The hot cakes are heavenly and the coffee is always on point. I like the openness of the cafe and simplistic decor. Honestly I have nothing bad to say about this place
I just read the review from some guys on one table next to us and our experience was the complete opposite - in fact they were rude and gave the staff a hard time - sorry there are people out there like that :(- the cafe is very clean, the menu is innovative the food is fresh and tasted great, coffee was good, loved the cherry soda and staff super friendly. Would highly recommend.
If I lived closer I'd go to this cafe every day. If you're just going for a coffee you won't be dissapointed and if you're keen for something more substantial you're in for a treat. The menu is killer. The vibes are all you could want in a cafe. Relaxing and friendly. Definitely one of perths top tier cafes.
Best place with the best people. Hands down my Favorite cafe in all of australia.
We have been here for dinner 3 times in 4 weeks. I think we may be addicted...love the food, night time atmosphere and the staff. I feel like I shouldn't be telling people about this as they book out too fast already!
Creative and delicious food options, coffee is always great! Super friendly staff with good vibes all round! Love coming here :)
My new fav spot... if going for breakfast u must try the hotcakes.. so fluffy and orange yoghurt is like spoonfuls of clouds..so light
Regularly overdosing on Good Things Coffee because it's so dam good!! Best Coffee and staff in Mosi!
☕️👏👍💙
Great menu and awesome staff! Food is always cooked to perfection.
Love it! Thoroughly enjoyed, great service and great vibe

Good Things is a cafe set in a parade of shops on leafy Wellington Street in Mosman Park. We arrived for breakfast on a Sunday morning and felt that the cafe had a really good vibe with seating inside and out. It’s big, clean and airy, and pet friendly – they happily provide a bowl of water for dogs.
for 5 years now, i have been a big consumer of green smoothies. i have tried one from basically every cafe in perth. nothing has ever been as good as good things green smoothies. it is basically a religious experience. this place is vibes as heck, too. the banana bread? fab. pancakes? fluffy. muesli? chefs kiss. the unfortunate thing is, i have spent my lifes earnings here. it is so expensive i am probably going to end up homeless if i keep eating here. the green smoothie makes it worth it though, and for that i am grateful. peace and love #goodthingscafe
Came here on NYE for breakfast. Ordered the southern fried waffle chicken and had a coffee.
The vibe of the place is relaxed, low key and hip, perfect for an Instagram post. Many comfortable tables to sit at and there is some greenery. Indoor and outdoor seating avail. Different hands contorted into various positions are stenciled onto the walls. There are some magazines to read and a few floating newspapers.
The music makes you feel like you've just woken up after a night with too much Molly and need only chilled tunes tickling your ear canals.
It was fairly busy and I noticed only a few awkward tinder dates. They had t-shirts to try on at the front counter that had "It's all good" printed on them. I'd had a big night before so this was quietly stroking my post drinks anxiety "the beer fear". I went to try one on and a staff member politely suggested I try it on in the bathroom. Fair enough.
Coffee here is good. Strong and dark, just how I like it. My southern fried chicken was delivered promptly and it looked mighty fine. The micro greens were hella cute and that chicken looked super crispy. The waffle looked rather thick and stogey but I had hope. Overall beautiful presentation.
The waffle element just didn't do it for me. It was more like a fried and heavy piece of cake and was overbearingly sweet. I could taste and feel sugar granules probably due to oversaturation... Couldn't finish it. The chicken saved the day. It was crispy and golden and had definitely just come back from a holiday at the Bahamas. Seasoning made it perfectly salty. The chicken was tender and fresh. The bacon was slightly chewy in a marvelous way and cooked well. There was a chilli maple syrup which could've been spicier but hey I like it hot. The elements of the meal worked well.
Otherwise very enjoyable experience. Would return.
Beautiful minimal looking interior. Staff are pretty friendly and relaxed. Menu is large. Lots of different things to choose from. Went with the Beef Brisket on Crispy Potato with Chipotle Hollandaise - so effing divine. Beautiful flavours, so filling. Made a good choice. My partner had the Good Eggs - no complaints. Very good!!!
Range: 4.0-4.5 (pretty excellent).
