Review Mooloolah River Fisheries - Mooloolaba

Again, a quick bite to eat before heading home. The choice we made was Calamari and Chips and a bottle of Apple Juice. The Calamari very crunchy and large cut strips. The chips also very nice. The meal and drink and sauce $22.90 - plenty for two people - actually struggling to finish the meal. The shock was the prize of the Prawns $ 49.90 a kile - we gave that a miss. Sitting upstairs and eating the goodies out of the carton with a great view over the harbour - looking at all the trawlers - it was relaxing. We will be back! Compliments to the "Chef" that cooked the Prawns and 🍟 - actually the best we had for a long time - there at the Fishery.

Ordered fried Snapper and chips - what I got was a half piece of snapper so overcooked that it was akin to eating chicken. Horrible. And the serving of chips was also half size and also overcooked - couldn’t eat it. As I was waiting in line to pickup my order I overheard another customer who was complaining about the exact same thing as he and his wife were demanding a refund. I won’t be back - poor quality, poor quantity.

2 stars for the chips and the nice staff. Calamari rubbery, Fish was unpleasant and too much batter. Ordered Cod and was given Hoki. Won't go there again.

This has to be the worst fish and chip shop I have ever been to. This is the second time in the past few months that I have received absolutely disgusting service and horrible food. The staff are rude and unhelpful. It took 40 minutes to get our food and it was inedible as it was not cooked correctly. The establishment is typical of the vanguard of poor service and poor culinary abilities that we are slowly weeding out and banishing from the Sunshine Coast. Soon we will have gotten rid of these archaic businesses who believe that just because they have a good position and people have little choice does not mean they can serve poor food. Shame on the management, shame on the owners and shame on the staff. You are paid by our patronage and you either have not been taught that or you don’t care.

Was pretty good. Prawns were very fresh.

Terrible. Tiny soggy prawns and snapper that tasted like an old tyre.
