Review Augello's - Mooloolaba

Lancia
What a lovely place for a pizza or pasta! Very yummy sand crab lasagne! The staff were beautiful and kind!! The restaurant was busy and what a view! Prime position! Lovely menu! Great value! So tasty!

Ordered hot smoked salmon for takeaway. Only salmon pizza out of the three voted world’s best pizzas can be taken away. The other two is only for dine in. If you walk in, you need to wait for a long time.

Delicious, fresh and authentic. We had dinner on the street level patio and it was lovely to watch the ocean while we enjoyed our dinner. Service was excellent and they were happy to bring the smokey chilli sauce separately for hubby's seafood pizza. My seafood linguine was perfectly balanced, and I was really able to enjoy the fresh seafood flavour without it being overwhelmed by the sauce. Highly recommend!

I’ve been visiting here many time. The scallops and prawns risotto is my all time favourite! Steak pizza was great as well. All the staff are very friendly! Enjoy our dining experience:)

I have always thought of Augello’s as a place to go for dinner. But breakfast is great as well. Something for everyone including those who like a bit of ‘spice’ in their breakfast. Food and coffee was good, the view is great as well. You can watch the ocean, the cars are the people passing by. Worth a visit.

Y U M ! Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids were warmly welcomed and very well catered for. We ordered the seafood marinara with gluten free penne, crab and prawn chilli with fettuccine. Kids had the children’s menu lasagna, bolognaise and ham cheese pizza. Everyone finished off with icecream and creme brulee. Seafood was fresh, pasta cooked to perfection and dessert was spot on. Our waiter was friendly, considerate and on time. Kids were well entertained with the drawing activity sheets and crayons provided. Thank you for such a lovely night! 😍🥂

A dinner on the verandah last night. Super lovely waiter, great specials and menu. Grabbed a bottle of Chianti and some deliciousness in the form of Prawn and scallop risotto. Oh my, big juicy prawns, fat sweet scallops just divine.
Amanda
Amazing restaurant. Friendly and accommodating staff. Gluten free options available which is a total bonus when we come up for holidays. The food is devine. And the view is gorgeous too

The Sicillian pizza is the best, the Greek salad is great and pear salad is good too the pears are sliced finely, the service is fast and friendly staff. Awesome location on the beach front, family fave for many years now. Oh the Profitaroles desert is a must have

The food was top notch the smoked salmon pizza we had was 10 out of 10. The Moroccan chicken pizza was very good to and my other daughter had the seafood pasta which she said she really enjoyed. Our waitress Mona was excellent 10 out of 10.
Pam Ruddell
We had the sand crab lasagna and the award winning duck la’orange pizza, absolutely divine. Although it was extremely busy, service was quick and professional. The desserts, profiteroles and creme brûlée, were a perfect way to finish our meal.

Good spot and on a night where all places were packed to capacity this place was pumping but the service was still good. Especially as there was an ordering bungle which wasn’t their fault and they fixed it at no charge and smiled the whole time. Food was tasty and the seafood so fresh and generous.

Never again. I attempted to celebrate my birthday at Augellos but a fun time was had by nobody at all. For the below average food and exorbitant prices, you should be ashamed of your appalling service. When I made the booking, I was not informed that a party of 9 would only have 90 minutes at the table, and your waiters made it a race to the clock. Let alone unfinished meals and restrictions on further orders, the table was getting cleared before meals were even completed. Your arrogant and abrupt staff made the overall experience deplorable. Even if we were not disgusted by your ridiculous cakeage fee per person, for cupcakes that do not require plates or cutlery, and had wanted to have the birthday cupcakes I made myself, we would not have had any time. The massive price difference between dine-in and take away is not justified given the low standard of service. Hope you enjoyed losing 9 customers who aren't shy to share their experience. #regrets

We recently went for a romantic birthday dinner at Augello’s and had a wonderful night. A special shout out to Michael who gave us the most incredible customer service and was hilarious! (He wasn’t even aware it was my birthday so we weren’t getting any extra special treatment). The food was delicious and the atmosphere was awesome. Can’t wait to come back!

