Review Bronx Napoli Pizzeria 1999 - Mornington

Lovely atmosphere and yummy food. I always like a place that listens to you when you ask something. I asked them to take the chili off my pizza and they did. I highly recommend the Nutella cocktail, amalphi pizza (not sure of the spelling for that one) and the dessert pizza. Friendly staff and there is always someone waiting at the door to greet you and say goodbye which is nice.

Great pizzeria, quite busy and the noise environment is part of the nice mod of this pace, we went there for a pizza, great service, fast and responsive. We took as antipasti the garlic focaccia, and yes there where a lot of garlic in it,Loved it. While the pizza salsiccia e friarielli was fantastic, a favourite of mine. And they have as well a local beer for you.

Atmosphere was perfect, service was okay but we some how got missed and it took 40 minutes. I understand it was busy but really? The food was above average at best. I love arancini balls but this could improve quite a bit. But overall I think it's perfect for families 😊

After a day of sight seeing on Sunday we (2 adults and our 2 kids) popped in here for dinner before we headed back home to Melbourne. Staff were friendly normal & easy going ! Venue was relaxed! And the pasta & pizza were delicious!! Keep it up and we will be back next time we are in Mornington.

The pizza here is amaizing. Light with fresh ingredients, bursting with flavour, and quite filling. We couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. It's as if we discovered pizza for the first time. The service too was lovely. Very casual and friendly creating a warm atmosphere. We plan to go again soon. :)

Best pizza and pasta on the peninsula! Gnocchi just melts in your mouth. Pizza is so yum, great bases too. Nice atmosphere is the restaurant. Staff are very nice, love the authentic Italian feel!

Beautiful Italian fare and great atmosphere. Enjoyable and reasonably priced. Friendly service. Well recommended.

Amazing Food, and Fantastic Venue, but the service lets Bronx down. We live locally and have been to Bronx a few times. Always amazing pizza and other foods, and very well priced well too. However we haven't once had good service. Always waiting around to order, or to get refill's of water and other drinks, and then again waiting after the meal for more service.

BEST pasta I have had in my life!!!! I have been craving the Gnocchi Burro & Salvia ever since I tried it. It is amazing. 100% recommend trying it if you love super soft, freshly made gnocchi. đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ

Well personally… I was in year 10, and listening to and doing “Livin la vida Loca” to Ricky Martin. I watched 10 Things I Hate About You, and it became EVERYTHING. Heath Ledger God rest his soul, and that song routine on the school bleachers? Heaven. Only one of my most FAVOURITEST SHOWS OF ALL TIME debuted… Angel. Ahhh. 🙂

Whilst the flavour of the food wasn't bad, this was let down somewhat by the fact that a couple of the dishes (namely the arancini and the calamari) were cold when they came out, with a vibe of a precoked dish that wasn't quite reheated right.

We turned up without a booking on a Friday evening and found the staff accomodating in getting us a table. It was a reasonably busy evening but service was prompt. Food was fantastic. Best Gnocchi I’ve had in a while. Authentic and flavoursome. Kids pizza was perfect. No frills pizza. Love this place and would recommend highly.

Look at those colours of the Italian Flag. Thanks Bronx Napoli for some amazing Italian food. The Gambero Pizza was amazing đŸ˜đŸ‘ŒđŸ»and the appetiser was so scrumptious.

Drove an hour to Mornington for some lunch on a nice day. Hard to get parking around here. The Bronx Napoli 1999 was a pleasant enough experience. We were served within a short time and the waiter was helpful and friendly. We ordered the Farmer Joe pizza with olives added. The base was authentic and the ingredients fresh although the rocket could have been fresher. Ingredients were not abundant. Sparkling water was $9 which was a bit rich although it was from Italy. Coffee was ok. If I was in the area I would go again but wouldn't make a special trip. $40 for pizza, coffee and water.
Access to a toilet was down a narrow corridor between two restaurants and was very messy and cluttered.

Food is yummy and fresh. Love the interiors too, with leather upholstered bench seats at some tables. They have a very unusual cola which you can taste the spices in, bit of a surprise when you’re expecting basic cola, but this is a tasty, more mature version. Would love a bit more variety in the dessert menu- I’m a sweet tooth.

Not a great experience. Ordered a GF pizza and was given a burnt pizza. My partner had to eat on his own and then to top it off they charged us $9 for a bottle of water! Bit of a joke- wouldn’t recommend

This place is tucked just behind Mi Mexico on the main street of Mornington. The food is very traditional Italian and the service was quick but the place wasn’t very busy on the Sunday night we came in. The wait staff weren’t the most pleasant but was attentive when needed. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and liked that there was an option to takeaway leftovers.

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been too! Staff were exceptional, food was amazing. The gnocchi melted in your mouth. Atmosphere great! Would love to come back soon!!

This is the 3rd time I have eaten here. My first 2 experiences were much better than yesterday. I noticed the pizza maker from my last visit has left though. Yesterday's pizza (capricciosa) looked like the Chef had just thrown the ingredients on blindfolded. One slice had the mushroom on it without being separated, the other slice looked like a magherita as it had nothing on it. Very inconsistent. I will not be returning.

Excellent service and great atmosphere. Had the macho man, pizza looked and tasted really nice. The rating of 4 is more due to the atmosphere and service.

Tonight I finally tried Bronx Napoli 1999! I ordered the Rigatoni Norma which is a pasta dish with tomato and eggplant. Servings were generous and it was interesting trying the grated ricotta salata cheese. I had never tried this before and it was quite unique and different from other ricottas I’ve tried. The pasta also wasn’t too soft. The dish reminded me of pasta that I ate in Italy, it was a simple recipe and not complicated. I was pleased that the prices are not too bad when compared to other Italian restaurants.

We also tried the Sweet Pizza. It was huge, and can be probably shared between up to 3 people. Dough was very nice and the pizza was warm unlike other dessert pizzas I’ve tried. It was nice that they used berries which gave it a different twist - most dessert pizzas use mainly chocolate and not berries so it was nice and refreshing. The white chocolate worked well with this dish.

I can understand why this place is a popular restaurant in Mornington. It was nice.

Ordered the Milano pizza, gnocchi and spaghetti meatballs. Pizza crust was light and crunchy, tasted especially good when paired with the gnocchi’s sauce! Staff were friendly and atmosphere was chill. Would go back again!

Pretty disappointing.. the calamari was quite nice however everything else wasn’t great. The gluten free pizza came out with no joke 5 pieces of melted cheese, no tomato paste and some tomatoes. For an extra $5.50 for a gluten free it was a complete rip off, $3 i understand but not $5.50 for a crunchy, over cooked , stale tasting pizza base. The pizza ended up costing $27.50... completely over priced. The people who had the non gluten free pizzas were disappointed as well. The outside of the pizza was puffy but the middle was so thin and soggy. The man at the register was extremely rude and had no customer service skills the only conversation was “ tap” meaning the card and that was it , no good bye or how was everything. Overall the whole experience was ok. I wouldn’t come back, go to DOC down the road they have much better food and service there.

Always amazing food! Best pizza on the Peninsula. Love the Palermo. Staff always friendly and lovely and very attentive. Always coming back.

I Came here last night for dinner and absolutely loved it. Probably the best garlic pizza I have had to date! Highly recommend ordering!
The only negative was it was a bit of a wait for a table and I felt like the staff weren't really in a rush to seat the people who were patiently waiting. Other than that, food is great, I will be back.
