Review The Coffee Club - Moonee Ponds

What can I say Exceptional service Friendly quick and efficient all south a genuine smile. Nothing was too hard for them We ordered the beef pulled roll and chips and the Berry smoothie and the mango and passion fruit drink. Because we knew the meal would be too big for each of us, we requested another plate and extra cutlery. We explained we wanted to share the meal and would half it when it came, but they went one step further and actually bought it too us already shared on 2 plates with 2 lots of cutlery. Thank you so much for doing this and not making it into a hassle Really appreciate it. Prices are good too Everything tasted flavoursome can't fault anything. Will be back 100% So for this reason I give you AAA+ for all the above You should be very proud of your establishment and staff Sharon

Went there for a quick brunch with family. Staff is ignorant and unprofessional. Food is average. Gave us coffee and thrice I asked for sugar but no one bothered to give it. They were busy chatting at the counter , holding the sugar sachets. Wouldn't recommend going there. Also you won't get what you order. Highly disappointing.

I picked up the lemon pepper calamari with chips & salad for take away.. calamari rings were quite tender and tasty! As with most items on the menu, I have no complaints. There is plenty of seating available inside the coffee club & in the foyer. The team here are quite friendly & courteous. I realised after that this lovely girl was getting me some cutlery & I had walked off, sorry. Will be back again soon ✌

On my first visit I purchased a VIP membership which provides one free drink when ordering, the free drink is the smaller of the two. For a yearly fee the membership seems good value. Staff are very friendly and attentive and the coffee is very consistent. There is a great variety of food here With lovely munchies to have with your coffee including sweet and savoury. The location is very convenient in the centre of Moonee Ponds Central and plenty of seating for an area to catch up With friends or just to get a load off your feet and have a break from shopping.

One of the best eggs Benedict in town, rich flavor of the hollandaise on top of the salmon. The mocha cafe was very good too. Friendly staff and good service. Close to Kmart, Coles, and aldi.

My meal was overcharged by several dollars and when I twice queried my bill I was both times completely ignored. It won't make a difference to their bottom line, but as far as I'm concerned, this is another business with questionable ethics and I definitely won't be returning.

Stop here for a quick bite for lunch. Service was prompt and accommodating. Ordered pulled beef sandwich which was delicious and soda which was also very nice.

Always nice staff and the coffee is better quality than most chain stores. It’s always a good sign when the staff look happy and the coffee is always great. The food is always hot and delicious — make sure you try the chocolate brownie cookie because it’s one of the most delicious things ever!

I was given a voucher for a free coffee from one of the salons nearby and opted for a hot chocolate instead. The barista was very sweet and friendly. The hot chocolate was nice and creamy and not overly sweet. The milk was frothy and the perfect temperature.

I went to the Coffee Club with my cousin for breakfast on account of her having salary sacrificed onto restaurant Visa cards and needed to spend them before the year finished. We had a self created omelette, the menu here is pretty basic as is to be expected from a cafe chain and frankly the kilojoule count next to the dish description is kind of offputting to calorie consumption. I did think the complimentary babychino was a nice tough though

I popped in here recently for a morning coffee and we decided to have breaky as well. My friend and I shared the Big breakfast which was a huge meal and enough for us both to share. It came with grilled tomato on a bed of fresh spinach, eggs your way on toast (we opted for poached which were done well), a chipolata sausage, bacon, field mushrooms, baked beans and a hash brown. It definitely hit the spot and I was full for hours!
Called into the Coffee Club on a Saturday morning after arriving early for an appointment nearby and needed somewhere to sit.

Its the sort of place that might compete with McCafe. Its a place where you might take your kids for a bowl of chips while you're out shopping or where my mum and dad might have sit down for what they would call a 'fancy' coffee.

I wasn't expecting great things. This isn't a place that you could use the term 'hipster' or 'artisan' or even 'quality' however, the one thing I expected them to do really well .. given the name .. is the coffee. It was somewhere between average and terrible. Weak and scalding hot.

The scone was even worse than the coffee; dry, dense and lacking flavour. It had clearly been mass produced in some factory and tasted accordingly. It came with cream that looked as if it had been sprayed from a can and small serve of jam.

The service however was very friendly and welcoming.

