Review Coffee Traders - Mornington

William Jiang
One of the best Mochas I've had! ☕ Perfect blend of chocolate into coffee
Hanna Meyer
Best strong tasting coffee in Mornington by far. I’m a regular here and never disappointed.
Elizabeth McMillan
Excellent coffee, friendly and skilled staff and delicious ham brie ficele
Elizabeth Armstrong
Friendly service, fine coffee and desserts. Our group of friends enjoys an after meal coffee at Coffee Traders. It's just a tiny place but with outdoor seating there's plenty of room.

The man on 25 Jan was really rude to us for having an ice cream here when we didn’t realise it wasn’t the seating for the gelato shop. It was very quiet and it wasn’t like we were taking up seats from other customers. I am very disappointed as this was my go to coffee shop in Mornington and I used to tell people to go here because not only was the coffee nice but the staff were very lovely. When did the service get so unfriendly? What a shame, I won’t be going back nor recommending this coffee shop in future. Response to owners comment: I have experienced your service in the past many times and the staff used to be friendly on those occasions. This experience was extremely unpleasant and I feel an obligation to leave my review up as the man was indeed quite rude and was not polite or friendly in the slightest. If your service has suffered so much due to covid then perhaps don’t let people be rude to your loyal customers. Like I said this was my go to coffee shop but this person was rude and we didn’t even realise it wasn’t the ice cream shop. How do you know we weren’t going to get a coffee as soon as we finished out ice cream? We were planning on it and I was literally about to get up and grab 2 coffees but decided that I’m not going to be treated like that and we went to another coffee shop.

Strongly recommend, Best coffee in town, friendly staff and great customer service. great start to my day 😍Thank you 😍

Amazing coffee, such friendly staff. It’s the perfect spot stop for a pick me up. I venture here quite often and every time is always a delight.

Only had coffee here, so review is based off that. Nice little hole in the wall cafe with probably the best coffee we had. Commonfolk and Coffee Traders are up there in the top 2 positions of best coffee we had in mornington. Staff were lovely. Not too many seats available though, might have to get take away or get lucky.

Friendly service. Great coffee. Just moved to the Mornington peninsula and will definitely be back to this beautiful little cafe hidden away just off the busy Main Street

Most delightful little cafe in the heart of Mornington. Great coffee, friendly service and the best banana bread ever!! Now that I live locally, I can't resist a visit at least twice a week!
Foodie With Ideas..
Coffee traders, given that you're the most expensive coffee shop in Mornington I expect quality every time I purchase..
Today wasn't one of those days, the wait was so long I almost feel asleep, don't worry the staff where having fun while I waited..
I have noted that the staff seem less interested lately I should have seen this as a sign.. I watched as 5 coffees went out in the time I waited 15mins,
I think I'll wait 15+ mins for my coffee else where from know on and save myself .50 in the process. Too slow, expensive and just not worth it!
Samantha
Coffee is really inconsistent. Went a while back and thought it was average, but decided to give it another shot the other day. It was absolutely beautiful! So much so, that we went again the next day and splurged on the large $6.50 size. Only this time they tasted extremely sour and there was hardly any froth on our cappuccinos. $14 down the drain :(

If you are a coffee snob, this is the right place. Friendly service, but more importantly good coffee beans. My strong skinny latte was smooth, not bitter and satisfied my pallet. I'm a ☕️ snob. 🤗

Cute little cafe in Mornington. The entrance is nice and inviting. Interior deco wasnt anything special. I actually wasnt a fan of the coffee but the banana bread I had was so perfect. The girls working here were so beautiful great service :)
Gdkf
Cute little cafe with a nice variety of sweets on display. Soy chai Latte and Flat White is good! Lemon Curd Tart was superb and the little dollop of thick cream just gave it that finishing touch. The only negative feedback is that there were a few dirty tables, including our own which we had to clean ourselves, whilst the waiters had a good chat inside.
Rob
Had breakfast here today. Friendly, quick service. Food was excellent! Requested no strawberries on the banana bread (personal preference) and took up the suggestion of fresh pear slices in their place. An excellent suggestion and one I'm glad I took up! Blueberry muesli was wonderful and a generous serving that was too much for my pregnant partner to finish. Excellent coffee offerings from multiple roasters; Five Senses, Seven Seeds, Atomica and Omar and The Marvellous Coffee Bird that I noticed. Dine in coffee was great and the rating would've been higher if the takeaway coffee ordered at the end wasn't overextracted and then denied to be by the barista due to them using volumetrics. As a barista, I understand volumetrics. Yes volumetrics help keep it all consistent, but you do need to check them regularly as the extractions can change with something as simple as humidity in the air. Not everybody is baffled by jargon! Overall though, a great little cafe doing a great job and I will return when next in the area.

