Review Grill'd - Moonee Ponds

Moonee Ponds store very much less than average for a Grill'd. I usually have mine at Southern Cross station. At SC they make you feel like they want you there, and the burgers not only taste great, they look great. Moonee Ponds staff not unpleasant, but not at all interested in elevating your experience, or in making your burger look appetising. Normally I feel happy at Grill'd, at MP I left feeling like 'meh, may as well have gone to Hungry Jacks' . Lift your game Moonee Ponds. Have some pride. It doesn't take much.

How the mighty have fallen. I tired one of their hfc burgers. The worst burger I have ever eaten. The founder Simon Crowe should be ashamed..did he not open the first store due to a lack of a decent burger....look no further, this was not a decent burger. Chicken was dry, over cooked and all up looked terrible.

Tonight at 21:02pm the staff is lazy to clean the grill, is not cleaned, the meat is dry and bitter Because overcooked , the potatoes are soft, the price is not cheap, I will not come back, look at this dont want to eat, so hungry and Angry 😡 😡

Get your act together Puckle st store ! Each time there is a new story, entered the store this evening at 9.05pm and was told they are closed by a team member I said what time you close ? Knowing full well the website states 9.30pm. I was told we are closing due to lack of team members i then said that’s fine I’m happy to wait for one burger and chips.. sorry no we are closed bye !! If you are under staffed then close your door completely don’t make me enter the store at all.. just rude also and this isn’t the first time with this particular store .. staff don’t want be there

Poor customer service. I ordered take away at 4:40pm 25th March 2022. They said ready in 10 minutes. I waited for over 30 minutes and didn't get the food. I went to ask them. They told me it would come up soon without even checking my order. I waited another 10 minutes and went up again. This time they told me they didn't have my order. Just when they about made a new order, they found my food which had been sitting there all along. They wouldn't refund only agreed to make fresh one. But the way of saying it was really unprofessional. She said she called several times. I had been sitting there didn't leave at all. And I didn't hear her. I asked her even so, what about I came to the counter asking the food's ready or not. She said she was not that girl and she didn't know which girl. They all wear the same. I can’t tell which girl either and no one came up to say sorry though they were so close behind the counter and must have heard us. I had been a regular customer for a long time but sadly won't be any more.

WORST experience at any Grill’d I’ve ever had. I was the only customer in store at the time standing at front counter (Sunday 01/05/22) and not one of these people could even say “hi won’t be a moment” I ended up ordering through the app which took them 40 years to make so to be honest I’d rather pass away then come here again. Embarrassing service from the brand considering Grill’d is usually fantastic.

Avoid this place. Lettuce was well and truly past its best by date. Brown and off. The meal also took twice as long to prepare as we were initially told. No good.

I have passed Grill'd on numerous occasions and tonight finally decided to try it out with my son. My son had the 'Mustard & Pickled' and I had the 'Mighty Melbourne', and we had 2 sides. 'Saltbush & Pepper Onion Rings' & ''Famous Grill'd Chips'. Firstly, the buns... they were hard. Not toasted hard, but stale hard. Secondly, the beef patties… Very dry and chewy and pretty tasteless. As my son said, "The best thing about my burger was the pickle." That said it all. Neither of us could understand why the Chips are famous. Firstly, the Rosemary overpowered any other herbs used. Secondly, the chips were undercooked, soft on the outside and flowery on the inside. Perhaps 'infamous Grill'd Chips' would be a more suitable name. The 'Saltbush & Pepper Onion Rings' were ordindary. Nothing to rave about for sure. Service was nothing special. Our meal did the entire rounds of the restaurant before the waiter finally discovered it was for our table. Conclusion : Definitely overrated. Burgers were, frankly, pretty awful and the sides were just as bad. Over-priced and poor quality food. We will never go back

It was so delicious! Delicious patty with a perfect combination of the dressing. The staffs was courteous and approachable! Excellent experience it is.

Grill’d is always good, the guys here are always pretty friendly, young and lack a bit of experience but give them a heads up on anything on your mind and they will happily cater.

I don't know where to start. My wife ordered the wagyu burger on uber eats. The gluten free burger bread was as hard as a rock. She had to microwave the bread so it would be soft enough to be edible. The onions were almost non existent. There was so much mayo that it was all i could taste. Finally, the beef itself was also fairly bland. It was definitely not worth the price.

