Review The Black Market Espresso Bar - Mooloolaba

On holidays in Sunshine Coast the other month. My brother recommended us to try black market espresso bar in Mooloolaba. They make the best coffee! Definitely highly recommend checking this place out. My boys absolutely love their hot chocolate too. Their staff are so friendly and I love the location close to the beach. A must visit for coffee lovers.

Coffee is really good and consistent. A small latte is only $4 and comes with 2 chocolate sprinkles and great service. Babycinos are priced at where should be $1, and come with a marshmallow and a chocolate button with sprinkles :-). One of the very few places left that dishes out honest, old fashioned hospitality.

Good coffee. Friendly. Small but good atmosphere. I come to this little cafe every time I visit Mooloolaba (Sunshine Coast). First and foremost it’s open early (5am), even on the weekends. For those of us early risers it’s a great place to start the day or get a few emails sent off. The staff are really friendly, and it shows, they seem to have a committed group of locals coming in and out. The front covered patio always seems to have one friendship group or another laughing and jeering each other on. Black Market Espresso is located just off the main strip of restaurants, kitty corner to the marina. So, it’s less touristy. There are only a couple tables indoors, a two seater couch, and a four tables outside with room for 4 to 6 people. They have an assortment of baked goods, but are definitely not a breakfast joint. Just coffee and a pastry to go for most. The only negative I can see is they seem to be lacking in any mask or check-in policy which at the time of this writing is mandated by the QLD gov’t. I tend to shy away from these type of places, but they’re so darn nice, and open so darn early, I can’t stay away. I wear a mask though. :)

First time visiting this weekend. Excellent coffee and even better vibe. Keep up the great work guys.

Fantastic coffee, friendly staff, and the beach just up the road. It is a relaxing and peaceful place for a coffee... Whatever you order it is sure to put a smile on your face. Definately try the "nitro coffee" they have on tap as it is the next level long black and something different from the norm.

What a wonderful place. Since arriving at Mooloolaba Marina on our boat it's been our go to Cafe. Consistently fabulous coffee no matter which barista is making it. Delicious Clandestino beans full of flavour and beautifully extracted. Not to mention the wonderful staff always friendly, always helpful. Such a kind business. It's a small place, but if you're a coffee nut ...go!

Great location across from SeaLife. Great coffee, awesome coffee and food selection. Staff were very friendly and prompt.

Not the same anymore under new management. Annoyingly your cups and plates are grabbed from under you on your last sip and mouthful. The old guy and woman stand around and swoop. Coffee is still good though
