Great little place to have breakfast. Both meals were flavorful. I wasnā€™t keen on my Mocha. Wouldnā€™t get that again but Iā€™ll try something else next time.

Nice and easily accessible spot to eat some brunch! We had a friendly waitress so enjoyed the experience. There was a bit of a wait to get in around 12pm but wasn't too long!

John and his team were great. Very accommodating of our party of seven for Sunday morning brunch. Food was brilliant. All freshly prepared and served piping hot. Yes they were busy, service was a little slow but in these covid times we just need to remember to be kind to one another. Highly recommend šŸ‘Œ

Went in for breakfast early on on a Saturday morning. Due to a network outage and our docket being lost, it took over an hour from ordering for our meals to arrive. Thankfully our drinks were taken off the bill due to the wait. The food quality was alright, but not worth the overly long wait. In the future I would go for the coffee but not stay for the food. Service was fine, not bad but also not outstanding. Overall, Boyz is fine, I would spend the time looking for another place for breakfast in the future.

It's been a long time but still a favourite place of mine in Mornington Great food and service and a warm familiar face with a hug.

This is one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Mornington. You will get first class service, a great menu, and perfectly cooked and presented food. The coffee is perfect, expertly barista made, great taste and served at the correct temperature - experts at their trade. Highly recommended.

There service was nothing less than unwelcoming, ugly, borderline discrimination and plain rude. We waited in line for almost 10 minutes when more than enough seats were available, not to mention they very openly decided to seat the man behind us before getting us a table. Not only was it such a disrespectful act but it was so openly and proudly committed. Dirty glares and other gestures clearly not in good taste sent out business elsewhere. Missed out on a large sum of money, would not come back.

We came into The Boyz 4 Breakfast today for brunch. Pretty packed at at the time we arrived but we took a punt on them having a spare table. Sat upstairs which gave you a lofty outlook. It was only after being seated that we were advised of a 35 minute wait time for meals. Suggest telling us before we were seated would be the way to go. Strong Lavazza coffee was good and we also tried a milky iced chocolate/ chai drink from the specials. I was tempted by the boyz breakfast and would have gone for that but for the fact that it had grilled tomato so instead opting for the Girlz breakfast... which was without sausages, tomato and baked beans but had smashed avo and feta instead. If only that was the only difference! What astounded me was the overal size difference between a $22 boyz breakfast and an $18.50 girlz when really that was hardly necessary. Also silly as it sounds I didnā€™t want to be the big burly bloke who ordered the girlz breakfast so got my wife to order that one instead. Taste wise the girlz breakfast was spot on and even though it was at least half the serve size compared to the boyz was still a great option for those who love smashed avo but loath grilled tomato. <br/><br/>We also tried the pancakes which were a thick duo with berry compote, lemon curd, and berry sorbet. Yum... just yum. <br/><br/>Service wise staff were friendly but on both occasions of our drinks and meals they came at seperate times so I had drunk my iced chai drink before KDā€™s coffee arrived and KD was half way through her pancakes before my breakfast arrived.

Excellent coffee, great atmosphere and top service. Not the first time weā€™ve been and definitely not the last. We come from Brisbane most years to visit family nearby and B4B is one of our favourite local cafes.

Went for a road trip to Mornington Peninsula on Saturday but my friends and I didn't have any ideas where we should eat. Luckily, we found this restaurant on Zomato and gave it a try! We were welcomed by friendly staff and lovely owners, RJ & John. Food were amazing, although we had to wait for one dish that came out late. RJ gave us complimentary drinks which were so good as wellā™„ļø. The service was incredible! Overall, my friends and I were satisfied with everything. Well done! Terima kasih!šŸ„°

Disappointing. Even though we live locally and eat out for breakfast most weeks I havenā€™t been to Boyz for over ten years as my previous experience wasnā€™t great. We were really looking forward to trying it as itā€™s a Mornington institution and worth giving another chance to. Unfortunately we were both disappointed the corn fritters were undercooked bland and tasted predominately of raw flour, coffee was average at best and my husbands big brekky very ordinary. Bacon is run of the mill and fairly tasteless not what I expect for the price and the sausages just okay. For this price and the experience of the team we expected more than ā€œproduction lineā€ cooking. One positive though is the great service, could be awesome if food and cooking quality was improved.

