Review The Good Bar - Mooloolaba

Attended during the week to take advantage of the cheap Wednesday bucket 🪣 of chicken wings and we were not left disappointed. Hardly any gluten free options which was a shame but it is a traditional burger joint so... Food came out pretty quickly and a nice selection of cocktails were on the menu. Staff were really nice and engaging. Will be going back to sample the rest of the menu at some point hopefully with more GF options.

Drove from Brisbane to Mooloolaba on a Wednesday night to pick up a fridge and it didn't fit in my car so I decided to make the most of it and grab dinner. I ordered the Biggie burger, was pretty good. If I had to be brutally honest the chicken in the burger wasn't the best I've had. Dirty fries were good. Not many beers on tap, so I just had a ginger beer. Service was probably the best part of the experience.

Great burgers, super friendly staff, and 3-5pm Happy Hour! "Not Good But Great" was good tasty ordinary burger, and "Daddy Yankee" was superb with nice jalapeno kick . Althoguh we found the onion rings a bit pricey for the quality and quantity, overall we enjoyed our burger and happy hour drinks.

2022 update. Oh boy, what a difference a couple of years makes! We've been to good bar every time we've been to Mooloolaba beach but this time around what a disappointment. Not sure if it's different management or staff but we are unlikely to return. Came here with the family on a Tuesday without realising it was trivia night. Several of the tables and booths had reserved signs on them, which was fair enough. We made sure to choose a booth that had no sign on it, sat down ordered a couple of drinks and were looking forward to dinner and trivia. 20 minutes later a staff member came up and told us we'd have to move as a booking they had was updated after the fact to include a 3rd booth which, surprise, surprise was ours... And to top it off we were to be moved to the opportunists side of the restaurant. I questioned why we were being moved to other side of the restaurant and were told that she didn't know why there was no reserved sign but she was adamant it was placed...i doubt it. Our alternative location for 4 people was either crammed into a small alcove or outside in the cold... After explaining this want reasonable she advised is that she'd speak to her manager and get back to us...we waited, and waited, guess what?, nothing happened so we walked away disappointed. What a shame that things have gone downhill in terms of service. We won't be returning.

The restaurant had a great appearance, I was excited to try American style burgers. Unfortunately it was not a great first experience as a couple we waited at the door as per the signs instructions while employees were behind the bar and no one came to seat us. The atmosphere and customer service was truly lacking for what the appearance of the place was trying to perceive. I understand government mandates and having to follow the guidelines however I feel if the need to verify identity with check in and proof of vax is required so heavily at this restaurant that these politics should be followed through to back of house, the entire kitchen team did not have masks on during the hour we were there. Soggy burger bun due to excess oil so couldn’t finish my burger. Overall not worth the price due to soggy meals and poor customer service. This restaurant does have so much potential though.

Visit Good Bar every time my partner and I travel to Mooloolaba and its never failed to please. Two memorable experiences included getting involved with one of their trivia nights - hilarious host & really fun night, and our first visit where one of the bar tenders was extremely knowledge on gins and served us some great combinations plus spent time chatting us through the flavours, combos and where the gins came from. Food has always been good quality whether it be burgers or wings and never had to wait for an unreasonable amount of time. See you next time Good Bar!

Best burgers we had in a long time!!! Get some burgers from their "great" list part, add "Animal fries" and you will not forget this place anytime soon! I arrived hungry and kranky, had a good time, barely managed to leave...

Had the Yankee Pig & Hot Chicken Sandwich with a side of fries. Both were great in flavour, chips were hot, crunchy and fresh cooked. Both were a tad messy and my only recommendation would be maybe slice the chicken a bit thinner to make it easier to handle without falling apart. Will definitely be coming back and this place is great for hangovers.

Dank food, dope staff, delicious drinks and overall the best vibe. Love this place and everyone who works there. Great respect for food, taste combos, the ever changing (yet delicious) dream time burger and also great music. Highly recommend. Especially on trivia night! So much fun

Holy dooley. Alex and I went to this bar on our holiday and it was a fantastic experience. The live music wasn’t obnoxiously loud like some places, and the food was amazing. We had the Dundee burgers and they were exceptional, and probably hands-down the best burgers we’ve ever had. The waffle fries were a delicious soft/crispy experience and the seasoning was on-point. Our only regret is we didn’t have enough room for our Mac and cheese balls but happily, we are saving them for breakfast tomorrow. Will definitely be back on our next holiday up.

Atmosphere, staff and beers are great. BUT the food for vegetarians is the worst I’ve EVER experienced. The vegan hipster, awful, dry, and barely a burger. The portobelly is an utter lie. No big mushroom just 5 shrivelled ordinary mushies, lettuce, tomato. This does NOT constitute a good burger. Jeebus, go to Grill’d or my local chip shop and they can do a veggie burger better. It’s not rocket science. It’s just food. And if you pay someone who is meant to be able to professionally cook food, nearly ANYONE could come up with something better than this. Oh and the onion rings were sad as well. LOVE the venue, HATE the veggie menu

Had dinner and drinks at Good Bar on Saturday night and it was amazing. The B.I.G.G.I.E burger � was one of the best burgers I have ever had and well worth the food coma after. The cocktails � were good as well. Definitely will be back.

Sunday lunch with husband at the Good Bar. Good vibe, great service and good food. Husband enjoyed a couple of craft beers with his burger, I enjoyed the pork nachos. will definitely recommend to friends.

My friends and I are locals to the coast and eat/drink at Good Bar pretty often! The staff are always super friendly even when the place is fully packed! Best burgers on the coast by far and just an all round enjoyable environment. I would highly recommend attending a trivia night hosted by Drew, if you can handle some banter and you're not a little bitch it's a fuckload of fun �

We went on a Friday night. The place was packed. Managed to grab an outdoor table. There was a 45 minute wait for our food which we were advised when ordering. Great music, delicious food and cold drinks. Will definitely return 👌🏼

Friendly staff and delicious waffle fries were unfortunately not enough to make my trip to The Good Bar a good one. On a not-too-busy Wednesday night, we placed an order for a burger plus 2 small sides. AFTER we paid, we were told it would be a half hour wait...but we didn't receive the food until over an hour later. For my meat-eating partner, the food was tasty, but I could not be more disappointed with vegetarian option. I have visited Good Bar occasionally over the last year and have NOT seen any major improvements in vego options, which is a shame because it's a funky place...

Great staff, awesome food. Best chicken and waffles I've ever had in my life! The apple Jerry is rad, Coffee was flawless also. Such a cool bar.

Beef tacos. You forgot the salsa zero flavour and served cold. Grilled halloumi. Clearly been microwaved. Pork Belly Burger. Had to use knife and fork to eat it bottom half of burger was drenched and soggy. Tasted nice though.

A group of us visited a few months ago on a Friday night. Food was AMAZING! It did take ages to come out (which we were warned about when we ordered so all good) - about 45 mins to an hour but that's to be expected when its busy. Only slight downside was it's really loud in there. There was live music so orders had to be almost shouted but it gave the place a great atmosphere which is important. Have definitely been telling all mates to visit.

Burger was great. Had Aussie. Was a $15 Burger and beer deal. Not into beer besides Asahi Superdry but was good.
