Moonee Ponds Pizza is an amazing eating experience. You will not find better dining excellence of home style cooking any where. We are so blessed to have Pep and his hard working family and their incredible cooking skills at our doorstep!!

Authentic Italian style Pizzas. The best in the area. Good staff and a hygienic place with an old school touch to it. Must try these pizzas!!

Unreal pizza. Absolutely fantastic and by far the best in the area. Generous toppings, great value and just in-all worth it. Would have been even better if it arrived hot though, which was frustrating part of my experience. I tried to call the store over 20 times and there was no answer, so I had to order off one of the food applications, which I hate doing as it’s less profit for the business. Other than that. I can’t flaw this place.

Worst Garlic Bread Ever(Slices of Flat bread from coles and added garlic on top and tossed on Pan)and the size of Pizza is too small Very disappointed

Been going here for many years. Best pizza in Melbourne 👌

Been going to Moonee Ponds pizza for over 35 years great pizzas sensational menu This place never disappoints. Great staff excellent prices. Also deliver food. In great location near the railway station ..

Moonee Ponds Pizza is by far the best local pizza restaurant within 15km radius. We order every Friday night and it’s always outstanding. Even our friends from across town comment on how excellent it is.
Try the Farmers Pizza!

Really good Pizza. Somewhere in the middle of an traditional Italian style pizza and an Aussie style pizza. The margarita was loaded with cheese as well as being super oily and salty. Loved it!
The Honest Glutton
I came here after driving past one day and seeing it packed to the rim. Was actually excited to see what all the fuss is about. The waiter recommended their special pizza - which turned out to be quite boring and mediocre ... nothing “special” about it. The schnitzel was an authentic dish with fresh chicken and sauce used but again, quite plain. I found myself having to season both dishes with salt or chilli flakes. Sadly I wouldn’t come back

Nice oven baked pizza and generous portioned pastas and parmigiana. Expect a wait on deliveries but wont disappoint. Good place for families too.

Absolutely delicious pizza. Juicy as and thin pizza bases, staff are lovely and very friendly. Pizza was cooked perfectly and came out reasonably fast.

Look, you could probably go to Piazza or Carosello and get yourself some hoity-toity gourmet pizza, but sometimes (like on a Friday night after some beer, or on a Sunday with the remnants of a hangover still kicking around, or when you’re just really f*cking hungry for good pizza) you can’t go past a proper pizza. You don’t want mess around with expensive cheese or “hand cut” whatever ham, you just want something that tastes great, isn’t oily or greasy, and isn’t too heavy on the toppings. These guys get the ratio of topping:base perfect. It’s cooked well. It’s well-priced. The menu is huge. It ticks all the boxes - trust me, you won’t be disappointed. (Also, the baked eggplant is simple but amaaaaazing).

Absolutely love the pizza here (and my partner loves the Parma). It's our regular go to place for weekends. Definitely worth trying out this pizza place.

Dined in here tonight as part of a group of 10.
I had a four corners pizza and gnocchi marinara. Both were pretty good.
Pizza had a relatively thin base and the topping was tasty. The gnocchi was very fresh and the sauce was great tasting as well.
The service was also very helpful so I was fairly impressed overall.
The decor is a little bit dated and daggy but this is probably part of its appeal.

Safe to say this is the best pizza I have ever had. The base was thin and soft. It wasn't greasy and stupidly carb filling making your stomach ache after a few slices. We all consumed copious amounts and noone regretted it. Not over cooked or burnt either. The marshmallow nutella Calzone was brill. I didn't get a photo of the chocolate mousse because it was glorious and I am not over exaggerating (my opinion). The service was good. Family like feel. I must return to try the parma and lasagna (so I'm told). I will definitely return here

Came here with high expectations due to some good reviews I had from friends but was unfortunately let down. I ordered 'Wayne's special' and it was beyond bland, I had to salt and pepper it to make it somewhat enjoyable.. Couldn't taste the parmesan, boconcini, oregano or garlic and the tomatoes used didn't taste like anything. The only memorable part was the crust and the few sprigs of fresh basil.. I wouldn't call it a gourmet pizza. Service was great though!

Edit***
Came here a second time and ordered the boconcini pizza and it was great. So much better than Wayne's pizza.

Was not planning to eat here last night. But I'm so glad we did. Now we know where one of the best pizza places around our area is.

Loved everything we are from here. Pasta was good, but the pizza is where it's at!
To top it all off, the staff were amazing from start to finish. Even as we walked out the door all turned around to say bye. Really felt like a family enviroment.

