Pleasantly delicious sushi in Moorebank, staff were friendly and made great recommendations.
We ordered the "moon" sushi which was great! Lightly torched salmon drenched in honey mustard topping and a crispy tempura prawn inside the roll.
We also ordered the teriyaki meal which came with rice and miso soup, another very decent dish, they were very generous with the portion as well.
This place is a regular for us. It's not atypical for many Japanese places in Sydney, in that it's really Koreanese. Accept that for what it is and this place isn't a bad place to eat. Sushimi is usually limited in variety, but Ok in quality and freshness and the sushi isn't bad. Bento boxes are good, and the Bibimbap is pretty good too. Katsu dishes are ordinary because they use a bottled sauce and Terryaki is somewhere in between. The service is variable because they turn over staff, but more often than not it's acceptable. If you dont' expect high end (or even authentic) Japanese, but are just looking for a tasty place to eat, you will be happy eating here. Cash only.
[edit] Just an update, because we went here recently and it's pretty apparent there is a new chef. The food is considerably improved. Looks better and tastes better. I've upped the rating to 4 stars.
Good atmosphere. The ramen is a must try. Also don't forget to order king prawn roll with it . Bentos are very nicely decorated and each component tastes delicious
Better than I expected. Considering this is Moorebank, I was pleasantly suprised at the quality at this place. Fresh, reasonably quick and not expensive.
Very unique sushi! Must try the "Moons Special". Another favourite is the teryaki chicken and volcano artistic roll
One of the better sushi restaurants in the Liverpool area. Everything is freshly made so the waiting time is worth it. Also enjoying the new location and interior.
Good and genuine Japanese food, portions are bigger than the average.

Have been here many times both dine in and TA. The service is always very friendly and helpful.
The menu has a great selection of sushi and full mains but can be a bit confusing to find exactly what your craving.
Overall I’ve found the seafood fresh and delicious. A few times I’ve had pork katsu or marinated beef and it’s been a bit dry or chewy.
My wife loves the ramen here. It’s not the best you can have in all of Sydney but in the Moorebank area it is for sure.
My only bug complaint is that for a long time it’s been cash only. Not sure if that’s changed during lockdowns but I hope they do eftpos! Either way I’m sure I’ll be back soon.
I came here 1st time and loved this place so much! As you walk in you are welcomed by a cozy Japanese interior and quiet music, then by a very friendly lady and other staff. Menu is very easy to navigate, has photos and good descriptions, also many different variations of dishes. They cooked so fast and... The dishes are so beautiful and in large amounts! I was so impressed and had a good mood throughout my visit. Thank you Moon Sushi ❤️

Amazing fresh sushi with a wide variety! One of the best Japanese places in the area - only downside is cash only, and they’re sometimes limited on fish options, but as my favourites are salmon and prawn, it suits me perfectly!
The portions are nice and everything is made fresh on the spot (so it can be a bit of a wait).