Great location, good food done well. Healthy options and Gluten free available, fresh juices are great and there is a nice wine list as well. <br/><br/>Photo does not do the taste of the food justice, give it a try if you are in the area.

Fantastic cafe a stones throw from Morningtonā€™s main beach and pier. Bustling with a variety of customers, the earlier you go the better chance youā€™ll get a table without a reservation. Food is reasonably priced and the coffee is great, and there sure to be something for every palate. Friendly staff and the wait on food wasnā€™t long at all considering the busyness.

After a big weekend in Mornington with friends, another blogger on Zomato named Ormond recommended this cafe for breakfast. My smashed avocado on toast was delicious, it had lemon and feta through it. It came with lovely multigrain bread, real butter and because the bread was good quality, it did not become soggy even with the smashed avocado on top. The juices are really good, I would highly recommend, a great start to the day! My only negative would be the staff and the wait. We were told it was going to be 45 minutes wait for food and it was around 30 minutes which wasnā€™t too bad. It was busy but they should probably be more prepared with staffing on a weekend. The staff were hard to get a hold of in the end, we were trying to pay and they were too busy to notice us. Overall I would give this place a 3.5 but unfortunately Zomato now only lets you round up your review.

It was a weekend drive to Mornington peninsula ,, enjoyed the place . This place is just of the beach area and around the corner .. very busy place , but still you will find places to sit .. we were here for breakfast .. <br/>I just tried scrambled eggs on toast with some Home made hash brown of theirs. And also tried eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and also passion fruit and mango smoothie which was delicious . <br/>Would recommend this place for a good breakfast while your around this place.

Continuing our exploration of local cafes, we stumbled into this cafe today , we were seated pretty quickly and browsed the menu which seemed to be lacking in variety.<br/><br/>I however ordered the bacon benedict and my dining partner ordered spinach benedict with hashbrowns.<br/><br/>Hollandaise was delicious, bacon cooked perfectly and the house made hashbrowns were crispy and fluffy!<br/><br/>Food arrived quickly followed by the latteā€™s which took a bit longer to arrive, and were only lukewarm and seemed quite weak.<br/><br/>Food and coffee was on the expensive side.
Elizabeth McCann
Very very small portion for the price. Ordered a chai latte and only filled up half of the tea pot. Very underwhelming for both the salad and quiche. Nice atmosphere tho.

Good view and nice restaurant even more awesome servicešŸ’‹ we had two coffees take away and one hot chocolate, thanks for made impress at the first I came here.

Today we both had the corn fritter, poached egg and bacon. Extremely fresh and great tasting.<br/>Coffee was top notch. Definitely recommend this place. šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

Great experience yesterday at the Boyz 4 Breakie. I had the grilled chicken salad, a glass of Pinot Gris and finished with a coffee. Food was delicious. The host was very friendly and attentive which made our day following a bad experience at DOC across the road. Will be back again!

Went here on the weekend with my partner for breakfast. I had the Eggs Benedict with ham. It was okay, hollandaise sauce was just a tad to vinigary for my liking. My partner had the Breakfast To Die For. He said it was okay but nothing special the eggs were a bit overdone for him. The coffee tasted very burnt. The staff were great absolutely amazing service and everything came out really fast

We came here for brekkie the day after a wedding on the weekend. As you can imagine, we were feeling a little under the weather but the food and drinks here definitely fixed us right up. I ended up having food regret later in the day because I was still reminiscing on how good breakfast was. <br/>They were absolutely pumping, yet they managed to get us seated and took our orders with a smile on their face. Really happy with the whole experience and great location.<br/>

I came here for breakfast the other morning. The coffee tasted burnt and the eggs were undercooked. I will try again as this place is an establishment in Mornington but not impressed. Maybe they have had a busy summer.
Food Junkie
First time at The Boyz 4 Breakie, we were originally going to Store Fifteen but decided that it was way too healthy lol. <br/>So we walked over to The Boyz 4 Breakie and we were greeted by a polite and friendly host. It wasnā€™t too busy when we were there at 12.30pm on a Saturday. This is perfect for us because we were starving. I had the Girlz breakie, my friend had the special Chilli pulled beef and another friend had the Hash Stack with extra bacon. We opted for juice that morning rather than the usual latte. I had the liver clense (why not :)) and my friend had an orange juice. If you are interested in taking a peek on their menu before going, I would suggest you go to their website as the menu uploaded in Zomato is now outdated. <br/>Their portion is rather small compared to the brunch places in Melbourne but they were delicious. The ambiance is pretty relax and casual nothing fancy. The location is on the main shopping strip of Mornington, right at the end of the street towards the beach. Would definitely go back again.