Will be back here again. And again. And again.

Moonee Ponds pizza is a classic. Old
School pizza with a modern twist. Thin bases, delicious toppings and food service. The Mick's Special is one of my faves because it has these delicious potato pieces on it. The chicken pizza is also good as are the classics. If you're in the area definitely give it a go!

Had a fine in meal here recently. It was well patronised and most dishes being delivered were pizza and pasta that looked good. Service was good. Our table had veal scallopini and chicken parma. The former was tough and tasteless. The side veges were ok by the broccoli was older than me. The Parma was ok but covered in a rich bolognese sauce that was a bit too much for my taste buds. I would stick to the pizza and pasta.

Great food. Great service just great overall!!!!!! Friendly staff and cheap food. Since the new owners this shop has improved massively and more customers are coming just great

The previous owner and staff from 4 years ago have come to bring this place back to the day this was the best pizza restaurant in the area! They have Re-opened last week and the Pizzas are better than ever! i tried the Mick's Special and Staff Pizza it was soooo amazing!! Great Service and atmosphere, cant wait to go back - Just a little Tip (The locals are spreading the word on the return of the new owners and it is already getting busy but well worth waiting an extra few minutes for your order)
Loreana07
Great company but shocking food. Pizza had any sauce on the base. The carbonara gnocchi was pretty much just cream with some cut up bits of bacon in it. Didnt taste like it had been cooked for long enough. Lasagna was very sloppy. Bathrooms need a serious revamp and were not clean at all. Has gone down hill since new owners. Food is very ordinary. Wont be gong back again.
Liam
Really bad pizza for an unforgivably high price. You can do so much better in so many other places on Puckle Street alone. The pizza was on a saturated, doughy base and made with really cheap ingredients.

Thought we would try here again, new owners service was prompt & friendly pizza not so great. Very flimsy bases and hardly any topping. Won't be going back in a hurry
Kalpin1971
Awesome authentic italian food. Love MPPR as they consistently doing great job, despite of very busy place, their staff are very friendly and good service.

EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE WASTE OF MONEY!!! DO NOT BUY. I am so disapointed. the reviews were great so decided to try it, but when it arrived..
I got the pesto pasta, rocking in at $9.50 for an ENTREE i was shocked at how little it was.. and it was just plain pasta with some pesto.. nothing else.!? not to mention it was DROWNING in oil! like i literally could not eat it it was soooo oily.
next onto the mediocre pizza which was very bland and dry, had to add my own sauces.
and to top off dessert I opted for the pancakes which were voted a favourite, and got the 'fresh strawberries' fresh my arse! i looked like a can of very sad processed strawberries DRENCHED and I mean COMPLETELY UNRECOGNISABLY drenched in bright red syrup. it was awful I didnt even attempt to eat it, not a single nice fresh berry insight and the plain maple pancakes my partner got tasted like plastic. VERY DISAPOINTED WOULD NOT RECOMMEND and sooo guttered at how much money I spent!!! EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE! $50 for one pizza, one entree pasta and two, literally two small pancakes. WORST. PLACE. EVER.

Pizza. Farmer pizza is best one. really enjoyed lastweek

I am mad, this place has gone down hill since the new owners have taken over. The pizzas are not fresh anymore. It has lost the family/pizzeria feeling. Rubbish. Might as well turn it into A 7-Eleven.

Moonee pond pizza better than peps pizza
I recommend to everyone don't try and don't go it is to far and waisting your time , no good food and not busy

Thanks

We ordered here for the first time, after much looking to see whether to order from here or another restaurant. My partner doesn't eat on topping on his schnitzel so we ordered 1 x Parma and 1 x plain snitzy. We waited the time only to receive 2 x parmas, 1 chips and 1x salad. When I called back to complain the guy asked what a actually wanted... 10 mins later a call back to confirm order while he argued with the manager/chef. 40 mins later we got the correct order only to have the driver try to not hand over the chips and salad... This place is banned!!! Ps if you order the same meal you will only get one side each.

Do yourself a favour and don't order any pasta unless you like eating canned salmon or canned tomato sauce in your bolognese sauce and pay over 30 dollars for two pastas. Never again.
Ema
Family Friendly and consistently great pizza. I highly recommend the the pizza and it consistently great. Despite it being very busy, the staff are always polite and efficient.

A family friendly restaurant!

