Review The Yacht Club - Mooloolaba

Love the location; friendly staff; good meals but I went to the Battle of the Bands yesterday and the music was SO inappropriately loud (even with ear plugs) I couldn't stay to listen to 2 bands I especially wanted to see. I could only put up with 10 minutes of pain and had to leave. I think a new sound man is perhaps needed to turn a few knobs down instead of up. I saw several other people leaving for the same reason.

We had our boat in the marina in 2015 and had several meals here. The food was always surprisingly good. The one drawback is they don't have air conditioning, and it can be hot during the summer.

I recently organised for a big family get-together at The Yacht Club. The staff assisting with the planning of the event were more than helpful. It was a great venue with a beautiful outlook. The service was excellent and the meals were delicious with everything arriving just at the right time. I am happy to recommend it as an excellent event venue.

Great meals, great service, great location to host a reasonable sized (5-20) group. Questionable adherence to responsible service of alcohol regulations, which for some might be a plus, was a negative for our group when we had to sit next to a very obviously and loudly drunk group.

Great views of the marina, friendly staff and cool vibes. Great for people watching. Food is variable but at least they don't have chips and bread with everything!

Good party venue. The bands they get there are great. Hopefully after renos it will wtill be good if not better. Need aircon for the summer but.

Great food, nice people, excellent views! Always had fun there - also kid friendly.

Great live entertainment, beautiful good priced food with a courtesy bus that goes nearly all over the coast for free.... And it's right on the water in the marina.

We had a lovely afternoon. Most enjoyable and interesting food. We did share plates so we could explore more flavors. Of course we had the soft shell crab bun - yum! Wine was lovely. Our waitress kept our glasses topped up, wine and water. When we had finished our food and wine, the waitress kept filling our water glasses as my friends and I continued to chat. Very relaxed and enjoyable afternoon spent at Pier 33. Thank you.

My partner and I thought we would drop in here for a drink and some snacks and to check out the new place. We ordered some drinks and bar food (which was described as Tapas like by the bar staff). It's a shame because we loved the renovation but don't think we will be going back as it is overpriced by a ridiculous amount for what we got. The fried chicken roll and the Fish taco we got here were low level cafeteria style and $11 for a bowl of Mcdonalds style fries !!...the lot for around $30. It wasn't tapas style from my experience. As another poster said there are better places up at the Wharf now with similar outlooks and more reasonable prices.

Loved it! Stunning decor, amazing food, wonderful happy staff and a super location! We were a huge fan of the ‘share’ style menu.. we ordered half a dozen options from the snack menu to share and hardly left a crumb - so much better than massive mains and lots of food wastage! The kids loved it also and they were welcomed (not frowned at like a lot of other places at the coast). Congrats to the owners, managers and staff you guys are doing a cracking job

We came up from Brissy for a wedding and it was fabulous. The venue was spectacular. There was plenty of parking. The wedding was in a beautiful function room upstairs with the deck overlooking the marina. The food was delicious. We really couldn’t fault it and would highly recommend Pier 33 if you are looking for a function space.

Terrible service even after I spoke to the matrade, who promptly blamed the staff. We were seated without water or menus and it took about 20 - 30 minutes for someone to take our order. Food was nice but don't hold your breath in waiting for it. Left a sour taste. Won't recommend this place to anyone :-(

We held our Season Launch at Pier 33 this morning and it was fantastic! The venue, food and service were all on point, I'd highly recommend for any corporate event on the Sunshine Coast! Thank you!!

Such a breath of fresh air on the coast. A crisp new venue with attention to service and a great seafood menu. The outlook over the marina is world class. We will be returning for seconds soon!

We have always loved the Yachtie. It was getting stale and the food was under average. NOW we have #Pier33. Fantastic! Renovation looks great. Seating functional. Service really good. Food choices plentiful however if you are not a seafood lover and you are not with a few people who want to share the meat dishes then you absolutely have NO red meat choices. Suggestion would be to have some type of steak type snack??? Anyway overall a great place to enjoy shared plates.

Lovely setting no doubt, but the noise level inside on Saturday night was horrendous. Wet outside so all had to be inside which was unfortunate, but no relief from people noise and music. Mine and wife's ears are ringing 3 hours later, pity the staff. Drink prices are steep, level in wine glass low, had to bring to staffs attention. Apart from that, good.

The location and Reno looks great but unfortunately that’s where it ends for me. There was no aircon just some fans and it was stinking hot my poor husband looked like someone dumped water on him. The food wasn’t terrible but quite flavourless and for what we received abit over priced. Our waitress was lovely but I still feel for the amount of staff floating around the service wasn’t that attentive. I also find it interesting that the seats closest to the water you can only order snacks not the full menu like your in a public bar. So on a beautiful day we were seated away from the view and nobody sitting near the water.

1. Service was the worst I have ever experienced and I’ve been to Europe 2. Cocktails were obviously made in Bangladesh.. because that’s how long they took to arrive 3. Pretty sure I got food poisoning from the chicken #kfcforthewin 4. The power went out ..... twice 5. The manager was rude, staff were incredibly blunt and inattentive. Food is over priced, staff were rude... It unfortunately ruined my night, I won’t be returning.

Great location, beautiful setting. Manager was clueless and rude, just pointing to our table, not bothering to seat us, or give us menus. Overpriced. We were told of some signature dishes that were just deep-fried, over- battered and not tasty (IE soft shell crab and fish taco), but surprised with how fresh and tasty the salmon poke was. Very hit and miss. Wines BTG definitely overpriced and not even that good.

We had an amazing night with great friends, great food and too much wine, exactly what casual dinning on the coast should be. A beautiful location that invites you to share a wine & explore the menu while enjoying the view. Makes you look forward to the weekend! :)

We wandered in after a late afternoon swim at the beach. Even though bookings were heavy, they found us a table and took great care of us. We shared a bottle of bubbles while we waiting for our share plates. We selected the beef, pumpkin, cauliflower and broccolini dishes. They were all sensational and it was such a delight to share food. The pumpkin was outstanding. I think I will come back just to eat that.

We visited Pier 33 last night for dinner. We were blown away with the food - the combinations, the flavours, the taste - absolutely amazing!!!! The service was incredible, the layout and interior design looks fabulous and we will defiantly be back!

Pier 33 has brought Mooloolaba to life! The food is fresh, different and delicious and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The drinks are spot on and I love the idea of shared plates. Thanks Pier 33! See you again soon!