Was expecting very pretentious/posh/golden triangle mums brunch type affair. But the vibe was minimalist and restrained, relaxed and very inviting. Similar preconceptions about the menu which was daunting at first – but every dish we ordered was balanced and delicious and constructed with care and thoughtfulness about flavour combinations. Pancakes were a standout.
Really nice well lit place with great music, ambience and interior decor. Ordered the berry smoothie, which was a little pricey for $10 but tasted sooo good on a hot day. Friend got a spearmint milkshake which she enjoyed. Staff were friendly. Look forward to coming back in the future to try their dishes!
Decent breakfast cafe. Ordered the fritters that were great and a mango smoothie that just tasted like a glass of milk. Good location and atmosphere.
I love this spot! I’ve moved in near by so often stop in for a coffee. And on that note, their coffee’s are amaaazing and nice and hot 😍 the green smoothie is a must have, I’m not usually a fan of green smoothies but the one at Good Things is really yummy 😋 The cafe has such a relaxed vibe with plenty of seating, cool and friendly staff and pretty fairly price given the quality of the food. No complaints here 😊
I have been to this place a couple of times and its never failed me. The food is always consistently good. I love their Mocha and 70% dark hot chocolate.
The wait time can be long depending on the crowd but it doesnt really bother me if the food is good.
Ambience is lovely, situated in the middle of the neighbourhood.
Dog friendly for sure!
Came here on a Sunday morning and immediately worried we wouldn’t get a space but after just 5 minutes of waiting we got a table inside. I wanted three items on the menu as well as the special but eventually decided on the special (I’ll be back for the other dishes!) and I was not disappointed. Pulled pork with potato rosti, salsa and hollandaise sauce..you can’t go wrong! The only complaint I had was the rosti could have been cooked slightly more for my palette but this is a simple fix. Really cute, laid back decor and staff!
We came at 8:30am on a Sunday morning which is unusually very early for us. I was surprised to how busy it was, especially for a neighbourhood cafe. It just got more busy as time went on. I couldn’t decide what to get as there were a few choices that sounded delicious. I couldn’t go past the fried chicken and waffle with a side of scrambled eggs and polenta chips to share. The fried chicken was crispy and oh so yummy. It was unfortunate that there was too much butterscotch sauce over the waffle which made it super sweet and overpowering. Next time I will ask for the sauce on the side. The polenta chips were also delicious.. one of the better ones I have had. The service however was a let down. The food was super slow.. our dishes all came out at separate times with a long gap between where we had to start eating before everyone’s food arrived as it was getting cold. We even had to chase up the waiters to work out whether it was still coming. What a shame since the food was good.
My lunch was Delish! I got the half serve of the roasted pumpkin with fried egg. I mean it had kale chips, bacon and more and every bite was perfect!! Coffee was good as well. I'll def be back!
have been dying to come here and not officially on my favorites list! such a gem. food is fantastic. such nice vibes, great service and overall lovely little cafe. definitely a must visit.
great food great coffee, corn fritters or the banana bread are my go tos with wonderful toppings on both! Staff are great, seem keen to make ur experience at good things great. thank guys...... yummo
This cafe can be quite packed on weekends and we're glad we managed to get a seat when we arrived.
Love the extensive menu here! But we came to try the hotcakes this time. We ordered the polenta truffle chips and the Mork hot chocolate too.
Food presentation is amazing! The flavor of the hotcakes were well blended with the caramel popcorns and orange yogurt. we added the maple bacon to it too. however, 1 of the hotcakes was slightly burnt.
The polenta chips was so so and could be passed. Overall, good quality food at reasonable prices. Will return to try out other dishes!
I don't understand why it's taken me so long to get some good things in to my belly!
Such a delicious brunch! I highly recommend the sukkah pumpkin with roti, bacon and pesto! What an amazing flavour bomb!
Thank guy! I will definitely be coming back!
Always top quality food! They have a great menu with lots of interesting options. My favourite is their roasted pumpkin roti. Their coffee is great too.
Great coffee service and food.
The rolls and cakes are always super fresh and tasty with a little twist. Coffee is served by friendly and skilled baristas with a choice of different bean varieties. it gets packed most mornings, make sure to get in early!
Good coffee, delicious eggs benedict and very accommodating service. Attended to a group of 13 easily, when it was obviously busy. Not too pricy.
this place is very popular. the food is very good and the servings generous. I had the fried chicken and Belgian waffle with bacon which was delicious. It is already about 3000 calories so I'm thinking a dollop of creme fresh on the waffle wouldn't look out of place. dog friendly out the front and definitely worth a visit...
