I love the food here! I’ve had Tom yum noodle soup and seafood curry laksa, they are both very nice. I am happy with the portion size, the vegetables and seafood taste very fresh and yum. Definitely recommend ❤️

I have visited a few times, the food is consistently good. delicious, lots of variety, and everything well balanced. I had a sea food pork Nasi Goreng, Sea food Laksa, crab, thai tea, and veg samosa so far. All are good. My favourites are - Veg Samosa - delicious Nasi Goreng - not at all oily, rare find! Laksa sea food - 4/5 great! Staff are very friendly

The place is neat, friendly staff, food taste good. But if I could suggest for the salmon to be served in one piece, not diced, so it does not get over-cooked and become hard and dry

An honest and wonderful hidden foodie gem in Moonee Ponds. The service is warm and genuine, the food is generous, fresh and delicious, we have become weekly regulars and love it!

Ven and her husband are most gracious of hosts and always make you feel welcome and at home. There are no words to describe the food other than brilliant in flavour. The chef hats of to you I don't think anything he cooks could taste anything other than magnificent. Great place Def our favourite.

A friend and I enjoyed the most delightful meal here this week. The restaurant was very quiet because of covid restrictions and the proprietor (who was also our waitress for the evening) shared with us how difficult business has been during the last few months. This is such a shame because if people aren't dining here, they're missing out on AMAZING food and impeccable service! The food was truly something. We ordered the vegetarian curry puffs and some fried chicken dumplings for starters, then had a pork belly dish recommended to us by the proprietor as well as a basil/garlic/ginger fried vegetables with chicken, plus rice. Everything was delicious, piping hot and served with a great attitude. To top it off, we received a complimentary banana dumpling which was wonderful as well! Great value for money. Highly recommend and I'll be dining there again! Thank you, Oriental Flavour.

We weren't even sure if we should visit this place , but decided to enter anyways as I was looking for a quiet place .I have to compliment the lady at the counter who was not only extremely hospitable but served us the best Asian food .she made it spicy as we asked for it .we ordered Singapore prawns and egg noodles which were soo delicious and fresh.i would definitely visit again .thank you so much, you made out day,Anuja.

Ps: if you are Indian and miss desi Chinese, it's pretty close.please do visit.😊

Great family owned restaurant with a good selection of Asian cuisine from thai to vietnamese and Chinese.
Service is friendly and efficient. The food is delicious while portions are generous and everything is well priced. Interior is warm with spacious seating. Definitely worth a try.

Another fantastic dinner tonight. This place is a reliable favourite of ours. I recommend you give it a try. There’s lots of choices in Moonee Ponds but I find it hard to go past this place

On a rainy day, we walked along this street and tried to find something that hot and spicy. So by chance we passed this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness, no words can express my feeling right now. Their food was super super delicious. We ordered Combination Tomyum and Pad Thai. Can't expect more because it was so much tasty. Definitely come back and try more. They got Pho as well. I just wanna say " don't judge a book by its cover" . Highly recommend to everyone who wanna have Asian food in Moonee Ponds

Hainanese chicken rice not the same as I am used to buying. Swimming in soy not on bone chicken over cooked and no skin, no soup. Chilled in dish rather than on side. Not what I was hoping for. Service was ok light and bright surrounds.

3.5
We have walked past this nondescript restaurant in Puckle Street Moonee Ponds numerous times without the slightest of desire to enter.
That changed last week when we happened to park outside and observed that there were a number of tables occupied with diners at 11.15 in the morning.
Something about that indicated it should perhaps be given a try.
Decided on take aways following evening.
The name of the Restaurant is very apt as the dishes are all over the place from influences of Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinese, Thai and even Australian unique (Sweet and Sour Pork)!
Pleasantly surprised. Duck with Chili and Lemon Grass, Spinach with Dried Scallops and a serve of Coconut Rice.
Will be giving it a sit down visit.

Often you wonder how good the food will be when you are visiting a restaurant that has to compete with so many others adjacent or within the immediate area. Moonee Ponds has one of the highest outlets per block, making it very competitive for the owners and very confusing for the customers. By chance I stumbled upon Oriental Flavour Restaurant, only because I had to make a quick decision. I got a pat on the back from my partner for choosing the right venue! Van is a most warm and gracious owner, who approaches everyone with a smile, and delivers some of the most flavoursome dishes I have ever had in the West. Her husband is the cook, and he can knock out some really tasty dishes, whether it be Thai, Vietnamese, Malay, or Chinese. It's no wonder, they get up early every morning and pick the freshest vegetables from the markets, and even grind fresh peanuts for the peanut sauce! We had the lunch specials (combination seafood and seafood mee goreng), with satay chicken skewers and Thai tea. The spicy combination was flavoursome and not over the top in spice, emphasizing the ingredients, and the well-seared meats melt in the mouth. Thai or Malay, both dishes are a hearty size accompanied by a regular serve of rice. They don't skimp on the lunch menu! To top it off, we finished with banana dumplings: coconut and banana baked in banana leaves topped with ice cream. Superb! The skewers were a little on the thin side, but that peanut sauce was amazing as it is freshly made in-house. Combining fresh tasty food with a warm and friendly atmosphere, you will have the same exact experience we had at Oriental Flavour. The taste and service will bring you back here promptly. A 4.5 out of 5 from me.

My friend and I went to Oriental Flavour last Saturday. The service was excellent and the food was alright except for a couple of tiny things. They forgot the soy sauce in my Pad Thai and my friend's seafood Mee Goreng they forgot the lemon and the peanuts. It was a bit on the small side for lunch but oh well

One of the few places open on Puckle Street on Boxing Day. They did warn there would be a wait for the food but the wait was excessive. Additionally, we had no cutlery, waited ages to get a take away container to pack the leftovers, waited ages to pay, etc. Pity, as the food was excellent.

I've been going to this restaurant for lunch for a couple of months and have always found the food good and the service very friendly and excellent. The prices are very reasonable. The seafood curry laksa is a "must try".

I was very surprised to get my meal quickly, it was hot and tasty. Feeling the need for some fish, I ordered Rockling with chilli. I was asked by the hostess how my meal was. I said for the first time I had fried fish that was not oily and overwhlemed by batter, because mostly they have been. Despite being very busy - three chef's I was told, I had great service and the food was plentyful. Extras were no trouble. Staff were very pleasant engaging, helpful and above all patient, as I didn't know what to choose.

Have been coming here for a few weeks now. I've tried both dine-in and take-away meals and all were very good. Definitely recommend giving it a try.
