Review Red Brick Road - Moonee Ponds

The only cafe open on Good Friday. Family run business (from Thailand). Good service, good coffee. Haven’t had the chance to try their food yet but based on what I see other people ordered, it also looks pretty good. Will sure return and give their food a try next time.

I've been here twice, once was pretty bad and the second time i want to give them another chance but they didn't redeem themselves. The staff are just plain rude to customers and other staff members. There is just a general unfriendly vibe when you walk in the place. It's pretty awkward waiting for a meal when you can hear someone getting yelled at. Both times I was there I had to wait over half an hour for my food and the place wasn't even busy. I guess they rather yell at their staff than cook food that has been ordered. The food itself wasn't that great, not the worst, but defiantly not the best. However, the rude staff is the main reason why I will never come here again.

Was employed here for barley 2 weeks and couldn't stand it. The managers are awful witches, speaking absoultely terriably to not only the staff but also the customers! The cafe is extremely uncomfortable to work in to the point where I was even scared to go to work. I was also told by another staff member than she has worked with more than 30+ people since nobody will stay and deal with this. Everything I did was critised and I was always spoken down to like I was stupid, constanly being belittled. Any customer who isn't a regular is completely disregarded. Oh, you are a new customer who has a simple question about our menu? You're stupid and now I'll go and gossip about your order in the kitchen. The managers are constaly bickery at each other causing them to act out on their staff. They are always going to sitting down with customers for a chit chat or even sitting down during the middle of the day to have a meal or a coffee! The pay is ridiculously low for the amount of WEEKEND work I was doing and I only recieved one 30 minute break near the end of my 8 hour shift. This is a family run cafe so I highly reccomend to avoid it at all costs. This is not how a bussiness should be run and nobody should be treated badly for trying to help a bussiness out. I called in sick one weekend day and I never heard from them again. Thank god.

Cosy cafe with good coffee and tasty food. I had the eggs with spicy pumpkin with kale pesto - delicious! We were looked after by the staff. Definitely the pick of cafes on Puckle Street

After we took our seat at the back, it was as if we had been completely forgotten. A waiter brought us water and menus, then no one returned for almost 20 minutes. To make things worse, the water actually smelt like piss. We walked out and no one even noticed.
