Ordered the Big Brekky and the Margarita Pizza! They were both delicious đ
Mister and Miss is absolutely crowded on the weekends which - for some people, can add to an enjoyable bustling catch up experience. The wide range of freshly pressed juices were unlike many other brunch spots! đ„đ„Źđ„
One downside of Mister and Miss is probably the fact that they donât do swap outs đ As a pescatarian, I usually do some swap outs for the Big Brekkyâs at brunching spots (bacon for mushrooms - usually) but it may be just because theyâre too busy! But they do have a decent selection of both meaty and veggie meals.
We came by this cafe for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was quite packed but they managed to seat us straightaway.
The interior of the cafe is beautiful and it had a great bustling vibe.
We ordered our drinks before the food but for some reason they did not come even when the food was delivered. We asked to check on them and the waitress said they did not have the order so we placed the order again. This time they were delivered quickly.
I ordered the Mister Spanish which was scrambled eggs, chorizo, napoli, parmesan and rocket on sourdough toast. I added a hash on top. When it hit the table the serving was gigantic. It was a very generous serve for $18.50 and even the hash was huge for $4.50. The dish for me was unfortunately disjointed as the rocket and parmesan did not go with the eggs and napoli sauce. There was also too much toast on the plate (3 slices) and the toast was quite ordinary as was the chorizo. The hash was crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside but needed more seasoning. The eggs were well-cooked and fluffy.
My partner had the crushed avo with added bacon which was also a very generous serving. He enjoyed it but could not finish it.
All in all a good place to dine and I wouldnât mind coming back to give the other dishes a go.
i've been here a few times now and this place never fails to deliver on friendly, speedy service, excellent coffee and delicious food. with an extensive menu you're guaranteed to find something you want, with all day breakfast and lunch you can't go wrong. suffice to say this has become my go to for brunch when i can't figure out where to go, or just don't feel like venturing out to the CBD
We have been here a few times and really loved the warehouse like open ambience. The food here is very generous and not as fancy as other brunch spots. I really enjoy the fritters and the baked eggs here while my mum always gets the big breakfast
I went today with my boyfriend and ordered a mocha, the crab burger and the beef burger. The water glass I was given was dirty. The mocha was great however the crab burger was overly salty, greasy and a bit burnt. The beef burger was ok, but the patty was dry and overly herby which subdued the actual taste of the beef. Some of the chips were cold and slightly over cooked and some were more fresh and hot. Overall today was a sub par experience. However, having been multiple times before (lamb salad is amazing) and having had a good experience until today, I believe that mister & miss is still a good cafe to try.
Love everything in Mister and Miss! Have my lunch every Saturday in Mister and Miss! It never let me down! From the chicken pizza to calamari salad, from soft shell crab burger to big brekkie, from flat white to iced coffee, everything is amazing! Thank you!
My favorite place to eat in the eastern suburbs. Even when its heaving and busy you never seem to have wait long for a table. You won't be disappointed, whether it's for breakfast or lunch, or just a coffee and croissant. Great food in generous portions, wonderful friendly staff, oh and the coffee is fabulous.Â
And as a bonus, owners Dennis and Christina are two of the nicest people you could ever meet.
Our go-to family brunch restaurant.
The cafe always uses high quality fresh ingredients.
Delicious food. Fast friendly service.
Delicious food, really quick service and great atmosphere. Food was what you would expect for brunch cafe, but really tasty and big portions.
Would recommend and definitely will be back.
Love this local place, the coffee is good and the food is amazing! My favourite is the Calamari salad, lightly battered and perfectly cooked to a very tender texture
Pumpkin salad with smoked salmon :)
Firstly, the architecture of the place is great - good contrast between modern wooden and an older brick backdrop. Service is super friendly too.
Taste of the salad was fresh, grilled haloumi was a little chewy, but still tasted good. The smoked salmon probably isnât the best choice to add though because nothing really balances its saltiness out.
Their hash brown is good. Get it by itself or as part of a brekkie dish.