Great coffee šŸ‘šŸ¼ good food, big servings! And great service! Only bad thing was no bill splitting! Makes it a bit hard going out with big groups! Otherwise all good
Cynthia Giang
Nice open and well lit cafe in Mornington close by to the park and beach. Extremely friendly staff and smooth breakfast service. Had the pancakes which were a little too sweet overall but the lemon curd helped to cut through the sugary side.
Mrs Brunch
The service at The boyz 4 breakie was lovely - shame everything they served was absolute rubbish. <br/><br/>We knew we were in for a shocker as soon as the first drink hit the table. A COLD long black?! What? Why? <br/><br/>Then the mains.. When it comes to a burger, the bun is god. Unfortunately the chicken burger we received was served on cold, semi toasted seeded bread with a sad saggy pickle tooth picked on top that you couldn't possibly eat, with a tiny basket of cold fries on the side. <br/>Being this close to the sea, we also ordered The calamari salad. With what the calamari was battered in, it was very hard to tell it was calamari at all. An overly sweet, sticky, gross batter mixed into an Asian coleslaw that you couldn't actually taste over the "calamari" batter. <br/><br/>Handing over my credit card was like taking a bullet, there's NOTHING I hate more than spending money on a meal I couldn't even stomach.
Cinnamon's Food For Thought
Mornington main street is becoming quite a yuppie place with many great 'melbourn-isque' cafes available- but this cafe down the beach end, holds it own. The menu isn't as fancy pants as some of its competitors up the road, which is super refreshing. I was able to to take my family there and they understood the menu- no dukkah in sight hahaĀ <br/>They've got the classics and they do it well.Ā <br/>The coffee, the food portions and staff are on point, the location is perfect and i'll definitely be back again! Our only complaint was that the pork was a bit dry which we mentioned and the staff were super lovely about it and accommodating.
Our Foodie Finds
A little weekend getaway with 6 friends ending in a beautiful nice crunch of a Chim Churri panko crumbed chicken breast fillet in a soft sesame seed bun over at a recommended local favourite.<br/><br/>Located at the beach end of Morningtons Main Street, The Boyz 4 Breakie is easily identifiable as a favorite amongst locals and visitors alike. Being on the waters edge may have something to do with it or the service of the friendly and smiling staff or it might just be the all day breakfast menu? Maybe a mixture of all. With multiple seating areas up and downstairs along with a few outdoor tables, the flow of patrons was endless.<br/><br/>We enjoyed a few different meals ranging from both the breakfast and lunch menus: The Boyz Breakie $22.0, Barramundi Rissotto lunch special $22.0, Boyz Egg Benedict $16.5 and the Charlie $20.5 to name a few that left everyone satisfied. A few hot beverages and a smoothie coupled our meals perfectly along with the cool breeze and sun sneaking out every so often between the clouds.<br/><br/>The Boyz 4 Breakie will for sure now become the go to place for us every time the Peninsula calls for a visit. Till next time, this is Our Foodie Find!
Foxtrot04
Charged $6 for a small cappuccino ( instant coffee and froth ) Surprised still in business with so much competition around. Not even the city's prices are that steep . Maybe do some research before setting a ridiculous price
Food And Drink Melbourne
A lovely breakfast. The food was fresh and tasted fantastic. The service was spot on - I was attended to by friendly staff but I was not rushed at all. I ordered the 21st Century Charlie - it was full of flavours and textures. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast at The Boys 4 Breakie!
Foodie With Ideas..
Went here on a weekday and it wasn't that busy, the wait was so slow and long! wasn't told it would take that long to get seated, ordered and food over 1 1/5 mins when we spoke to the old lady with crazy hair, she told us the wait was normal at 45 mins and if we liked she could cancel our order.. appalling customer service !! she wasn't in the business of fixing issues just moving you along might be time to retire<br/>The food wasn't bad, was hot and had some nice flavours and technical aspects to it (French toast) however that old woman has tarnished my experience with boyz I won't be back!! there's far to many better eatery in Mornington to tolerate this disrespectful service..
Chickenocave
This is an excellent place to grab an awesome breakfast. The food is very tasty and fresh. Staff were wonderful and attentive. Was a little noisy, but aside from that it was a great eating experience!
Ann
Overall very average. The boys 4 breakie are in a great spot but unfortunately both their food and service is below average. We ordered the pancakes which were incredibly dry and came with very little toppings. We asked for more maple but unfortunately the pancakes were that bad that no amount of maple syrup could revive them. The milkshakes were okay but the service was quite poor and I don't think that we will be returning
Kat E
Nice enough food, good portion sizes. Often very busy (today we waited +40minutes for our meal) but staff were very friendly and apologetic about the wait time.
Gabrielle Cole
