Nice food, good size meal decent price not over priced like up in Olinda nice relaxing atmosphere friendly staff and owners great selection of beer on tap and nice wine I recommend it
We went here on Sunday for lunch and the experience was wonderful. Friendly and welcoming service from the staff, and the food was excellent. We tried the parma of the month and it was a generous portion, fresh and full of flavours. Would have preferred no dressing on the side salad but apart from that, an excellent meal. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and will definitely go back.
We dined here numerous times during our holiday in the Dandenong Ranges, it's hard to choose from all of their great dishes. Must leave room for dessert, the chocolate mousse is to die for & must try their local cider on tap too!
The food here is amazing. The sweet potato mash was the best I have ever eaten and the portions are very generous. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and the chef is super cool. Lovely family atmosphere. Highly recommended and will be back for sure!!

Wonderful service and food! We booked out the venue for our daughter's 18th and came back to celebrate her Baptism. Food is amazing and great value! A cosy Hills eatery.

Absolutely loved the wood fired pizza here! Highly recommend the lamb pizza 😍. The wait time was extremely fast, which was a bonus and the staff were very friendly. Can't wait to go back and try their other other dishes 😁

Went here for the first time for a group social night and the smoked salmon pizza was seriously good eating! I loved it so much I didn't even try the others on offer. I'm surprised to read some reviews stating the food wasn't great. I'm really hoping that perhaps that is in the past, as I was very happy with what they served, enough to tell the fam that we will have to come back for a family night out sometime soon. The service was a bit slow, but, it was friendly and accommodating.
Went out for a family dinner at this local, we really enjoyed it. The meals were well cooked, everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The portions are very big so we couldn't finish everything. We went on a Monday night which was a bonus as the kids eat for free on
Mondays. Would definitely go back.
I really like the venue. Spacious. Country. Not too loud. The beer garden is lovely too. Service is friendly but not always fast. The food servings are generous and moderately priced. It's what you expect to pay at most pubs but a lot better than you'd expect to eat! The lamb pizza is excellent and the chips are extremely well cooked.
Been here twice with the missus, had a very enjoyable meal both times. Great pub food, with a bit more variety than your standard pub, and with great ingredients! Price is pretty much where you'd expect it to be, we spend about $80.00 for mains and a few pints, the service is great - lots of warm friendly staff, with swift delivery. Of special note are their woodfire pizzas - very filling, very fresh and you can't beat cooking with wood for a pizza! Great with a pint of speckled!

So happy they are on the mountain!. I have no idea what that reviewer is talking about? We are local and really go the feeling that the owners we opening for us. We ordered a Pama and had the opposite experience, cooked perfectly, tomato topping was chunky and tasted home made, ham tasted like good ham off the bone and the cheese was bubbling and delicious. Garlic prawns were also ordered but as an entree and I thought the were delicious and the rice was definitely a risotto. I can't comment on the pasta dish as it was not ordered, however all meals were totally satisfying including a seafood risotto and the lambs fry. They were great with my kids and even went to the effort to learn my two children's names.
Decore is comfortable and has been refreshed and the historical pictures of Monbulk are a real talking point. Granted a new business and like all new businesses have room for improvement, but guess what, they even asked for feed back and we were so happy they genuinely wanted to hear it.
We will be back and we really look forward to watching the business flourish, I hope they will open for weekend breakfast.
