Review The Green Leaf - Moonee Ponds

Andrew L
Nice little Vietnamese restaurant located in moonee ponds. Reasonably priced and flavoursome. Service was also friendly and attentive. The pho was good, tasted more on the herbal side which isnt a bad thing. Only thing we were surprised by was the sugarcane prawns were not on actual sugarcane. Not a huge thing but something to keep in mind.

Always a quick a tasty lunch special, and there is quite a few lunch time dishes to choose from. The service is quick and friendly. The only downside was the eftpos was down and therefore unavailable last time I visited.
Tania Drummond
The food , service and location are all perfect if your about Moonee Ponds. Ive eaten here many time's as you can alway's be seated. The staff are fabulous and alway's happy to recommend something. Drinks are cold , food temp is always perfect. Prices are affordable for any budget.

Special fried rice says it comes with pork but there was no pork. Raised with staff and they said they hadn't changed the menu yet and it no longer comes with pork. They gave me $2 discount. The poop shoots in the prawns are still there, check photo. Not recommended.

This would come as a surprise as my review will be the complete opposite to the reviews so far. Perhaps there's been a change of management...? For starters, they missed the spring rolls entree from my take away order, excuse the pun. The beef and chicken pho soup had leaked from the containers, so half the soup was in the take away plastic bag. Here comes the main - the beef and chicken in our dishes were off-cuts meat and almost half were just fat and gristle - not what you'd expect in pho and totally inedible! Looking at the bright side at least our pet dog didn't mind it!

Love coming here for a bowl of Rare beef Pho! Especially on a cold day after yoga/Pilates next door at studio 3. Service is super friendly and it’s only $10.90 including soft drinks with lunch special. Hidden gem, truly recommend it!
Alex
I like their lunch special menus, one of my favorite restaurant in this area. (Update: They would not serve the free soda if you don't ask. This is not just a mistake once in a blue moon, they always do that. Because of this, I removed one star.)

What a bargain lunch for $10.90 Lemongrass Chicken with a can of coke. I just couldn't believe how tasty the food was, service was slow but worth the wait. Very small intimate location but really nice food, I didn't even need dinner that evening.
Renee @thehappyorganicgirlau
Affordable and tasty Vietnamese food, the rare beef pho was some of the best I’ve had in Melbourne. A delicious, hearty serve with plenty of basil and bean sprouts. We also had the ginger and prawn dumplings which were really yummy!
Scrumptious GG
We were in the area and keen for asian food. Saw the sign of special lunch for only $10.90 and a can of soft drink included. Why not?
I ordered a lemongrass chicken on rice, and my friend had a salt & pepper chicken ribs with rice, and we shared pork chives dumpling soup for our entree.
The entree actually came in the middle of us having our lunch. My lemongrass chicken was salty, and so as the dumpling soup. But my friend's chicken ribs surprisingly lacked of salt (and pepper), it tasted quite bland. Luckily the sweet chili came to the rescue and lifted up the taste a bit.
To be fair, the lunch special's portion were quite generous considering the price.
Quick service from the staffs.
Been here many times, they do great lunch specials. Generous portions sizes and really good quality food for what you’re paying. Great pho and very nice wait staff. Vegetarian springs rolls highly recommended

With Moonee Ponds quickly growing there are a number of places around for a meal - and this one tonight took our fancy. The food was fresh and tasty. Would come back for the vegetarian spring rolls and prawn dumplings! Bit of a weird vibe with front of house were holding the place together, smoothing over the poor communication and management behind the scenes.

Visited here based on a friends suggestion. Very friendly service and family run. We shared a lot of food. Started with the Mongolian beef which was outstanding, Honey and Soy chicken vermicelli noodles, also fantastic, salt and pepper calamari which was my favourite of the night and finished with some rice paper rolls which were good but not on par with the rest. Bonus: You can donate some loose change to help support orphans over in Vietnam, there's a photo display at the counter of where the money is going, we thought this was a great touch and we asked the staff about it and he showed us in detail the kids and himself helping out at the schools.