Havent been to Augello's for awhile but i must say it never disappoints. Our food was amazing. Fresh , delicious & we loved everything. Wait staff were lovely will certainly be back sooner next time. Congratulations guys xo

Kate Werninghaus
Most delicious food and lovely atmosphere with such amazing service. Very friendly staff. 10/10. My new fave!
Robyn Korst
Loved the salmon pizza & marinara spaghetti. Just felt after we said we didn’t want dessert we were given the hurry up by the head waiter! It was my birthday & would have liked to just digest the dinner before the bill was dumped on our table!
Melissa Van Eeden
Worst pizza ever! Ordered a Roast Lamb Gourmet Pizza as a take away, lamb was dried up shit and no sauce and no flavour not worth the $28!!!
Sam Williams
We thought it was the best pizza ever and service was awesome could not have asked for better quality, value and service loved it
Sarah Louise Stresshead
Absolutely great food. Absolutely splendid service. Shoutout to Michael, who was an absolutely pleasure to be served by. Friendly, happy, nothing was too much trouble and easy to have a laugh with. Will definitely be going back again. Thank you

Took some friends from Melb for dinner, pizza and pasta was amazing with great service from the very friendly staff. A beautiful restaurant.
Amanda Sugden
The food was average and the service appalling. The waiter was super pushy rolling his eyes and checking watch and sighing loudly. We had a booking for 6pm and were rushed out by 6:45pm....entree, main and desserts all done. We went for my daughter's 4th birthday and the waiter made it hard for us to relax, trying to clear our drinks and plates before we had finished! So disappointed
Becca Smith
Amazing service and incredible food best pizza I’ve ever had!
Deanne Connolly
Always, always love their pizza. Booked for six and finished by eight. Super polite staff and ever enjoyable pizza. Wonderful night of fun and laughs. We will be back.

Was recommended Augellos restaurant by a friend and was very impressed with the amazing service by all staff members. And not to mention the amazing food it was very delicious we couldn't fault it at all. We had the Margarita pizza and the carbonara Pasta. Price for food was very reasonable. If you are thinking about trying this restaurant don't think twice do it but make sure you book as it's very busy.
Mark Birchall
For years we've been coming here, and for years we will keep coming. Fridays are better with Augellos's!
Elesha O'Connor
Would be nice to think that you weren’t served by a rude little upstart when trying to book a table. Friendly service goes a long way!!
Jodi Powell
Another great meal but extra special this time with amazing service by Peter (aka Nipper).
Shannon Wilson
Amazing! Get pizza and sticky date! Staff were awesome and friendly! Best pizza we have ever had.!

The best pizza I have ever had
Vegetarian - packed full of goodness about 2” thick
Well done

Lovely breakfast and service on the busy day - mother's day.

Got so many tables filled with customers but the services are still so prompt.

Ordered the special menu - pancake for myself....was good but not surprisingly good.

should have ordered the Italian eggs....which i saw is in a pot style.
Lina
Fine dining with a nice view upstairs.
Food was amazing but a bit costly but I guess is worth for a try !
Many option of pizza,
staffs are friendly and they always recommend some specials for you if you can’t choose .

Dec 2018: took my brisbane family there expecting a scrumptious meal as all my other visits. It was a terribly busy Saturday night. Our table was slightly delayed due earlier patrons and we were nicely offered garlic and pesto bread on the house while we wait :). However, this time the crab lasagne was rather bland and too creamy compared to normal. The penne and risotto cacciatore we ordered were just too salty - big disappointment since it’s always one of my favorite. We did inform the restaurant which initially was countered with resistant because “the lasagna looks normal and that was always how we make it”. Later a lady come out and address us nicely and more warmly.

Sep 2018: The place has won many awards for the pizzas. And believe you me, they do have out of the world experience for pizzas. Best risotto I had in life here too. A place like no others and a definite stop when visiting sunny Coast
George
Food was very nice. The pizzas are excellent. Service was prompt. The prices are on the upper end but it’s worth paying a little extra. I would be back.

