Really, really good service from lovely staff. Equally good fresh food, value for money. Thanks for making my son's birthday dinner amazing! Definitely going back.
Friendly service. Great food. My regular hang out joint.
Amazing KBQ foods..! Love the staffs they are so helpful and so nice, will come back and intro this place to friends and family.
Awesome food and super friendly staff! ļæ½
Absolutely awesome. Great service and be prepared for food orgasms.
Service was fantastic. Food was amazing. Will definitely be back.
deliciius and fresh food. Excellent service.
Spectacular food and service. Had a Great evening. Box Hill has just gotten even better! Congrats Miss Korea BBQ Melbourne! We'll definitely be back for more!
It is the best meal in box Hill by far. Tried many. You want find a better meal. Value for money. The best experience. Food's fantastic. Thumbs up!
I dare say this restaurant is a beautiful place for gourmets. The food is literally perfect and practically perfect as well. I visit here every single week on weekend. Every when i decide to go there, I should make a reservation as it is a busy place. I strongly recommend u visit here and I bet you will be a regular customer like me. Amazing meat, friendly staff 10/10 would recommend
I drive past this place (located on the busy corner of Elgar and Whitehorse Roads) very often and I can always hear and smell their distinctive Korean BBQ!
Together with a Korean friend and her family we ventured there on a cold, wet and dreary Melbourne winter Sunday evening. The very friendly waitress helpfully directed us to the parking while confirming our booking.
The food was generally of a high standard. We opted for a Wagyu beef set and beef set which were efficiently cooked at the table by the waitresses. Each set is designed to feed 2 people but easily fed the 9 of us. We supplemented the Korean BBQ with Korean Fried Chicken Wings (to die for), grilled mackarel, japchae and of course the obligatory Korean side dishes which included kimchi, steamed egg, pickled radish and lotus root. We'll be back.
Here's my previous review:
We always love coming to Miss Korea. The food is always fresh and tasty. The service is always warm and friendly. I think they have the best Korean Fried Chicken in Melbourne ..... that honey soy sauce is addictive! If you are parking next door you can get a free parking ticket from the waiter or waitress.
the environment is beautiful. a very large amount of sides dishes are given and the workers are nice. they cook everything for you unless requested otherwise.
we got the $80 set and it was more than expected; could possibly feed 4 people and not 2 people xd
would recommend this place for small groups as the portions are very big
I been there with friends on weekend dinner. We order too much for meat. If you have more than 3ppl together can order the set menu. Include beef and pork. Provide soup rice as well. Good choice!
Miss Korea BBQ has trendy decor and comfortable seating. The staff were attentive and helped us BBQ in a non obstructive way. We ordered the set menu with both beef and pork but also wanted to try the famed KFC wings. I canāt recommend the food enough, with big portions of sides and good quality meat. Standard BBQ items The kimchi was slightly unusual, fresher perhaps but tasty. Canāt wait to go again.
One of my Korean friend recommended this restaurant. I finally get to try it out today.
It is traditional well presented Korean restaurant. I am sure all Korean will love this place
All staffs are very friendly.
owner and chef are very professional for Korean foods
Quality of beef was great, juicy, fresh and melt in the mouth.
Kimch soup is the best.
All side dishes are fresh and tasty.
I really like a fresh kimch which just made in freshness
I will definitely back here again
I rated this place 5 for many reasons.
Price - value for money and generous potion.
Service - friendly, fast and very attentive
Food - fresh, fast, tasty and very good quality of meat
Atmosphere - warm, relaxing and morden
My best favourite korean restaurant
You must try this restaurant
One of the best korean BBQ restaurant in melbourne.
Iāve been for dinner out with 4 friends.
Meat was very fresh, tender and melted in mouth.
It is not smoky, good atmosphere, quality of meat was the best with generous serving.
All staffs are very friendly
I will definitely back here again
The Restaurant is surprisingly well set up despite the understated exterior. The sizes of the side dishes were larger than some of the korean bbq places we had been. The grilled fish was delicious. We ordered the regular beef set. We were given 1.5 sirloin steak. It was nice but a little chewy. The beef belly was also nice if you donāt mind the fatty bits. The marinated beef ribs was my least favourite as it was too sweet and the marinate was not too pleasurable. We also ordered korean chicken wings (a must at any korean restaurant). The wings was crispy as we asked for the sauce on the side. It turned out to be a good idea as the garlic soy sauce was also very sweet. Service was nice. Will return to try other non BBQ menu items.
