loooooooove this place. the nasi goreng is my hands-down favourite. there are plenty of options for vegetarians yay (some vegan options too)! the coffee on weekend mornings is delish and they have bonsoy!! great space & lovely staff. highly recommended! x
Great food and lovely staff.
Had such a great time and enjoyed the roti canai, beef nasi lemak and the dahl dish. Generous portions full of crunch and flavour.
Will be back very soon!
Food flavours are exceptional and the coffee tasted fantastic ( hate a bad coffee ) . Was great to have variety and that "something different option" on the menu and catered for the kids . Couldn't help myself on getting the Big Breakfast but will be back to try those different options which looked divine
This is the 3rd time i have eaten there great service loved the food

Friendly staff, flavoursome food, fast service and fantastically priced. Will be going back for sure!!
Food is authentic and taste great. Ambiance is rustic and very friendly staff. Sambal chicken is my favorite.
Amazing! After being fully booked out tonight still managed to get a table. Service was excellent. See you soon!
Authentic food with good sized serves
Can’t beat the price & also love their variety of Malay food. They even offer Malay style brekky that I’m looking forward to try. Very easy in & out for quick dinner.
This is a cute little place with some classic Malaysian food done right. Usually busy so best to book. We’ve tried the Nasi Lemak and the mixed platter which is amazing if you’re looking for some crunchy fried goodness and fresh salad!
Have been here a few times and the food has always been very good but certainly understand the poor reviews for ‘at times’ bizarre service and ‘vibe’. So today we pre-ordered takeaway and somewhat surprisingly it went very smoothly and the Beef Rendang, Kerabu Salad, Mixed Veg Dalcha were all great.

I’ve only been once but intend to go back on a weekend when I can get the rotti bread ( only served on the weekends?) but I had the nasi goreng and I really enjoyed it. But the next day I felt like I had a hang over, and all my friends I ate with complained about the same horrible headache and stomach ache. MSG maybe? Unsure but keen to try again and hopefully have a better experience.

Had lunch here on a Sat with a scoopon ($25 for $50 value) which got us two teh tarik, beef rendang, sambal ayam and rice. For two people it was an enjoyable meal in terms of portion and flavour. I had been concerned after seeing the reviews for this place but we enjoyed everything, especially the rendang. Service was friendly with only a slight hiccup...when I booked (online) I asked for a high chair which was not noted bc the girl said she was going to put us at one of the tall tables with bar stools! Fortunately, as the place was quite empty we easily sat elsewhere and a high chair brought over.
Been here a couple of times for lunch. Not sure about dinner time that everyone complain about, but lunch was pretty quiet and there was no problem with a table. Food is delishious, tried laksa and nasi lemak - one with chicken (do not recommend, as it was tasteless) and another one with beef (delishious!). In general everything was good. Never seen malaysian milk tea served hot as they did here. Usually it is served cold unless you ask for a hot one? Maybe I do not understand something :) but asked for ice later and got it cold :) Will revisit and want to try more of their food.
Although it is a place to share, the dishes are hearty and could be mains. I prefer to err on the healthy side, which was hard here, but most would find something to satisfy. I wish there were more soups and vegetable dishes though. I had the vermicelli chicken salad and vegetable dahl and both were hearty and delicious. Others enjoyed the rendang and nyonya curry.

Amazing service with friendly and well informed staff who know a lot about the menu. Authentic and delicious food with lots of lemon grass, beautiful homemade peanut sauce and tasty sambal. For years I have been waiting for a decent Indonesian/Malaysian place to open in Perth and this place is a dream come true. Try the tasting plate and the Nasi Lemak with beef rendang. It's BYO and I suggest bringing cold beers to wash it down. Can't wait to go back!
Great food, extremely friendly staff.
You have to book even on a Wednesday night!
That say it all!
One minor point they need to supply filter tap water
We live just around the corner from this place so we decided to give it a go.
We took a beef redang with some rice (just normal steamed white rice which was $6!), a classic roti and a Tom yum seafood fried noodles. The food was quite good and tasty, spicy but not too much. The beef redang was our favourite. The portions were quite big.
We were welcome by a staff member as soon as we stepped in. She was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.
Brilliant food at a great price. The old Gar Lok building has been revived with tasty food and a great atmosphere. The beef rendang was amazing and the fish curry delicious. A real surprise was the sago dessert with brownie pieces and ice cream - yum!