This is a good place to eat. One thing which disappointed me was the quantity of food for which you are paying. The dumplings that we ordered were good quality but size was very small. The fried rice was also good.
Mark Robins
Yuck! Worst ever. I think the food was microwaved. Very disappointing. We ate less than half and walked away. My friend was sick afterwards. Waste of money and very dirty!
Jack Duncan
After eating at green leaf previously, we were looking forward to returning. Unfortunately the food was disappointing, it was quite bland. At this point I wouldn't return.
Krystyna Rodic
Really lovely place. Cost less than $50 for drinks, meal and a shared entree for two people. Great staff and service. Fresh lemonade was amazing. Will go back when I'm around the area.
Sanela Cehic
All i can say is best vege spring rolls ive had anywhere .... absolutely amazing. Lemon lime and butters was wonderful. One my fav viet places to eat
Pete Ristevski
Woah! Blown away with serving size! The photo uploaded is the lemongrass chicken and rice that I ordered. As you can see, I have separated the chicken from the bean sprouts, just to demonstrate the 2 whole whooping spoonfuls of chicken! After eating 1 spoonful I was done. Wow!

(Please note, there might be some sarcasm in my review)

Wandered past here and though I would try it. Lovely Pho- chicken had honey marinade
that was lovely or can get it plain too! Potato prawns where nice tooooooo!
Kwanzai
Terrible food. Noodles in phô are the dry instant ones. Chicken was so dry it looked mummified. Who puts lettuce in papaya salad😩Over-priced for awful quality. You're better off heading to Footscray for affordable food that is fresh and authentic. Will never return. Don't waste your money or time.
Mandy Hughes
Really foul place to eat, dirty, and the food we ordered was stale (probably from a few nights back), after which, I felt really sick. The staff was extremely rude as well, I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Superman
Been here a few times and always order the Fried Pork on Rice with Egg. Awesome fresh dish with a nice texture. Green Leaf has excellent value for money. The restaraunt is small but it adds to the Vietnamese experience. A couple of times we have been rejected a table as we didn't have a booking, but thats fair enough I guess?- It means others have cought on to this gem too ;).

We came here 2 weeks ago, expecting great Vietnamese food. What we found was total disappointment. Food was below average, which lacked Vietnamese flavours.
Sandra Savy
Great place for dinner fresh well cooked and affordable for young family staff very friendly the vege spring rolls were beautiful reminded me of Vietnam

This place has recently reopened after renovation and appears to have changed hands. Felt it was only so-so before, but the food has certainly improved and we have enjoyed some excellent Vietnamese food here since the change. Can highly recommend the crisp fresh Hanoi spring rolls and potato prawns for entree. Absolutely delicious! The dumpling broth was loaded with plump pork dumplings and we thoroughly enjoyed a generous serve of lemongrass chicken. Service was friendly and prompt and we will be back ....again and again .

Some of the better Vietnamese going around. Great flavours. Clean fresh food. Service is fast. Try it for a casual night out. And they stock 333!
JLR50
Had dinner here recently on a Saturday night - a party of ten. Apart from s couple of dishes - fried dumpling and a beef main that resembled mince meat - the consensus was that the food is flavoursome and good quality. Certainly tastier than a many Vietnamese restaurants that tend to offer up bland meals. Service was good, byo, not over the top prices. Will return.
Katrina
It was ok.. A little bland in flavour but still ok. The entrees were a lot better than the mains. Stock up on a variety of entrees and you'll be right.
Cindy Moschoyiannis
I found the food here to be ok. Nothing spectacular though and it was also pretty expensive compared to the other nearby restaurants. We were the only customers for dinner on a Thursday night so it did lack atmosphere. They should turn off the Tv and put some music on. The staff were friendly.
Belinda-Mary BumbleBee
Nice cosy vietnamese place. They grow their own herbs. Staff were friendly and the meals were out quickly. Wasn't much of a fan of the prawn dumplings (seemed quite small and had a strange taste) but the vermicelli beef noodle dish was good.
N
Poor service and average food... They forgot our take away order and when we went back to enquirer its whereabouts they were closing and advised that they had forgotten. 20 mins later our food arrived ... The spring roll pastry was old and tasted bad, the filling was questionable.. Satay skewers were tasty however experience was ruined by lack of service!
Lara Romanovich
Beautiful food (the ginger chicken was amazing) but don't go if you're in a hurry. There were 5 of us and by the time the last person got her meal the rest of us were almost finished. Still, the sizzling prawns were apparently worth the wait in the end
Casualfoodie
So tasty! Haven't had a bad meal here... Except I don't recommend the vegetarian spring rolls as they're not outstanding. Salt and pepper octopus and seafood fried rice are stand outs.
Wilhel Mina
A sticky floor and food remnants under our table were not a good sign on entering.
After being told there was no curry available the choices were not inspiring.
The food was quite average , vegetables did not look fresh a large rice was tiny and again did not look fresh.
The story on the front of the menu makes the restaurant sound authentic, so expectations are built, but the food was quite a let down. Service was average too, will not be returning. I felt our hard earned money was thrown away with these faux dishes and lack of ambience
Apfel Chen
We was dinning outside and the staff told us that we need to pay first or give them our ID. However, we are the only one group to been asked for that. We checked with other table. None of them have been asked pay first or leave ID while we are the only Asian group customer. This is really insulting and made me feel disgusting. Definitely we won't go back again.
Anne Marino
Two thumbs up from us! Food and service was great. We weren't kept waiting for long. Prices were very reasonable too. Will definitely be back!

