Review Lemon And Thyme - Mooloolaba

The Turkish grill special deal did not skimp on quality or flavour. Excellent friendly service. Milk lab for the coffee is always good. Would definitely return next time I'm in the area.

Dropped in for a relaxed lunch on Easter Sunday. Placed our drinks and food order. Drinks arrived as expected but an hour later no food. The place wasn't that busy. Checked and they had lost the order. Even though it was taken, in front of us, on an iPad. Placed food order again and it turned up. Both parties picked the $50/4 item platter. Not bad at all. Pork belly and hand cut fries where the star on our side. Went to order a last round of drinks to be told they had closed one minute ago. So we paid our bill and were not offered any compensation for their mistake. Sorry, won't be returning.

Lovely late lunch on a Saturday. Had shared Mezze platter, Korean pork belly, calamari crumbed...and all gluten free. Tables outside under cover, some seating inside too. Wine, beer and cocktails served. Parking might be a bit tough on street, but you could park at Coles and walk up! Sea views from outside seating. Staff attentive and pleasant.

Can not believe the experiences we have had here. 1. Food over cooked 2. Drinks over priced for what you get 3. Customer service skills of all team members is severely lacking 4. Make a reservation online - place closed. No word from the business that they are shut. 5. Management takes no responsibility for the running of the business and no apologies or offers to remake or refund poorly made meals. Definitely will not return to such a poorly run business. Please do yourself a favour and do not come here

My brother and I had our beautiful 21st birthday dinner here with our group of 30. It has a great family owned business atmosphere. The owners and staff are all incredibly accommodating and attentive. The menu caters for a range of diets including gluten free and vegan which was perfect for our group as we have a range of dietary requirements. Thank you for a wonderful night!

I waited an hour (no exaggeration) for an Acai bowl that was 95% roasted coconut. My friends waited even longer for their meals, and they were served without the sides ordered. I would not recommend it at all. As you can see by the response below, there's a wild assumption that my friends and I had "no compassion" for the business and that we made no attempt to rectify (ie wait another hour). Rather than a focus on how they'll rectify their issues. Absolutely dodge this place.

Not sure about all the high ratings, our dinner was average at best. Perhaps LT’s breakfast and lunch offerings are better. Food was just ok, wine menu disappointing and staff not bothered even offering desert menu. Manager played cashier hiding out in reception not even asking how our food was. I realise restaurants are struggling finding staff but owners should nonetheless invest in their staff with training, food sampling and think about wine selection and storage thereof. Bland food, warm wine and disappointing service will have me look elsewhere next time.

Always Good food but staff went above and beyond to help with me sisters rare allergy. You can’t imagine how hard it is for her to eat out and you guys made it an amazing experience. Thank you ❤️

Each year when holidaying at Mooloolaba, I look forward to the ‘Thick cut rustic chips’ at Lemon & Thyme. However, there is no longer anything “rustic” about these chips, and they were certainly not “thick cut” anymore. They’re just regular square cut hot chips that are rather over priced at $9 a serve. Hubby ordered a beef burger for $20. The burgers do not come with a side of hot chips but the waiter kindly agreed to arrange hot chips as a side. The cafe was not busy but we still had to flag down a staff member (twice) to take our order. For a beef burger with a side of hot chips, a pot of “thick cut rustic chips” on their own, a XXXX beer, and a can of drink, the total was $50 - steep when you consider it’s basically one actual meal and a serve of hot chips. Overall, the food was ok albeit nothing special and rather overpriced for what it was. Unfortunately, they’ve lost us moving forward. There are plenty of other better choices along Mooloolaba Esplanade.

The service was lovely, but quite slow. I ordered the lamb shoulder which was yummy and very tender. I decided to stay for dessert and was disappointed since I'd just had a nice main meal - I ordered the mudcake and was served a chocolate cupcake with a scoop of ice cream. Lemon & Thyme is ok for a nice main meal, but go somewhere else for dessert.

Wonderful food with a view. Away from the main beach so not as busy. Great service from staff in checking ingredients for allergy. Food was a little slow in coming out but very tasty and well presented. Extensive menu including lunch and dinner. Would recommend.

Waited close to an hour to be served. I ordered 3 small tapas and it didn’t occur to the staff to bring me the first dish: oysters. Those miserable oysters were covered by a great scoop of “granita “. Why to disguise them with so MUCH stuff? Eggplant didn’t taste like eggplant and was over sweet and sour.
Calamari was god but bit greasy at bottom. Great choice of music for me; poor service.

Had breakfast here before a day of exploring. I ordered Eggs Florentine and it was pretty good. The eggs were a little overdone but I prefer that to under cooked. The hollandaise was perfect - a good balance of lemon and butter. It all tasted very fresh. Coffee was pretty good too. The cafe has lovely bright decor. Waitress was friendly.
Quality! It Shouldnt Be That Hard! Love A Wonderful Mouth Full Of Wholesome FOOD!
My friend and I was walking by and thought we would give it a shot because it had a great plant based selection! You

The waiter took us to our table she was from Canada 🇨🇦 she was breath taking so beautiful. She was an amazing waiter.

The service was good however the food took a long time to come out. We where so hungry which made it worse.

I ordered the veggie mezza plate. It was so so tasty the flats bread was supper fresh and soft and the falafel was so different it was mind blowing! The garlic is dipping sauce was so strong I love raw garlic.

My friend had the fish and chips it was really nice the fish it self was a little small for the price! I would go back. Because over the experience and food was good!!!