Absolutely love the hemp burger from grilld. Amazing patty and love the amount of avocado they put in the burger aswell. As a whole burger was tasty and juicy

One time I ordered a salad with added chicken breast, but it was dry and tasteless and a bit too burnt for my tastes. Never doing that again :x<br/><br/>Otherwise, it's Grill'd. There's a bit of variation in quality (my chips yesterday were a bit sad, not super crunchy) but for the most part the quality you get is fairly consistent.<br/>

I'm never disappointed at Grill'd. This outlet has lots of options for seating, whether you come by yourself, with a friend, or in a group. The burger was good, always consistent and delicious. I do wish they would back off with the up-selling though. It takes ages to order a burger on its own because you are asked if you want to add bacon (no), whether you want chips (no), whether you want an alcoholic drink (no), whether you want a soft drink (no), whether you want a traditional or panini bun (traditional). Also, they always seem to come around and ask you how everything is just as you've taken a huge bite of your burger and can't possibly reply.

Drinks and side order not delivered to table, burgers soggy and cold. Complained and was asked to leave by one of the teenage staff. No refund offered despite not receiving drinks or sides order. Appalling service and awful food. Don't bother, there's plenty of other places to eat in Monnee Ponds where the staff are properly managed. Reported incident to Grill'd management and was paid lip service, and still not offer of a refund for the food and drinks not provided.

Not long time ago at Carlton Grill'd I tryed the veggie vitaliy! was the most sad vegan burgers ever! extremly dry. Today I decided to try again the 2 new vegans burgers. They have definetly improve! They not awesome, they just good...

Being a loyal grilld fan, I tolerated this for a bit. Three times in a row I got bullshit with my meal: not enough lettuce, half a crouton, stale bread and omitted Parmesan. And I did tell them in advance that they made a mistake ,please try to do better and yet they dont care. The worst grilld in Melbourne.

Came here on Wednesday night, it was a little busy. But not busy enough for staff to have such disappointing customer service. The staff watched on as a large number people waited to order. Also had to ask for the table to be cleaned even though they walked past the table to clean another that was emptying. The food on the other hand was the average Grilld burgers, nothing special. Could improve with some presentation. Probably wouldn't visit this location again.

Inflexible and unfriendly service at the cash register. I had a 2 for 1 voucher they emailed to me and they wouldn't let me take the burgers away. I was forced to carry a burgers out in tissues. Take away comes at no extra cost to the business - it is simply upsetting customers.

I really like this Grill’d - the fit out is lovely and welcoming with loads of chairs and tables and a homely feel. The service is great too. The zucchini fries are delish here and all burgers are yummy but my personal fave is to add the delicious pickles to anything I order. 👍🏻

Went to get take away last Friday and everyone except one girl was friendly - not sure what the problem was but was almost to the point of rudeness. After telling us that an item on the menu wasn't available any more despite having been told by another girl it was, she only retracted what she was saying and asked someone after about the third time. The food was good and was consistent with all the other grilld outlets. Disappointing to see that the veggie pattie and pineapple wasn't being cooked the usually way on stove top and was being cooked directly with the meat. Not ideal for a vegan option and unsure why this venue doesn't cook like the others on a separate hot plate. So not sure I can recommend the vegan options from this place.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night with my family, and as always, we left feeling satisfied with our meals.<br/><br/>Service:<br/>Service was very good here, which was taken to me by surprise, as I've read from past reviews that that was not the case. I'm not sure if it was just that one occasion, but to me the workers were all very kind and attentive, and we were well cared for.<br/><br/>Food:<br/>We got the Wagyu Wunder on a traditional, Golden Glow on a panini, and I had the Veggie Vitality with an extra grilled field mushroom on a superbun. We also got a side of regular chips and avocado chips. All three burgers were delicious - the crumb on the chicken was perfect and kept the chicken so soft and tender. And of course, the lowcarb superbun from Grill'd - I would definitely recommend everyone to try it! It has a distinct coconutty flavour, and crisps us nicely on the edges when cooked, and super moist almost like a pancake! The only problem is that it can get quite messy to eat because it breaks apart easily. The Grill'd chips are always a favourite - thick and flavourful. The avocado chips are also worth trying - they have a very crispy and flavourful outer batter, and goes so nicely with the avocado.<br/><br/>Overall, we were pretty happy with our meal! Whenever I'm craving for a burger, Grill'd is always my go-to!

Grill'd is my favourite burger restaurant in Australia- I have been to a couple of branches and this one in Moonee Ponds is close to my home. If you love a good burger then this is undoubtably your spot.

Burgers and food is good. <br/>Service can be a hit and miss. Some days you'll get great service, others you'll barely be acknowledged. <br/>Can be a bit off putting when some of the girls that work here wear shorts so short you can see their cheeks hanging out. Not what I want to see while eating. Maybe need to have a stricter uniform policy?

Food was great as usual but the girl who gave us our food slammed it on the table said 'here' and walked away like she had a huge stick up her ass. Extremely rude and unprofessional server however the rest of the staff were lovely.

Great burgers, friendly staff and they list nutritional information so if you're watching watch you eat you know what's in your burger! Always enjoy going to grilld.