I have been meaning to try this place for a while, so i finally did. The vegetarian dumplings i had for entree were excellent and probably the highlight of my meal. The sizzling steak dish was nice, but the beef was a bit tough. Good flavours though. Also had a chicken vermicelli that was quite nice. Overall it was a nice experience
Daniel Amato
Terrible food don't waste your money
Worst take away I have ever bought
Don't waste your money
Over sweet dressing
Very average prawn spring rolls
Undercooked chicken salad worst flavour combo ever
Beef satay is that even beef had the worst texture of meat
Never ever again
Jennifer Renee
I have only had take away once but I rate it as the best Vietnamese in Moonee Ponds. The rare beef pho is delicious as are the dumplings. Will be going back to try more.
Food Is Life 👌
Sadly we were disappointed. Food came out worryingly too quick and was a bit bland, there were bugs flying around our head and the service struggled a bit.
Maryanne Davies
Very disappointing. We visited Green Leaf as most the reviews seemed promising and were extremely disappointed. Having eaten a lot of Vietnamese food both in Vietnam and Australia we found the food tasteless with an oily after taste as well as very small servings for the price charged. We had wontons and could not see any filling just the fried wonton shel which was oily. The dumplings we ordered were tasteless and we also had pork mince with basil and beans. The mince was oily and we could not see any basil. It was really disappointing as we were hoping to find a nice Vietnamese restaurant in our local area. Having said that the staff were very pleasant and we didn't have to wait long for our meal even though it was busy. Sorry but we won't be going back :(

TASTE EXPLOSION. I don't usually go for Vietnamese fare for dinner- it's healthy, sure, but it's usually all very same-same, nothing overly tasty- and I like TASTY....I was invited to Green Leaf for a friend's birthday dinner, and OH MY GOD I was blown away. We opted for the Chef to feed us whatever she thought was the best items, and everything she brought us was just next level amazingness. I can't remember ever eating such a tasty (and healthy) Asian meal that was also affordable, even after we threw a few bottles of wine into the mix. Think Cookie in the CBD, but without the guilt-inducing bill to settle after you're done enjoying yourself.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Even worth making the trip out to Moonee Ponds if you're not a local (Which I wasn't)

I have frequently been here for lunch as its close by my office, one reason is they have a grilled pork (nam nueng) bun or vermicelli which not all places make. Its also $10 which is cheap and a good serving. The bun is ok, probably not enough of tue various herbs to make it the true taste of viet but would be solid for the western clients in the area. The owners are good people, a younger viet couple although younger is now all relative. See image of the bun which I chopped off the squewers and mixed in the bowl. Horrendous! Waited an hour and a half for delivery and called three times only to be told "it's almost there". Finally cancelled ordered and went for burgers - then the delivery guy turned up 2 1/4 hours after placing the order!

Incredible food, 5 star service!. Hands down the most delicious, fresh and flavoursome Vietnamese food in Melbourne. But don't get too full, the coconut deserts are the star of the show!

A Local gem. Amy and her husband T always greet and meet me in a friendly professional manner. Nothing is too much trouble.
Food is fabulous- v fresh and reasonably priced. I love the decor of the place and respect the efforts this couple is making with the orphanage in Vietnam.
Keep up the good work guys!!
i will keep coming back and recommending your great place

Annie

The best Vietnamese in Melbourne. I am an avid lover of Viet cuisine, having travelled extensively through vietnam, and consequently become obsessed with Vietnamese cooking. I have scoured melbourne for amazing Vietnamese food and this place has it!! Fantastic flavours, AMAZING and friendly service. My partner is the hardest person to impress, and this is his new favourite restaurant. 11 out of 10!!
Peter
Yum tried them for first time tonight and I will be back. Best dish has to be the Vietnamese coleslaw with a perfect mix of sweat and salty dressing. Would also recommend lemon grass chicken.