Came on a Friday morning, and was surprised by how busy the place was! Staff were really friendly and polite and apologised for the wait to order. Flat white was nice and strong but smooth. I had the roast pumplin with dukkah and eggs on a roti and it was delicious! Would definitely order again next time, but i did see someone who ordered the pancake and wow that looked fantastic! Lots of doggy customers outside, so I'm looking forward to coming back with my pup soon!
Love this place, food and coffee consistently amazing. Staff are friendly, music is good and vibe is always welcoming, comfortable and chilled.
This place was amazing! We came here quite early on a chilly Wednesday morning. We took menus and sat at a quiet table. I ordered the hotcakes, orange yoghurt, caramel sauce, chocolate soil and caramel popcorn. The caramel sauce was decadent and the orange yoghurt was delicious. The hotcakes were sensational and ever so dense. All the elements together were just perfect!
Cute cafe. Great coffee. Can order side dishes without having to buy toast. Smoked salmon was more of a cold cooked salmon but was a nice change. No complaints. Pet friendly. Service was lovely.
Went for lunch on Sunday. Overall very nice, but a bit of a long wait for food and unclear whether table service or "seat yourself" on arrival. Coffees were nice, I had a skinny cappuccino and W had an iced coffee. Mine was standard, smooth taste and not bitter. W really liked his iced coffee served in this low-key style without cream or icecream - just cold coffee and milk with ice and sugar syrup to sweeten. For food, I had "The Hulk" - massive serve of avocado, pea and mint mash, served on toast with whipped feta and pickled onion garnish. I added a poached egg too. This was a filling but light meal - really enjoyable. W had the Southern Fried Chicken with bacon, waffles and maple syrup. The taste I had was very nice - the texture of the waffle was quite dense and the maple syrup and bacon balanced each other nicely. The fried chicken was decadent AF. All in all, a very nice lunch in a chilled out, airy cafe with friendly staff. Would go again for sure.
Great neighbourhood gem! Huevos rancheros was so full of flavour and the meat was perfectly pulled and tender. Lentils were buttery and comforting. Will be back for the fried chicken and salmon next time!
First impressions:
- spacious, pristine cafe in super quiet suburban area
- coffee: excellent
- staff: knowledgeable, personable, engaging, on the ball
I had no idea this shopping strip was in Mosman Park, let alone this hidden gem!
Close to the best brunch place in Perth. Lovely atmosphere and good service. The Dukkah roasted pumpkin is a must try. Coffee is always great as well.
After hearing so many good reviews about this cafe from friends, I finally got to try it on one of the weekday morning. The cafe itself was very bright and spacious.
We ordered the southern fried chicken and the huevos rancheros. Both the dishes were delicious, really enjoyed it. Good serving size and great coffee too.
I'm very impressed by the food here and definitely will come back to try out other dishes on the menu.
Came here for an early Sunday brekkie. They have some impressive items on the menu including fried chicken which I’ll have to try another time when I have a bigger appetite and not off to a big lunch afterwards. So today I ordered the poached eggs on spiced ciabatta and a sides of maple bacon and a long Mac topped up. The coffee was wonderful and strong and came out quickly. The food took a little while and was nicely presented when it arrived. A very generous serve of maple bacon that was so tasty. The two poached eggs were perfectly cooked. Not sure about the spiced ciabatta, I didn’t think it was any different to other ciabatta I have had. Overall tasty and good coffee in a casual relaxed setting.
I'll be coming back because there are so many delicious things on the menu I want to try.
It's location is suburban and not an alluring view, but hey we're here to eat aren't we. And this is where The Good Things are onto a good thing.
Our table had the dukkah roast pumpkin and the Hulk.
The pumpkin dish was served on a roti with a pesto, bacon, two fried eggs and lots of rocket. They made a vegetarian version for my friend with avocado instead of bacon. It was not as greasy as bacon and eggs can be was was surprisingly light, yet satisfying.
My friend who orders the hulk, a smashed avo with mint and whipped feta on two pieces of ciabatta, described it as fresh and zesty. No two truer words were spoken.