Consistently good coffee, food and service. It is always busy but they manage to keep up and it's never too long a wait. It doesn't get much better than this!

We went In search of a new blend of coffee for our home coffee machine and thought to try out coffee traders. We had their house blend which is is 5sences dark horse. It was great. The coffee was made perfectly. We treated ourselves to the banana bread which I must say was the greatest banana bread dish I've ever had. But it's definitely a portion for two. This place is cute has a great vibe and for a little specialist coffee store it ticks all the boxes. I will be back.

Friendly staff, nice cappuccino, great and relaxing place for a coffee.

Nearby there's via boffe which has a better rating but personally i like coffee traders better.

My boyfriend and I came here for something sweet after lunch. We ordered a latte, cappiccino, a lemon curd tart and a lemon & coconut cupcake.

The coffee was reasonable. We enjoyed the lemon curd tart (I wish it was less grainy and with more lemony flavour). The cupcake was a bit dry, perhaps it was because of the coconut flakes that were used? I think if the cupcake had coconut cream incorporated into it, it would taste more moist.

Although the cakes were not perfect, it was still quite a nice place to sit and relax. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Bel
Really nice chai, however to eat in and get a regular it was much smaller than a take-away. Butter cake is light, buttery and lemony, mandarin cupcake is average and pretty dense. Insanely expensive, $20.50 total.

Adorable little cafe just off the main street. Staff were busy, but not busy enough to greet every customer with a genuine smile. We ordered takeaway coffees and breakfast before hitting the road. wow. banana bread with mascarpone, strawbs and pistachio had us drooling like Homer Simpson. So good we giggled. Excellent coffee. What a gem! It is very tiny, probably cosy in winter but doesn't hold a crowd.
Game Of Scones
Best place in Mornington to have a coffee. Just off main street so you might need to go searching. Love how they include a little biscuit with the coffee. Would get a perfect score but the cafe is really small so it can feel a little crowded if they have a few customers.
Ciara
Really love their coffee and food. Staff is always welcoming and generous. I find though that the cafe is very cramped and there is not a lot of space to move around.
Richard Marchandise
My favourite place to have a coffee when i come down to the peninsula. Their Mork hot chocolate is really, really good!! They avocado and goat cheese toast is a great way to start the day.
Al Prinsy
Coffee is super! I pop in when I am in Mornington and am always served by lovely staff who know how to make a delightful espresso! And most recently the Black Tonic - wow! Highly Recommended!!
Danny
Good coffee, one of the decent ones around main street which can be a bit hit and miss. Also had the bacon maple bagel (specials board) which was delicious, lite, fresh and decent size and the second meal was a sandwich which was also fresh, tasty and rather large by local standards.
Morgan
Whim went to the trip, then randomly chose a cafe to take a rest...although here is a small cafe, they provide a range of food. then i ordered the beef soup, it was nice choice. I thought it would be sour but its not. The atmosphere is harmony.
Ramieleatsshootsandleaves
Good coffee in such a small joint - which I don't mind so much, but those that get a tad claustrophobic might want to come when it's off peak?
One of Mornington's better places for coffee.
Leanne_d13
Place was a mess. Tables outside empty & full of dirty cups etc. Service slow & waited nearly 30 mins nearly for a coffee not sure if it's changed ownership, but not like it used to be, efficient. We are locals who do lots of coffee, but won't be back here
Chelsey Ramos
Great coffee but shame that they don't do any eggs for their brekkie menu. Food was tasty but could have been better an more than 2 cherry tomatoes with the mushroom on toast