Came to Brisbane and was quite excited to try he worlds best pizza of 2014 and 2010. However originally I wanted the ocean trout pizza which was Australia best pizza of 2016, but it was sold out :(. Fortunately the duck sushizza and the hot smoked salmon pizza did not dissappoint :). I thought the prawn and crab penne was also nice :)

I have been to Augello's many times before and always had excellent experiences. Unfortunately it appears the service standard has decreased significantly since my last visit. We had to wait significantly past our booking time to be seated (as did three other groups). During our entire dining experience we were not checked on once other than when we initially ordered and we found it exceptionally difficult to get the attention of a waiter (and we wanted to order more drinks). We got sick of waiting and ended up just paying our bill up at the counter. On the plus side the food was excellent (as it always is)! We love the Salmon pizza in particular. Would love to see the customer service improved by our next visit.
Ms Marone
The food was lovely but a tad too small for the prices. The wait staff (young Italian guy) were very friendly and polite but the meals took a long time to be served and the restaurant wasn’t super busy. The pizza was delicious.
Moz.Food_coma
After finding it hard to get a decent pizza on the coast, my dad suggested Augellos he hadn't been there for a couple of years but he said it was nice the last time he visited . Well we were wrong ! over priced, greasy and the bases tasted either frozen or stale ! Best pizza awards ? Haha I also have a computer I can create awards on ! A GF pizza that was as big as a side plate and you charged $34? The place was empty mid day on a sunny Sunday down Mooloolaba , I think it's time to rethink your strategy and maybe your pricing . Won't be returning ever !
The Food Dude
Seriously slow service. Waiting 55 minutes for a pizza and fish, finished beer 40 minutes ago. It's not even busy. Fish came out with burnt skin... not worth a revisit.
Mark Dawson
Great food, quick service even though every table was full. Tried to walk in, but too busy. Booked for 7:30 (25 minutes later). No waiting to be seated - straight in.
We dined here after not being able to decide on a selection of seemingly expensive Italian restaurants in the area. The service was friendly and efficient and the setting was pleasant being set up high with breezes. Unfortunately the food just was not great. The pizza I had which was dubbed Australia's best pizza was really quite strange as it came with potato type balls on top. I did not finish it so I tried my partners prawn and crab pasta. The seafood was just so tasteless and I could not eat it. A shame considering that mooloolaba has some of the best seafood in the world. I would most likely not come here again.

This place is known for their award wining pizzas with with unique flavour combinations. We ordered the salmon pizza and the rump steak. Amazing flavours of creamy baked salmon, salty salmon roe, basil and zesty lemon harmonised together and made every bite pure bliss. Rump steak was average and service was friendly.
Jay Z
Had a risotto and a pizza which while fairly good were quite expensive. The risotto at least had seafood in it to justify the $34 price but the non gourmet pizza at $28 is a bit insane when it tasted like any suburban $10 pizza. If you want the gourmet options they were $34!

Interestingly they don't accept AMEX (first ever proper restaurant I've seen that does that) which was very surprising considering the prices they charge.

While we were quite happy with the food and the service, the prices charged are far too high for what you're getting.

Kevin
Great service matched with good italian food. Views are amazing. Book the upstairs dining area and enjoy! Access was via stairs but they have a downstairs area as well. Kid friendly too.
Catherine
The best pizza.

Definitely book a table, surprisingly a lot of people don't. I walked straight past the cluster of walk-ins waiting, and was directed straight to my table. Whilst waiting for my friend, I ordered a wine and perused the menu.. After tossing up between pizza or pasta, I decided on the Thai calamari and prawn pizza - sweet chilli base, calamari, prawns, Spanish onions, roasted peppers, Japanese bread crumbs, coriander, and lime aioli ($22). The pizza was delicious! The best I have had all year. All the flavours were perfect together, nothing overpowering and didn't taste overly seafoody.. I would definitely get this one again. My friend ordered The Pachino (pretty much Hawaiian) and also enjoyed it.. although I did see her shovelling ham into a pile on the edge of her plate... "too much ham" she said. The sizes were pretty large, we could only get through half of our small pizzas and got the other half put into a container to take home... I'm not going to waste such a good pizza. Unfortunately we were too full to try dessert but I'll save room for it next time.
Augello's has always been a popular place, the food never disappoints, and the service is always friendly. The only negative is the noise, it's quite loud therefore you have to raise your voice a bit to have a conversation... but that can't really be fixed. I look forward to going back and ordering the same pizza again.

