Review Bottom Of The Harbour - Mornington

Crisp and well seasoned batter on the fish and seafood. No stodgy batter anywhere. Loved the battered scallops and oysters especially. They were generously sized and beautifully cooked. Photo shows thick cut chips but the large pieces of seafood almost make them look like shoestring fries. We will return for more.

Being a long time customer was very disappointed in the 15% price increase. I relize food costs have gone up but if your going to charge customers more at lest have the descanty to update your board. Was charged and extra $8 over the displayed price and instead of $55 now $63. Sorry for invovence but you just lost a valued customer. Can't justify spending that much on fish and chips just to feed 5 people. Also it's not Christmas time now so I think an update in your display is well over due. You should be able to afford that now since your charging so much. Very disappointing 😡😡😡😡😡

Without a doubt the BEST fish n chip shop on the Mornington Peninsula… in fact the best I’ve ever had. Fish is fresh and real, the chips are chunky, crisp but not oily and potato cakes are substantial, crunchy with thick potatoes and right amount of batter. I loved the fresh oysters and my husband had the scallops. Delicious. The biggest surprise was how reasonably priced it was and the service is OUTSTANDING. Really lovely people.

Some of the freshest seafood around the peninsula and theyll cook it there for you on the spot. The fish of the day special is a fantastic staple each week, never disappointed. If youre in the area then definitely recommended stopping in for a bite

Quality has definitely gone down hill from when we first started getting our fish and chips here. The yellow chips, perhaps from the oil, were off putting. Won't be back.

The fish, chips and salad was perfect. The burger was a meal by itself. The service impeccable. It was too tasty to stop and photograph it. This what it should be about, not pretentious just good fresh food at a reasonable price.

By far the best fish and chips in Mornington! It is my weekly Friday takeout place. Potato cakes are delicious and the seafood is always fresh.

I had a snapper, chips and 4 calamari rings. Calamari rings were tasteless. Snapper was fresh, moist and delicious, but the chips were the worst in my 69 years. All small, dark, overcooked and hard as a rock. The seagulls had it at the pier. Shame I can't attach the photo of the horrible chips.