The cafe that keeps on giving. I have been coming here for years and today, I just had to give them a review for making me smile.
For years the coffee has been great to exceptional.
Gradually the service grew from disinterested to whole hearted enthusiasm for making your day.
Earlier this year they began giving water to every table, something I’ve noticed no other cafe on the peninsula can manage.
Recently this cafe that just keeps giving has started giving a free biscuit with every coffee.
Today as I sat and enjoyed my perfect coffee with a glass of water and a free biscuit all delivered with friendly chat and a smile, the young lady that made my coffee came over to me and said, “we are just cutting up our muesli slice, take a piece on us.”
This was totally unnecessary and completely made my day.
Thank-you Coffee Traders for always giving more.
Emma1988
Wouldnt go back. Service is slow and they mucked up an order on a day that wasnt even that busy. Poor service which is a shame because the food was nice!
Richard
Yummy food for such a small place. The food here is always spot on, no matter what I order. The sweets are great and lots of GF items. seems they got rid of the old (amazing) hot chocolates, the ones on the stick, which is a shame..especially as what it was replaced with was pretty average. But overall a great coffee shop and I always enjoy coming here. Staff friendly too
Pirate Sam
Deserves a better score..... A wonderful café that serves consistently good coffee. Staff are nice and always provide good service. One of the best cafes on the peninsula. A nice relaxing atmosphere in a cute little shop.
Lavenda77
Great little place. Friendly staff
Great coffee. Good tea.
Delicious toasted sangas. And great tunes!

Dont take any notice of the bad critics - best coffee in Mornington. I have read the reviews and cannot believe in the years I have sat in this quaint and humble coffee shop that I have experienced a bad coffee - The staff are more than accommodating - just tell them what you want even as far as in the colour of the cup and they do it with a smile.
To describe the atmosphere is like taking you back to a time when people had time to give you time! You are left alone to read the paper (kindly supplied) or they converse in conversation with you. They even come around and ask if you would like another coffee/drink. I am even bold enough to state the lack of seating at times is actually a testimony to the popularity of the place. If the coffee is not to your liking tell them and they do something about it ... It’s a thumbs up from me and a bigger one for the biscuit that comes with your drink and an even bigger one if it’s the chocolate one!
Bec V
Consistently great! Fun friendly staff, that always make you feel welcome. Im a soy drinker, and they know just how to treat the milk so it tastes great. Top 2 coffee shops on the peninsula.
Theanthonywallace
Do you want a great coffee? And the best food? Try the Breakfast Ciabatta - Ciabatta roll filled with smashed hard boiled egg, Bacon, melted cheese rocket and home made relish. Do yourself a favour when in Mornington or even if you have to drive to get there.
Pam
Good coffee, open into the late afternoon on a saturday... Thank you!
Sharon Lauridsen
We were informed that the only difference between a cappacino and a flat white was the chocolate on top! For a coffee cafe.... They need to train the staff on coffee
Nettarose
Best coffee in Mornington, great food and always friendly staff.
Richy Libre
Best coffee in Mornington. By far the best coffee in Mornington.

Cute little and cosy. If you go to mornington, you need to try this place.
Jodie Soderlind
This place looks lovely on the outside so we went, the food is nice enough but our first coffees tasted burnt with a soapy aftertaste. We returned them and while my second coffee was burnt the soapiness was gone. My friends however was even soapier with bubbles that had a rainbow shine on them.
Needless to say it was terrible coffee.
Mattevy
Come for the coffee. Title says it all, don't expect a quite atmosphere at this place. if you want quality, you got it, however I'd advise take away.
Kooka
Went for a take away coffee after reading the raving reviews. While the coffee itself was good but for a cappuccino I think it was more like a flat white... Might try again next time...

Best Coffee. Mornington Coffee Traders is the best cafe in Mornington. Have been a regular for years. Fabulous coffee and fresh food. Excellent customer service. A touch of Europe on the Peninsula
Jillfsr
Good Coffee. Clean up needed. Good coffee. But the café is very small and glasses often grubby. The place needs to be kept clean. Basically, they just need to clean up their act...