Had an amazing dinner here tonight. We booked earlier in the day and lucky we did as others were told there was a 30 min wait for a table. We sat upstairs and could see the beach and people passing by. The room was quite dark and loud and we were sitting in the corner facing the window. Service was quick and we were asked for drinks orders as soon as we sat down-had to ask them to come back as we had not decided yet!

For the main I ordered the sand crab lasagna which was amazing with a creamy seafood broth. My husband got the crab and prawn pasta with garlic and chilli. His was spicy but he enjoyed it.

The only downside to this place was that we felt quite rushed. As soon as our plates were cleared, and we declined dessert, we were asked to pay at the counter. I know they were busy but we felt as if we were getting kicked out!

Food 10/10
Service 7/10
Atmosphere 4/10

I dined here early on a Saturday evening. Bookings are essential as this place is usually full. Service was efficient and friendly.

I ordered the vegetarian pizza. The base was very nice, however I felt that there were too many toppings, and the pizza cooled down too quickly. I left feeling not as satisfied as I had been three years ago, when I had ordered the prawn and scallop risotto.

-----29 Oct, 2016-----
It's been 3 years between visits to Augello's but I stayed true to my word from my last review and ordered a pizza, partly after being convinced by our very friendly and efficient waitress. Three years ago I thought all the pizzas coming out looked fantastic but after I ordered I watched them all leaving the kitchen piled too high with ingredients and covered in mayonnaise, which doesn't belong on a pizza in my opinion. Despite this opinion I somehow decided to order a very non-traditional tuna and salsa pizza. The "salsa" was mango and strawberry. The tuna was perfectly seared and topped with kupie mayo and at the beginning of each slice was wasabi. This all turned out to be a strange combination with the usual mozzarella covered base. It just didn't work. The wasabi certainly didn't belong and the delicate flavour of the fresh tuna was completely hidden. It was edible but not enjoyable. This may have been a winner for Augello's in 2010 but I think we have moved on from those crazy pizza years and returned to more simplistic and traditional toppings. I certainly will be sticking to more authentic offerings in future.

-----12 Oct, 2013-----We arrived on a busy Friday night without a booking but the staff managed to find us a table upstairs. The meals arrived within a reasonable time after ordering. Our son was happy with his spaghetti Bolognese which was perfectly sized. My partner described the scallop and prawn risotto as the best risotto he's ever had out (careful to point out that mine is the best - he's not stupid). The taste I had was deliciously creamy. My sandcrab lasagne was very tasty and very rich. I ordered the main meal size. Unfortunately they don't offer vegetable side dishes because I think the smaller size with some vegetables would provide more taste variety, a bit of crunch and a slightly lighter meal. Still, it was a great meal. I just wish I'd had room to try a dessert. I would happily go back to Augellos. Pizza is next on my list to try as they all looked amazing as they were taken past our table and smelt delicious.

Delicious pasta, quick service and attentive staff in a beautiful location. Thank you to the chef for taking into account allergies. Highly advise!

Nice fresh pizza. Plenty of flavour and quality ingredients ensure that you will not be disappointed. Definitely worth a visit to Augello's to grab a pizza!
Auswarrior
Amazing pizza's and great service. The Thai prawn and calamari pizza was the top pick followed closely by the pork belly pizza, the meat lovers pizza and supreme were also top quality. The duck pizza was not so great and would not have that again.

The best PRAWN & CRAB pasta I ever have!!! I came back the next day to order the same! Lovely people & Amazibg view of the beach. What a gem of a place.
Chec Del Mundo
Perfect place to have lunch on a hot day. We sat outside the cool sea breeze felt refreshing. There's a list of pizza, but would highly recommend the gourmet smoked salmon pizza. Small serve for one person has 8 substantial slices! Also had the entree size sand crab lasagna on a beautiful bisque. Friendly staff and fast service.