We were left wanting more, not because there wasn't enough on the plate, but because it was so tasty.
The service was okay and thankfully it wasn't a busy morning so we got a table easy.
I noticed lots of families with kids so I'll be coming back with my brood... or keep this good thing to myself.
Really tasty breakfast! Food took a while to come out but it was definitely worth the wait. Hubby had the southern fried chicken and i had the truffle mushrooms. Delish
About a year ago, I popped up into GoodThings because of one insta-famous picture – Southern Fried Chicken. At that time, fried chicken was seldom used as a component on a brekkie menu, at least not as common as nowadays. Unfortunately, I was told that this dish was somehow on a “probation” and this “probation” had ended already. Therefore, I ordered Dukkah roast pumpkin which was absolutely impressive and surprising. This flavoursome dish simply called me a “come back!” and they are still on the menu. LOVELY! Until now, GoodThings is still being one of my favourite cafe in town, not only because of these delicious foods and fairly good services but the simple, cozy, warm and relaxing atmosphere they offer.
Coffee was great - came out pretty quick.
Waffles were amazing , bacon was great quality.
Heuvos- 10/10
Pokemon - not many , no pokestop near by.
If Good Things is anything to judge by, the long hibernation of winter is not as depressing in Perth anymore. Like all aspects of this city, winter is becoming more popular and with weather like this it is hard to see why it wouldn’t be.
My order of Huevos Rancheros with smoked and pulled beef brisket on Mexican fry bread is a well thought through combination. There is a generous serving of fried eggs, the yolks of which are needed to partially soften the fried bread, along with a good helping of tomato salsa, grilled corn, and jalepeno sour cream. It is a filling breakfast, but there is a freshness to it, and I’m sold.
This is a very clean light filled cafe. The modern decor and friendly staff make for a pleasant outing. I enjoyed my coffee and almond croissant though it would have been nicer warm on such a cold morning. The menu was enticing and what my companions had to eat looked yummy. We didn't have to wait long for our meals.
This time, the credit goes to Mr. T who trawled Urbanspoon for a new breakfast spot. He spotted a foodie pic he liked and the decision was made!. Good Things is a bright and airy cafe disguised amongst residential buildings in Mosman Park. On arrival, the cafe looked busy with indoor and outdoor seating. We grabbed menus and a table.
hands down my favourite place ive been to breakky so far. I got the dukkah and roast pumpkin meal, all my favourite things in one dish and it worked amazingly! i tried the sweet waffles too which were delish, only just that little bit too small.. definately will be back soon!!
Really liked this cafe, coffee was really good, love the layout and decor. Plenty of space so we easily got a table inside. I had the crispy potatoes which were really good and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The haloumi tasted great, I just felt it lacked a little freshness. I would recommend the dish though. My friends had the mushrooms and the chicken waffles and loved theirs also. I can't wait to come back and try the other dishes on the menu. The portion size was also good and it was good value for money.

It’s all good at Good Things. This Mosman Park cafe has proven to be a popular addition to a row of suburban shops. Locals walk down with their pooches to take a seat in the alfresco area, parents in their active wear have brekky with the kids and groups of friends gossip over coffee and their smart phones.
I love this place. The food is always great, whether you order from the menu, grab something from the counter cabinet or try the specials. The coffee is excellent and is made with care. The staff are friendly whether you go midweek or during the usual weekend business of the place.
10/10! Great Service !Delicious coffee ! Delicious food ! We shared the Avo smash which was very tasty and well presented and then we had the banana hot cakes which were yummy! Will Def travel the distance to return to this awesome cafe !
Went for brunch and Shared with partner the chicken waffle and pumpkin egg roti - Interesting combos good to try once. Latte is not bad. Nice decor, great staff
A wonderful stop at Good Things Cafe on Saturday morning offset some of the chill we were experiencing on the bikes from the early winter weather. It's still Autumn in Perth, however it definitely felt like a winter's morning. We warmed up over a strong long black and pot of chamomile tea (because honestly it's been way too much coffee for me lately). We also shared a remarkable lamington and delicious tasting bircher museli. The gluten free lamington was absolutely delicious, with a strong flavoured chocolate coating and soft cake consistency. The Bircher muesli was made creamy by yogurt and topped with some colourful berries and nuts. Considering how busy the cafe was, we were really happy to be drinking and eating within a short amount of time after ordering. Although our visit was short and sweet, mainly to refuel in between cycling, we have to say we'll be back.