Oh my. It's like a suburban pizza joint from the 70s, which made me feel all warm and nostalgic until the pasta arrived. Imagine a sea of green cream with a slosh of bottled passata plopped on top, with overcooked pasta hiding somewhere underneath. So awful it was funny. Other pasta dishes are the reason Australia is suffering from an obesity crisis. Thick with oil and cream. We're not local so relied on these reviews to find a place for a quick meal. Silly me.

Mmmm Yum Moonee Ponds Pizza!. Casual, relaxed dining with friendly staff and a menu packed full of tasty Italian dishes. The generously sized home-made chicken parma was just the comfort food I was after on a cold Melbourne night!
Pickle
Great food and service...relaxed and easy going family restaurant..byo is a bonus and one of the reasons we go there...can be very loud when busy...its not as affordable as it used to be so we only go once in a blue moon...not family friendly from a cost perspective
Andre Hine
Tasty, crispy pizzas. Crust is not too thick and soft like most pizza places these days. Yummy ingredients and friendly staff. I just wished I lived nearby so it was my local pizza shop...

7/10. Haven't been here since management has changed but thoroughly enjoyed the family atmosphere that Moonee Ponds Pizza provided. The meals are large and service friendly, however during busy periods meals may take a while to come out. This restaurant caters for large parties and is a good place to hold a gatherings as well as catering for those on a cute d8. Also a good place if you want to pick up a quality take away pizza.
Derrick
Best Pizza Restaurant. Best place to order with your mates. Very Friendly Service...With varieties of delicious options...
Mario_leo
Excellent food and service. I have been there for more than 10 years meat lover and farmer is ma fav....
management has been changed but still quality and service is same .......going there
Jaqui
Average food & terrible staff. Management was extremely rude & aggressive. Not helpful at all & made a scene when we asked to pay seperately. Never will go back, such a shame old owners were great.
Bob
The pizza is better now then ever b4
Mike
We're the old owner !
Maddi
Have been going here for over 20 years. It has been taken over by different management, the service & food quality had dropped, not sure I will frequent this restaurant as much I used too.
Tiny Dancer
Meh. Pizza was nice but pasta was shocking and staff had no idea.
Maryann
Best Pizza. We love the pizza here and everything else. Good family restaurant
Urbanfork
Good Food. The food here is always of a good quality and is quite authentic. Prices are also good value, plus it's BYO!
Ross Gangemi
Fantastic pizza! Been going here for years. Great service too!

The best pizza in the world. Quite simply the best pizza in the world. Delicious, consistent, fresh and amazing pizzas. Our favourite ? Quattro Stagioni with fatty bits of bacon. OHHH YEAAAAH! OM NOM NOM
Hayley Ingram
Yummo. Absolutely without a doubt the best pizza on the planet! Especially the margarita and Micks Special and you cannot go past their bolognese sauce!
Nissy
Definitely the best pizza I have come across anywhere - especially their Farmers Pizza which consists of tomato base with chilli, potatoes and bacon and I add pineapple :) I'm not the only one who agrees, my dad and his friend go their on a weekly basis and is a great family restaurant, sure on Friday and Saturday there's a bit of a wait but it's worth it!
Pearl Faraj
Best bloody bocconchini pizza. Try it. Can easily go more than once a week!
Ace1T
Best thin base pizza. I agree with previous reviewer on the wait. Sometimes it is long on a busy night like Friday or Sat. Unsure if you can book but been lucky so far when we go there to eat.
The pizza bases are thin and are crispy on the outside which is why I like them. No thick doughy stuff here. A couple of the pasta's are nice too.
Try a cheese and garlic pizza as a starter.
Food Hound
They make, without doubt, A GREAT PIZZA. The fact they have 2 telephone numbers tells you something. Expect to wait up to an hour for your pizza on a busy night but the wait is worth it!
MuchInTheClutch
At best its a good take out pizza parlor. It does well cos of it's location nothing too appealing other than pizza. Meals get cold quick cos they come out just warm. Staff aren't the friendliest from experience and aren't the most professional.
Julius D'urden
Went there first time - place looked a little dodgy at first but staff were ultra friendly and food was delicious. Best Italian food I've had for ages. Happily recommend it!
Peter Goodman
Prices have increased, quality remains OK. I love the friendly family atmosphere here, and dining in is relaxed and friendly for families. Cheap take-away pizza it is not though. so expct to pay aroung $60-70 without drinks for a family of four.
Melissa
Best pizza in the southern hemisphere! Seriously delicious thin base.