Good honest food ... returning customers. Very nice friendly service. Food is honest and tasty. Love coming here. Best - green papaya salad, calamari, and more. Surprised this place only gets 73% likes as it is way better than Chili Pepper which gets 82% likes.
Mark.mcleod87
Such a let down. Ordered some takeaway from here and was sorely disappointed. The beef Pho was so salty, the "beef" was like the inside of a chicken nugget, reconstituted poor quality and grey. the beef satay skewers were not pieces of beef but mince, more like kofta on a stick and the satay sauce was mediocre and tasted like it came from a catering tub.

Would not go back and would rather get in the car and drive 15 minutes to one of several better restaurants in the vicinity.
Vaug
Not great. I will give it the benefit of the doubt. I had the spring rolls - ok but no vietnamese mint. Then I had the pancake which at $17 was way overpriced; a few little, canned or frozen shrimp and a couple of pieces of pork. The overwhelming taste was of bean sprouts. The person next to me had chicken which was very pink at the bone. I will give the restaurant another try but it wasn't a good first visit.
Annalise De Mel
I love to support a local, but unfortunately when we went the food was pretty tasteless. Much prefer Huyen Linh 2 and Pho Viet on Puckle St for flavour and better price.
Michi
Amazing food! Service was great too. Great place to sit outside with a beer and awesome fresh food. Definitely recommend!!

I visited this place for the first time last weekend with friends and enjoyed it so much I'm returning this weekend to introduce my boyfriend to it. The food is cheap and tasty and the staff are welcoming and friendly. What more could you want?!
Lover Of Good Food
So Love this place, Great little local !. Have been eating here since first opened . Living in the area for four years so nice to have a local tasty Vietnamese/Asian resturant close to home. No need to travel to the over the top Flemington or Footscray for great Asian. Wonderful slice of heaven. Is going from strength to strength. Beautifully run by wonderful friendly management and staff, Always pleasing. Fantastic food ! Great addition to Moonee ponds. Come try you will not be disappointed.

FAVOURITE. The honey soy chicken and vermicelli noodles are AMAZING. The vegetarian spring rolls are by far the best I've ever had. Service is wonderful, love the atmosphere and I will happily dine there multiple times a week.
Veronica P
Terrible pho broth. The beef pho broth was overly fatty and salty, possibly the worst pho I've had in Melbourne. It's definitely worth travelling to Footscray or Preston for a better beef pho. I just wish there were more yummy pho options in the northern suburbs.

Also, I asked for sliced beef only and was given unsatisfying sliced beef along with beef balls and brisket. The rice paper rolls I ordered were quite decent along with their slightly spicy hoisin dipping sauce. We also ordered lemongrass chicken which was tasty, but the grossly disappointing pho ruined this place for me.
Chris
Great food and full of flavour
Dianne Arstall
Great little find. Went to the local wine bar a few doors down and order some vietnamese to be delivered. Prompt service with friendly staff. Rice paper rolls was a little heavy on the vermicelli but good in size and very fresh. All the mains ordered were well liked across the table. Will definitely order again to enjoy the food.

Best vietnamese food, amazing staff! MUST VISIT ASAP. Where to begin, every member of the Greenleaf staff are lovely and friendly
everytime I visit I am welcomed by name and my usual food orders are remembered and prepared very quickly. The staff kindly prepare my coconut juice cutting the coconut into small pieces without any refusement or trouble,
we have had many birthdays at Greenleaf and every friend we take with us when we goto the restaurant loves the flavours and different food varities

I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant, I highly recommend you eat here it will soon become your favourite place!

the tofu salad, satay, seafood hot pot, lemongrass prawns and honey soy chicken are defiantely a must try

Ami congratulations on your lovely restaurant, so proud of you
see you soon & for more raw food lunch dates

