Review Il Perugino - Mosman

Fran Cormack
Having lived in Mosman for the best part of 8 years I thought it about time we visited Il Perugino. Why have we not been sooner to this neighbourhood gem? Friendly service. One of those menus that I could choose so much from, the hardest part of the evening is narrowing down your choices. The chicken liver entree, (perfect) venison main, and a tiramisu to finish made up a fabulous evening.

Perfect food, perfect ambiance, amazing service. We have been wanting to come here for years but finally got the opportunity to experience this beautiful family run restaurant. The only regret I have is not coming earlier. This is how dining should be done. Thank you Anna and Christian, we can’t wait to come back soon.

Always amazing food and the takeaway service during Covid works really well. Our kids loved the spaghetti and the beef cheeks just fell apart when we ate them....

I have walked past this restaurant almost every weekend for 2 years and decided it was finally time to give it a try. I'm really glad I did. All of the food was excellent. I had the sardines for entree and venison for main. Between the 6 of us we managed to try a fair chunk of the menu, everyone was happy. Service was personal and lovely. Appreciate the BYO at such a nice restaurant.

Il Perugino is one of those places that you want to tell everyone about because it is that good and then you get annoyed because they are fully booked! A very friendly family run Italian restaurant with a menu that changes due to what is in season. My favourites are their Veal chops and orecchiette with broccoli. Save space for dessert though as the Tiramisu is seriously yum. We have often bought gift vouchers from them too as everyone we know who has gone loves it.

OK... the food was good.. but .very tight sitting and noisy would have rated higher but we had a voucher that was given to us for Christmas and the owner would not honour it on the spot as we had a copy (the original was held at the restaurant by the owners wife), made a fuss as though we were trying to rip him off. Very embarrassing as we had taken friends. He called on Monday to apologise but by then it was too late the damage had been done.

Nice little Italian, gets busy. Food was very tasty and fresh. Warm and friendly staff. We were all very impressed. Very cozy and warm good for that special occasion .

You're here for the food only not the atmosphere as table seating is tight (sitting on top of one another) and its quite noisy with the hard floors. That said, the food is delicious. You won't go far wrong ordering anything off the menu.