Impressed!. Very impressed! This little coffee shop is alway buzzing and yesterday I took the time to grab a seat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed a coffee and an egg and bacon ciabatta. My latte was delicious, as was my breakfast, and the staff were knowledgeable and inviting. Highly recommended, this place has such a great feel about it!

SERVICE REVIEW. Went in the late afternoon for a bite and a coffee. The coffee and was OK but the servings were on the small size (especially for what they charged). What left the greatest impression on me, however, was how RUDE the man at the coffee machine was. The waitresses were lovely but this man was exceptionally rude and treated us in a very disdainful manner. We had only just entered the cafe, it was not very busy, and when we asked about the sandwiches we received a very surly reply. This attitude did not subside during our time there. My mother in particular was on the receiving end of much of his bad temper and she is an exceptionally polite and cheerful person, and his remarks quite upset her.

I understand that it was late in the afternoon on a Sunday and perhaps he was a little tired and irritable after a long day. However, if being tired is going to make you treat your customers like that, especially when they had been perfectly nice to you and only wanted to spend their money at your cafe, then perhaps you shouldn't be dealing with customers, or perhaps you should be working shorter shifts. The food was fine, but this experience overshadowed that and has marred my impression of the place. I certainly won't be returning, especially when there are dozens of other cafes around where the food and drink are just as good, and where the staff are actually friendly!
Jen
Not gluten free friendly. Went there for breakfast and when asked what they had on the menu that was gluten free. Server responded "bread". I asked again on each menu item and she replied they could do toast. Finally got an answer they could do toasties gluten free. When I asked which ones they said all of them. Toastie was 2 slices of bread with some bacon and mayo drown chicken (gluten free?) with some lettuce and tomato piled on top. Coffee was good
Weina Hsieh Tan
Nicest coffee in this part of Victoria. Cute and cosy little joint.

Best coffee in Mornington. Easily the best coffee you will find in Mornington. Small seating inside can sometimes be a issue. But great coffee place.
Tttjanna
Great coffee and breakfast. Porridge was lovely and served so beautifully. Egg and bacon ciabatta roll with relish yummy too!!
Coffeelover
Not bad, overrated the food wasn't excellent and the coffee was a bit rushed (being made) and slow to bring to my table which was 60cm from the counter!
Veronica
They have dropped the ball too many times! Being a local, I used to frequent this once great coffee haunt, time and time again, ignored/ unacknowledged by staff, rude when finally spoken too, Extremely slow service for a espresso...18min!!! I thought you might have been havi a bad day but after 5 more visits it's clear you no longer provide service or a decent coffee! Sad for both parties.
Michael2810
Had lunch here on the day they launced their Spring menu. The poached chicken salad was absolutely delicious. The coffee was excellent and the service very friendly. Hands down I'll be back next time I'm in Mornington.
Desie
Was so disappointed with the coffee. The milk had not been heated. There were 3 of us. As for the service that left a lot to be desired. We have definitely crossed them off our list. All 3 had issues with our coffee. Disappointing

Great coffee shanon. Great coffee mate!!

-----10 Aug, 2013-----

Easily the best coffee in mornington....
TeeOz
Service poor, overpriced, they have a chalkboard outside with specials, walked in at 4.30 and ordered off the board, they got huffy, saying it was late. Well, wipe off the specials or put availability times. Coffee ok, but not as good as expected. Disappointing
Gastronauts
Coffee at its best. The coffee here is absolutely brilliant, it rates with the best I've ever had. For me, It's the large flat white (Dark Horse Blend). The super large cup is fantastic; It's like coffee heaven (and of course it's a dollar more than a normal large, there's a lot more in it!). They have teas and herbal blends of the best quality (which my wife enjoys), and the food is excellent. There is filtered water for the table, which for me is always a big plus.
Millie
Excellent chai tea, perfect for the weather. Quick service and friendly staff
CriTEAque
Hit and miss. Overpriced. Indifferent attitude from staff.