Good Things Cafe is full of Bright Young Things. The age demographic was so low today I wondered if Mosman Park was full of veterans who were all off at Anzac Day rather than hanging out at such a cool cafe. Not the normal demographic for Western Suburbs Cafes that's for sure. Coffee was excellent and I am in love with the large MDF communal table in the centre of the cafe.

Always happy to come here. This is the place to go after a big night out, I believe bacon can heal a broken liver. Good Things provide you with two types of bacon! Try to get in early on the weekends it gets busy fast.
Good Things has now become one of my favourite cafes in Perth. Although I find it pricey, they are very generous. These guys do a twist on many conventional menu items and the coffee is strong enough for my liking. My favourite is the roti with pumpkin and poached aggs - it is just freaking delicious! I've also had the potatos with poached eggs, haloumi and salsa verde which is also so yummy and I love that potatos are used instead of bread. My only criticism is the one time I tried the bacon I just wish it was cooked a bit crispier, it was a bit under for my taste, but the maple on it was delicious! The staff are friendly and attentive too, so will definitely be returning :)
Went on a Sunday morning, because I had my dog with me I had to wait quite a while before an outside table became available. I chose the balsamic mushrooms with polenta cake while my partner had the roast pumpkin & fried eggs on roti. I enjoyed my dish, the polenta cake made for a nice change to the usual bread offered, but it didn't wow me. I tried some of my partner's dish, the roti was nice and crisp, roast pumpkin was good but the dish was a bit sweet for me with the maple bacon and glaze on the pumpkin.

Anyone who visits the café can’t ignore the cute mural created by local Perth artist Jae Criddle that spells out ‘It’s all good’, which pretty much sums up the atmosphere and goals of the café, that being a sense of easiness. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and the varied choices made it hard to choose a dish. One thing I realised about Good Things was that they offered typical breakfast dishes. They had pancakes, waffles, smashed avocado, muesli, eggs and so on, but, Good Things had put their own unique spin on brunch classics making them complex in technique and flavour.
This place has been added to my Fave Brunch Spots in Perth list, loved it. Instead of going through what was good about it I'll just say I couldn't fault it. Awesome place. Super doggy friendly (we were 5 people and 4 dogs! - very well behaved I might add!) And all the other outdoor tables had doggies at them too. Selection of sweet and savoury in the display cabinet inside. Help yourself to water. Order at till. Green smoothie was divine, didn't taste "green" at all. Everyone loved their dishes. Baby changing unit in the fresh as toilet. Drinks came out super quick. I will most definitely be back. Didn't rate it 5 stars as it's quite pricey for the portion size :)
Located in Mosman Park among local convenient stores in an area rarely ventured by some, is a spacious and funky cafe called Good Things where 'It's all good'. After having ordered yourself a cup of coffee (Micrology Coffee Roasters of course), you can opt for a seat on one of the side tables or choose to acquaint yourself with a stranger at the communal table that runs in the middle of the cafe.
Love the fit out! Staff were beyond lovely! My mate got the chicken waffles with butterscotch chilli sauce, so delish! Fried chicken was as good as the chicken I've had in Harlem NYC! I ordered the banana hotcakes which were were deliciously fluffy, I really would have loved some maple syrup and some more strawberries would have really set it off, still a lovely meal though. Will definitely be back for those chicken waffles!!
This cute little cafe has been on my ‘list of brunch places to visit’ for awhile and so when it was time for me to organise a catch up with one of my girlfriends, it was an easy choice to make. They open early on the weekends and make wonderful coffee with almond milk options (yes!). I’ve seen photos from Good Things on my instagram with people posting delicious photos of the chicken and waffle and so I knew what I was going to order before I even arrived. And boy oh boy did I make the right choice. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the waffle was fluffy and the butterscotch sauce had a nice balance of chilli to it that it was not too sickly sweet. Of course I also added maple bacon to the dish and I regret nothing! It was a good portion size and not overly huge that you would feel disgusting from demolishing it all – filling but ‘not ohmygod I’m going to be sick filling’ haha. I have tried a few brunch places that make chicken and waffles and have been super disappointed but this is definitely not one of them. If anything, it’s my favourite place to have this particular dish. Definitely want to come back and try other dishes.