The only burger I can eat guilt free, low carb bread range and healthy filling has me coming back everytime 🍔 tried the avocado chips , very creative

Food was actually not too bad but  it was poor service which won't have me returning. It really irritates me when staff up sell you when you buy the chips by saying " Which sauce are you having?" silly me picked tomato  and once i'd paid i'd realised what had happened being charged for a product that appears free. So after watching the same member interact with the next customer with the same spill, i suggested to her that i thought what she was saying could be improved on as I felt misled. The manager approached but wasn't very diplomatic. i'll pass it on...... i'm sure you will. $19 for a burger and chips.....

Love this Grill'd, great ambience, friendly staff and awesome burgers. The summer sunset was excellent with a juicy, flavoursome meat patty and full of freshness with avocado and pineapple. Plenty of seating inside or out, this is an excellent branch.

I really like it here! It's cheap and cheerful and the food is delicious especially their sweet potato fries and hot chicken burger which our my favourites from their menu! I'd highly reccomend everyone to try here the portion sizes are generous and the staff are very friendly and assertive 😀

Bro. Do us a favour, if you're keen for burgers and don't mind spending your dosh, then this joint is the place for you! Burgers are always good and the chip's even better and the sweet chilli Mayo dipping sauce is sick!

Everytime...soggy, overcooked, over salted sweet potato chips! Wish that they didnt put so much salt on them. Other than that i enjoy grill'd.

Food was as good as any other grill'd. <br/><br/>I understand the low-lit ambiance that they are going for but the outlet itself is very dark and enclosed. There seems to be an abundance of staff but still a lack of customer service. <br/><br/>I like and appreciate the relaxed attitudes towards uniform, you can see when someone is clearly uncomfortable in their work uniform, but maybe some workers make themselves a little too comfortable as one of the waitresses was wearing shorts so short it looked like she wasn't wearing any pants.

A HIT WITH ME -- I love Grill'd Burgers and I love the Moonee Ponds outlet. It is large, it is comfy and it is very cool and modern, with several seating areas that easily accommodate single eaters, couples and families. <br/><br/>Grill'd has some of my favourite burgers ever and so many varieties to choose from that it is impossible not to like something, They satisfy the pig in you or the healthy-minded in you regarding both burgers and chips. <br/><br/>I decided to stop myself from ordering the Simply Gril'd burger, which is what I usually order, and decided for a healthier option, the Flourish and Nourish. This is an AWESOME example and a proof that you can provide customers with healthy burgers that taste divine and are light on your stomach.  <br/><br/>The zucchini chips were wonderful in flavour but the pieces were too thick and large so they don't fry properly and the butter gets easily broken, so the chips become a mash in the container. They needed a thicker butter or smaller pieces of zucchini. That is easily fixable.   <br/><br/>Service is quite fast and although the staff are not as friendly as in other Grill'd outlets, they were very helpful and nice to me.<br/><br/>Definitely one of the best places to have a meal in Moonee Ponds. I know, it sounds a bit bold, but I think that is the case!  Grill'd forever wherever whatever.  Amen.

Average food for ridiculous prices, with bad service. Much better off having a burger from your local fish and chip shop.

I pretty much like gill'd wherever, the burgers although big, I can still manage to eat them without it falling apart. Always get the simon says.

As always, grill'd delivers yet again in another suburb. I ordered the low carb option 'mustard and pickled' and it' was delicious. Service is great and the restaurant itself radiates a great ambience. Staple place for my family.

A nice place to sit and eat a nice burger. The burgers are a good size and the quality of the food is pretty reasonable. Staff are friendly and prices are okay. I'll be back.

They started off ok, now the beef patty has grissly bits in it and tastes like Rs kill. Worst meat ever, shame because everything else on the buger is nice

Below Average. During the opening of Grill'd Moonee Ponds there was great food and great service.<br/><br/>Over time the quality of the food has been getting worse and worse. Had over cooked potato chips, cold burger - was not enjoyable.

Got some takeaway from here around a month or so ago. Have only ever ordered chips from another grill'd so thought I'd give a burger a go. Staff were lovely but I was a little disappointed with the quality of the burger. It just seemed a little flat. And was a little pricey, $17 for a chicken burger and small chips at a chain fast food store. I go to royale brothers regularly and pay around $15 for the same and much much better burger that I'm even craving thinking about now. Would either down the price or up the quality, just not worth it as is.

Great Burgers. My partner and I decided to give this place a chance even though I'm not a fan of the Grill'd in Marilynong. The burgers were fresh and tasty with minimal waiting time for our meals to arrive, and the staff were friendly. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Only downside is the place was swarming with hipsters.

As good as Grill'd gets. Been to other outlets, visited Moonee Ponds on their 2nd day. Joint was jumping, but still only had to wait about 10 mins for food that was at least as good as any of their other outlets.