Wow! What can i say?
How can i sum up the service from the staff, the location, the food?
Except by describing it as B-E-A-UTIFUL!

the 2 of us came up from Melbourne and we had trouble finding a place for dinner.
Other then the decor looking a little outdated compared to its competitors on the strip, this place made up for it in more then 1 way and all at a reasonable cost.

Special mention to our waiter, dont remember his name but he was tall and i think bold.
(I would be horrible in a lineup of suspects).
D Arthur
Went there for a quick pizza. Firstly they asked if we wanted drinks first, we declined. We ordered small pizzas with a drink, and they brought only the drink. We sat there for nearly an hour before being told there would be a hold up with our food because of a large party upstairs. When we asked how long the delay would be they couldn't even give us an estimate.
Nobody else came in while we were there, so I think this situation was known at the time of our arrival/ordering and we could have been informed earlier instead of sitting there like idiots wasting what little free time we've been given these holidays.
So we left and let Augello's keep their warm beer.
I am also quite suspicious of their claim of "award winning". When was this award given and by who? Sadly I was never offered their food to be able to verify.
I had better success for pizza around the block towards the marina at Pizza Flames or something.
Ama
Everything was delicious, the bruschetta, spaghetti bolognese, fettuccine marinara & meat lovers pizza. Service was friendly and fast. Well priced aswell. Great dining experience :)
Matt
Tourist trap. Food passable and edible. Not really focused on people but on their pocket. There are other places more worthy on the strip. Signature pizzas ok but are a novelty.
Mad Mick
Tourist Trap in my opinion. Pizzas coming off a conveyor belt oven (like dominos) could never win any awards. Where is the wood oven? My companions did like thier pasta dishes which I would rate as decent. The tiny downstairs area is arguably the best people watching spot on the strip (gorgeous views;o) Strangely, you need to book.
Avoid the "Prize Winning" duck pizza.
Sandlies
Overpriced and underwhelmed. $34 for one pizza. Expected it to be delicious. It was average and the toppings were scant.

$24 for soft drinks for 3. We needed two drinks each because they were tiny.

$12 for a child's serve of microwaved mushy lasagna.
Amy Mercer
During my holiday I came to Augello's twice, it was simply amazing!!! Great service from the get go & the food was really authentic, the papalina pasta was so delicious!!!!
R_hazlett
Amazing food!. This was our first time and the food and service were both amazing! We will be back - thank you!
Tamsyn
Tasty pizzas, and great wine list to accompany. Pizza combos are creative and the chef obviously thinks outside the box. Make sure you book a table well in advance if you're wanting to dine in. Staff can be quite rude when you "rock up" and expect a table as a walk-in. Even when we DID have a booking, but arrived early, we still were treated rudely by door staff. Having said that, when we were seated half an hour later, our waiter was very attentive, and provided exceptional service.
Arthur The Eater
14 years strong. Would've been here around 70 times - the food, staff and service are consistently amazing. Order the vegetarian (add prawns) or Thai calamari pizza. Superb!
Beverley Travers
We visited Augello's every morning for coffee and muffins while we were on holiday and dined for dinner one evening and found the service and food to be fantastic. We will definitely visit next time we are on holiday
Cat
Delicious sand crab lasagne. Came here for my birthday dinner. We had no booking but they managed to squeeze us in. Had a real italian feel to the place. The food was brilliant. We shared the garlic bread, moroccan chciken pizza and the sand crab lasagne. The lasagne was the stand out for sure. We have been talking about it for days!
Denyce Botha
You need to book before eating here as the food is amazing and the staff are very friendly, for as busy as it was the service was fast and we had our entrée only 10mins after being seated. And I just want to say a big thank you to the all the staff for making my engagement the best ever I couldn't think of anything better. Needless to say I will definitely be going back :)