Good food, Good service, Good value, and Great atmosphere, the coffee lets you feel really good about being here to ...become "Good Things". Worth a visit this place. Remember to try level 10 spicy sauce, Wow♨
Came here last week with my boyfriend to enjoy our first breakfast out during our holidays. Can't believe we didn't do it more often!
Anyway I was excited to see that they offer almond milk coffees so that was definitely a plus! Then I saw that they have MAPLE BACON!! Oh wow, yes please.
I ordered gluten free toast with poached eggs, maple bacon, spinach and tomatoes, however I didn't eat the tomatoes because they were cherry and not a low FODMAP food.
Another plus was the gluten free toast being wholemeal....this never happens!! Everything was delicious, especially the maple bacon.
My coffee was also perfect.
Only thing I didn't like was the location, not much of a view but you can't win them all!
Service was prompt and the food was delicious! And whilst it doesn't really effect the quality of the food the decor was on point. I've not had a better smashed avo! The balance of lemon, salt and herbs was perfect and the nuts just took it to a whole other level. My friend had a bagel and whilst I didn't taste it she said it was perfect! I will be back!
We came back to Good Things recently and it wasn't outstanding like last time. The food was still good (tried the huevos rancheros, burger and smashed avo) but didn't blow us away like last time. Maybe we ordered the wrong things and should've stuck to what was good last time.
=============
It's rare that all three of us breakfast clubbers mutually love a venue equally as much but we all had a good time at Good Things! I had the fried chicken and waffles with chilli butterscotch sauce. I did not take up the option to add maple bacon for $5. The chicken was crunchy like a succulent KFC zinger fillet but better. Waffle was buttery and the sauce didnt have the chilli zing as advertised and just the right amount of sweetness.
The waffles with poached pears, blueberry, saffron and choc pop rocks were amaaazzzinnngggg. came with maple but it wasn't needed. such a great combo of flavours. the waffle was dense but in this instance good as it didnt go soggy under all the fruit.
third dish of salmon on crumpets with capers and creme fraiche was delicious as well. Also ordered a side of crispy potatoes and the only regret was not ordering more! super crunchy and fluffy on the inside.
The acai smoothie was blended up fresh to order, it was a thick concoction with a rich berry flavour and the perfect amount of light sweetness from the mango and apple.
My favourite dish was the southern fried chicken & waffles; chicken was hot & juicy on the inside & perfectly crunchy on the outside. Paired with the sweet/salty maple bacon, chilli butterscotch sauce and fluffy waffles, it was mouthwatering deliciousness on a plate.
Unfortunately, I was a bit underwhelmed with the waffles & poached pears.. the chai flavour was too strong and over-bearing for my liking. However, the pears were sticky, sweet & poached to perfection. The berry compote was tangy & added a bit of zing, as well as the nice surprise of the choc rocks popping in your mouth.

With a large communal table in the middle, this place screams family friendly. The bright airy simple decorated interior just makes you feel that everything is ‘it’s all good’.
They have a pretty exciting looking all-day menu, cold-pressed juices smoothies, coffees and a very extensive range of house-baked goods. As we’ve already had breakfast, we only had coffee (they use micrology beans) and cake there but all around us, we can hear everyone raving about the breakfast that they were having and just sitting there watching the numerous plates coming out from the kitchen, we can see why. We will definitely be back for breakfast, or even lunch (heard there is waffles with buttermilk fried chicken!)
I would come back again and again for the fried chicken waffles. omg they are so good. coffee was also faultless. the place has a very minimalist vibe, with efficient service. def would come back again ! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Very comfortable place to enjoy your breakfast time.
There is so convenient to parking the car.
Coffee is so great and breakfast definitely let you satisfied and fully.
Enjoy the good things in the morning!
Fantastic breakfast spot! Lovely decor and friendly service. My partner had the special, which was beef Benedict on potato rosti and I had the avocado and whipped feta with mint, peas and (my favourite) pickled red onion on toast. Both meals were delicious! The coffee was nice and I couldn't resist getting a chocolate peanut butter tart to go, which turned out to be a great call. Will definitely be returning.