Ordered combination set with prawns. Meat has good quality and side dishes were good too. Place is clean and staff are organised in terms of serving food and grilling the bbq.
Miss Korea BBQ offers value for money Korean cuisine. We visited the restaurant on a Friday night and it was surprisingly not very busy. AMBIENCE- The moment the manager opened the door we could immediately smell the mouth-watering aroma of freshly-cooked meat. We were then ushered to our table, which had a decent distance from the rest and the chairs were very comfortable. The restaurant had an āindustrialā vibe to it and you could tell that it was well-maintained. The only criticism I had is that they only have one restroom. FOOD- We ordered their famous BEEF SET priced at $85 (good for two). The set includes: thinly sliced beef belly, scotch fillet and marinated LA Galbi and some sides. We waited less than 10minutes for the entreĆ© to be served and the serving size were decent. It came with the 3 dipping sauce, corn with cheese that was not greasy, kimchi that was freshly made, pickled radish and kimchi soup that was not overpoweringly spicy. The fish was just a tad salty on the skin otherwise perfectly cooked. The beef belly and galbi were delicate and flavourful but the scotch fillet was a bit bland on its own, I recommend it with ssamjang. SERVICE- The staff including the manager were very helpful. They helped us cook the meat and they were quick to anticipate and respond to our needs and we were given plenty of time to order our meals. I highly recommend the restaurant to everyone, whether its for a family dinner or just a pre-night out party with group of friends.
Good place for bbq and has its own parking space. Limited choice of the menu. The BBQ actually worse than the sit and wine but the hot pot is better than that one. Highly recommend hot pot and the grilled fish.
I went here once with my family and the food was amazing. The meat in the beef and pork set was so tender and tasty. BUT I came here again to celebrate my friend's 18th and the beef set meat was really tough. It seemed as if they gave us the worst cut of meat they had, with heaps of fat. Not really impressed with the food quality despite the inviting aesthetics of the restaurant and the generous food portions.

Having been here a few times with family and friends, we always get great service and the food is top notch! Service staff are always friendly and polite, and cook the food to perfection and to your liking. The quantity of food is very generous, often the beef set for 2 is shared amongst 3 of us. One of my favourite places to dine at!
On a cold Saturday night, Miss Korean BBQ provided us with a perfect meal set that tasted wonderful and also made us so very full! We ordered the pork set, with honey mint tea. It wasn't busy when we arrived, the staff were all so super friendly, we felt very welcomed. You all should 100% order the honey mint tea, when I took the first sip I was overwhelmed at how smooth, hearty yet refreshing it tasted, it is by far the best tea I have ever had! The meat tasted tender and flavoursome while the sides blended well with the meat such as the kimichi stew and the salad. There were sauces provided to us, in one portion there was a green powder which I believe it was matcha powder. I thought it was strange but I was curious also, so I dipped the pork belly into the powder and ever since then my world has changed. It was absolutely the perfect match, the perfect balance that it melted in my mouth!
That's not all, in the set you are also provided with Mackerel. The waitress saw me struggling with picking out the bones so she offered to debone the fish for me which was so generous and kind of her !
At the end of the night we were left feeling so happy with how we spent our night, the lollies provided at the till are great as well! 100% will be coming back here !
Drive past all the time, thought we might stop and try this time. Luckily we did. Great tasting food, great service. Had the combo bbq and KFC, very filling for 2 people. Bit pricier then some Korean BBQ. Parking next door is a pay parking, but just grab a ticket from Miss Korea, no need to pay. Would go back again. One draw back is that it can get a bit smoky, so probably won't bring the younger kids.
I and my boyfriend come here for the seafood hotpot occasionally, it is so good especially for this cold weather. The waiter and the owner always make us feel very welcomed and provide excellent services. Nice food and nice atmosphere. Love it here :) x
Excellent service - funky, industrial decor. Very tasty food and plenty for two people. Easy free parking (@zomato not everyone wants to write 140 characters)
Very happy with the dishes, would suggest a slight improvement on the sauces available. As I actually prefer most of the other Korean BBQ sauces.
