with various ridiculous excuses as to why our food is over three hours late and yet we live 5 mins away!!!! We try to support local businesses but with constant stupid responses of of why the supposed order was received or not received, a driver arrived not arrived etc etc etc. Basically if you cannot fulfill a customers order with good conscience prior to taking their money! DO NOT ACCEPT THE ORDER. You are being a thief and pretending your lack of English and otherwise will get you out of your responsibility. Do not take peoples money if you cannot deliver their food within a responsible time frame and that being probably within half an hr of order.

Delicious fresh food, but we waited over an hour for it. It looked as if all online orders were prioritised and people dining in neglected. No explanation, no excuse. Not a great experience with 2 kids in tow.

Thank God the foods good as there is no service to complain about. Weekend staff si so rude. Probably won't go back. 😕

Absolutely DREADFUL service! Have been waiting over 3 hours for our food, but still haven't received it. The restaurant won't accept responsibility, and blame Menulog, but the person answering the phone said that the food hasn't actually been made. Absolutely poor performance. Hopefully they deliver it within 4 hours of placing our order! (P.S. if I could give a 0 star review, I would).

The food is very close to perfect...the new menu concept is a great idea as well..

This place was great! Ordered the beef teriyaki bento and it was generous. Not sure whether it is a smaller size for lunch as the price difference is almost double for dinner. Tempura was crispy and perfectly cooked and the teriyaki sauce was balanced and well-seasoned! Found the miso soup a bit too salty for my liking. Ordered the salmon aburi roll and it was SO GOOD. Price-wise on the heavy side, but well worth the taste and quality for Mona. Will come back again!

Very good sushi restaurant, looks like tranditional style, I ordered Sushi bento and it taste good, I will come next time try others food. <br/><br/>Sushi lover could come and try.
