Review Montezuma's - Mooloolaba

Delicious tacos - we had the special sharing platter so we could try them all - delicious! (As we’re the kids grilled corn nachos!). Great for Gluten-free, and had a great range of mocktails too. Service was a little slow, though friendly, but the food was worth the wait. We’ve now been twice in a week. Definitely worth a visit.

Delicious meal. We orders enchiladas and nachos which were delicious. You can choose what meat or non meat filling you would like. We chose pork and jackfruit which was amazing. The margaritas were also great.

Friendly staff, awesome view for lunch and delicious food. Jalapeño poppers were great and unique, not had any similar from anywhere else. Had a range of tacos and a chicken nachos, all fantastic options, in particular the buttermilk crispy fried chicken taco!

New favourite taco place with an awesome atmosphere. Recommend the Jalapeño Poppers, Tacos: buttermilk fried chicken, pulled beef brisket and Mexican Spices Calamari.

My partner and I dined here last night and we went back because our first experience here over a year ago was really good back then the service was fantastic. We had also been back on other occasions. Last night was highly disappointing we were greeted by a staff member who was very bubbly but it went downhill from there. We opted for table service as I much prefer face to face service in this digital world we are becoming. I went to the bar to place our drink order and your staff member was sitting on the floor on her phone. She did proceed to answer my question regarding strength of beers which she was knowledgeable in, I find staff on their phones during shift terribly rude. Your next staff member took our order and when it arrived it was incorrect and the food was disappointing this time. Your tortillas seem to have changed they tasted "cheap" and the food was pretty much all cold. Your food used to taste fresher and much nicer. A very disappointing night out and we won't return.

Excellent "Hot and Cold" cocktail and very friendly and helpful staff. Felt relaxed and in the flow next to the ocean. Definitely will return.

Always delicious and generously sized meals. My pick are the pulled pork nachos. Made to perfection every time with sweet juicy corn and so much flavour. Always a hit when I bring my friends. Also have great Mocktails.👌 10/10 would and do recommend.

We had a group booking here and it was great. The staff were under the pump, but went out of their way to make sure our group was looked after. The drinks were flowing and food was delicious. We will be back.

Had a great dining experience last night. We booked for an early sitting and asked to speak to the Chef who came to our table to answer our questions about my daughter’s allergies. The chef ensured that she was the one to prepare the meal herself and took careful consideration to limit cross contamination risk. She also delivered the meal to her herself. Everyone else at the table also enjoyed their meals. Love that they have a vegan and vegetarian menu with symbols for what is vegan too. Thank you so much!

The night started poorly when the waitress promised to bring us some water and didn't. I eventually went to the bar and got it myself. We ordered two chicken fajitas but one chicken and one beef came out. Rather than wait a long time for the beef to be replaced by a chicken fajita, I agreed to take the beef (everyone else's food was already there). It was a mistake as the beef was tough, dry and over cooked. Overall a bad dining experience that will not see us return.

It's the best place ever come and enjoy the great food and service and all with big smiles from the amazing staff who will look after you like family.��

Food was tasty and not bad...5 out 10 service ok But the sangrias have hardly no alcohol taste like juice only... a waste of good money here We had 3 litres 20 bucks a pop not even a buzz and blew on a breathalizer and blew 0 ... So do you even use spirits in YOUR sangrias?

Had a great night, the food was excellent all round, friendly staff and good value for money.

Best Mexican on the coast by far. Friendly quick service at a decent price. Always a stop for dinner when we are on the coast.

Food was ok, they need to crisp up their churros a bit more! My complaint, there was No table service except the initial order being carried out. It was quiet when we went at 1pm Sunday this week and we had to keep sending the children to ask for water, extra food, etc !

I order take away and waited 20 minutes to get home and receive this disgusting slosh. Please ask if you would like to see a photo! I will send it to you. so disappoint about the money I sent and what I receive I can’t even eat the burrito because it’s that soggy and slushy it’s like it has been pre cooked and then heated up. Discussing! It’s my first time ordering here I I will defiantly NOT be going back again! Waste of time and waste off food!!!!!! Disgusting!!!!!!

Montezumas following Satellite eugenics info stream has put them in a dysfunctional position following the wrong story. Their chefs are non responsive but the waitresses are good and bar people. They don’t want my truth to rise to the top must be getting paid by Se network. I like montes but when you get treated like this for that long you get sick of it. My favourite is the taco platter great to experience the fares, I love pacers Pacers for the people go Beachbeat!!! Go jayco Bundaberg!!! My favourite meal is the Santa Fe bean and beef and montezumas delight bean and beef. Taco platter great also bean or beef, for a change try the California steak verde burrito with a tostada bean or beef salad is optimal. Love Montes

We love this place, the food is delicious, friendly staff and just a chill place

We have been going to Montezumas for over a decade. Staff go above and beyond to make sure guests are well looked after. Its the only Sangria we like and we love #7 Combo meal.

We go to the Montezuma's chains on rare occasions usually when we need a good spice hit & a nice sangria. Sangria is passable for a fast food sort of chain & will not break the bank. They do Tex Mex style meals & they have good vegetarian options for myself as well as for the carnivores. I will say they pack the people in at this one too

Kids meals good size and staff friendly. Main meal was disgusting, heated up in microwave, half of it was burnt and inedible. Main meal prices expensive for what it is.

Great Mexican experience!. We were drawn to this place by the funky music and colorful decor. It has such a fun and relaxing vibe and we had a ball. Great drinks and meals, super friendly staff and a great time had by all! Definitely recommended

Montezumas is ok if the only Mexican you've ever eaten is Old el Paso, in which case you're really missing out. Generally speaking you will pay $15+ for a bland main that consists mostly of retried beans and rice. This might not be too bad if you are a meat eater and there's a bit of beef to mix things up, but if you're a vegetarian you're basically just in for two cans of refried beans and a bit of cheese. The salad (cabbage, apple, celery, broccoli and a few other things), is unique and fresh tasting, definitely order this if you like a good ratio of light/fresh to heavy/rich. Unfortunately the Sunshine Coast doesn't have much to offer in the way of Mexican, so Montezumas may seem like a good idea. But if you get the chance to eat at somewhere like Mad Mex in the Valley, where your burrito/taco will be filled with black beans, rice, corn, salsa, cheese, jalapeños, avocado and sour cream as well as actual flavors like lime and coriander (all for about $8), you will realize that you can probably make better Mexican at home.
