Review Sugo 67 - Mornington

The food was so good, was so much better than I thought it would be. Their pizzas were very simple but so delicious (highly recommend the mexicana if you want something a bit spicy).. the staff there were the best.. Will definitely go back again!

Easily the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. I loved that it was tangy rather than rich. Delicious! Loved the warm environment with a fireplace, and friendly staff too.

Good rustic food and homey athmosphere in this "tucked in "place in heart of Mornington. Pop in for a hearty food if you are in Mornington.

Delicious pizza! We had their signature Sugo 67 pizza and loved it. Best pizza dough we’ve had in ages- good crust and not at all heavy/doughy. Coffees were also great and staff were very friendly and attentive, we’ll be back soon!

Beautiful meals and friendly service. Dog friendly (outside). Pasta and pizza authentic Italian style. Good range of tasty sweets for desserts and reasonably priced for a family outing. Highly recommended.

Salami pizza had tasteless salami but overuse of raw garlic in oil all over it. Not pleasant. Fries were good though and also the Minestrone soup.

Came here for the first time with a girlfriend of mine and we absolutely loved our experience. Our waitress was very friendly! We ordered the bruschetta (I wasn’t very hungry as it was hot) and the spaghetti bolognese. We left full and satisfied! Well priced and didn’t wait long for our food either. I will definitely be back!

Staff are nice however the service is very slow. Took 20 min to have someone take our order. Coffee was quite average. Although the pizza was quite nicd with a large variety to choose from.

All I can say is, the people you hire to represent your business should be selected with great care. These chosen people are the ones that can sell your Cafe, or leave a Sour taste in your mouth.
I can tell you now Sugo 67, you made some poor decisions when hiring your front of house.

Specifically, tall Aussie gentleman and Barista girl with Braces. Both unbelievably rude. A shame, as the owner/chef had a Sass that I loved.

The food was, ok. We had a lot of hiccups with our visit. All of which could’ve been forgiven if we were treated better.

Do yourself a favour, hire new staff. Ones that give a damn.

Wanted a nice meal on a Saturday night as i was dining alone. Sugo looked like a nice enough place and it was.

I had eaten pizza for lunch - but the pizza menu was very large and i normally would have gone that route. But this time I opted for spaghetti bolognese which was a great choice. The meal came out hot which is how it should be. I would have liked the option to have grated parmesan on top but they dont seem to offer it...not sure why. But i hope they start to because that would make a great meal even better.

They also need to update their hours on google. When I did a search of the menu online it said it was closed. But i was walking past and saw it was open. This could impact on their business which would be a shame because people will go elsewhere thinking its closed.

Overall, there is a good vibe here. I would come back again. Everyone seemed happy with their meals.
Queen Of Food
Came here for dinner recently with friends and decided on the mushroom pizza. I liked the variety of mushrooms used and the truffle oil however felt the cheese was little bland. Others on the table stated their meals were just ok or lacked flavour.
Good Food Good Mood
I went down to Mornington to visit a friend over the long weekend and we jumped on the first cafe we walked by with some available outdoor seating (dog was in tow). No such thing as all day breakfast which was upsetting as we arrived bang on 12 and had to resort to pizza not that you really had to twist anyone’s arm. I had a Margherita and a Bondi chai (random combination I know). That was my first time trying this blend so I’m not sure if it’s just overly sweet or if they added a syrup to it but it was definitely on the sweet side. I very much enjoyed it though until I got to the bottom as it clearly wasn’t well mixed and then became sickly.
The pizza itself I didn’t mind although I wouldn’t necessarily go back for round 2. Majority of their lunch menu consists of pizzas which is interesting given DOC is located nearby and is obviously very renowned. Price wise not too bad but they did advertise a 15% public holiday surcharge. There wasn’t a lot of service for said surcharge with no one bringing us cutlery, napkins or water (I had to go inside and ask). Overall a lively atmosphere and satisfying choice