BOQUETE COFFEE EXPORTING TO EUROPE AND AMERICA. Dear Sirs:
Frutas y Vegetales Tropicales del Sur, S.A., was founded on the promise of distributing fresh, delicious coffee every time. And we're as committed to that idea today as we were in 2000.
Hamesha ́s premium coffee starts with our unique premium of 100% Arabica beans, grown in Boquete , one of the world's most renowned coffee regions. We roast them in our own facility, under the watchful eye of our Coffee Masters who taste test up to 75,000 cups a year to make sure that we provide the same great Hameshas taste in every grain we sell.
Best of all, our coffee contains no additives and no artificial flavours - just the special taste a true coffee grain should have .
Panama coffee was historically under-rated and overlooked, but no longer. That perception has been corrected in recent years with the outstanding Best of Panama competition held each year, attracting global competition for the best lots, and spectacular prices. The Geisha coffee produced has also garnered heaps of attention for it's unique floral cup character.
Panama coffees are brightly toned with vivid floral aromatics and clean fruited notes. Cheaper Panamas are a staple of higher-end commercial roasters and lower-end specialty roasters. There are many lower-grown Panamas that are ubiquitous in the U.S. market. It's just the Boquete and Volcan coffees from the Chiriqui district, ones from small family-owned farms that produce the truly distinct, unique coffees. They employ N'gobe Indians for the picking season, who will come to the coffee farms to work under some of the best wage standards and work laws in Central America.
We would like to start a business relationship with your chain, therefore feel free to ask for more information and we will send you sample of different roast such as (italian, french, etc.)
Thanking you in advance, we remain awaiting for your kind comments,
Best Regards,

Mitzel Contreras
FRUTAS Y VEGETALES TROPICALES DEL SUR, S.A.
PH: 507-6760-0231

$5.50 for a large Long black ?? They are having a laugh , the quality is good but please there is no reason for that !!!!
CamSaya
Really great value for money and great quality ingredients. We ordered the beetroot salad and sausage roll with salad. The first thing we noticed was that the salad serving was a decent size next to the sausage roll and not just some garnish thrown on as an after thought. Great soy latte coffee from the barista who obviously takes pride in making a good cup. Exceptional service from the waitress making the tasty salads. The cakes also looked great but we were full after lunch!
G Col
Excellent coffee. Slow cooked pork sandwich is also very nice.
Foodcritic
Lovely. Amazing service . The young girls are lovely, always giggling and smiling. Coffee is made to perfection, the way you like & the food is great try the salmon bagel
Littlemissfoodsnob
Meh. Hot chocolate is completely ridiculous, hot milk comes with a huge lollipop of stale-ish chocolate. coffee is average.
Mary
Best Coffee in Mornington!. Coffee & Food Sensational. My husband and I are regular customers and would not dream of going anywhere else for a coffee in Mornington. Some of our favs are banana bread, pancakes, breakfast focaccia & not to forget the hot chocolate on a stick, Yummy! And their coffee is the best, get it the same everytime. If your in the Mornington area do yourself a favour and check out Coffee Traders! :)

Best coffee in Mornington
Anne-Marie Coombs
My number one coffee spot. Consistency is key.
Mally
Terrible. Had the stalest bread of my life. This is the first time I've had to complain about bread to which o was told yes its fresh (I could barely eat it) and was rudely treated. They also forgot our tables cutlery and acted rude the entire time. This was for my birthday and it was very upsetting being berated for pointing out something. Also their lime was so dehydrated it had no juice left. Pathetic.

Quality coffee, quality food. I have been frequenting Coffee Traders Mornington for around 3 years now, I go there for my morning take-away most week-day mornings and for a dine-in coffee and brunch on a weekend every couple of weeks.
The coffee is always consistently good, well textured milk, not too hot and it has a lovely flavour and good strength. The staff know me by name and I like going there for a chat just as much as the coffee.
Coffee Traders can get VERY busy and at those times there can inevitably be a bit of a wait for a coffee, so I've taken to ordering over the phone when I'm in a hurry. They wait till they see me at the doorway and then make it!
They've had a recent renovation which has opened up the place and made it feel bigger, it's really nice and the new window which opens is so cool!
On the weekends I like to have their Corn and dill fritters, banana bread or bacon, chilli jam, avocado sandwich. The food is always really nice, one time they messed up my order but were very apologetic and fixed it straight away, plus I got a free coffee!
Coffee Traders also have another site at Mount Martha which is just as good. I don't get there very often, but when I have I've really enjoyed it.

