Review Tutti Frutti Gelateria - Mornington

The sour cherry is next level awesomeness! I keep wanting to try the liquorice, but I can’t stop going back to the sour cherry! 🍒

This place has the prettiest display of ice cream, and a lovely outdoor seating area. Great spot to grab an ice cream and walk down to Mornington Beach!

On a summer day when it is hot and sticky, this is the one place in Mornington you need to go for some of the nicest gelato I have ever had. Also, the staff are lovely as well. You can get drinks as well and they have a wide selection of smoothies, milkshakes and of course, gelato!

Icecream was delicious! I tasted Bailey and Hazelnut in chocolate and nut cone. I was surprised for don't find pistachio and ricotta flavours. I will come again hoping to find what missed..

I love this shop! Great service, friendly staff, and awesome Ice Cream. I highly reccomend this to anyone who has recently moved, or is visiting. It has a wide variety of flavours, and many cones to choose from, and cups.

Delicious gelato! Kids loved the novetly choc/sprinkle cones and the staff were very accommodating of dietary requirements and even initiated extra precautions to avoid cross-contamination. 5 stars.
Greta Winter
The best ice-cream in Mornington, you can't go wrong with their amazing selection of flavours. The staff are always friendly and they stay open late in summer, YUM!
Chris Morris
Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Gelato and sorbet consistently of good quality. Due to demand, not all flavours will be available on a given visit. Highly recommend.

Short stroll away from Mother's beach, I got one scoop of marshmallow gelato which really had a subtle but great taste! The seating wasn't too fancy and was a bit cramped inside but the service was quick and efficient

Really lovely gelato. Both me and my friends really enjoyed it, especially the pistacchio, chocolate, sour cherry and lemon flavours.

We always look forward to heading to the Peninsula especially when we go to Tutti Frutti. We popped in over the weekend and were not disappointed. The staff were great and as usual the ice cream was awesome. Can't wait to go back!

Have been to Tutti Frutti a number of times and it never disappoints. There are a range of ice-cream flavours on offer and sometimes they even have a vegan one. Perfect treat for a warm day!

Ate here twice, and whilst on both occasions we didn't get any smiles from the staff serving us, the icecream here was pretty tasty with the marshmallow flavour being a real highlight.

Tutti Fruitti Artisan Gelato is located in Blake Street in Mornington just off Main Street. Gelato is my guilty pleasure & as a Mornington Peninsula local, I find it hard going to Mornington without popping into Tutti Fruitti. It’s a really cute shop with bright neon ice cream signs & funky wall art. They also make some of the best gelato around.

My go to is the lemon cheesecake which is rich & creamy with a lemony zing. I also love the smoked salted caramel, marshmallow & the very creative musk which tastes just like a musk stick. The blood orange sorbet is also divine.

These guys pride themselves on house made artisan gelato & have a fantastic range of gelato, sorbet, ice creams & shakes. Their focus is also local & seasonal produce which I applaud. I’ve always been impressed with the quality & consistency and as the weather warms up I will be visiting regularly. A must try if you’re in the Mornington area.

I’m a bit of a regular here. I love it & they never seem to fail. The owner is beautiful and so are the girls who work there too. Always friendly. Cherry Bomb is the favourite however, only when cherries are in season hence the seasonal flavours. I honestly haven’t had a bad experience - actually, wait, I have - when they change to winter trading hours and are closed Monday & Tuesday. Seriously love love!

A huge variety of delicious ice creams. They had a number of flavours that you don't often find elsewhere (like Mint Slice and Baileys) and the girls behind the counter were happy to let you taste test!

We love the whole 1950s vibe of TuttiFrutti. Hot pink and lime green – now that’s a colour combination you can’t ignore. Vintage knick-knacks. Neon ice cream sign. And the gorgeous 1950s pin up girl.

The gelato is made in-house, with an emphasis on local and seasonal produce. There are a couple of dozen flavours offered, with a mix of dairy and non-dairy (vegan) options. If you are lucky, you may be able to eat your gelato at one of the tables inside, soaking up that 1950s atmosphere, or outside on the footpath.