I had such a delicious brunch here đ
The food here is super delicious and the cafe interior is also very relaxing.
I had the smashed avo dish - the balsamic glaze was so delicious.
and I also really wanted to try the delicious looking pastries đ
Everything was super fresh and flavourful and Iâll definitely be back!
This very large and beautifully fitout cafe offers fare that's just as pretty. Mister and Miss is the perfect place for (relatively) fresh and fruity fare. You can't go wrong with a lazy Sunday brunch of pancakes and colourful juices and smoothies. The venue is a bit off the beaten path but worth the journey over.
Every time had a long waiting on weekend. Is a good place in this area. We ordered backed egg with chorizo was really good, also ordered chorizo omelet. Coffee just okay.
Havenât found a nice cafe for awhile. Place and foods quality are so good! Tasty, good portion with a reasonable price! Definitely I will come back again :)
Always a delight to eat at Mister and Miss.
The place is very spacious, space for families and big groups. Can sometimes get very busy on weekends, so I would suggest making a booking if you plan on coming!
Food is yummy, and good value.
We went to this local cafe on a Sunday morning, the place was packed. We liked the atmosphere and food we ordered. The services was good. The food were delicious......
Had breakfast here yesterday with a large group and the food was fantastic. The coffee is good as well. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend this place.
The staff was very friendly and the cafe has got nice atmosphere. We sat on the outside area which was nice. The meal was great and kid friendly place to go. Iced coffee was delicious.
Almond latte
- An adorable design on the top
- Without sugar, it is a little bitter at the top of the coffee, perhaps because of the foam. But the flavour is very creamy
- Went quite early so the atmosphere was very cool and relaxing . The interior is very nice and inviting. The toilets were very modernised and clean, which can be such an underated thing.
- The French toast overall was extremely delicious. The bread itself was very fluffy, but by itself it is pretty plain. Luckily you have cinnamon apple, walnuts, desiccated coconut and maple syrup to spice it up. The apples were very sweet and as a result, I didnât add the maple syrup, as I was worried it would be too sweet. It you are worried about that too, order the syrup on the side, which will allow you to make the sweetness to your liking
The combination of the sweet, soft apples paired with the crunch of the walnuts was perfect, as it changed up the taste for each bite. As a result, the taste is not repetitive, which can happen sometimes, especially for sweet dishes.
The meal was very filling, but despite eating two slices of the toast plus a heap of toppings, it was not heavy nor did it make you feel sick from it being sweet.
- I tried a bit of the potato hash and it was very crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. It tasted similar to a McDonaldâs hash brown, but less oily and with more crunch to it
Cool decor and feel. I loved the extensive options for breakfast, there is a huge variety to tantalise a sweet or savoury palate. Coffee was nice and customer service was genuine. Looking forward to returning and trying more on the menu!
I can see why this is a local favourite. The food is super homey and done well. The coffee and chai are both great too, and the staff are really friendly. My only criticism is that it gets really overwhelmingly loud at lunch when it is busy but understandable given how great the food is.

One of my favourite brunch spots! Mister and Miss offers one of the largest ranges of brunch menus around and all the dishes Iâve tried so far have been delicious! The classics such as pancakes, eggs benny and French toast are done really well. Other favourites include the calamari and beautiful thin crusted pizzas. The seating is very spacious and service is wonderful. I truly canât find much to fault. Everyone should visit this wonderful cafe!
Mister and Miss cafe in Surrey hills. It is a popular cafe in that area and always busy during lunch time. It is a good value with large portion. Love the lamb salad and waygu beef burger. Definitely will go back to try other dishes.
Decided to come here upon a friendâs recommendation. The cafe is large and spacious, and industrial-style gives the interior a rustic vibe.
In terms of food, we tried the Mister Big, The Bake, and a special chicken salad.
We loved the variety in the Mister Big dish, and the plating was very clean. A very substantial portion size too. In terms of flavour, it really just tastes how the elements are on their own.
