It was some of the best food w’ve had anywhere. Great mixture of tastes and textures. Very good service in clean and well presented surroundings. Little gem of a place we’ll definitely be back ! Anyone looking for great Indian food...Must try.

Horrible Experience!! I booked through Fork with a discount voucher and from the start they showed discriminating attitude.. Why to promote your restaurant on Fork if you have such a problem. They discriminated by giving us low quality crockery - we could see fancy crockery served on other tables. Staff was rude. Food was below average and very overpriced. Ambience was very shady. There are plenty of other Indian restaurants where I can pay much lower and have great meal. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. Utterly disappointed!!

This is an amazing restaurant. Had a wonderful meal last night. The food was tasty and authentic Indian and the service was outstanding. Jimmy recommended exactly what we needed - we were going to order more dishes but he said it would be too much. Spot on. No up-selling here. Spacious restaurant with white linen tablecloths. Tables well spaced apart - so important at the moment.

What a mistake!!! Bad food, poor customer service and pathetic ambience! Must also mention- We went their to celebrate my birthday and requested them to provide us quarter plates for cutting the cake at the end of the party and staff/owner said they will charge $5 per person.. Seriously!! They just want to rip every dollar from you!! Stay away from them. Edit to Owners Response - Look at your audacity!! Trying to cover your lies and poor service with false claims.. You guys should close this restaurant business and open a law firm instead.. And If you have so much problem with Fork, why do you market your restaurant there.. Just to attract customers - mate sorry to say you might attract people at first but this business is of long term trust and loyalty which you guys can never build!! I wrote the review so that other customers don’t fall into the trap.. I know for a fact that the reviews you have on your restaurant are all from your friends and family.. You guys don’t deserve a single star on food or service...

Great meal. Friendly service, food was fantastic especially the Goat curry, so so tender with just the right amount of spice. And the Cheese Naah bread was to die for, we ended up ordering thirds and still wanted more!

YUM! Such a fantastic meal. The food was sensational and the service was on point. We ordered a mushroom korma and a paneer butter masala with 2 garlic and cheese naans. 10/10 recommend. The waiter was thoughtful enough to bring out each naan separately so it didn't go cold. Very friendly :)

The best Indian food you will ever eat! This restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere accompanied by extremely kind and friendly staff. The quality of food is consistently perfect and the menu caters for all types of diets. The food is always tasty and fresh. I have never had an experience short of brilliant whenever I have eaten here. My family has been going here for over 20 years and it is one of my absolute favourite restaurants. 5/5 I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Indian food or any kind of good quality food!

Will definitely come back for the Biryani, it was made to order, served in a hot pot perfect for two. One of the best I have had in Sydney

We did not dine at this restaurant but had take away food. The meat they use is very high quality compared to regular Indian restaurants in the Eastern Suburbs, Naans are not greasy at all. Overall, very good food

if you are looking for a place where you can have a great dinner and a good conversation with your friends and family, this is the place. Food is fresh and tasty with generous portions. We had a tandoori mushrooms, biryani rice, tandoori platter, dhal and palak paneer. Highly recommend.

This is our favourite restaurant. Home style Indian cooking that reminds us of the curry houses in UK but better. It brings memories of my fiance's curry night with his rowing crew in Cambridge and reminds me of the food my Indian housekeeper cook when I was growing up. We will opt for this restaurant than any other 3 hats or Michelin star restaurant anytime, any day.

A forgotten gem. This one really is a forgotten gem and well worth a visit if you haven't been lately.

Like many reviewers of Indian restaurants, I am English and am always searching for a decent curry that can hold a candle to the ones I grew up with. I've lived in Australia for many years and often find the curries bland, gravy like and rarely hot enough. I sympathise with the poor restaurant owners who try to pamper to local tastes by serving up mild, sweet, creamy butter chicken and loose sight of what makes Indian food so enjoyable.

Anyway back to the Taste of India, I have eaten here many times over the years but not for a while and was amazed at how good the food was last night. The Naan (always a good weather vane for the quality of an Indian Restaurant) was soft and fluffy, and the Roti was great. For mains, we had a Chicken Jalfrezi, a Lamb Dhansak and some Dhal which were all very fresh and tasty.

The service was very good, attentive and personal but we were late and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The owner is a lovely lady and it's great to talk to her about the food and origins of the dishes. Her menu is made up of authentic dishes form the Bombay (Mumbai) area she grew up in.

The decor could do with a bit of an overhaul as it is a little dated and cold but the chairs are comfortable.

I will definitely be going back...soon!

Great curries!. My fiancé had dinner here (19Jan15). I had a vindaloo (hot!) and she had butter masala. Both tardy dishes and walked out of there quite full.
After living in the the UK for five years, my fiancé was dreading having a curry in Australia, but this restaurant has true authenticity. Delicious curries, warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.

One of our favourites. We live in Dee Why and often go up to this Mosman restaurant for our Indian fix. These guys are so consistent with great food, and the restaurant itself is really comfortable and a homely space - none of the modern, hard chairs and hard, noisy floors you so often see these days. The staff are happy and helpful. It's the best Indian that we've tried around the northern beaches/Mosman area. One thing you'll notice is how little oil they use in their dishes as compared to others - you'll leave feeling much cleaner and not like you've overdone it.
