Just picked up some pizzas for the first time at this place and all I can say is about time a good pizza place opened up in our area!
This will be our go to pizza place as of tonight!
Way better than Gradi and DOC.
Grazie!
Amazing food. Really friendly service. Definitely recommend
We had a delicious dinner last night! The seafood linguine, the John Dory and the rocket salad - absolutely beautiful! We shared the mini donuts with a berry sauce and ice cream -yum
Everything about this restaurant is AMAZING!!
The food, the atmosphere and the staff are all beautiful.
I visited Montibello for my graduation dinner with 8 other family members who all enjoyed themselves.
We tried:
- Salumi Board
- Polpette
- Crocchette
- Calamari Fritti
- Arancini
- Fish of the day
- Calzone
- Risotto
- Cotoletta
- Variety of Pizzas
All dishes we're great and I wish I had more right now.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner Montibello 😘😘
What an absolute Italian afternoon delight 😱❤️ I was channeling my I-tal ancestors as I ordered pretty much everything on the menu. I cannot fault the dishes. Not only that... THE SPRITZ! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🤤🤤🤤
NEVER skip dessert tho. Italians do it best 💁♀️
Located in Montmorency, is a new Italian restaurant called Montibello. A cosy layout with nice large windows all around. We were invited along to Montibello to experience their Italian cuisine. Browsing through their menu we chose to start off with the Salumi Board (for 2) with added buffalo mozzarella and a glass of Pinot Noir each. It was a lovely board of tasty meats, cheeses and house-made specialities. For our mains, we chose the Ravioli pasta dish and the Zucca pizza. Both dishes were delicious. To finish off our lovely meals we chose the Panacotta with vanilla and orange and The Sfinci which are fried Sicilian donuts. They were both very yummy. The donuts were our fave.
We thank Montibello for having us. We experienced Montibello as guests, and all of our opinions are genuine and are based on our experience at the time of our visit.
Following on from the success of their local café, Espresso 3094, husband and wife Alex and Cathy Kamvissis decided to open Montibello Pizze and Pasta Bar. Noticing a lack of authentic Italian cuisine in the area, the couple gathered inspiration from Cathy’s Italian heritage to create their own Australian-Italian venue on an unassuming corner facing the Montmorency train station.
Montibello was packed to the rafters when we visited mid week. With top quality, classic and affordable Italian food it’s easy to see why this Montmorency newcomer is becoming a real hit with the locals.
Delicious food, great service and amazing atmosphere. Officially my favourite pizza in Monty!!!!
The interior is so stunning too and most importantly the food is sooooo great!
The brainchild of Cathy and Alex, this place runs like a well oiled machine. No surprise given the duo run one of Montmorency’s busiest brunch spots - Espresso 3094. True to their Mediterranean roots, the pair are feeders, which means they’re passionate about good food that leaves you feeling satisfied and fulfilled. The same ethos applies at Montibello, a true culinary gift for their extended local family in Monty.
The kitchen is in safe hands under the guidance of head chef, Franco Italia (yes that’s really his last name). Franco was born and bred in Sicily and has an impressive career which spans across top restaurants like SUD, Carmines Bistro and Centonove. At Montibello Franco focuses on refining “Casa Linga” or Italian home-style cooking
Since hubby and I came back from Europe we have been craving Italian food. And boy we were sooooo excited to have found this beautiful little restaurant. It felt like we have step back in time to our honeymoon in Italy.
Montibello is well loved by the locals, so make sure to book!!! The food is amazing food! I especially loved the ravioli and all the desserts!
The service was genuine and the atmosphere reminded me of the cute restaurants in Europe, even on a VERY busy night the waitress and owner had to time chat with customers and have a joke. There has to be a good culture among the staff as every seem to be enjoying working here and the customer service was at a high standard. I highly rate Montibello and I can’t wait to visit again!
We came here early as we knew how busy it will get. It’s a very popular place and boy did it not disappoint. We just came back from Italy earlier this year and we really missed the authentic cuisines and culture. Montibrllo’s food and customer service brought all the memories back from our Italy trip with their authentic Italian food and hospitable customer service even when they were full house. We can’t wait to come back to try all the food on the menu!!! Highly recommend and definitely will be back.
Montibello Eatery is Montmorency’s newest hotspot. Located at the bottom of Were Street in an enviable corner position, it’s also right opposite the train station. We visited on a Thursday night & it was a full house. The interior is elegant & simple, highlighting a large selection of wines & drinks. There was a real buzz about the place, only 5 weeks old, filled with customers and the smells coming from the kitchen were incredible.