The Baked Eggs was my favourite dish - the eggs were cooked perfectly and extra soft. The sauce was very flavourful, and it tasted amazing when dipped with the bread.
Unfortunately the salad on special was our least favourite dish. It was quite bland and the flavours were not amazing.
During the time we came, the cafe was extremely busy, so there was a very long wait to get our order taken and for the food to arrive.
Overall, it was a decent experience, but itâs not somewhere worth to go out of your way for.
LOVE this place, nice atmosphere, best of all itâs across the road from our place, we can walk there anytime. I LOVE the calamari salad, lightly seasoned deep fried calamari with well balanced salad and with just enough dressing, I like the variety of the salad, has a bit of everything in the salad. My husband LOVE the stake sandwich, huge piece of meat, well cooked, and as everything you could hope for with a side of chips. The coffee here is pretty good too.
Very nice ambience. Very clean. Nice portions. Not too big. Eggs were good. Mr Big was quite filling - bacon and sausages were nice. Avocado crush was very refreshing. There are lots of variety with the drinks. Canât wait to try out the burgers.
Thank you to friendly locals for showing me this gem. Cold brew coffee and zucchini fritters are on point here. Their food looked great also. If you can, definitely try and get a seat out at the back for an open air feel. Food was great quality and service was very pleasant, even with the busy brunch peak hour! Iâve requested my friends take me back next time
Incredible service and fantastic food, very big servings. Been there many times now and it is my favourite cafe in the inner east region. I have tried pretty much everything and love all the dishes I tried. However, I would highly recommend the big breaky, the hash and the smashed avo and their chocolate milkshake is one of the best. A must try for brunch lovers. Be aware that there may be a queue over the weekends and peak times.
Great location in Surrey hills
Food and drinks served in a very creative format
Staff are quirky and friendly
Wait time isnât an issue as these guys are punctual
5 stars ! Great cafe
This is a lovely cafe fusing suburban niceties with an industrial rustic style.
The coffee is excellent. Service is enthusiastic and attentive. The food is Mediterranean inspired and does not disappoint.
An all round Melbournian cafe - give it a go!
Very busy cafe but well worth the wait in the line. The place is buzzing and the food is great. We both ordered the crispy salmon and it had a great sauce.
Food is good as usual. We came here with friends and have a very good time here, service is good as well. And we ordered long black and chatea, fantastic. There is one thing, we were asked to go in 20 minutes as we almost finished, because our table Is booked. We understood however there are still a lot of spaces to sit down
Nice ambience. We tried the brekkie burger and the baked eggs. Potato hash was on the plain side and a little burnt.
Baked eggs was quite nice and flavoursome.
Restaurant is huge however when the sun doesnât shine, indoor seating it a bit dark for a brunch date.
Ordered the
soft shell crab burger:
Chips and accompanying sauces were delicious, burger wasnât too difficult to eat and crab was crunchy and crispy, wouldâve liked a bit more âcrabâ flavour though.
Pancakes:
Super fruity, tasted healthy and delicious
Pancakes were cooked well but rather simple in flavour
Wagyu beef burger:
It was a delicious burger but then again, falls short of exceptional.
Mister Big (big breakfast):
Extremely large portion, however required another slice of bread. Tasty however, the grease in the food kind of built up as you ate more of it.
Good brunch spot with delicious food but a little overhyped
I ordered the French toast and it was excellent. Coffee also excellent. I assumed it was Axil. Service was friendly and quick. Lovely decor. I will be back.
One of the best salads I have eaten in Melbourne. Amazing brunch and lunch options with scrumptious choices. Our salads were so large we couldnât even finish half of it! Would definitely recommend and go back!
Very welcoming. The atmosphere was great. It was busy but the service was great and food came out in good time. We loved the food - great portions and so good!!! I've already told people about this place. We'll be back đ

Would highly recommend this cafe- delicious food with a great range, definitely something for everyone. This is alongside a beautiful venue indoor and outdoor and lovely staff.