My breakfasts here are always so big and yummy and satisfying. The man who I think manages it is also so sweet and very accommodating! Love the coffee too! Love coming here for breakfast.
Samantha H
Great food and service! Got to love a place that serves breakfast and bubbles at the same time, as a Mornington resident I feel like this humble and lovely place is a gem in our crown! Keep it up guys!
Game Of Scones
When ever I visit Mornington I try and come here for breakfast if not just a quick coffee. Situated at the end of the Main Street they have been serving great food for years and is for of locals which is a great sign.
Lauren Billings
Very very busy cafe but quick and lovely service. The menu is extensive and all meals are reasonably price. Nice to sit out in the sun and enjoy their lovely coffee and food
Peter Phillips
Heard wonderful things about this cafe but upon dining I was left disappointed. Food was average at best and paying a premium for it. Maybe as its close to the beach so you pay more
Amanda
We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Food was absolutely fantastic! The presentation was simple, yet done well. This place had a great vibe, attentive and friendly staff and great coffee too! Will be our go to place for breakfast on a weekend from now on.
Bonbon
Food was amazing and service was great. Friendly staff. I ordered the Wagu beef sliders they were amazing. Didn't want long at all. My husband ordered the one of the breakfast meals. He loved it. Will definitely eat here again.
Coffee Man
Grate place good food all waiters were nice and friendly. Will come back time and time again. For the people who say over priced you get what you pay for if you want something cheap go to McDonald's.
Tara
Great food and coffee! Table was ready when we arrived and service was quick and attentive. Very busy and lively, had a very nice breakfast here.
MelbourneMunchies
Came for breakfast. Loved the food, coffee, atmosphere and service. Would love to come back and try other items on the menu. Definitely recommend.
Nikki
I had wanted to try this place for a while but when we finally did it was very disappointing. We had a very long wait for breakfast and it was disappointing, tiny servings and extremely over priced. Staff were not very friendly and just seemed in a hurry to get people out. Maybe if they were in more of a hurry to get the food on the table people could leave quicker.
Emma Morrison
The food looked good although I can't rate it on what it actually tasted like because after nearly 40 minutes of waiting for what is effectively just eggs, toast and pancakes we decided to leave. Not the best experience with a hungry toddler. The drinks were good but I won't bother coming back to try the food. If they had have managed our expectations about the wait when we got there we might have waited for our food or come back another time. Just lost a customer. Really annoyed that we wasted out time and ended up getting fish and chips a couple of doors down. Thanks for ruining the best meal of the day.
Dannyboy
Located at the end of Main Street and just across the road from the park and a short walk to the beach, the location couldn't get any better. After a nice walk on the beach came for good breakfast but golly it was busy. Which I guess is a good sign. Would come back again but probably a bit earlier to avoid the crowd.
Mel
Really disappointed. My husband and I used to come here all the time, and we always felt so welcomed by the owner there. Don't know where he went because the staff members that were working today were so increadibly rude! Not once did I see any of them smile. They dumped us at the table dropped the menus and walked off. When we went to pay, the lady just told us how much the bill was without as much as a smile or 'how was everything?'<br/>Food was fine, but the service was shocking, and in the age where there are cafes and coffee shops on every corner people go in for a smile just as much as the food. Will not be visiting again.
Alex Smith
I normally don't write reviews, but i came in for breakfast this morning with my partner and the food was great, came out pretty quickly even though it was quite busy. <br/><br/>but my coffee was bitter, and the service was lacking... we were served by a shorter blonde lady who seemed like she was the manager? or acted like it, she was quite rude and flippant, not sure if we will return due to the rude service and bitter coffee.
Troy Mortleman
Called in for lunch on a busy public holiday. The place was reasonably full but still had a fair few empty tables so the slow service we experienced wasn't expected. Mainly breakfast fare as the name suggests. Had the stock standard eggs with bacon and mushrooms. Asked for poached but got fried which was annoying. Not sure if I'd return.
CCC
Not sure what the bad reviews are about because we had breakfast here and it was amazing! Delicious, well priced and really friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Danny
We had a poached egg on some sort of dark bread and it really was just that egg on bread, I can't say much about it other than very plain. We also had the French toast with ice-cream on the side, it was excellent, truly delicious in every way. The place was packed as per usual, the service horrendously slow although our waiter was great. The prices were far too much for the food served, I understand the rent must be astronomical but I won't pay an arm and leg again for 2 serves of toast with a huge wait time to boot.
