Review Tandoori Plaza Indian Restaurant - Mooroolbark

Disappointing.... I/We eat a lot of Indian from all over Melbourne & thought we'd give this one a go - not much else was open really - which was odd for Valentine's Day. I had my go-to Beef Vindaloo - was warned when ordering that it was Hot (despite it saying that on the menu) Yes, I know it is (supposed to be) Hot, but wasn't really. It actually tasted like it had been re-heated - cooked some other time... my vegan partner had the Daal Maharani, which she described as bland & tasteless - she had to salt it at home. Which brings me to the Saffron rice... it tasted 'chalky' and watery. Pretty disappointing all round. I'm not quite sure how this place is scoring 4.2 stars on Google???

I love this place. I've coming here for many, many years and the food gets better and better. The staff are the best, they are very welcoming.

My wife and I have been coming here since before our son was born. Our son just had his 21st birthday dinner here. This establishment is the very definition of a family business. Dad, mom, son & daughter all working here. Food and service is always top notch. We haven't looked at a menu in years. We just order of the specials board. Never been disappointed.

Great Ambience and Authentic Indian Cuisine. Good fun to catch up with friends and foes post Covid

I had my first job here 15 years ago and I still come back to enjoy the food. A wonderful family runs this business and the food is fantastic. We absolutely love the Aloo Tikki Chat, Chicken Makhani and Palak Paneer. Oh and try the boondi raita on the side.