This is our favourite breakfast spot. Service is always exceptional and the staff really take time to get to know their customers & their orders. We always feel welcome when we drop in and love the food as well. Keep up the good work team!
I have eaten at Mister and Miss a number of times since it opened and have always had a great meal. Although it is a large space, it is always busy so make a booking or be prepared to wait for a table. the servings are very generous, with some terrific salads, burgers and larger dishes. This place runs like a well oiled machine and service is excellent. Great coffee, terrific open industrial feel (Can be a little noisy at times) and a good outdoor area with heaters. The biggest difficulty here is parking, with restrictions in nearby streets so allow for this. Well worth a visit for lunch.
Fantastic food and attentive staff in a modern and tasteful decor. There's nothing I could fault about the dining experiences at this establishment.
Love the vibes and food at this spacious, unassuming cafe in Surrey Hills. Perfect place for brunch, I couldnât fault any of the dishes we ordered. Very well done, servings were generous and service was attentive. Though we loved all the dishes we ordered, my personal favourite which I would recommend would be the soft shell crab burger. Perfectly done with briochĂ© bun. My only peeve is parking can be a problem on weekdays if you are taking the car, otherwise the tram stop isnât too far.
This was such a good find for me!!! Bought something off Gumtree from someone who lives nearby but got to the area earlier than agreed so I just decided to drop in for a quick brunch and kill time, I ended up really enjoying my meal! The coffee the good, but nothing special- however the Crushed Avo with bacon was to die for!! Everything cooked perfectly and the radicchio was such a yummy and refreshing touch.
Have come back a few times since, dispite me living in Wyndham Vale!!! The long drive is worth it. I just wish there was parking available nearby (instead of looking for street parking).
Always love popping over to my local for a delicious feed!
Great service and consistently good food too.
Has a great following in the area as there isnât many establishments dishing up the quality of food that this place does.
Visited the Surrey Hills area and found this nice cafe. Yummy food and good coffee here! Service was reasonable, had to wait a bit for food, but other than that was quite a pleasant experience!
The grilled pumpkin salad I had here (to which I added smoked salmon) was one of the best salads I've had in recent times. My gf got the Thai beef salad which wasn't bad either. Really exciting menu here and looking forward to coming back.
Quite a nice place to have a quick brekkie. Ordered the smashed avocado đ„ with poached eggs and it came with a high tower of purple cabbage(?) and hidden beneath are asparagus and cherry tomatoes. The egg is perfectly poached and it was a generous serving of smashed avo and feta. I quite enjoyed it but it might need another small pinch of salt to lift the flavours a bit more.
Kiddo really enjoyed his eggs on toast, and love the juice with watermelon and pineapple.
I also ordered a weak soy mocha and had this beautiful chocolate tone through it.
I love this cafe! Such a local gem. The serving sizes are massive, and everything tastes amazing! The coffee here is great, and the service is friendly. The owner is such a funny and kind man! Definitely recommend!
Went there three times already! Nice coffees and lots of healthy options. Make sure to avoid peak hours when you go in haha. Deserts are delightful too. High recommended!
Was invited by a friend, what a surprise, great huge place to have an amazing cafe lunch, have returned numerous times to try their lovely dishes
Nice environment with lots of seats. Services and food are also good. There are many options for coffee, but the service is a bit slow, the coffee is not hot enough, and the top layer of milk foam has become very rough.
Food:4/5
Price:4/5
Coffee:2.5/5
Service:3.5/5
Ambience:4/5
This is by far my favourite brunch spot in the eastern suburbs! Great atmosphere, delicious food and generous serving sizes! I highly recommend 'The Bake'. It can get quite busy on weekends, so make sure you book!
The portion here huge, the food is good and the price is really reasonable. Please be aware of long queue though during weekends. The place is huge and it's good for hangout during weekend as well.
Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and a great menu.
Does get very busy but the wait isnât long as they are constantly moving.
Highly recommend!