Maria Vasallo
I went with my husband last week to Boyz 4 breakie and we got the pancakes for breakfast and was absolutely beautiful, it's a nice place. We'll back soon
Nomtastic
We loved this place before the menu totally changed. On the first visit, my partner had the Calamari and said it was the best Calamari he had ever eaten, then we were in the area again with the intention to go here to get Calamari again, only to be told it's only on the kids menu. The range in the new menu was really lacking, nothing appealed to me that much, so we just got some hot beverages instead.
Bil
Cavalier service bordering on being rude and average food makes this place a must avoid!<br/>A 50 minute for an underwhelming burger in a half full restaurant was unacceptable. <br/>The woman who walks around like she is a manager just told us it was so long as two members of staff had just gone home and obviously didn't feel an apology was necessary.<br/>During our 50 minute wait we asked for a refill of water and were quite courtly told the water station is on the far side of the restaurant. How we were to know this on our first visit here is beyond me. <br/>This will also be our last visit here.
Sej
Ordered The Charlie; poached eggs, smashed avocado on rye. Great menu choices but didn't deliver on taste. Everything was a bit bland for my liking. Nice coffee though; smooth and tasty.
Insta_G_Chefram
The aioli with the chips they do is sensational! No really big standout favourites for brekkie, all a bit same same and boring.. Staff where unaccommodating and quite short, but if this foodie is complimenting you on aioli, think there might be a problem.
Butterfly Kisses
been here heaps of Ā times over the years. has always been great. john is like a little fairy god mother and the staff are genrally great. food has been really good Ā but is starting to lack a little ,needs a little face lift and imagination injection . i suspect Boyz has Ā out grown the room they have.<br/>still love Ā as the go to breakfast cafe Ā but do go to other places in mornington as well Ā now.
Begg.jb
Great Service. Went there after a having lunch at another venue for coffee and cake. Service was fantastic and staff were friendly. Great experience would go there again. Had other family members with us and they all said what a nice place. Would recommend the place to others.
Thefreerangeplate
Wouldn't eat here again. Had much better elsewhere. Felt like my meal was straight out of a truck stop. Nothing special at all.
Candicemsaunders
Waiters were lovely but the owner or the person who walked around looking like she owned the place was rude - we waited an hour and a half for breakfast and she refused to make eye contact, apologise. We were finally asked if we would like a coffee on the house but in the end the food was NOT worth the wait
Kar.loi
Bad service. First of all the waitresses were rude to begin with, we had to ask to order because no one had asked us. After ordering I'm pretty certain we were forgotten about as our order took over an hour to come. And last of all the price is ridicules! Shouldn't cost over $30 for a breakfast. Never going there again, if I had've known I was going to pay that much I would've gone somewhere with great quality food.
Dale Of Melb
Average. Just an average breakfast that took a long time to come out. It might be better to visit during the off season.
MeWantFood
Food was ok but to wait an hour and a hour for sliders was not on. Look like the kitchen cant handle a half full restaurant
Kallie Alviano
If you dont mind waiting 1hr 30min for a burger and sliders, this is the place for you. The food is ok but not brilliant considering the wait. Shame cos its in a good position
123
Longggggg wait. Took nearly 1 hour after ordering to receive our meals for a sunday late lunch. not impressed.
Cat
No value for money. I will not go back to a place where I pay $19 for 1 piece of toast with supposedly poached eggs after waiting 10 minutes to be seated despite a booking. Ok, Sunday mornings are busy but the manager was running around taking orders rather than seating people and organise the place. Oh, yes the coffee was really bad, too.... Competition is massive so the Boyz better get their act together!
Facebook User
Lovely winters breaky. Beautiful staff and beautiful food. .. Would totally recommend to anyone to try ... You will not be disappointed
Prue Elyse
Amazing food and the staff were delightful! Will definitely be back :-)
Fran
Great brunch. We have dine here on many occasions. today was the first time we made it for brunch. the food was amazing. eggs Benedict with bacon yum yum.
Earl
Asked the owner (John) to be understanding and do a take away chicken risotto for our 11 month old son who broke out in a skin rash (from eating fish) and couldn't come into the restaurant. He refused saying the is too busy today it's Mother's Day.
Sholderness