PS, not sure what the previous review is on about, but I've not seen a scone on the counter here in all my times I've been here, so perhaps they've reviewed the wrong business!!

Cold Coffee and Tiny Tables!. Having lived in Morngington for over 7 years Coffee Traders used to be a fave. I returned home from the holidays looking forward to a latte and one of their delish pies but was very dissapointed. The renovations have opened up the little space they had but the tables are tiny!!! Could barely fir two coffees and a plate on them and the decor was cheap looking. Also the coffee was luke warm and the service slow. So sad to see a favorite ruied!!

Terrible Coffee, Bad Service, Old Food!. Having lived and grown up on the Mornington Peninsula, I was recently back visiting family. Whilst meandering along Main Street we decided to stop at Coffee Traders for a coffee and cake.

We sat outside as inside seemed quite cramped, with wait staff pushing past and leaning over people waiting to order. After placing the order with the 'couldn't-be-bothered' staff we waiting for our seemingly 'easy' order of 2 coffees, a Florentine biscuit and scone after seeing them on display.

What arrived at our table was firstly 2 stone-cold coffees. Followed by a TINY scone (a quarter of the size of those on display!) a few minutes later. We were left to wonder if the Florentine biscuit was still coming, one would think the sweets were the easiest part of the order!

Since I couldn't drink my coffee, it was SO cold that it tasted like old milk I returned it immediately for a new one, prompting me to ask if the rest of the order was still to come. The girl grunted a response after arguing that she had just made the coffee!

Finally the Florentine biscuit came to the table and again was vastly misrepresented by those on display, this one appeared old and dusty unlike the glistening fresh looking ones on display!!

Terrible coffee, bad service and old food.. certainly wouldn't waste my money going back again!
Fish
Top Spot. Tucked away off Main St this cafe has the 'X' factor. Plenty of people know how good it is based on the numbers that were there. Seating in and outside was good - although it is a little cramped inside. The menu has all the right stuff and there is a selection of cakes and muffins too. Service was great.
Food wise we ordered the Sourdough fruit toast with Mascarpone, pear, walnuts and honey was a quality mix and i would highly recommend. The Breakie Focaccia also did the job nicely. Coffee's were a highlight and i'd head back again just for a hot skinny cap... Get there!

Best coffee in town

What's the fuss?. I'd heard decent things about this place but walked away sadly, disappointed. The service was slow and unfriendly, the food average and the seating quite cluttered. The saving grace was the coffee. Shame.
Cameron
Shocking service 3 weeks in a row!!!!
Delicious coffee when they get the order correct?????
Mmmsedap
Decent coffee, but you might have to wait. Arrived and ordered a takeaway coffee from the counter straight away. Didn't realize that the barista had to make nearly 10 other cups before mine! They were very busy on a Sunday afternoon, had to wait around 15mins for a takeaway coffee. Five Senses (Dark Horse Blend) coffee was decent.
Brando The Pig
Good little cafe on the peninsula. Although doesnt deliver anywhere near the standard of a cbd/inner city brunch spot, it is nicely setup and worth a try
Chantelle Morrissey
Great coffee, been looking for coffee this good on the peninsula for ages because I've been spoiled by drinking coffee in the CBD for so long! Really great service and a cute little spot.
Rosemary A
Great!. Fantastic place for brunch. We hd the smashed avocado (with mint) and sourdough. They're generous with their serves of avocado which is nice. The coffee is fantastic! The hot chocolates are made with "real" chocolate (i.e. solid chocolate at the end of a wooden spoon that melts away)....it's not the best tasting hot chocolate (in my opinion a 6/10) and you pay for the novelty of it. I would come here again; reasonably priced (coffee and brunch totaled $18-20.)
Mike Ott
Excellent service!. We used to buy coffee beans from this place for a while, but really tried it out only today. Were very impressed by the service -- staff were helpful and nice. Having coffee with a 2-year old usually leaves great mess behind, but the waiters didn't blink an eye.
We were also treated to some wonderful cakes. Coffee was good, but not exceptional, and we didn't really like the way they did the hot chocolate, but it's purely matter of taste.
Overall -- great place with excellent service and good coffee. Will definitely recommend to friends.
Estelle Bernon
Cute as a button!. The perfect place for lunch and to chill out.
I love going to coffee traders with friends or a good book, it's just so comfortable and relaxed.