A cafĂ© needs to be so much: the first morning conversation, the business meeting room, the grandkids outing, the office for the sole trader⊠and they should serve food and coffee as well. Mister + Miss seems to have all these roles down pat. Use it as you will, the staff will stay out of your way but professionally give you everything you want. Whilst I groaned at the strained conversation of the business meeting next to me (the boss trying to impress, the employee trying to stay awake and hold her tongue â I try not to eavesdrop, I promise), families at the other end of the cafĂ© were laughing and playing games with their young kids. This is a space. The deliciousness of what is on offer is incidental.
Favourite local - I've been here many times and have loved it every time. I always bring my friends from out of town here because I know they'll do Melbourne proud. Delicious food and drinks in very generous portions, and no matter how busy it is I've never had to wait for a seat.
A hustle and bustle place with attentive staff. Coffee for me was slightly burnt but the froth was nice and smooth. We had the big breakfast consisting of egg, bacon, sautĂ©ed spinach and mushroom, tomato, mini sausages, hash brown and a toast. Although the hash brown wasnât freshly cooked, quite crispy on the outside, the mushroom and tomato was beautifully cooked. Overall it was a tasty breakfast.
Fantastic atmosphere.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Food 10/10 especially for âbrunchingâ - smashed avocado
Have returned many times and have always been happy with the quality of the food!
Highly recommend
A nice cafe for a quick brunch or lunch. I ordered the eggs benedict which was delicious and service was relatively nice and quick. Food was great and price was good.Â
Overall was a pleasant experience - expected from a good brunch / lunch place but nothing too 'amazing' that would make me put it on a rating of 5.
Returned here for brunch and noticed they changed the interior furniture with a contemporary vibe. We enjoyed the pulled pork Benedict burger which was delicious. I got the chicken schnitzel which was thick and had an interesting flavour of salad, I probably wouldnât order this again. We looked at our neighbouring table who got the smashed avo which looked amazing. A case of what other people order looks better
Really love this place. Great food, generous servings and well priced! The service is amazing and always really friendly staff. Will be back for sure!
Best brunch spot. Love their salads. Prompt service and so many options for kids. Will come back to try beef salads & fresh juices. I moved to Melbourne a year ago and wish I knew this place earlier as itâs quite close from where I live.
Itâs not the first time #ToFeedTwo have come to Mister and Miss Cafe but itâs the first time we decided to take a photo before eating our food. We came on a busy Saturday morning and were situated on the mini tables / stools to the side of the restaurant.
We started with a cappuccino and a camomile tea. Both of us sadly didnât enjoy our drinks. The coffee was weak & lukewarm and the tea had a strong cinnamon like taste to it.
However, redemption was in the food!
We ordered the Eggs Benny w/ chorizo and the Baked Eggs w/ halloumi. The Baked Eggs was a large serve but only came with 1 slice of bread. Given the size of the dish, it probably needed 2 slices. The dish itself was full of flavour and definitely one for tomato lovers. The halloumi was a perfect addition. The Eggs Benny was a simple dish done right, with soft flavoursome ham and the best spicy chorizo found in Melbourne.
Cosy decor. I had the potato hash which was full of flavour and kept me full for hours. My friend had the pancakes which looked delicious. All dishes were very well presented and the coffee was good too.
Large space, with a courtyard that Im always grateful is heated in winter. Coffee is roasted by Axil, and they have rotating single origin beans for black coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ethiopian Adido as a long black, while my friend enjoys their chai latte as an alternative to coffee. Love the Thai Beef Salad.
Popped in today for a lunch on a cold Melbourne day. The cafe was crowded and buzzing. There were plenty of staff who were most attentive. We were offered menu and water immediately on being seated. I ordered the waghu beef steak sandwich which was generous with great hot chips. The steak was topped with bacon, egg and and mustard. My companion ordered the soft shell crab burger. We ordered coffee which was hot and good. A pleasant experience.