There strong point is the side dishes which are supplied, is miles ahead of what most others offer.
price is ok but most people realise what they will be in for with KBBQ which is usually aroundĀ 35-45 a head
Before getting to the food, I must mention we nearly left here without sitting down. My Daughter booked a table for 7 through the Zomato app for my significant milestone birthday.
We arrived promptly at 6:30 and were told we had no booking. We were told the wait would be an hour. Given the choice available in Box Hill, we were not prepared to wait that long. We were about to leave when they said another booking had not turned up.. Coincidentally, for a party of 7. We were shown to the table, right near the front door and found my daughters phone number on a ticket taped to the booth. It appears they didn't understand or receive my Daughters name properly, but they didn't call to see why we apparently hadn't turned up. A bit "Fawlty Towers" really and they really need to have a look at that administratively.
That "Fawlty Towers" impression kinda continued for the next 30 minutes at least where the staff were running around everywhere and achieving pretty much nothing. It was pretty pointless trying to flag anyone down to ask if we could order a drink because dropping below the speed of sound at the table would have caused a hell of a sonic boom.
Eventually someone looked our way, and saw perplexed looks on 7 faces. We took our chance and ordered pretty much everything!
Now, on the menu they have a selection of BBQ options. These are all prices for "two". What to do when you are 7? There are no BBQ banquet options for a group and I find that really strange considering Korean BBQ is something you want to do as a larger group. As a result, we ordered 3 of the "BBQ for 2" options and several other dishes because we really didn't know what to do, despite having done this in Korea and Hong Kong and Singapore etc.
The "Fawlty Towers" comedy continued for a while longer with 2 incorrect dishes coming to our table almost immediately. THEN they got their act together and some serious food started coming out... Mountains of it.
By this time they had apparently figured out we were the party that actually made the reservation, so maybe they were feeling a little generous. I don't know, but man it looked like we seriously over ordered.
So, how was the food? Fresh. Really really fresh. I'm honestly not much of a seafood fan unless it's directly out of the Ocean, but I was eating squid. I NEVER eat squid. There were so many dishes and condiments on the table we simply could not move one thing to get to another and they were all awesome, so this is where Miss Korea shines.
The wait staff will try to help you cook the BBQ. I don't like that normally, but here it was fine. Let them help. Let them show you how and just enjoy it.
I didn't see the tab to know the price of the meal, but the wife said that it was very reasonable. I have to take her at her word.
On the whole, it was a very enjoyable experience. I give it 7 out of 5 for the food but I had to take off 3 out of 5 for the organisational debacle at the beginning. I can do that because it is as silly as the service.
I hope they get their service act together because everything else is awesome.
Great Korean BBQ place. Lovely staff, Great atmostphere, amazing food. Highly recommend trying the BBQ set for two. But make sure you are hungry. šš
We always have great service when we come here, the food is amazing and we can cook the meat to the degree we specifically like, one of our new fave's! We love coming here on Friday night's :)
We had the korean bbq sets. The fish was amazing, however, the soup was lacking flavour. The marinated meats were nicely marinated. It was flavourful. Love the atmosphere and the deco of the place. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. Will consider going back again.
Had a great gathering dinner there, ordered a beef set with extra pork belly and veggies. The set itself was quite filling. The salad comes with the BBQ set was a spot on, the beef slices and ribs were marinated in descent favour. Sadly the pan they used to cook the steak was not as strong which result in less tasty. Overall experience was alright, highly recommend a group of 3+ to enjoy more food variety :)
My favourite BBQ in Melb!!
The meat is very juicy, and the meat is very good and fresh compared to the ones served in other BBQ restaurants (especially the ones in the city).
The set is really nice, comes with lots of side dishes including salad, kimchi soup, and the corn cheese. Also they have some other small side dishes that you can refill! The beef scotch fillet is really good and the staff cooked the meat for us. Also, the marinated pork was really nice as well.
This place is great because their a la carte menu is great as well. You can see that they put in a lot of effort into the dishes. The Beef Bibimbap I recommend!
Thank you guys for such a lovely time!!
We returned 7 months later, ordered pretty much the same meal, and came away feeling the same about the place. Highly recommended.