Nice neat brunch place. Myself ordered superfood cruesli with mixed berries. My friend Mandy Zhao ordered the pumpkin one. She loved it! And another of our friend ordered the southern fried chicken one (but it was weird that on the menu, it says there is supposed to have bacon and egg as well, but there was chicken only!) the fried chicken is good!
After seeing photos of the breakfasts served at Good Things Cafe on social media, we were keen to try it out this morning. Expecting big things, we were not disappointed. I asked "What are you guys famous for" and the friendly waitress confidently recommended the 'Southern Fried Chicken with Waffles and Maple Bacon'. It was mouth watering deliciousness on a plate. The chicken was juicey, cruchy and tender. The flavours worked so well together. I inhaled it in a matter of seconds. My girlfriend ordered the 'srawberry & thyme compote, vanilla double cream crumpets, honeycomb, maple'. She woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning but after one bite, experiencing what she described to be a "flavour explosion in her mouth, more of a party than a meal", the world was at peace again and I have effectively gained boyfriend of the year status once more. Never have flowers on a plate tasted so exquisite. The food was exceptional. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an overall great dining experience. We will be back.
We skipped church this morning. Good Things Cafe made me feel a bit better about myself. I strongly believe that Jesus Christ himself would pay this cafe a visit before the rapture takes place, in order to experience a truly Good Thing this side of eternity.

Nestled amongst the quiet streets of Mosman Park lies the Good Things Cafe. We dropped by one saturday morning to try this place out on our way to Keane’s Pt Reserve playground. The cafe is situated along the strip of shops on Wellington Street (near IGA) with ample street parking out the front.
With Chef Darren in the kitchen, there's no way you could have a bad meal. Highlight dishes were the Southern fried chicken waffles and the Avo whipped fetta. The iced black latte was really refreshing and the fit out clean, simple and bright. Great job guys!
Best breakfast I've had. Nice clean interior. Food was perfectly executed. Fantastic avo and best chicken waffles. Delicious coffee as well. Highly recommended. Definitely worth the trip.
Had been keen to try this place because of their interesting breakfast options and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Crispy potatoes with halloumi and my partner had the Scrambled eggs and maple bacon. The potatoes were super crispy and went well with the soft poached eggs and salsa verde and rocket, I had mine with a side of avocado which I think made it even better. Tried the maple bacon for the first time which was really nice, I was expecting it to be extremely sweet but it wasn't it complemented the bacon. Coffee wasnt bad but wasn't amazing either. There was a queue to get a table but we didn't have to wait long but people with larger groups did, staff were friendly and coffee and food didn't take long to get to us. Will definitely be back to try some of the other menu options
Southern fried chicken waffles topped with maple bacon at Good Things Cafe @ Mosman Park. Simply the best start to the weekend ever!!! Juicy and crunchy.. Delicious!!
We had the pancakes, fried chicken waffles and the poached pear waffles. I thought the pancakes would've tasted better with either a maple/golden syrup or caramel type sauce instead of honey but that's just a personal preference. Huge portion of chicken with the waffles (very well priced), quite a heavy meal. The waffles were unusual texture and taste-and were extremely dense. Having had chicken and waffles in America many times this is not ideal- the waffles taste best with the chicken when they are light and chewy. The texture was almost a biscuit.
The standout was the sweet waffles, very unique flavour which worked very well-will definitely order this again!
The lady taking our order- a young brunette girl with blue eyes had excellent customer service- was very impressed. And the meals came out quickly even though the cafe was quite full. Love the coloured plates and coffee cups. The meals are extremely well priced, and the decor is lovely.
Overall
Food Presentation 8/10
Taste 7/10
Coffee 6/10
Service 8/10!
Will be back to try more!
Fried chicken and waffle are good! Perhaps needs more waffles though and get the maple bacon to accompany.
Reasonably good coffee too here.
First good thing I noticed when we arrived: the natural lighting is incredible. The fitout is simplistic and beautiful, a minimalist approach with light coloured woods, white walls and a funky mural by local artist Jae Criddle. There's a long communal table down the middle, with small and group tables on either side, plus some outdoor seating if you're so inclined. It's the sort of place that really appeals to me aesthetically and I knew I was going to like it before we even tried the food. There's a fantastic vibe.