:)
Brunswick Coffee
Friendly Prompt Service. I went with my wife and 3 kids on a Saturday night and the staff made us very welcomed. Basic setting but in keeping with the overall theme. Food came out quickly and was really fresh and tasty. The satay was the winner for us. Next time we will go the soup. Prices were OK and we would be more than happy to head back for another visit.
Sweetie
Lovely. Everything is made from scratch and is fresh and delicious. The owner is lovely to my son and that is what I care about most. What a gem in Moonee Ponds. People who do not like it are most welcome to leave the tables free for people who appreciate fresh, non msg food. Quite frankly, the complainers can go and dine in the dirty msg handouts in Richmond and Footscray as far as I am concerned. Thanks, Amy for making such a great place!
Ateria
Small wonder tucked in a moonee ponds corner - will come back and invite family and friends
Ishtiak Khan
Staff were friendly. Food however wasn't That great. Vegetables weren't cut well and food was bland. Not enough tofu nor pork in the mains. I've had better at more reasonable prices.
Piers Greville
Although the staff are friendly and efficient the food here lacks flavour and substance. I ordered the vegetarian rice paper rolls and all they consisted of was rice noodles and a strip of tofu. The dipping sauce was also bland and watery. Next I ordered the vegetarian noodle soup. The soup lacked vegetables and noodles. The flavour of the soup was very clean and although I could taste the pho spices (star anise etc) it just did not hit the spot. With prices almost $4 more than Footscray I know I WILL make the effort to go to Footscray next time I need my Vietnamese hit.
Margiestar
Fresh rice paper rolls. Yum too!

-----15 May, 2013-----

Nice spicy beef noodle soup. Price ok. Serving size a little small for $ and definitely could've done with more noodles and beef for price too. Service slow. Hoping they take feedback on board and improve. I understand that they are a new business. Let's see how they fare after a few more visits and in a few months time. Am willing to give another go!
Tess Spalliera
YUM. Have been here a few times and I love it. No need to go to Footscray to get Pho anymore.
Kiss And Eat Up
I have to say I have now eaten here on 5 separate occasions and cannot fault the food or service at all . I am really suprised reading the negative feedback . The pork satay was fantastic !!
The beef salad, the pork vermicelli salad were both fresh and had a fantastic dressing on the side. I had the lemongrass chicken with rice which was also full of flavour and clearly fresh. This place is definitely worth a try if you are in the area , they have Vietnamese beers and traditional Vietnamese coffee and desserts so give it a go.
Dave Geffories
Nice addition!. This was our 3rd visit, we tried the beef salad again. It was nice, crispy & fresh.Full of flavours, the colour & texture was wonderful. We're a family with 3 kids so $12 for rice noodles-Cheap Eat! Very friendly staff, nice of them to sort out the kids order first so we could enjoy ours. Quick tip- the beef skewers goes well with a bottle of beer
MelbourneMiss
Unfortunate. It's unfortunate that the food doesn't hit the mark here as I think they could fill a gap in the Moonee Ponds dining market.

But the beef skewers were no good. The meat was was d-r-y. The sauce was average. 2 skewers on top of cold, plain vermicelli noodles was not good value for the price. The coleslaw, which I normally love in Vietnamese restaurants, was pretty awful. Really watery and the balance of flavour was just not there.

Given how much it cost and how little I enjoyed the meal, I'll be spending my Moonee Ponds take away dollar somewhere else.
Nathaniel Stockley
Leaf Busters. Was optimistic the opening of ‘The Green Leaf’ would provide another exciting eating option for Moonee Ponds, but regrettably after dining in twice and ordering take away on another occasion, I’m yet to have a gratifying meal.

So far I’ve tried the Vermicelli with Grilled Beef (bun bo nuong), Lemongrass Chicken on Rice and a serve of Rice Paper Rolls with pork & prawns and I haven’t found a pleasing dish yet.

Perhaps there are some more exciting offerings on the menu and I’ve merely ordered incorrectly, however after three failed attempts I’m starting to wonder.

They’re friendly folks and I believe it’s their first restaurant venture, so I sincerely wish them the best of luck, but sadly the dishes I’ve encountered have been rather disappointing.
AR
Great find. No need to go all the way to Richmond or Footscray for great Vietnamese. Great service and great food. Spring rolls were perfect and we loved the lemongrass chicken. We'll be back to make our way through the menu!

Couldn't be happier :). Was here tonight with close friends and we couldn't be happier with the fantastic food and service. The restaurant was busy but staff were still attentive and took time out to explain the meals and made delicious recommendations. We had a variety of meals ranging from rice to vermicelli noodles with either grilled pork or chicken and everyone was satisfied. Spring rolls were rolled to perfection and the sugar cane drinks were fresh.