Very long wait and SO EXPENSIVE!. Took my mother, sister and niece out for lunch on a fairly quiet Tuesday, on the school holidays. Ordered our lunch within 15 minutes of sitting down. Coffee arrived immediately, then came the long wait for lunch. Almost an hour later our lunch arrived. I ordered scallops which cost $18. On my plate were FOUR small scallops and a pile of rocket with a very small amount of mango. Seriously, with all the competition in Mornington you think you would be served up more than four scallops - that works out to $4:50 per scallop and they were tiny! I basically got a plate full of rocket. Never again will l go back. Mornington main street has so many places to choose from, why would you ever return?
Katherine
Mmmmm sounds like the bad reviews may be false .... Mornington local here, this cafe has been here the longest , is the busiest cafe on main st and the most consistent . It's the ONLY place we go for breaky . Breaky is too to die for love the eggs benny the best . Coffee has gotten better not worse. Service was a little bit slower today when we went however they do have new young staff so it's to be expected . If service is sooooooo slow like ppl are saying perhaps go off peak time not 9 am on a sat or sun morning when this cafe is packed ( because it's awesome ) and go slightly later for a fantastic experience . Well done john to you and your staff you do a brilliant job and trust me cafes come and go in mornington .... Not the boyz they have been here for years and is here to stay ... Has to tell you something . . Katherine .
BigEm
Waited an hour for food to arrive, still never came. When requested to check with kitchen, waitress told us 'Leanne' would come and see us. Never happened. Went in to pay for coffees and leave but still no one had any idea what was going on. Put money on counter and walked out. Don't bother. Why have so many tables if you cannot service them?!
Alana Paige Norman
Got told as we were seated half an hour wait for food... Over an hour later still no food. They obviously can't accommodate for a full restaurant. Coffee was average (tasted like instant) very watery. What was meant to be toast was just like warmed chewy soggy bread. Food was cold, felt like I could of cooked it myself at home.... This cafe Is just well know for it's name but if fast becoming known for it's bad breakie reputation.
Bec89
The food was a massive let down. waited over an hour for 2 breakfasts, one eggs on toast and one veggie breakky. In the time we sat waiting for our food, we watched other patrons arrive, be seated, have their orders taken, and served lunch, still before our breakfasts came out. After about 45 minutes i was still hopeful that the food would be worth the wait, but as an hour passed and we were finally brought our food, parts of which were cold, we weren't impressed. The 'toasted' ciabatta was barely warmed up, verging on stale. The $3 side order of onions must have been worth about a dollar a slice, the serving was miniscule. The 'bruschetta', that consisted of 4 slices of tomato on toast, was not as I remember it to have been years ago, the bruschetta mix that used to be diced with fresh basil was to rave about.. Not so this time. And cold wilted spinach never goes down well. was disheartening to see several other tables seated following us, were also served before us, it seems that had we have ordered chicken sliders we would have had our meals pretty quickly.... Sitting there watching plate after plate of chicken sliders come out, I was beginning to wonder if anyone in the kitchen there knew how to run a docket line properly. <br/><br/>Feeling ripped off, we went to pay the bill At which point we also had parts of someone else's bill added onto ours. All in all, a very poor experience. Definitely won't be back.
Ben Clark
Came in today to be not even welcomed by the staff. Stood around for 5 minutes and were finally shown a table and it wasn't even busy. Meals came out really fast but the bacon was burnt and the meal had no flavour. Staff weren't friendly at All and wouldn't eat hear again. So many better options in Mornington
MySay
We have been to Boyz many times over the past years and continue to return. Yes, it's not always perfect but what restaurant or cafe doesn't have it's problems. To expect perfection 100% of the time is unrealistic. Yes, some of the prices seem expensive but that's what you pay at good places these days. <br/>What you can be sure of is a great feed, all of menu items are massive serves, a fun atmosphere provided by the staff, especially the owner, and coffee that is consistently good. Enough positives to out weigh any negative experiences I say! <br/>We will be back.
MrsTizzle
Was very disappointed with food and service. We ordered fish and chips which was tasteless and quite a small serve, although the tartare and coleslaw that came with it were nice. I was mostly disappointed with the kids meal of calamari. A kids meal priced at $12 is at the top end of the scale in price so i was expecting real calamari however what came out was 6 terrible deep fried rings of calamari and a small serve of chips. Not enough to fill up my young daughter and terrible quality for the price. Service was terrible too. The coffee however was pretty good.
Jnoreilly
Short-staffed. While we enjoyed the date & apricot toast, the main reason we were there was for coffee; and they couldn't manage to get that. Two reminders and 45 mins later, but still no coffee to one of our group. Finally when the food was eaten (without coffee), we asked them to take the coffee off the bill, and they did but that didn't help the coffee-less guest. . The reason given: "we're short staffed".