The food and coffee are really nice, the staff are friendly and always helpful.

What a gem!
Hilary
Bit of a find!. Honestly the best coffee you will get in melbourne. Priced at parity with the cafés surrounding (read: expensive) with a good selection of delicious cakes.

service is consistently impeccable, accommodating and friendly. Atmosphere is good, if a little cramped. Loos are classy :)

I always make a beeline for this place when in Mornington. Well worth the visit!
Jack William Latrobe
Coffee Traders? More like CHOCOLATE TRADERS!. Ok, I'll be the first to admit, I don't drink coffee. My friends speak highly of the coffee available at this cute little cafe, but my experience is with the hot chocolate.

It's brilliant. It really is. Order a hot chocolate. Ask for the big ones with the dipping sticks. Seriously, I am excited even writing about it. It's tasty, and different. You don't see that stuff many other places.

As for the cafe itself, it's got a good "tradehouse" atmosphere. The outdoor area where I usually sit with friends is covered by nice umbrellas and dainty little chairs and tables. During summer, this area, just up from the beach, lends to some interesting and divine views of the locals ;)

Otherwise, a great place to sit with a mate and have a coffee... or a hot chocolate, in my case.
Jack Wooly Wolstenholme
Easily best coffee in mornington and a great place to meet with frinds, if you can get a seat!
Gingin
Beans beans beans. Coffee traders was recommended to me by a local, I needed some fresh coffee beans. Popped in and to my delight there was a great selection, not only that, the girls behind the counter were great at describing the different roasts and which would be most suited to my needs. Will stop in again for coffee soon.
Om Nom Noms
Overrated. Ordered the fig and almond cake, was very dry and flavorless and stale. The soy latte was average. The staff are clueless when it comes to customer service. Will not be returning to this any time soon.
Chaim Kingsley
This place seems to the 'flavor of the month' as it is full for a boxing day. Coffee is passable for out of Melbourne but the staff are humourless and arrogant
Jessica Hamilton
Best coffee in mornington and cakes to die for, small enough to not feel like a glutton
Iheartbaklava
Lovely staff. Good coffee. Enjoyed the vibe of this cost little cafe. Will come back again.
Tom Lynch
Excellent service. Food was beautiful and coffee was amazing! Overall 9/10
Mochii
Coffee and cakes. A cosy and small cafe. Service is alright, coffee is not bad, milk was smooth except for the soy which was heated too hot and was clumpy. Tried a few of their cakes, the Pecan Tart, Orange Cake, Vanilla Slice, and Berry Cheesecake. Besides the vanilla slice, which tasted slightly like cardboard, all was pretty good but rather sweet.
Sam
Sam. What's the big fuss about Coffee Traders? i've had a coffee there and let me tell you i can make a better one myself!
Tamara
Pretty pokey cafe. Coffee, average nothing fantastic. Food was good and service was great. How they all work behind that counter is beyond me, but they do it well.
JF
Great Coffee. Fantastic coffee and service. Could do with a bit of a freshen up. Bit of a wait when busy, but worth it - call ahead like I do!
Rocky
Been here twice for takeaway coffee. Both times my long mac was a little too full with overly hot under-textured milk. The coffee itself was not bad, but was definitely forgettable. On a side note the girls working in this warm little cafe are pretty cute so i will probably try the coffee again haha
Emilio Rogliano
Great coffee!. I agree with most rcomments - this is the best and most consistent coffede in Mornington. We stay in Mornington every few months and have tried many cafes, but always return to Coffee Traders.

Coffee was good, but not that exceptional. Haven't tried any other coffee in Mornington, so can't comment on "best coffee in Mornington"

Mostly great coffee, every now and again you may get an average one, but 9 out of 10 it's amazing.
