What a lovely cafe tucked away in the back streets of Moonee Ponds. The first issue was parking, as most of the surrounding streets required permit parking. However, the food itself was very tasty and well presented. In particular, the pastas leave you wondering if you were dining in Italy. The staff were very attentive and lovely although the restaurant itself got quite warm on a day that was not particularly hot. The cannelloni was lovely. I wish my stomach had space for the pastries and gelati as they all looked scrumptious! A project for another day I suppose. A lovely way to spend a lazy Sunday morning!
OMG - this venue was absolutely perfect. We had an 18th birthday party, the service was truly outstanding great dj space, great dance floor area, great seating, balcony to cool down if we needed, very family focussed service, food was very very tasty, whatever we wanted they could provide, alcohol selection amazing, lighting was perfect... highly recommended
An interesting industrial setting a few minutes walk from Moonee Ponds junction. A limited but very good breakfast/ lunch menu. We had the smashed avocado on sourdough bread with dukkah and the salmon with poached eggs. Both were very tasty and generous serves. The hot chocolate and long black coffee were very good. Well worth visiting if you are in the neighbourhood.
Had been here for coffee and bought bread a few times but we were advised to try their pizzas. They are now open Thurs - Sun for pizza and pasta. The pizzas are very large and very tasty. Will be going back to try the pasta. This is not a place that will get 'walk ins' due to location and is a great find for locals (as the word will soon spread). We had a great meal here and looking forward to coming back.
Staff was friendly. Recommend the avo! The bread was really nice I guess it’s the rye sourdough! Will come back again to try other bakery and sweets.
Located in a residential/ commercial setting this proved to be a great ‘brunch’venue.
Secluded away from the regular Puckle St eateries, this Bakehouse stands in its own right.
Menu is inviting with a good range of options - but for me a generous ‘antipasto’ @ $21 did not disappoint at all. Complimented by an extensive range of pastries / desserts —- this place is a “keeper “.
A great little gem in a backstreet away from the main busy Mt Alexander road. Went there on a cudo voucher and this establishment did not disappoint. The staff were pleasant, the place was clean and we could not fault. We had the hamburger and fish & chips. Very delicious. Coffee was good, desert was the best you can get. Will definitely go again.
Nice open space. Great traditional pastries.
Open space with kids toys in the corner.
Maybe some improvement on the coffee. But we will be back.
Cosy bakery. Great little play area for little ones to entertain themselves while you have breakfast and a coffee. The coffee was good and the croissant was delicious. The baked eggs were over cooked and a bit flavourless. Will comeback again.
Loved this place. Came here for mothers day lunch. We had the avo smash, beef burger, vegie panini with added avo ($5- which is the only thing that was a bit expensive i thought) and 2 canoli. Chai latte for drinks. Came to a toal of $57.30 for three people, with one hot drink. Service attentive and friendly. Would recommend and will definitely be back- looking forward to it.