We came here on a whim for dinner. Ordered the BBQ set for two and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will definitely return, but order a la carte in future. The set was probably too much food for the two of us.

Was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Had 1 BBQ set and also the fried chicken and omelette a la carte between four of us. Food was plentiful and delicious. Will definitely be back. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very cool place inside, nicely decorated. Service was good, good was delicious. I wouldn't order the Wagyu again tho... Was a bit Chewy and not worth the price, tasted like Coles steak. Otherwise everything else was good. Would go again!
I really enjoyed the food! They had vegetarian options and the bim bim bap was really nice! One of the better Korean BBQ around the area! Definitely hit up this place- good vibes, good service and good food :)
Really nicely decorated and set up. Very impressive!
Service was good and helpful. The meat was excellent and the sides work well. It is a bit pricey I think but all in all very pleasant experience.
A nice surprise of this fairly new Korean BBQ restaurant in Box Hill. We ordered from the a la carte menu. KFC wings was great and juicy, seafood pancake was full of fresh chunky seafood :p. Pork and squid bulgogi on hot plate cooking at the table was the highlight as the flavours were so well balanced. Great service as well. Will definitely go back again!
Heyyyy its gooood!!!
Pork wasnt hard like most of the city bbqs. Side dishes were tasty and the kimchi is made fresh in house. Chicken is gami equivalent, we got the garlic soy and omg it was good. Service is great!!! And like all the other reviews, its super clean!!! Coming back again and bringing more people!
The flavours were lovely and the service was great. Our table had the BBQ and individual meals and everyone really enjoyed them. Loved the decor especially the donkey/horse theme. Will be back.
Great new restaurant... very clean and great service. Went here last night and was super impressed!! After reading the reviews below we weren't to sure weather to try it or not however we will defiantly go back here again!Ā All the food was super fresh, the staff were extremely helpful and the atmosphere was great. Really clean restaurant as well which is always nice compared to some other Korean BBQ places in Box Hill.
Casual buffet, clean environment, fresh produce to cook yourself, precooked hot meals, sauces, salads, and basic desserts. Time limit of 1.5hours. Good fun for kids, $38/per head
I've been to many Korean BBQ restaurants. Miss Korea BBQ is definitely one of the best I've had the pleasure of having a meal at, certainly in Melbourne! It's a family own restaurant where the owners are very hands on to ensure their guests have a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and attentive and allowed us to cook our food in a timely manner and at no time felt rushed, the food was amazing, in particular the steak, extremely tender and succulentš there was definitely enough food so that you didn't leave feeling hungry. Good job guys, will certainly go back time and time again

I've came here before and just LOVED it, so this time I took my friends with me. The background music was awsome, the shop owner is Korean and she is sooooooo nice! I loved the food and its just such an amazing place. Bring your friends!
Korean Restaurant in Box Hill. Very busy on a Friday night, we were lucky to get a table as we arrived early. Meal for 3 with drinks, $155. 5% discount if you pay cash. Recommend you book on known busy days. We chose a 2 person banquet called the Wagyu beef set which was huge and easily enough for 3 people ($119). Also ordered was the KFC chicken. Some of the things we loved like the kimchi soup and the Korean Fried Chicken and the kimchi. All were full of fresh and zesty flavours. The meat cooked at our table was cooked to our liking, medium, and moist and tender. Have to say though, Wagyu is very very rich and heavy and definitely not a diet food. Presentation of the substantial quantity of raw ingredients on the table was attractive and colourful. The various wait staff were attentive but not particularly friendly appearing, only speaking when spoken to and with very brief answers. We did explain at the start that we had never had this style of food before and weren't quite sure how things worked. No explanations forthcoming except that its cooked at the table. When cooking staff just left the table, it was a whilst before we realised food was cooked, and ready to eat as their was no confirmation that cooking was done. Quite a few of the items presented were new to us and we had no idea what to do with them like the Lotus, Corn Cheese a salty custard and a grilled whole fish. Food was good and reasonably priced for the generous quantities we received. Parking is available at the back for a limited number of cars. Entry either from Elgar or Whitehorse Rd. We certainly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. It would be nice if wait staff had better training for guests not familiar with this style of dining.
Fresh, clean and yummy with happy service from friendly team - so much to enjoy at Miss Korea BBQ - Iāll be back!