Like it...with reservations. So we fell into Augello's. It seems to have a good Urban spoon rating, it's in our apartment building, it's even advertised on our room key. And there's a lot to like. Great service from our American waitress struck just the right note. And the interior is that 1980's, knocked about Italian bistro style, a bit noisy and chaotic, lots of chairs scraping on bare floors, etc. Laid back. Our first course of Hervey Bay scallops on cauliflower puree with pancetta crumbs was great but it all unravelled from there.
You can look at pizza a couple of ways. Our local Melbourne pizzacheria serves paper thin crust topped with simple tomato sauce, ham, cheese etc. Or pizza can be used to carry the contents of Auntie Mabel's handbag. Sadly, Augello's falls into the latter category. We blame ourselves. We should have seen the train wreck approaching, but we were momentarily dazzled by the flashing lights of "Voted World's Best Pizza" and "Augello's purchases more Huon Salmon than anyone in the world". When dealing in statements like this why not make it the Galaxy?
Sometimes less is more, Augello's. I no longer remember all the contents of that pizza. There was salmon, aioli, spinach, caramelised onion, salmon roe and a bunch of other stuff that roiled around my gut for hours on a thick, mediocre crust.
Having said that, I'd still consider going back to try the prawn and crab pasta :-)
Newlywed
Luckily rang an hour before and booked a table as the place was packed. Despite this staff were attentive, water & menus within moments of being seated. Prices were reasonable hubby had a massive bowl of bolognaise for $20, my sand crab lasagne was a little over $30 but absolutely delicious. I am addicted to Il Centros famous lasagne and this surpassed it, a new favourite. Atmosphere is terrific but agree with other reviews as not a romantic dinner spot as quite noisy. Highly recommend for a great value meal

Lunch time on Easter Sunday. Don't order the Roma tomatoes bruschetta. Essentially 4 pieces of ciabatta - not rubbed with garlic, sliced tomato no seasoning, herbed aioli ( mayonnaise ) - never never - waiting for main meal now
JJ
Delicious and authentic!. I can't rave enough about the prawn and crab fettuccine I ate yesterday for lunch. The prawns were the most fresh and juicy that I've ever tried. The rest of the dish was also super fresh and well-seasoned. A hearty but just-right serve, it was nice and light and digested easily (quite uncharacteristic of pasta). The service was attentive and friendly, very homely. The views upstairs were incredible, and we were seated at the window without fuss - the waiter's suggestion. Will definitely be back ASAP!
Sonia Finn
Good meal. Prawn and crab pasta was tasty good size and lots of seafood. Their specialty pizza with Japanese dish was surprisingly good combo despite all the strange ingredients. Also friendly service.
Andrew Munro
Whilst on holiday in Maroochydore we discovered Augello's while looking for our previously favourite Italian Restaraunt in Mooloolaba. Sam looked after us on the first night an we ordered a gourmet hot smoked salmon pizza (voted the worlds best pizza in 2010). It did not disappoint. After looking at the dessert menu we succumbed to tiramisu and sticky date pudding. We told Sam, the waitress, both were delicious. The food was so good we returned 5 days later and ordered pizza again. Like the pizza the creme' brûlée after was sensational. The service was prompt and Sam and AJ who waited on us we very pleasant and relaxed. We will definitely return on our next visit. Andrew and Grace
Pretzelinspector
Very bad. Slowest service ever - not even slow can describe - they had all but forgotten about our order entirely. Tears from hungry small children. Once we told them this they still took an age to arrange new food. Threatened to leave. Then the food came out: cold and lifeless. Gave us a voucher to compensate. Why would we want to risk again?
Sunnycoast Girl
We are locals on the sunny coast and sorry to say but Augellos is loosing our vote as our once fav restaurant. To busy now, rushed service and trying to get you in and out do they can get more people in and on your table. Had the signature dish with the prawn and crab penne with crab shell all through the pasta. We wanted to order coffee and desert and wanted to sit and enjoy the view and let our main meal settled when next our bill is placed on our table to hurry up, we still had our drinks in front of us so we weren't going anywhere. Very disappointed, won't be rushing back as a local. We will invest our hard earn money in another restaurant trying to strive for excellence and not let the tourist trade take over with sloppy food and bad service.