Best Breakfast. Variety on the breakfast menu is great, and the food was the best breakfast out we have had for a very long time. Definitely going back here for brekky!! Service was friendly too.
Chars
The manager was very accommodating for a large group, service from staff was great and the food was consistent, fresh and tasty. Coffee and the fresh juices are a plus too!
Hungergames
Still cant find any breakfast place that comes close....maybe Ricmond lader comes close but boyz takes the cake
Rob
What a great vibe for breakie!. Yes, yes, yes. This place really rocks its socks off for breakfast. There are some spurious reviews of this place below, obviously posted by critics who are deliberately trying to damage Boyz. NOW HEAR THIS Boyz 4 Breakie is a top spot to start the day. Great menu, great food, great staff, great service. Well worth the trip from Ballarat. Love the whole experience, Wobbie & Twishy.

This was highly recommended and I loved it. Food was amazing, service was quickest and polite, prices were good especially since the servings were generous - I can't understand the other reviews on here - it was great!

Great place, fantastic view. I have visited Boyz several times now, and had an awesome experience each time. The owner and the blonde lady are funny as, making you feel like you have gone to a live show, not out for brunch.<br/>Food is lovely, and combinations are delightful. Fresh juice and coffee are the best on the Peninsula.<br/>I can't understand people complaining, as I have never witnessed one person unhappy the whole 8 years I have been going there.

