Last night we celebrated my father's 50th birthday party, and we were absolutely blown by the service of both the kitchen staff and the club staff. The function room was perfectly set up, as we chose the canapes menu. We were permitted to bring our own balloons and decorations for the tables, to give the room our personal touch. Everyone came in and commented on how great the room looked and the location of the club. A special thank you to Ulie (the chef) for the fantastic food. Many of our guests complemented the food that was served during the evening and left the party completely full. Thank you to Jack for constantly checking in, to see if we were pleased with everything. A huge thank you to Maddy, who worked tirelessly behind the bar all evening. We would highly recommend this venue for any function, as we left completely satisfied with the service that was provided. As regular customers at the club's bistro, we can recommend the food as it is always plentiful, delicious and reasonably priced.

OMG what a great day we had yesterday celebrating my mum's 90th birthday. We had over 70 guests and not one had a complaint. They complemented the function room which was well laid out with couches around the room so they didn't have to sit at their tables the whole time. The food was amazing and even some compared it better than Doulton House the week before, at a wedding they had gone to. Some are even looking to booking their upcoming functions because of all the above. Thanks to Christine and her kitchen staff and waiters and Shae, our bar person and her helpers, nothing was too hard for them and there was a smile on their faces the whole time. We had chosen the King Prawn Cocktail for entrée and Veal Backstrap for main. I expected the prawn cocktail to be brought out in the typical glass dish but it was beautifully presented on a plate and the Veal backstrap to have the reheated taste or at least cold but there was not one complaint. The childrens meal was plentiful and the vegetarian stack and risotto was commented on favourably. When we told people that we often go for dinner on a Friday night they want to now come along too. Thank you everyone who helped and stopped us from having to worry about every detail. We left stress free and happy.

We celebrated our son's 21st birthday in the function room last Saturday evening. We have nothing but praise for all the club staff in making it a memorable evening. The events manager Linda ensured the room was set up as we had planned and her advice on furniture layout was spot on. Christine is such an asset in the catering area of the club. So warm, friendly and knowledgeable......her advice on canapé selection and amounts required was perfect. Jack ensured everything ran smoothly on the evening as far as catering was concerned and again nothing was a problem. Stephen who was on the bar was outstanding......pleasant and charming to all and thoroughly professional. Many guests commented throughout the night on the food, service and venue. We would not hesitate in recommending Brighton Lakes as a great place to host an event. The club executive must be so pleased with the team they have in place.

Mum's 70th birthday party was a success!!! Thank you to the staff who went above and beyond to make it all happen. Would totally recommend the venue. Your friendly staff, great food and ideal venue made it a night to remember.