Two of us went to Mister and Miss Cafe for breakfast on a weekday morning. It was busy with a mix of nearby workers and local residents. I had the potato stack with poached eggs; my partner had poached eggs on sourdough.
Review:
(a) The service for the price range could not be faulted. The waiter and coffee team were excellent in every way - 5/5
(b)Â The decor was high quality and clearly a lot has been spent on the interior and also the tables/cutlery etc. (4/5)
(c) The coffee was fantastic. The food was good; there were a couple of things that could be improved. The poached eggs on both dishes still had a scent of vinegar from the poaching liquid and the potato stack rösti could have been thinner/easier to eat. This is a fad across Melbourne, so this cafe is not the only one guilty of it, however I do not see how a massive pansy flower that should have its own postcode contributes to a breakfast dish; microherbs would have been more appropriate for a garnish (if at all!) 3.5/5
Overall:Â 4.0
A very well run place. Large and spacious with a variety of table options - large group, table for 2, outdoors, high window table. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was lovely. Great vibe - busy but able to get a table. On a busy road so parking can be tricky.
Ordered the âmister bigâ, âthe schnitz, and the âsoft shell crab burgerâ; honestly, one of the best cafes Iâve been to, the price for these delicious meals is unexpected! The staff however, some are quite clueless (probably because theyâre new), while others know what theyâre doing. The interior design is quite modern (very instagramableđ), but it is quite stuffy for such a nice place. The mister big wasnât anything special. Usually I hate eating coleslaw, but their coleslaw, on the chicken schnitzel, was irresistible!!! It includes apple, purple cabbage and normal cabbage, and together itâs quite sweet, the chicken is savoury so they balance each other very wellđ their soft shell crab burger was probably my favourite dish! The crab isnât battered heavily, so it isnât too overpoweringly heavy, and the bun, I think, is brioche so itâs sweet and fluffyđ

A lovey late brunch here today with my boyfriend who eats A LOT.... The service was fast & friendly (and also a bit skeptical if we could finish as much as we ordered, which we did!) The atmosphere inside was lovely, with a nice modern decor. The soy flat white I ordered & the banana smoothie my boyfriend ordered were both very nice. The food itself was very tasty. I really enjoyed the Mister Benedict I ordered, which had nicely smoked ham, beautifully poached eggs & delicious sauce to top it off. I had one bite of my boyfriends Wagyu beef burger, which was very tasty & juicy. The Miss Margarita was probably my least favourite part of the experience, as it left a funny metallic taste in my mouth & quite plain. Overall, the whole experience/menu was great
Beautiful ambience, very busy even mid morning during the week. Food was delicious and presentation was beautiful. Portion sizes are very generous. Lots of choices for all dietary requirements. Coffee was also good. The only thing was, service could be a bit slow. Waiters focusing on what they were doing, so was very hard to get their attention. I had to wave my hands a few times to get someone to come to take our orders.
Have been to this cafe a few times now and itâs no wonder itâs always busy - the food is delicious! The service isnât compromised because itâs popular and Iâve never had to wait long for a table. I would highly recommend, both breakfast and lunch menus are tasty and the sweets look fantastic - will be trying them next time I visit!
A really cosy place for brunch. The outdoor seating is all enclosed which is perfect for wet and cold weather. Everything around the cafe is so nice to look at - rustic industrial setting.
The coffee was good, not the best that I've tasted though. I had the hash with mushroom and poached eggs. I love it. Looks small in portion but I think it's just right. There's two poached eggs so that filled me up!
Partner ordered the big breakkie, and I loved their sausage. It's nicely seasoned. I didn't try the other parts of the dish. But it was definitely filling for him!
We went with our friends who had a child. They seated us on a four people table and a high chair. A little squishy but we were able to fit everything on the table. Service was fast. Would recommend this for a catch up with friends and family.
Absolute gem! Lovely and prompt service, food is delicious, great atmosphere with a cosy but clean cut feel. Varied and interesting menu with loads of gluten free options, beautifully plated. Definitely worth a visit.