Slow and clumsy. We travelled a long distance to try this place. Twenty minutes after ordering, we were told that there is at least a 45 minute wait. We pointed out that it with two very young toddlers it would have been useful to know this before we were seated. We were asked to make up our mind and cancel before the food order was placed. Having already waited some time we decided to stay. After an hour the food arrived. The pancake order was burnt. We informed one waiter who rolled his eyes and walked away, the second did take it back and the owner, brought us another one (not a full order just replaced the one burnt one) practically throwing it at us. Never heard one polite word from the staff or owner. Take some food with you if you go. Worst service and attitude in town, don't bother.

Staff need to go back to TAFE....no customer service, no smiles and no teamwork. Very disappointing considering after waiting over an hour for breakfast the food was actually good.

The number of wait staff milling around seeming working but doing nothing tells me the owners need to review their practice. The elderly woman who seats people fluffs around and issues instructions just holds up efficiencies . The food is clearly okay but the service is dreadful

A few smiles but a let down. I was left with the only choice of visiting this place as it appears all places in this side of mornington (the esplanade) were not serving breakfast after 11 am. When I entered the place, took a few minutes for what seemed to be the manger of the place. Little did I know, he would be the only good part of my visit.I requested a freshly squeezed orange juice, which was okay. The waitress taking my order appeared to be nothing but disappointing. I requested a simple 2 poached eggs on toast. She tried to over sell bacon, which I avoid. She still did try to sell spinach & mushroom (not sure why) I decided to change the order a few minutes later to scrambled eggs. (asked another waitress, quite obviously) Little did I know, she was right behind me and when I placed the order (she loudly said "SO NOW HE WANTS SCRAMBLED EGGS") the order took over 45 minutes (and only did the manager notice, as I was right next to the billing counter) The cutlery drawer was right next to me (it was banged over 5 times) Overall, if i exclude the gentleman (manager) the visit was nothing but disappointing. Food wasn't great either!!!

Blah breakfast. I have had breakfasts on and off here for years. Was disappointed to see recently the quality has slipped, yet the prices still remain exhorbitant. $40 for two small eaters for breakfast is a LOT. <br/>My daughter's pancake was dry. My fritter was overwhelmed with balsamic vinegar. Shame really, as it was never cheap there but the food quality was always excellent.

Higher expectations.. I don't like to put negative comments on here however i'm not sure what the hype has been about.<br/>I have dined here occasionally since it opened a few years ago and not once have I had a decent breakfast.. Went for lunch the other week and had the chicken burger which was amazing. Terrible coffee though.. Burnt milk, watery and bitter and I think it was $4!<br/>The service is disappointing too for such a well know venue. Above average cost for below average everything. Sorry.

Went for an early lunch today! When we went through the door a young guy was there straight away! He was about to seat us, then some old guy cut him off and took over! ( felt that was a touch odd) Then our waitress was very over the top with a very fake personality! I asked if I could have the Boyz breakie with fried eggs instead of poached and I was told " we can't do that!" Wow didn't realise it was that hard. Then the waitress brought my latte over and it spilled all over the saucer and if that was not bad enough it was bitter and cold!!!! Finally my breakfast arrived! The poached eggs were hard, the toast was soggy and the worst baked beans I have ever had in my life . How that meal was worth $20 I will never know! Many better places to eat breakfast in Mornington!! What has happened to this place?

Just had breaky here on a Saturday, wasn't busy food took for ever. Worse coffee I have ever had would of enjoyed my international roast at home more staff were slow and walked past us non stop for 20 min before taking out order. Worse breaky spot ever would avoid people !!!!!!!!

Very inflexible Manu and pretty average food. Good if greasy fried eggs and soggy sourdough are your thing!

Fresh & Light Lunch!. Took my mum and little sis out for lunch back in November 2012. Seat without a booking! Took a little while to get the drinks order taken but everything else was perfect. We had 3 yummy fresh and light meals to share and freshly juiced beverages! We walked away very pleased Thanks for a great lunch, hope my next meal is just as good.

Forget it. Tiny eggs that were the best part of hard boiled and hollandaise saltier than tears.

Extremely Happy! Busy for a reason!. When myself and my boyfriend were driving down along the coast we needed somewhere to stop off in Mornington to get some breakfast and The Boyz 4 Breakie was the first one we stumbled accross, and how lucky we were!! We were approached by many staff as soon as we were seated to make sure they could take our order promptly, There was funny wait staff banter aswell. We didn't find the wait to be overly long for the food (considering it was clearly packed!) and the food was amazing!!! The milkshakes were amazing and the poached eggs with our eggs benedict were cooked perfecty.. Whilst I found it a bit pricey, it was definitely worth the money!

Breakfast is ok but service is a bit slow.

Cold coffee, long wait times, bacon tastes really cheap and eggs were overcooked. Needs to step up, very poor, not recommended at all

Busy but fun. I went to "Boyz" with my family this past Sunday Nov.11th. I must say this place was insanely busy.. I felt so bad for the two boys on the coffee machine as they were incredibly under the pump, yet they were still having a great time laughing and smiling.. Our food was amazing my partner loved her Pancakes and I loved my chicken burger. It was a great atmosphere they had some music going and the staff were so fun and friendly. I laughed when i saw them giving each other HI 5's. It is a nice relaxed place, which is good because too many cafes and restaurants get too stressed out which make it awkward. I hope this place stays busy and we will be back there very soon..
