Byron's Vanilla Slice Blog
+4.5
This isn't your typical Vietnamese-style bakery selling vanilla jelly slices, but instead one that sells beautifully fresh, creamy slabs. At only $3.50 I felt ashamed that my last mouthful was so hard to stomach, but nevertheless it was unfair to through it away. The huge portion of creamy vanilla custard was so tasty in between the light and flaky layers of pastry. I managed to eat the whole thing with no cutlery and it proved to be quite a task. I would definitely recommend this place, to the point that their jam doughnuts actually contained "too much jam" according to Mrs B - if there is such a thing!
Ive only tried some of their Vietnamese rolls and they are pretty tasty just too expensive for the size of the rolls but they always greet you with a smile and I've always felt welcome going in their. The big selection of food is good too
The best bakery in the area! Have been coming here for 9 years and have never been disappointed. The pork rolls are delicious and are always served with a smile. They also serve great cakes and coffee.
This is my new go-to-place in Mordialloc for a coffee every Saturday and Sunday morning, despite the multitude of cafes nearby. The staff are so friendly and it's great and the coffee is consistently brilliant too!
This place is my coffee mecka--- every morning this place is frequented by local tradies dropping in to refuel. There coffee is the best I've had in the area, it's consistently good. All their take away food is honest & priced right for the snack & go buyer. Skip the cakes as they aren't up to speed.
Absolutely love this place! Super friendly, great variety and fast efficient service. It’s a pleasure to come here every time.
Great food, great prices, very friendly staff very customer friendly and great value for money. 50 out of 10 will go there very regularly from now on.🍞🥪☕
Best Banh Mi and apple cakes I’ve ever eaten. Friendliest service also…. Can’t be faulted.
We visited for the first time on Sunday to sample the dim sims which were highly recommended by fellow dimmie lovers. They did not disappoint and were delicious. This is a gem of a place and very busy with obviously repeat customers. Next time we will try the bhan mi which looked fabulous. Owner Leon is very friendly and accommodating. We ended up buying a dozen of his precious dim sims, frozen, to take home. Also bought a couple of danishes - they were lovely and light, full of fruit... Highly recommended 😊
Really friendly staff, great selection, never been disappointed!