Delicious! I had the pad Thai noodle bowl and it was the best tasting satay I've ever tried! Lots of veggies and noodles! My partner had the tropical chicken burger with fat chips and he loved it!

Came here for a meal the night before the Noosa TRI and came back for their New Years set menu. Had the steak twice and it was amazing, so I had it again. The sides and dips are all amazing and compliment the food so well. Highly recommend. Great staff as well.

Everything we ordered was nicely cooked with good quality ingredients. My dad absolutely loved the lamb curry. Friendly service and highly recommended.

We had dips and bread plus grilled fish for 2 with sides. All the food was delicious, particularly the fish. Unfortunately the size of the fish was a bit small for 2 people but that was the only negative of the meal. Good service and vey reasonably priced.

Great atmosphere, great food, awesome staff 🙏
If you're into healthy, clean and wholesome food, do yourself a favour and visit. Tapas or mains, you'll enjoy what you pick no matter what.

Loved this place, every tapas we had was fantastic.
Loved how they squeezed us in even though we were late and advised us how much was in each so we could order more
Personal favourite was the brusetta with pear....yummmm

The breakfasts were very simple but had nice clean flavours. The sourdough with the eggs was great. The simpler dishes had very small portions while the crumpets with salmon and dill were very large. The smoothies were nice but sweet so probably should have been listed as milkshakes. Otherwise, friendly service and good location along the main esplanade.

Your stereotypical cafe in the heart of mooloolaba. Nothing out of the ordinary here. I had eggs Benedict, which were disappointing as the yolk was hard. Cmon people, runny yolk is a must with poached eggs. Coffee was acceptable. But let's be honest there's better options elsewhere.

Heaps of gluten free and paleo options, as well as being safe for people with peanut allergy. Dinner & dessert was delicious, great dining atmosphere, though service could certainly be better.

My girlfriend and I ate here today and we were really impressed!!! Food was really good quality and tasted great. Chef even asked the waitress to ask us how our meals tasted!!
Waitress was extremely friendly and helpful, even when we were undecided on what to choose.
We had Sichuan snapper wings cooked perfect, the perfect bowl of potato cut chips and a gluten free pizza which tasted amazing!!
Thanks to all the staff for a great meal, we are already looking for excuses to get back their soon!!

Nice location and food, but hugely let down by the service! Initial meet & greet was ok, although a tad disorganized when it came to finding a table. We ordered our first round of drinks, and the special share platter...these came out in a timely manner, and the platter was overall quite enjoyable; however, the service from that point STOPPED! We sat with empty glasses from before the food was bought out (no drinks were offered at that point), until we had to almost jump up and pour ourselves another round! The three staff were out and about in the seating area frequently, but they seemed to be looking for something other than empty glasses and plates, and certainly not making eye contact with patrons who were obviously parched! The "too cool for school" guy who did the most laps around the tables seemed pretty put out when we finally managed to get his attention, and he almost threw our drinks at us...I'm sorry; for some silly reason I thought that was his job, how rude of me to assume. His ultra-bland personality is not doing the restaurant any favors that's for sure. We were not the only table trying to get someone to stop long enough to take a drink order, and we noticed most tables were covered in dirty plates (and of course empty glasses/bottles) long after the customers had left the premises. Disappointing to say the least...and no; we won't be back!

This restaurant is a must-visit while on the Sunshine Coast. Good selection of modern oz cuisine with gluten free and paleo choices. Excellent kids menu, good tapas options and extensive cocktail list. Our faves were the whole grilled snapper, the char grilled rib eye steak and the grilled barramundi with sweet potato mash. My little girl loved the slow cooked lamb in crispy pastry while my son gobbled up the huge kids pizza in no time. The wait staff are friendly and the bench seats with cushions against the wall give the place a chilled out atmosphere.

Beautiful tasty seafood and attentive service. Awesome place! Can't wait to go back to try more of their menu. Happy to recommend. Prime location too.

We had breakfast. Staff were lovely - taking our order was a little slow considering there were only 2 customers. Other than that an overwhelmingly positive experience. The coffee was good - I had the dukkah eggs with Swiss chard - was delicious. Best part was the raisin toast - I had to ask the manager where it came from it was so good. Not your average raisin toast!! Good menu options with all dietary requirements catered for.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday, waiting a little while and staff a little frazzled. Lady did apologise that they were so busy but when I looked around I estimate the restaurant to be maybe 20% full. Food was ok but nothing amazing, had the eggs bennie and gave it a 6/10

Nice food for breakfast a bit disorganised when we were there but looked busy in the evenings, a great spot

Service was good. Nice location. I has the lamb and it was fatty & not great. Meals rather small for the price.

Nice food, cold beverages and friendly wait staff!

A Good Choice. Friendly, competent staff. Huge selection of food on offer, and everything we had was lovely. Would definitely recommend this place to both locals and tourists.

Wandering up and down the esplanade looking for somewhere to eat after just arriving and we found Lemon and Thyme. Everything was amazing!! Food, service, ambience, even Drew singing out the front with his guitar. Being from Melbourne and having so much to choose from, it was awesome to eat here and try something new and different. The next challenge is that we are only here for 3 days, however, we are sure we can eat our way through the menu.

WOW!! Well done Tex and the team at Lemon & Thyme

Will be back!. Restaurants in Mooloolaba can sometimes be pretentious but Lemon and Thyme has a very relaxed and laid back vibe.
Service is fantastic! The staff can't do enough and are genuinely pleasant to deal with.
There is a really great variety of food at reasonable prices - looking forward to our next visit!