Friendly service, generous serves and the gelato flavours and texture are good, but overall the gelato is a bit too sweet for our taste.
Good Food Good Mood
I had the foresight to park near here before lunch so it was perfectly convenient to stop by before driving home for a nice gelato (also I just learned the gelato means frozen in Italian, isn’t that a fun fact). I tried a variety of flavours on offer; coconut, salted caramel, mint slice which was quite nice and also musk which was a bit different before settling on my usual mango. I’m sorry but it’s just the best! This is a really cute shop with a super fun atmosphere. I imagine it’s an absolute hit with the holidaymakers and locals alike in this sunny town

Always delicious. A variety of flavours that change regularly. Friendly staff, inside amd outside seating. Best icecream on the peninsula, easily.

A Smokey salted caramel thick shake on a 30+ degree day is just what the doctor ordered. The ice cream was subtle, yet you could taste the smokiness. Generous sized serving.

Always love coming here on a hot day for there “Tutti Frutti” flavoured sorbet! I do however find there baileys gelato to be a bit on the strong side so I would not recommend this flavour in large amounts!!
Ashlee
Amazing!!!! The ice cream is fresh , smooth & delicious! Great range of flavours which makes it harder to choose which one as I’m sure they would all taste amazing! Worth the 30 min drive here on a nice night.

Came here after looking up on Zomato. Definitely amazing gelato!!! Lovely flavours!!! Will be coming here again for sure!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

Yummy cooler on a sunny warm day! The blood orange has a nice tang to it and the tiramisu a decent hit of coffee and alcohol. Generous scoops too. You know it's good when you see a queue!

Thesr2 gelatos are the hit! All flavours are awesome, especially the banana split. And they are quite generous with the scoops. So bad they are closed on Mondays though :(

I have been going to Tutti Frutti for years! In my opinion they definitely have the best gelato I've tasted. I always enjoy visiting my family and friends in Mornington and dropping in to Tutti Frutti to share a tub of gelato with friends or with my mum.

My favourite flavours include Kinder Surprise, Rocher, Baileys and Bubblegum. I love trying their new flavours as well!
Foodie14
Best gelato and shakes on the peninsula easily :) I am a frequent customer and have been for many years now. I hope this place never changes!!

nice place, nice ice cream~

I enjoyed my waffle cone with mango and cinnamon flavours. Service was friendly. Be aware of the 1.5% surcharge for using cards; you might want to get cash out from any of the nearby ATMs in the Main St

Been here several times , whenever we go to Mornington, we come here for gelato. A little bit too sweet for me , but still a lovely ice cream place to go.

Tutti Frutti is a family-run business, making all their own gelato, using local and seasonal ingredients. I selected two scoops, in a waffle cone, of course. Pistachio and Lime in da Coconut. Bilby Blue went for Cherry Bomb (studded with choc pieces) and Passionfruit. The flavours were good – fresh and fruity – but didn’t quite have the over-the-top “wow” factor of Anita Gelato. We also found that the gelato was very soft – it had started to drip even before we had paid. Yes the day was quite warm, but the gelato should have held its shape a little longer.

Was recommended by my sister as the place for decent ice-cream in Mornington. The salted caramel ice cream is quite good, my partner and I are hooked, will be back.

After an afternoon on the Mornington pier, we decided to get gelato to cap off the day. We had two cup servings with two scoops each. The first had raspberry sorbet and salted caramel with chocolate pretzel (strange combination I know). Salted caramel can often be too sweet or too salty, this was neither, and beautifully creamy. The raspberry sorbet wasn't too icy or bitter and I would definitely go back for it again. The other cup was malteaser and kinder surprise flavoured. Malteaser would have been average if not for the malteaser pieces mixed in, however the kinder flavour was the favourite between both of us. It tasted exactly like a kinder surprise! Upon walking in we were greeted warmly both by the bright colourful decor and the friendly staff. The prices were comparable considering both the quality of the product and the area. A must if you are in the area and feeling like ice cream or gelato!

Tutti Frutti Artisan Gelato has been open in Mornington for over 10 years, however current owners Michelle and Pete Rafelds bought the store four years ago.

Michelle says that the premise of Tutti Frutti was to provide great quality gelato, using traditional Italian methods with the best quality local ingredients.

Both Michelle and Pete make the gelato and while neither of them have a professional background in food; they both love good quality food and cooking.

“We make our gelato based on demand, we don’t make copious amounts for storage as the gelato is so much better fresh,” explains Michelle.

