Review Restaurant Soy - Mornington

Had lunch there and the food was pretty good. A solid 3 out of 5. Great for a midweek lunch. We ordered a bunch of dumplings and half came out fairly quickly. Two different servers seemed to think that that was all that we had ordered and we had to tell both of them to go back and check our order. If it was really busy, you would understand, but there were 5 tables at the time. It made me wonder what they would be like if they were really busy.

It was nice. They cared about people with dietary requirements and presented lots of great options for everyone. Delicious food, great atmosphere, would definitely have dinner here again. Highly recommend their spicy Singapore noodles.

Came here for dinner on a week night the restaurant was no where near full & plenty of staff for the amount of people in the restaurant. We had to ask for Menus & to order drinks. We ordered the Buffet which consisted of approx 5+ dishes from memory. We waited over an hour & a half and had only received 2 of those dishes (sweet corn soup & dumplings) We complained about the lengthy wait & were told the kitchen were quote “lazy”, we decided to leave without receiving the remainder of our meals. Cups on the table were also extremely sticky to touch & had visible dirt. Would NOT recommend to anyone. Very disappointed.

Love soy go there at least once a week. Staff are lovely they have seen my son grow up and he loves it. I've eaten at many yum Cha around Melbourne and it's just as good as orentil house or mah Jong.

Dined in for a birthday celebration. Customer service was good. Food was great but served in dirty bowls, dirty spoons, dirty glasses all on a dirty table. Basically we decided the hygiene standard wasn't up to par and we won't be returning.

Typical Canotnese way of cooking as never over seasoned or sauced so you can taste the real foods! It's about just right but not over done... The only reason I can't give five stars is because they didn't have live fish like all top class Cantonese restaurants do. We should feel so luck to find such authentic Cantonese Chinese cuisine in Mornington where not many Chinese are around!

We visited Soy Mornington today for yum cha. Accepting that one has to tick boxes to indicate an order. Being accustomed to authentic yum cha Soy leaves alot to be desired We looked at the old fashioned pictures of the selection accompanied with the pricing and quality instantly agreeing that Soy have priced themselves out of the market. We left This may be one of reasons that Soy is up for sale. A savey operator could have this restaurant excelling. Great location Outside Sun filled decking With locals and Mornington visitors flocking. Disappointing Soy

Food was terrible across everything we ordered. I'm not over exaggerating either. We ordered multiple things to share and not one thing tasted good. The place looks nice enough and the staff was kind at least!