With a bit of effort this place could really be good within its market segement .. with a bit training and supervision of the enthusiastic staff.

Food 0.5* Awful
Coffee 0.5* Awful
Service 3.5* Very friendly service could do with a bit of training and supervision
Ambience 3.0* A comfortable place to rest while shopping.

Our family had brunch here on the weekend. The lovely staff were very accommodating of our large party and handled our order well! The Eggs Benedict always delivers, the coffees were delicious and the seasoning on the fries was yum.

Decent drinks this afternoon- coffees, chai, lattes, iced coffee and green tea. Run of the mill setting and could do with a bit on an update. Staff were friendly. Chips, corn fritters and muesli were okay.

For some reason when I come to this coffee club I do not order food, and that is really strange. The coffee is okay but they messed up my order.

Ordered Eggs Benedict, paid extra for Ham, Mushrooms and Spinach. My food came before my tea, something that anyone with any hospitality knowledge knows is a no no. It's not like they were allowing the tea to brew like some other places, they only put the hot water in the tea pot after I complained it was missing. The extra ham was merely a tiny shaved slice, there was maybe 4-5 spinach leaves that as we all know shrink to almost nothing when cooked and then there was the world's tiniest button mushrooms. Overpriced and not good enough.

Certainly the best place for coffee at Moonee Ponds - I live here in the same locality and I can not think of any other place to have my coffee in the junction.

Today's lunch was a quick bite to eat and included pumpkin soup, GF toast and a small chips. The soup was fantastic, great flavor and just the right amount with two slices of GF toast so there was definitely plenty to eat. I didn't really NEED the chips but I'm glad I ordered them as they were crispy and fresh. The service was really fast and very friendly and helpful.

A good place to go for a quick caffeine fix as Coffee was decent quality. Being a franchise it doesn't give off a great vibe with decor, very run of the mill. Staff weren't fabulous, being awfully confused and unsure how to write down us ordering the coffee and cake special on the specials board? We eventually got there, after being made to put through two orders because they didn't know how to add more than one item to the till. Cakes were nice, quite rich but seemed fresh which is a plus! I'd return, probably only for takeaway coffee though :)

A good iced coffee on a hot day is what we all need and I got one here. The chain's orange cakes are one of the best ones in town. Myself not being a great orange fan devoured on this moist and fluffy piece of cake.

Appalling customer service from one of the girls there, she has a real attitude problem. Management should ensure they hire staff with customer service skills that actually enjoy their job. Food took a while to heat up so not the best place for a quick takeaway lunch while on your break from work. Quite expensive & just overall dissapointing.. did not feel welcome in the cafe and will not be returning.

The food was good, i think the only problem was the service.. not too good, we had to wait a lot for the breakfast.. but the flavors tasty, maybe i'll come back to try other plates of the menu

I had the steak sandwich, the steak was a bit tough and overall it was average tasting. The staff were somewhat friendly and the atmosphere was ok. Not a big fan.

CONVENIENT CAFE - This is one of the restaurants you want to have near a shopping centre with a mix of savoury and sweet stuff to appease any hungry shopper. The place is usually quiet, perfect to catch up and have a chat without being overwhelmed by noise. The place is very functional, but quite large with two seating areas. The staff are courteous and professional but service is slow even when the place is not half full. Nothing remarkable about the food but nothing bad either. I personally don't like their coffee. The citrus tart is very nice.

Preprepared food that is nuked in the microwave until hard and crusty.....but if that's how you like your food; go for it. Pancakes should be soft & fluffy; not so hard that you could tap, tap, tap your knife & fork on top and drum out a tune?

One thing I hate at a cafe is a cooked yolk in a poached egg. Also hate basically serving myself. The menu is not that cheap for me to understand not employing more staff for table service.

Pastry. I would never go back again! had to wait like 20 mins for takeaway chicken filo and trust me that was the worst food i have ever tried. would strongly suggest not to go if u r hungry and in hurry

The management constantly treating staff rudely, very unpleasant for the customer to see

Took my mum for lunch and we both enjoyed our meals, we werent ushered out after our meal either. which was nice

Awesome breakfast! Great service! And they never disappoint me!

Service was really good in Sydney compared to Melbourne ones where the service was virtually non existent. Although we did have a wait at the Sydney one the food made up for it.