“In saying that, some flavours are better if they do mature for a few days, like Christmas Pudding, Rum & Raisin or Roasted Banana & Orange taste so much better after a few days, as the spices infuse into the gelato, making a more complex taste.

Awesome Gelato!. The gelato here is awesome! I highly recommend the Mango and Tutti Futti flavours.

Good gelato. Gelato here is pretty awesome! Go there quite a lot and love it. Like that it's open late too!
Amy
Beautiful gelato and amazing milk shakes but it's dissapointing that you guys aren't open enough. How on earth are you suppose to run a business if you're rarely ever open? Not happy, most ice creamrys are open everyday. Obviously use need to employ more workers.
Kooka
So cream just like the gelato I tasted in Italy! Will be back!

Good flavours. It is rare to see a gelato or ice cream place which has good flavours. The musk

Appalling service ... while the product is good, it is not worth the wait nor the rudeness of the counter staff. Go to Yummo on Main St instead.

Best Gelato around. I have lived on the Mornington Peninsula for 5 years but only just visited this shop last night. My daughter & I were drawn by the pretty exterior & the fact that the place was buzzing with people (like an ice cream club)
Anyway, I have had gelato from all over including Rome back 10years ago now. There was a line but the wait wasn't too bad. I was impressed by the luxurious looking gelato in the tubs. My daughter got the chocolate, I got the coffee but the sour cherry looked amazing & seemed popular. The service from the young lady last night wasn't the best, very cold, unfriendly but fast. Overall the gelato was thick, silky, rich in flavour & heavenly. The best I have ever tasted in my life. I will definitely be back. Hope service improves, that would make it the ultimate spot on a warm night..

Best Liquorice Gelato. I always judge a good gelato by certain "barometer" flavours like hazelnut and pistachio. If the pistachio is luminous green you know its probably just flavoured by essence. Although I didnt taste the pistachio it looked authentic and pale coloured. I can't go past liquorice if I see it. I tried a tasting spoon and it was seriously good. So that was it for me. Although I dont live in this area I have to recommend this as one of the best ice creams in Melbourne. My wife had the mint chocolate and it was like have a after dinner mint with some of that mint chocolate biscuit swirled into the mix. Delicious!

Seriously, the best gelati around! The kinder is delicious, full of Nutella! Highly recommended!

Yummy pistachio ice cream!!

Best Ice cream!. Tutti Frutti is always a must when I'm in town! Their Cinnamon gelato and their Blood Orange are favorites and their chocolate is the best I have tried, rich and smooth and doesn't leave a heavy feeling. Staff are friendly and service quick.

Dissapointed. I have been taking my daughter here for the last few years and have always been very happy. today was different. I asked the new owner if they had gluten free cones (something they used to supply) I was told 'no'. I then asked if she could have a cup with 2 flavours and was again told 'no'. I was shocked by the one word responses and the attitude of this women (who I am 90% certain is the new owner). I asked why she could not have 2 flavours and was told they 'don't do it because some people ask for 6 flavours'. The shop was empty, and she was refusing the request of a 5 year old with food allergies. I was shocked to say the least. she eventually gave my daughter her 2 flavours, while scowling and sighing. What a surprise! I wish Coffee Traders had not sold the business as it used to be great. Now i need to find a new ice cream store with happier staff (and gluten free cones!).

Yummy to the max! I enjoyed a waffle cone covered in chocolate and sprinkles filled with gorgeous rich chocolate gelato paired with a sweet blood orange gelato. Will be back next time I get a lazy Sunday afternoon to myself.

What is up. Candy, bars.

Yummy. Homemade gelato always tops anything. I only could fit crunchy nutty? i've forgotten the name but the taste was creamy vanilla with brittles of caramel and bits of peanut. Definitely go back for 2nd round someday

Best on the peninsula!

$4.80 for two generous scoops on a waffle cone. I had the red bull & green apple flavours. Awesome combination. The green apple is so refreshing and being a person who likes red bull, this was a hit for me.
Craig Cole
So smooth so creamy could only wish there was more room to sit and Relax while eating a lovly ice cream it does not get better

The red bull sorbet is incredible, as well as the blood orange sorbet. It's really worth trying plus the employees are really friendly!