The menu was extensive & impressive, we needed suggestions & ordered dishes to share. The staff were very knowledgeable about the dishes & so warm & friendly.
We started with the mussels, served with homemade focaccia to sop up all the liquid. The mussels were plump, fresh & perfectly cooked with a delicious broth of chilli, garlic, parsley, basil & Napoli sauce. We absolutely loved this dish & it seemed very popular with other diners too. We also tried the caprese salad which was a lovely light accompaniment to the mussels & our mains.
I can’t resist linguine marinara if it’s on the menu & this one was sensational. The perfect balance of chilli, garlic & parsley with al dente pasta & a generous amount of seafood. We both really enjoyed this dish. The pizza looked impressive on tables nearby so we tried the capricciosa, the toppings were quality & the crust was thin & light.
The chef insisted on us trying a dessert & recommended the sfinci, fried Sicilian doughnuts, drizzled with vincotto & a strawberry salad. A perfect ending to our meal.
We were so impressed with the food & service at Montibello, a fantastic team & an already popular place in a short time. I’d highly recommend checking it out but make sure you book in advance. Thanks so much for having us & your warm hospitality.
Great local place with lovely staff and great food ! Had a wonderful meal with friends, everything was spot on 👍
The polenta chips were unlike any I’ve had, very tasty and crispy. The seafood pasta cooked Aldente was divine. I will be returning and look forward to trying pizza they looked delicious !
Finally got a table at Montibello and it was well worth the wait 😊 We had the entree calamari fritti and mussels and they were both delicious. Mains we had spaghetti carbonara (done the traditional way) and it was devine, the mushroom ravioli was very tasty.
For dessert we had the coffee Panna Cotta which had the perfect wiggle to it and taste and the tiramisu was delicious! We'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu 😎
Just had a meal for my wife’s birthday here. The food was excellent. Paired back as you would expect from Italian cuisine. Great flavors, and classic pizza. The staff were welcoming and attentive even though it was full. A great addition to weir St. And the out door seating is bound to be a hit through the summer.
New and a hidden treasure! Great food (including the best pizza EVER!, really yum gnocchis and pasta, awesome desserts... shall I go on?, good wine list matched with food), staff are super friendly and attentive, kitchen is fast. Really nice atmosphere. Have been there twice, this is our new favourite place!
Nice place with superb service. The lasagna was great and the pizzas were a little too salty and could be baked for a little longer, what would have helped them not to be less soggy... but cannot fault the quality of ingredients or taste (besides the amount of salt). The service was more than great, it was warm, friendly and our waitress was constantly checking on our group and making all to make us welcome and comfortable.
The place is also well located and there are plenty of parking and close to public transport. The restaurant was very clean but very noisy. Overall a great experience.
New fave local! Staff are so friendly and attentive, service is superb and the food is delicious. Will be back and highly recommend!
Suburban Thursday night, half full which was good for this part of the world. Welcome and service excellent but we as a group of four were over serviced and felt rushed to make decisions on all selections. Meals were nice but the Calamari dish was disappointing, far too many McDonald like chips and insufficient salad. Felt pushed to leave by 9pm just saying…
Had an excellent seafood risotto here along with a fish ravioli. Great service and authentic Italian food. The pizza chef is off at the moment though so you cannot choose from that menu. Alcohol prices also very reasonable
Exceptional atmosphere, great vibes and very helpful staff. This place has an amazing menu where the food is always fresh, delicious and there's something for everybody! It's perfect for any Italian food craving’s you might have. From the Monty Spritz to Salumi Board and the Arancini, to the Ravioli (my absolute fav) and to the Pepperoni Siciliana Pizza, it is just perfect. Top that off with a Tiramisu or Nutella Calzone (why not both) and that is one perfect dinner. Montibello Pizze & Past Bar has fast become Montmorency’s gem and I can see why. Keep up the amazing work!!
Great vibe, open atmosphere. Friendly genuine service. Lovely food. Good prices.
Went for dinner with 3 girl friends. Staff was very vigilant at making sure we checked in and checked Covid certificate. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Atmosphere not too noisy and tables were adequately spaced. Food was delicious and didn’t take long to arrive and all of ours came at the same time. I had the Arincini balls with the beetroot salad and my friends had gnocchi. No complaints from any of us and my friends are fussy eaters! Coffees were exactly as ordered. Very reasonably priced. Totally recommend