Buzzy, Good Service. We booked for 2 on Saturday night and were running late so they gave us a call to confirm arrival. Well done staff! Service here was top notch. Cesear salad was large and tasty. Supreme pizza was good, but base was a little soft with the volume of topping. Topping blend was delicious though. Bonus was getting served a drink by famous Queenslander Billy Moore! Recommended.
Liz
Had a lovely dinner here, garlic bread
To start wasn't the best in the world and a little overdone but the pizza was beautiful! Good staff and atmosphere, we will return!
Robungy
After reading a couple reviews didn't have high expectations...but was pleasantly surprised. Beetroot and goat cheese bread a great start and the salmon pizza well flavored as was chicken risotto. Worth a visit.
Goran Ford
To put it in a few words. Tasteless Rubbish.
Anna
Yummy food if your brave enough to be adventurous. Great service, family vibe
Natalie
The pizzas were delicious and the service was excellent! I had Calebrese pizza and my husband had the Sicilian pizza- both were great. I would definitely go back :-) Yum!!
Colossus
Good pizzas. Quality "Australian" style pizzas. Bit on the pricey side at $20+ each but that's the esplanade price I suppose.
Backed up to Augello's again as they let us have a booked table on the condition we'd be quick. Got the signature crab and prawn penne, it was loaded with seafood. An option for chilli is the only suggestion I could make.
Bonus was found out that legendary QLD State of Origin player Billy Moore owns it.

Please go there!!. I have been with my partner 3 or 4 times now and I have to say, each time we were never disappointed. We are both pizza lovers and ordered a pizza, drinks and entrees each time. The price is pretty good, the staff are friendly and I would definitely go back again!.
Ruth Keily
We dined at Augellos on a very busy night and were so happy we did! The staff were all friendly and efficient, although it was obvious that they were run off their feet! I had the signature dish-prawns and crabmeat pasta, but ordered it with gluten free pasta and it was fresh and tasty.Hubbie had a vego pizza and loved the abundance of fresh vegies. The wine list was concise and had some real winners.Great value for money and fabulous food in a bustling restaurant. We'll be back, for sure!
Fogo
Good pizza and pasta. Augello's always provides reasonable value for money pizza and pasta and is one of the better places for a family meal along the mooloolaba strip. Try the garlic pizza.
Petria Kennedy
Thanks for a great night guys!. Our work team had another fabulous dining experience here - we felt very well looked after and of course the food was awesome! By the way - the new award winning pizza is all time!
Garfield2011
Great Little Find. Thoroughly recommend the Seafood Chowder... very tasty!

One of the better places to eat in Mooloolaba... reasonably priced too!
Pheebs
The "world's greatest pizza": the hot smoked salmon was not definitely the world's best... It was a good pizza, but had too much cheese and not so fresh salmon. The crab and prawn penne was quite watery, but not unenjoyable I guess. Pretty decent for the price, very friendly staff.
Brighid
Staff was good, food was bland. I had the cannelloni and my partner bolognase. Two traditional Italian dishes but yet I'm sad to say the food was just very plain. The bolognase was watery and that was coming from a chef. I think we should of stuck to the pizza menu which I think they are best credited for.
Weasel
Sit on the upper balcony, try the seafood pene - you will not be disappointed..
ELizabeth Scheu
Notshy. Pizza was delicious, but tiny for $20
Stefan
Great pizza and service. I went out on a limb and tried the smoked salmon pizza - i dont even like smoked salmon. i tried it because it got the award for the best pizza in the world for 2010.

after innumerous pizzas that i have had, this is the first time i have sent my compliments to the chef for a pizza! everything was so perfectly balanced! it was crunchy, juicy and yet soft and sweet.
recommended to all pizza lovers
Scott Tapsall
Love it!. Have been to Augello's every year for the past 5 years.Try to get a table outside upstairs, we had a table in the middle once, and it wasn't as enjoyable.

The bruschetta is amazing! I'm not sure it's very traditional, but it is really really good. I always order the sandcrab and prawn penne for main, and it is always excellent. My wife has tried a few different pastas and hasn't had a dud yet.

The service is good, they even gave us a free slice of cake one night because it was our anniversay - nice touch!

I did have pizza once, and it wasn't anything wonderful. But the pastas are top notch.
Luke
Good food friendly staff a wee bit pricey...
Stephen King
Good honest food in a great location.