It can be seen that a lot of attention to detail has been taken into preparing the meals, as everything looked fresh, colourful and was still crispy.

A shout out to the owner who was nice enough to sit down and checked to see if we were satisfied with our dinner, in which of course we were.

We couldn't be happier and we are definitely coming back.
Herb Guazon
Nice food, fresh and tasty! - friendly owners, great new spot, can not recommend it enough.
David D
Rice paper rolls were super fresh, the pho broth was tasty and the iced lychee drink sooo refreshing!

Service was slow but friendly. Well worth the wait in the end. One suggestion would be to move the blender into the kitchen. Very hard to hear anything once it was on. Delicious :)
Bkl
Really friendly and helpful staff who took their time to explain the food and make great recommendations. Food taste fresh, clean and authentic. Overall a great addition to the area
Antonie
It is extremely one of my favourite restaurants. Must try Pho and Pancake there. All foods are fresh, unfrozened. Nice staff. It's very busy on the weekends so foods come out slowly.
Jay Jay
Worth the Wait!. My wife wanted to try this little place out, called 3 times no answer so we walked down & realised it was all fully booked & busy. Nice friendly waitress cleared the table for us, took our ordered & was very confident in explaining all the dishes & specials. We ordered the steam dumpling took a while because it was freshly steamed in porcelain& not bamboo like Chinese yum cha. Worth the wait, best dumpling & will be ordering 3servings next time! Friendly service, very busy during dinner time probably explains why they did not pick up the phone, only negative
Debrah
Took the family here for dinner, we shared the vietnamese pancake, must say ive had this in richmond but not this good. the flavours are wonderful, fresh & very crunchy unlike other places that are soggy. Wonderful service, the staff was very busy but still stopped to pour our drinks.will come back!
GrumpyBum
Dislike turns to like. I'm a long time "I love Pho" (richmond) lover, and was forced into trying the Pho from Green leaf tonight by my boyfriend. I was very negative from the start, but must say that I might have been hasty in my judgement. We had the beef brisket pho - the broth was flavourful and delicate, didn't seem to have that over salty MSG flavour, whilst the meat was succulent and juicy. Well priced too. My only two criticisms would be about the amount of meat provided (would be good to have more) and the lack of the oil+chilli combo that "I Love Pho" has perfected. Otherwise, this is a good local alternative to making the trip over the bridge to richmond. Good service from staff as well :)

So bad it was funny. I know its a new restaurant and expect some teething problems but this was ridiculous.

1. For some reason they have trouble answering the phone. No idea why considering the place was half empty. Its almost as if they deliberately don't answer it.

2. We were sat down and informed it wasn't licensed. Okay not a great start but anyway we ordered a coke and mineral water each. There were 4 other full tables at this time. I could see the cans of drink in the fridge near the cash register. 10 minutes later, no drink. Not even water. I asked the waiter and he apologized and said he would bring them shortly. 3 minutes later he walked over to the fridge, opened the door and gave us the cans of drink. We poured them ourselves !!!!

3. The menu is a mish mash of everything and there is no explanation of what each meal contains. For example, one item just lists 'Vietnemese Pancake' . No description of what's in it or whether its entree, main or even dessert.

4. 1 entree and 2 mains arrived together - Because of the amount of dishes, the waiter pulled another vacant table nearby and joined it up with ours. 10 minutes later, the remaining entree arrived !!!!!!

5. The food itself was terrible. The spring rolls were obviously frozen and then reheated. The pastry was nice but the filling was cold inside.. The beef stir fry was simply browned beef mince and some green beans. The mince was not seasoned and had zero flavour. The 'pancake' was simply overpowered with cooking oil.

I don't like writing bad reviews as I know how hard it is for new businesses however this was simply poor.
PA
You have to be kidding. So .... You have to be kidding.
So bland I may as well have stayed home and ate white bread.
Vegetarian option = same price but with no ingredients.
There are so many better options in Hall St alone that there is no need to visit this place.

Trying to convince a Footscray resident to go elsewhere for Vietnamese is like selling coal to Newcastle, but if Moonee Ponds is close to you, give Green Leaf a try. Their prices are a bit dearer than Footscray or Sunshine but they have a lovely little story behind their business and their food is obviously made with care. Their Facebook page is here.