Simple, clean concept. This is a nice little Cafe delivering delicious and decently priced foods. Quite satisfied to say the least. We ordered the fried chicken and waffle dish - which seems to be a trend these days - and it was decent, but not the best. The fried chicken was moist and crispy, however the waffle was a tad too dense for my liking - but the maple syrup wasn't too sweet and that's good. Also ordered the pumpkin dukkah dish - this was a brilliant mix of flavours and components. Loved the dukkah and also the buttery flavour from the roti below. Fried eggs were a bit overdone and would've been much better a little runny, but overall a great dish. Happy chappy.

I had the Southern fried chicken, waffles and chilli butterscotch dish, topped with maple bacon for $5. Like what I have heard from everyone else too, I thought that the dish was very delicious and bursting full of savoury and sweet flavours. The start of the dish would be the Southern fried chicken. It is crispy with a crunch in every bite.
This little gem was super cute. We ordered a take away coffee while we waited for a table, which only took 15 minutes, and it was super yummy. I got the creamy mushrooms and my friend got the haloumi, smashed potatoes with rocket dish. My dish was delicious!
The potatoes were a tad burnt on my friends dish but it was still yummy. Would definitely recommend going there to anyone. There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try so another visit is in order soon.
This cafe is really great, I had the salmon pasta and my friend had the crispy potatoes. Both were fantastic. The staff are friendly and the service is good. I definitely recommend Good Things :)
Love this place. Coffee is always amazing and the staff are fantastic. Came here for breakfast with friends and everyone loved their choice - the harissa spiced omelette was delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options and really well-priced too.
Had an amazing brunch at Good Things. We ordered the Dukkah roast pumpkin. I replaced the fried egg with avocado.. Delish!!! Coffee was brill and service was friendly. Highly recommend.
My girlfriend and I came here for lunch on Sunday and was surprised to see it fairly empty. The decor is so aesthetically pleasing in a minimalistic way. If I were to ever open a cafe, I would want it to look something like this place. I got the caramelised banana-nut hotcakes with maple bacon which was nice but a tad rich. My girlfriend got the smashed crispy potatoes which was so delicious! We also shared some donuts but they were a bit dry (probably because they were the last two).
Good range of tasty dishes, friendly and attentive staff. Particularly liked the acai smoothie and home made sausage rolls. Would recommend.
Came here for lunch with my boyfriend and I had the crispy potatoes while he had the hot cakes. Both dishes were delicious but we both got sick of it halfway and ended up swapping dishes with each other. The interior of this place is very simple and minimal which I adore! One of the most simple yet beautiful interiors I've seen. After our mains my boyfriend also order 2 of their house donuts, one being Nutella and the other strawberry. These were okay, nothing special as it was literally just a donut with strawberry jam and nutella inside. Would come back to try other things on the menu.
This was a Groovy place with cool vibes. Delicious tasty fresh food and huge portions! Defs going back to get some more of those pancakes and maple bacon!
Went there for breakfast. Such a clean, chilled cafe. Great hot chocolate! Would definitely try them for breakfast. Huge portions! And friendly staff :)

I brought my sister on my second visit to Good Things. It's smoothie kind of day so I ordered Cacao & Banana smoothie whilst Sist had Kids Banana smoothie. Mine got more banana taste than Sist, yummy smoothie. We ordered Southern Fried Chicken Waffle with Chilli Butterscotch and Polenta Cake with Balsamic Mushroom, Tempura Enoki, Spinach, Goats Cheese & Poached Egg. Lastly, for dessert we had a Portuguese Egg Tart. Waffle was a bit too heavy to our liking and butterscotch sauce was too sweet. It ended up becoming a sweet dish instead of savoury for us. Balsamic mushroom and tempura enoki was good but the polenta cake got no taste. Portuguese Egg Tart was also too sweet for us. Unfortunately it wasn't a great dining experience for us. Hopefully third visit will be better.

Nice cozy place, unique & tasty food plus good service. Too bad their coffees didn't hit the mark. I'd go back again. Keen to try their thick hotcakes, looks yummy! 'Til next time...

Amazing breakfast, plenty of seating, fast service and delish coffee! Will definitely be going back soon! Toast and preserve was also excellent.
We will definitely be back!. This morning we tried Good Things for the first time for breakfast. The coffee was great and obviously made by a good barista. The food was delicious and the portions were decent for the price. We'd definitely be back again!
